This meeting is not mandatory. :> Follows directly from No Drums for This Soldier. Basically going to be a relaxed thing where Kae maybe tells everybody how Inferni first got started. Then somebody (Gabe? Or maybe Corona? :O) could tell about how they survived the fire. ^^; Something like that! Feel free to PM me if you have any other ideas of what we could do hurr. :> Also, I has permission to powerplay Gabe coming in near the end, but everyone can reply immediately if they like. (508)

The silver-shaded coyote and one of her oldest friends caught up a little as they made their way deeper into the coyote territory. It had occurred to Kaena some weeks ago that it had been a long, long time since Inferni had a proper meeting—the wartime meetings during the Dahlian crisis hardly counted in the Centurion's estimation. The coyotes were always a loosely-affiliated bunch, and in her estimation, they required a certain amount of forced bonding. Besides, she wanted Kesho to see what they had become. In truth, there were few whole-blooded coyotes anymore. Inferni had become intensely hybridized, and the scarred Centurion did not know how the newest Tirones would react to this. She valued his opinion, of course, but there was certainly no way it could take precedence over clan loyalty. And many of these hybrids were her own children.

“Inferni's changed a lot. New territory, new faces,” she began, hesitantly. “I think I'll try to call them together. It's been a while anyway.” Kaena saw no reason not to celebrate—Kesho had returned, and he had returned on the cusp of winter, eight years to the day (though of course, the date was unknown to Kaena) that they'd gathered on that skinny old strip of beach. “We'll head to the beach by the caves. Good spot,” she said, rising from her thoughts. From there, the silver-shaded coyote picked up the pace, moving with more eagerness in her step. Certainly, she had lost considerable speed from her youth—this did not mean she was incapable of running.

When they reached the beach, the coyote woman felt a longing to dive into the waves and chase after them. Maybe Kesho would join in. She kept her composure, however, and simply slowed to a stop over the sand, yellow-golden eye peering over the stretch of beach they called their own now. It was probably less coast space than Hell's Coast, but it was close to the caves, and the scarred coyote thought this beach could have even been prettier than their original coastline. Rocks jutted out of the water, glistening with the spray and battering of the ocean. Tide pools were more plentiful on this beach, and they had the deltas of the rivers, too. As much as she might have ached for the old beach, the coyote did not think this one was so terrible.

There was a hint of a smile on her muzzle as she tilted it back to the sky and called for the clan, a soft and imploring tone that did not demand their presence or raise any sort of alarm; the hybrid did not wish for anyone to rush over in the hopes of finding trouble. Just moments after she had grown quiet again, a familiar figure emerged from the hills of the caves, moving steadily in their general direction. Kae muttered a quick introduction to Kesho, hoping he would recover from the possible shock of learning the leader of the clan was now Kaena's son, and turned to greet Gabriel.

Hi Sie. Let's get this fun party started. Enter Sepirah. WC: 513 {5 points}

Sepirah smiled as her legs aimed high in the air. She was still doing her daily practicing as well as developing her new technique. So far it was coming along nicely and some different tunes played in her head. Her training partner was still just an invisible coyote, but he was simply too easy. The dark princess wanted more of a challenge, but there simply was not anyone around who seemed interested in her training. Her brother certain didn’t seem to want to help her out. He was too busy with Aunt Eris it seemed and learning the arts of healing. Then again, it wasn’t like the jackal wasn’t doing other things. She decided that she was going to work on her spying techniques as well. She wanted to help gather useful information that may have been able to help Inferni. Sadly she had nothing new to report. The latest news she gave was informing her grandmother about the new pack that was going to be in the area. A soft sigh passed her lips as she delievered the final blow on her fake partner.

Sepirah decided to take a break from her training and go for a walk along the beach. She was not aware that he grandmother was nearby and beginning a meeting, but it would be nice to see her again, even if she already saw her recently. The dark princess felt that out of all the members of Inferni, she was the closest to her grandmother. She was a fantastic leader and knew there was a spot open in the leadership for the spying tier. The jackal wanted to impress Kaena as well as Gabriel so she would be the one to earn that spot. A smile formed on her face as she continued along and her hands slipped into her jean pockets.

Sepirah had only walked a short distance when she saw her grandmother once more. It really was no surprise that she found her out here. If she remembered correctly, the coyote mentioned that this was her favorite place to be. Her smile only widened as she waved to get her grandmother’s attention. ”Kaena! How nice to bump into you again. You look like you’re doing well. Is there something going on? I’m just taking a break from some training and I wouldn’t mind giving you some company.” The jackal’s head turned when she saw Gabriel walking into the scene. She wagged her tail with excitement. Perhaps this was her chance to show them the development in her training. She would only do so if the leaders asked her to though. She gave a small wave to Gabriel as he came close. ”Good evening sir. It’s nice to see you again. Am I interrupting something? Perhaps I could come by some other time then.” Her slim body remained standing as she was sure there was some sort of private meeting going on with just the leaders, so she decided to come back some other time, that was unless of course the leaders wished for her to stay.

