Sorry it took so long! If you want others welcome, I can change it from private too. Big Grin. Oh, and this is in the Wolfville harbor.

Food, food, food. Mala could feel the winter slowly creeping behind the back of autumn, and though she loved nothing more than to watch the leaves change and fall, hunger pushed her more than she was willing. She didn't really know where she found herself, as the smell of the salty air and the hope for grub put her at the edge of a small harbor. The creature paused mid-stride as the forest ended and the beginnings of buildings began to replace tall trees. Malachi turned to look behind her, and seemed to make a very cautious decision. She would keep moving.

It seemed empty, but Mala made sure to watch where she stepped and made sure not to overturn anything, not even a simple rock or a box. Everything seemed eerily quiet, except for the sound of her heavy breathing and the growl in her stomach. Traversing a few buildings, she peeked around the corner for signs of life, and instead found the small harbor. And harbors, from her experience, meant fish.
The big animal slowly padded towards the area, trying to keep herself low, quiet, and alert. It must look funny to see a big ball of fuzz try to slink around in an empty town. As she neared the harbor, she was somewhat taken aback by the high tide that came in and swept along the wooden planks, and decided it was best if she.. wasn't near the water. Yeah.

Lifting her muzzle into the air, she sniffed about as she kept on walking, which drove her into a nearby shop. The door in the entrance-way was hanging on only by a hinge, and shaken eerily by the wind. Malachi shivered, but from where she stood she saw some interesting nicknacks still hanging on shelves. Perhaps it held food, too! The creature slowly lumbered inside, her ears twitching with a sort of uneasiness as the last part of her rump squeezed inside the building.

Today the behemoth was out again patrolling, this time though; he caught a scent before even nearing Dahlia’s southern borders. The big male who was already in his Secui form changed directions, nose to the ground and adamant about finding out why this bear was treading so damn close to his home, and the homes of his fellow pack mates. Hungry bears weren’t good bears, good bears where either far the hell away or dead. So with a careful nature the grey continued his trek, tracking the intruder that was so closely infringing upon the heart of their pack lands. Children and pregnant females resided here, especially his pregnant mate, and with that knowledge his hackles rose almost on their own accord, growing more pissed at each passing minute.

Soon his form padded across to the dock, now watching the bear silently as it went about its way to whatever the hell it wanted. For now he just kept track of it from afar. The bear was big, and without any sort of back up, and without his swords he wouldn’t be able to do much to it. Each move it made, brought the same move in response from him, if needed he would drive the bear from the town and away. If he could pull off making it think there were more than just one wolf growling at it.

A growl emitted from his throat as he watched the bear wiggle its way into a building. Knowing at least from watching it struggle to enter that he could taunt and threaten out here and get out of harm’s way before it could reach him. The growl was low, and challenging, describing a peculiar hatred from the beast’s kind.

Scare time! And so appropriate for the first of October. Big Grin
Song translation: Though you leave us early, we thank you for leading the way for us. Continue to be brave, little boy, into the future.

Malachi was quickly disappointed when all she found were little trinkets full of sand on the shelves and decorative seashells still hanging from the ceiling. Still, she decided to let her nose guide her way, and she closed her eyes to sniff out any other particular edible scents.
But that is when a new smell hit her nose. She couldn't quite grasp it, and there wasn't much wind on this day to tell for sure, but it made the creature open her eyes. Something told her to turn around, but in the small aisle she felt a little squeezed in and hadn't noticed. Only then did her nose -really- detect that something, or someone, else was in the vicinity, and her muscles froze in place.

The growl she heard very softly at first, but it was no less menacing than the next time her ears twitched wildly as it neared. Mala attempted to scoot around and have her body face the doorway again, but she didn't want to make much noise or break anything (as if it was going to help this town..). Instead, for the moment, she lowered her body and attempted to make herself as small as she could, her stubby tail low along with her ears and muzzle. Even the beads around her neck didn't click-clack as she hunkered down, hoping it wasn't her intrusion that was causing the growling.

"Tlia' Mise'l ki'l naqsi- nqaliek... Wela'liek tel-nikan-awti'kewiek.." Malachi's nerves began to build, and in attempt to ease her nervousness, she began to sing softly under her breath. "Siaw mlkita' ki'l l'pa'tu'ji'j, Elmi'knik."

Today's Number 1 threatdown! BEARS!

His growls continued expressing his distaste for the creature now stuck in the building. Eyes watching with a seething hatred as the big creature found itself stuck. It would have been easy for Saluce then to attack but the bear’s actions confused him for the moment. She or he was hunkering down making themselves appear submissive, and his head swiveled to the side in a fashion that reflected his confusion. Saluce only waited a moment though, thoughts of the scar on his mates face, his own hip still bothering him from time to time, all the work of bears that had crossed their paths. Now he only looked upon them as enemies that needed to be run out, ran off, and or killed. Only now he was confused as to what this damnable creature was doing.

Ears flicked in an annoying fashion, hearing the sounds that reminded him of singing. Now he was truly confused, the growls ceased for the moment his eyes moving from the door to the window as his form paced back in forth in anger. Again it would be easily for his form to enter and attack, maybe even end its pathetic life, but he didn’t. Soon he moved around the back of the building, and entered that way, blue eyes seething as they fell upon the huddled down bear with interest and still a stature that screamed he hated what was in front of him. For the moment the behemoth just watched, before speaking, assuming it had the ability to speak their lingo.

“You better explain yourself Bear” he said in a menacing tone, eyes burning a hole into whatever exposed part of the bear was available to him. Silently moving around his form still stalking, still leaving him an easy escape path, and a path to attack as well. “I do not have time to suffer such a presence so near to my loved ones”

Bear-wolves! Now that's one scary thought. Even scarier than... Man-bear-pig.

The only thing that went through the beast's mind was: There's no place like home... But she had no home, yet the thoughts of her tribe were the only thing that could comfort her at this very moment. Each little fur on her body trembled with the growls she heard of a very, very angry wolf. But why was it angry at her? By this point, Malachi forgot all about her hunger and wanted nothing more than to be out of the building and free from harm.
Her eyes were level to the ground, and watched as the wolf entered through the back, where she was able to determine it was a male, and from a quick glance at his eyes, he was not very happy at all. Malachi swiftly averted her eyes and kept them to the ground, shaking but not wanting to make any quick movements.

“You better explain yourself Bear”, the wolf said. Out of pure instinct and all that Mala knew, her honey-green eyes flew open (for apparently they were closed not moments before). Her rounded ears shot up as high as they could on her massive head, and suddenly her submissive position turned into that of a defensive one. Why was there ALWAYS a bear when she was around other wolves?!
Malachi managed to stand and squeeze herself from the aisle, her posterior now nearly sticking out of the entrance to the building. She looked about nervously, now more worried about where the bear was than what this male could do now that she was in his territory.

"Wh-wh-wh... where?! Where is it?!" The creature stammered, now turning her back to the male and nudging herself out of the building. In between her panic, Mala even heard the male say something about his loved ones. The knot in Malachi's stomach twisted even more with that knowledge.

Malachi looked over to the other with a worried and painful expression in her eyes. "I.. I know I've tr-tresspassed on your lands, and I apologize s-sir. But.. allow me t-to help you get rid of that pest. I d-don't want it near your family," she stated, with a bit more stress on the last word. It nearly choked the creature up, but she shook her head from side to side and turned towards the male still standing at the back of the building, each muscle of hers braced to defend and the ends of her fur bristling. Even if she did not know this stranger, she felt obligated to defend herself, the male, and his family from the invader.
