Saluce was truthfully a mess, several different crimson colors found their way onto his coat. First the crimson of the Cougar, then the crimson of his own blood running down his left shoulder. Still open from the Cougars final parting gift a reminder of the life that had ended. Then crimson from the small wolf dog mix whatever that he carried in his arms towards home. If for nothing else, Layla would be upset, and his mind could see her reaction as if he could see the future. The shoulder burned with painful heat, already bickering about the weight he was carrying with it. Looking down at the female in his arms knowing for some reason he was an idiot for doing this. Somehow he had never been much of a savior, only the one who offered the easy way out. Now though as eyes beheld the odd mix of canine species in his arms, he wondered what was more damaged her mind or her body.

Saluce didn’t howl for Layla, knowing at some level, he didn’t want to upset any other of their pack mates, or bring alarm to the pack. If she wasn’t home he would if needed, but he would check home first. Knowing his love had been off doing what she liked to lately, and so they had found an easy balance of keeping themselves occupied and returning that evening to each other. Determined to make it home before he would have to lay down his form continued walking, this form didn’t grant him the speed that he wanted, but it granted him the ability to carry. So as the male endured for the moment, his nose started picking up scents of home. Before long those blue eyes looked upon the house in the distance as he continued silently. Long ago the female had tucked her head into his chest and let sleep come over her. Maybe it was for the best, a struggling soul would have made this trip much less of a success.

Soon his feet felt the wood of their front porch as he ascended the few little steps onto it. Then he paused wondering how he would open the door with his hands tied. Maybe now was as good a time as any for him to call for her.

“Layla” his voice almost haggard and broken from no use on the journey home, the behemoth tried again after clearing his throat. “Layla, I need your help”

Yuki now. Btw, do you think she'll need stiches? WC: 491 {3 points}

Although Layla was trying to get out of the house more, she knew that she had done enough patroling for now. The mistress hoped her and her mate's patrols were not going unnoticed. Aside from patrols there was not much more that she could do to help out the pack. No one was injured so she did not need to use the healing skills she acquired. Since there was nothing more for her to do, today was just going to be a relaxing day at home. It was a bit of a mess, so Layla was taking time to get the house cleaned up a bit to impress Saluce when he returned home. Cleaning the house was not so bad but it was still rather lonely having no company around the house. It was times like these when the mistress wished they had pups to take care of. With pups around the house, Layla would have more to do and when she was doing some personal things, she wouldn't feel so lonely all the time. After the fun that the mistress had shared with the behemoth, the promise of pups seemed only a short distance away. She still wanted to put up some decorations in the house. Seeing as Saluce liked gears, perhaps there would be some old ones laying around that she could use to brighten up the place, but for now, today was just for cleaning and checking on her herbs.

It wasn't suprising that Saluce was out of the house so much seeing as his shop was outside and a bit away. Once she heard him outside, she was a bit curious. Surely he was alright enough to open the door by himself. Seeing as he was the only one who would be around, she didn't think to be wearing anything. The mistress moved back over to door and opened it slowly so that just her head was showing. "Something wro-" She paused mid way to see him covered in blood and holding the girl in her arms. She opened the door and stood behind it, not realizing the door, not realizing her love was bringing someone with her. "Love come in. Seat her down somewhere comfortable, I'll be with you in a moment." With that, the mistress raced upstairs to put on some clothes and then came back down. While the behemoth was with the girl, Layla went to her back room to gather the herbs she would need as well as some bandages. Once she had gathered those, she raced to the kitchen to get some cool water and a towel so she could clean them. Once everything was together, she raced to her love and the girl. Realizing that the girl was the guest, she took the towel and began to look over her, cleaning her wounds. Her orbs moved to Saluce as she went to work. "Love, what happened to you? Who is this?"

Sorry for the slow reply. And yes, she might need stiches on her stomach or something.

Unlike most others, Yuki often prone to wake in Alpha REM mode. Meaning that she could hear sounds long before she awoke, causing her panic when she completely returned to the real world. Inside her mind things were so complicated, a mash of reality and her interpretation of what it should be. Blood was usually involved in her dreams, either splattered every where or painting a familar stranger's body. She was terrified when her own pain turned on her, no longer the warmth of blood, but the sting of the towel.