Izaak had never been to a formal meeting before so of course he was nosy. The call went up and the boy had taken off quickly. "Komm Blitzen, ich werde gewinnen." He called out the words to his albino companion. The animal was starting to get bigger as time passed so of course it had no problems in keeping up with the child. At one point it had even passed by Izaak and the boy had to call out to it. "Warte auf mich!" The animal seemed to have grown to understand him some seeing at it slowed down enough for Izaak to catch up again. The young coyote giggled and clapped his hands as he praised his pet.

When he came upon where the call originated from there were already a few there. But those were ignored in the favor of a single one. With arms outstretched he ran straight towards the grey female, the caribou calf still at his heels. "Sissy!" He cried out cheerfully as he tried to hug Kaena. Clearly he had his mind made up. No amount of persuasion would have him viewing the co-leader any differently. "Why sissy makes noises fors?" The question was posed as the child looked up eagerly at the female that he was trying to cling to. "Looks! Blitzen follows toos!" His tail wagged excitedly behind as he pointed to the reindeer. Being pointed out caused Blitzen to nudge Izaak's finger with his nose.

Izaak wasn't really trying to be rude but Kaena was the only one that he knew here and that he had met before. Plus she had been the one to make the call. And being who he was Izaak had easily forgotten about everyone else seeing as he currently only had eyes for the elder female. But then again the prospect of family had always excited Izaak. He had clung to his father and uncle the same way when seeing them. And in the case of his brother/cousin, he had sat on that male's lap among other things. So yes, family easily stole his attention away from everyone else.

Phew, a bit longer than I thought it'd be. I hope it's okay for me to reply now; if not I can take this out and add it back in later, with extras. Lol. WC: 967

Kesho Maisha

Kesho had travelled alongside Kaena for quite some time, listening to her recount some stories of Inferni's recent past. It was obvious to him that things had changed around here, but it seemed the important things remained-- the clan's objectives and standards. At least, he hoped they did. "Kaena, if the clan is at all still like the way I knew it, at its core, I will embrace it." He eyed her for a moment, then added, "I have enough faith in you to believe that it would be so." Giving her a small smile, he continued ahead, paralleling her footsteps to her right, but still slightly behind. They reached the beach in swift time, the cool, salty breeze whipping through his fur, tousling it into a strangely workable 'do. He watched the femme, always with slight admiration, as she trotted towards the coastline. For a moment, he thought he saw upon her face an urge to jump in. Pretending he didn't see, he turned his head, grinning slightly to himself. It was good to know he wasn't the only one who loved playing in the salty shore. Maybe, but you're the only one stupid enough to do it. You don't even care about how it looks, you imbecile... A voice inside of him growled and he suppressed the urge to return the favor, allowing his mind to be closed once again. Soon, this would become harder to do. Now, though, his resolve was strong and his mind absolutely needed to be kept clear.

The ocherine male listened in silence as Kaena let out her call; a soft, elegant howl that was more of a suggestion than anything else. Kesho bowed his head in reverie, remembering similar moments from many ages since. They had once stood on a beach very similar to this, gathering forces, creating an alliance to be reckoned with. He truly hoped that it was still such, but held extreme faith in Kaena's judgment and ability to enforce. Kesho's ears swerved around, picking up each and every sound around him. It wasn't long before a form emerged from the brush. This large, intimidating male was very clearly high ranking. It was with some shock that Kesho observed him, a canine which appeared strangely wolf-like. A wolf?! They're letting a wolf run this clan?! Oh, no, Kesho. You cannot let that stand...do something!, the voice in his head snarled with an intense rage. It was almost painful to hold this back, and unwillingly a slight wince crossed the male's features. They can run this clan how they see fit! He's not all wolf, that's clear. I'm sure he's...more than capable. It matters not what else is in him, he has wolf blood coursing through he veins. He must be done away with! Kesho became outwardly annoyed and paused for a moment, turning away from the other two in order to collect himself. Get the fuck away from here. You know nothing of this situation. His finality, he hoped, would end this inward battle temporarily. He turned back, apologetically, and inclined his head towards the hulking male ahead of him, tail wagging slightly. Glancing up at his new leader, he noticed his scars and oddly dark fur, regarding it with mere interest outwardly, while inwardly wondering how this male came to be. There was something hauntingly similar between he and Kaena. Something he would have to determine for sure later. This male, it was clear to Kesho, was none to be reckoned with, and despite his questionable heritage was without a doubt a powerful leader. He would easily overpower Kesho himself without a second thought. For now, the rust-colored 'yote uttered nothing but, "I am honored to meet you, sire. The name's Kesho." His pleasure was genuine, not to be betrayed by the doubt cornered off and sectioned somewhere in his mind. It took constant reminding to convince himself to remember that Kaena herself wasn't a completely purebred coyote.