She flinched and whined quietly at the first couple of dabs. She wasn't much of a screamer, especially since she didn't want to embarrass herself any more. She had gotten herself into this mess, no better way to explain it. She had let herself be attacked, she had allowed her savior to take her onto pack lands, and now her life was once again in someone elses hands. Her inner self was both insulting and praising her. "At least you didn't kill him.." It almost disgusted her how she referred to the animal as an equal to both herself and others, "But aren't you?" The answer was unclear on many levels, "Did he breath? Did he have fears? Emotions?" All of these things she did not know, and probably never would. As far as she knew, wolves were the only beings with sophisticated emotions. But had that always been true? She did not know. Humans must of had emotions, from looking through their houses they all had personalitys. Things they enjoyed, and things they did not. No one was as different as they claimed to be. Everyone came down to the same thing in the end.

Her eyes were barely thin slits, but she studied her surroundings as best she could. She hoped she wouldn't be seen as a threat by others members of this pack, at least for the moment. She was unsure that she could move any again. Something inside her knew that she could not live on her own if she was badly injured, but she would not accept it. A loner was all she had ever been, she had no people skills. She could hunt, but had never caught a deer. She hadn't actually attempted to even catch any thing bigger then a rabbit, which she still only got when she was really hungry. The only real thing she could bring to the table was her hearing, it had always been above average. It was helpful, on the days when she was practically blind in her eye, it helped to pay more attention to the sounds around her. "Helped avoid danger.." Thoughts like these made her wonder, again, why she hadn't ran.

Saluce set the she wolf down on the couch in the main room. His blue orbs lingered on Layla’s form for a moment as he shook his head quietly in a guilty fashion with a nervous smile. Knowing he had done exactly what she didn’t like, jumped in and attacked something. For now he would let her work on the stray in their home. The behemoth knew where some of the supplies where to start taking care of himself for a bit before he knew she would come over and start working on him. Setting down in a chair, and with a bottle of alcohol he started cleaning the wound on his shoulder. Sharp grunts and snarls where emitted as the burn penetrated the wound. He needed a bath; the smell was quite terrible from all the mixed smells of blood and different animals. But for now he sat quietly with a rag against his shoulder to stop the now re-opened cuts from bleeding out onto their furniture.

Saluce was tired after the day; eyes listlessly looked over at his darling mate as she worked on the she wolf he had carried here. His eyes looking upon her form with curiosity. Wondering what she was doing so close to a cougar to get into trouble like that. Yuki’s scent didn’t hint at the ability to shift, but then again he hadn’t known her for very long. But still a lone wolf should have never taken such a chance, and for now he was puzzled as to that fact. Confused slightly but glad to be back home his quiet stature continued to just look onward, eyes enjoying his mates form.

Saluce smiled softly as he looked upon his mate, she was bent down slightly looking over the stray, but it gave him a wonderful view of her cute rear. And he also found her much more endearing as she worked, knowing for now she was in her element, helping people.

I left it off half way so that Saluce and Yuki could do some actions together while she's away. WC: 506 {6 points, 1 for Word of the Day}

It was bad enough that the two wolves had come to Layla in such bad condition but it was even worse when neither of them told her what had happened. They were obviously attacked by something. It couldn’t have been another wolf, the wounds were too big. Perhaps a bear or some other creature attacked them. The mistress’ heart was filled with so much worry that she was scared if they would have scars to remember this event by or not.

As she continued to work on the loner, she noticed just how big her wound was on her chest. It was much too large for her to just use some herbs and let it heal naturally. Layla was going to need much more to help her out. The only thing the mistress could think of was to give her some stitches and let it heal that way. She continued to press the towel on the she wolf’s chest as it turned from white to a light crimson red. This was getting bad and she would have to act fast if she wanted to get those stitches in. Surely there would be some at the pharmacy as well as something she could use to numb the loner’s stomach area.

Her gaze moved to her mate as he had the other rag against his shoulder wound. The black and white she wolf was sure that her mate was well enough to take care of himself and that meant to bandage his own wounds. The loner was the main priority right now and it would be hard to take care of them both at the same time. Carefully she moved the loner so that there was pressure on the towel against her stomach wound and she was able to leave for a short amount of time. She raced back to her herb room to grab one of her vials of aloe ointment. She also grabbed her bandages and made her way back to the behemoth. She placed the items near him and moved her orbs to his gaze. ”I have to stop at the pharmacy to get some things for her. Just take the ointment and rub it on the wound and bandage it up. You can handle that can’t you?” She hoped he could or she was in big trouble. Without a second thought, she raced for the door. ”Keep an eye on her love! I’ll be back shortly!” As soon as she said that, she rushed out the door and began to head to the pharmacy.

It was hard for Layla to have an agog look in her eyes when there was blood in her mind. She had to make it back quickly and she hoped Saluce was taking care of himself and Yuki while she was at the pharmacy. Once she arrived to the pharmacy, she looked through the drawers until she found the stitches. She then began to look for some needles and perhaps a solution she could use to numb the loner’s chest.

"Maybe it will hide your old scar." The voice in her head suggested, no longer complaining about her previous stupidity. She couldn't tell exactly who it was, many different things went on in her mind at once. The voice of her mother was usually the one scolding her, it was what helped her raise herself 'right'. It helped her protect herself.. Most times. Telling her to yell this, or scream that. In most situations, it was hard to ignore. But the it was not alone. Another version of herself lived along side it, a more hoarse and rough sounding version. It was her daring side, her devilish side. It always encouraged pleasure, no matter to cost for others. The one voice that could be considered 'good' barely ever spoke up. It whispered quiet things to her at times, telling her not to blow her top just yet. And right now, it was trying to convince her not to snap.

She opened her eyes as she heard the woman leave, confused with the fact that she was leaving her in this condition. She assumed she was laying on some thing confortable, but was working to hard to numb her body to feel it. "Whats ointment?" She asked, truely confused by the woman's statement. The term 'love' didn't register with her either. Love was an emotion, "One you can block out." A voice commented. "And how can you keep an eye on my 'love'?" She questioned, craning her neck to look at the male. She hoped the word wasn't a reference for a certain part of her body, at this thought a slight shutter rolled over her body, followed by tight pain. She only learned the terms she needed to, english was much like a puzzle you could never finish. You were always missing a peice here or there, so she didn't bother to even LOOK for them all. "Please don't think I'm foolish, but please don't touch my 'love'.. Where ever it is. I don't really care how bad it hurts."

Saluce watched Layla go about her duties, for now he was content to take care of himself. Eyes watched the women on the couch though as layla left. Her voice spoke of confusion as she looked around their home, eyes just as confused as her voice was. Did this she wolf really have it all together, or was she a retarded mess. The behemoth just sat quietly ready to act if she moved; otherwise he didn’t entertain the wolf’s thoughts. There wasn’t much to express really, if she didn’t understand that there were three people in the room then him trying to explain Layla’s comments wouldn’t work either. Yawning and finally bandaged he stood and walked to the kitchen to get some water. The large storage device he used for this stuff was similar to a metal drum, except it was cleaned and he would fetch water in the mornings to fill it. The male came back with a bowl for her and a glass for him filled of the cool liquid.

“Drink, it’s water, will help your parched throat” he said in a matter of fact tone. Now he was beginning to reconsider his decision to help this pour soul, eyes fell on her form with distaste, glad that at least his mate was caring enough to help her. Otherwise this was the extent of his caring, he defended, carried and got her water. Otherwise he’d be ready to put her out on the porch and leave her to her own devices.

“Call if you need anything” seeing as he would have an ear full from his mistress if he didn’t at least offer. Eyes scanned over the mixed breed, mutt with contempt. Not even a hint at being able to change forms. “You are weak physically and mentally. No one is going to touch your “love” and you best treat my mate who is going to care for you with respect. Now stop your silly day dreaming, you’re in a safe place. No reason to get all fussy and make my home irritable”