Soon another figure appeared out of the nearby foliage, this one even darker than the leader's, but female, and much smaller in stature. This canine appeared quite young, and seemed very excited to greet Kaena. Kesho nodded a greeting towards her and gave a smile. He recognized her as a hybrid animal as well, but couldn't determine the origin off her odd markings and body shape. Young though she was, she appeared lithe, spirited and spry. More hybrids in this pack? Tch, what has it come to. You don't deserve this betrayal, Kesho., came more inner growls which would be promptly ignored by the bronzed coy.

It was interesting to him how quickly they appeared. Soon after the second strange-looking dog came into the picture, another, even younger looking one bounding towards the group. This one appeared to be more like a coyote than any of the others, save himself. He was shocked to see this young canine ecstatically embrace Kaena, something which he was quite sure she disliked. Immediately this shock was displaced by the notice of a small white creature trotting along with the young lupine which had just appeared. What is that...And why is it following him?, he thought, glancing back and forth, confused, from the white creature to the little hybrid. Surely this was a joke, or some sort of intricate ruse? No matter, though, Kesho tossed aside these odd aspects of this quirky union, replacing upon his visage a look of intense contentment. After all, he did like children; he was quite childish himself sometimes, and maybe being around them would give him an even greater sense of renewed vigor. "Hello, you two. Good to meet you; I'm Kesho...", he voiced solemnly. He waited now, patiently and with a smile, to see if any others would arrive to answer Kaena's resounding call.

Haha, I'm a shadowposter! :3 (325)

Clover had settled quietly into the clan, going about her days almost as she had when she was alone along Drifter Bay. Most of her things had been collected now, and she had stored them away into a room of the mansion. However, Clover was reconsidering moving to the caves where Kaena had brought her upon her arrival to the clan. Though the mansion was somehow malevolently beautiful, Clover worried that her small garden might be tampered with and didn’t find the atmosphere to be the same as Juniper Peace. Yes, she was surrounded by more canines now, but this was nothing like what she was used to. A joint smoldering between her teeth (another tucked into her headband), Clover ventured again to the caves, hoping to scope out the area to find the pristine spot for both her garden and her belongings.

The call was from her grandmother, she instantly realized. Her steps strayed from their intended path and directed towards the beach. Whatever it was that Kaena wanted from her clan, Clover was eager to see. Besides her father and grandmother, Clover had yet to really socialize with anyone else; she was curious to know the purpose, but also to see the faces. When she finally came upon the small gathered group, the young coyote beamed a smile at them all. Since her departure, this was the closest she had gotten to being reminded of Juniper Peace. "Lovely grandmother," was her sole greeting, smoke billowing from between parted teeth as she spoke. Straw eyes studied the others gathered there, but she merely smiled and nodded her head in greeting; though she was definitely a talker and could easily feel comfortable conversing with everyone there, the chemicals had worked to calm her demeanor and Clover didn’t want to embarrass Kaena by somehow stepping out of line at a meeting. After all, it would take some time getting used to living in such a place.

Heidi enters....

ooc text: oh hai dere. Smile here comes the Heidi Tongue Loves to Sie for table usagee! 8D<3 WC: 528

Silent paw steps padded through the grass unheard. The pale one was practicing her lupus form’s stealth in the long wispy grass that had changed to a frail yellow hue within the change of seasons, and her hunting technique would need to be perfected upcoming to the future winter months. It was starting to feel colder, the first wave of winter coat had already started to break through on the woman’s pelt. Viridian orbs focused intensely on her target; a small rabbit profoundly knawing on a wilting clover, completely unaware of her menacing demeanour. Long ears pinned back ruthlessly upon the lady’s tussled mane, every step forward took care and caution not to spook Thumper, feeling the parched, rough ground before placing her weight upon it.

She was close now, the rush to charge forward was strong; but she stopped herself, clenching her canines together. Her muscles tightened, coiled; her haunches lowered ready to bolt. Her upper lip rolled back, revealing her long wolf-like daggers, edging to sink into flesh. As she readied her position, a soft call whispered along a breeze carrying a small number of scents steadily towards her. At first she resisted the urge to call quits and follow the sound, but when the familiar scent reached her snout, although it was smothered amongst others, her mind was set. Kaena was near, and since she’d first stepped onto Inferni grounds just over two months ago, it was she who had welcomed her into the pack. She’d had a burning twitch to meet her again and perhaps get to know her in more depth, she didn’t really explain herself very well the first time around. Swinging round on her hinds she powered off in the direction of the scents, lengthening her stride to cover larger masses of earth. ”Screw the rabbit, I’ll get Thumper later” she chuckled coldly.

After a short span, her eyes laid upon a sanded beach. The numbers were greater than she predicted, with around six individuals, none of which were familiar to herself; except Kaena and Izaak; standing with a bizarrely albino coloured deer, of which she had only viewed twice before. Morally deciding she would rather have her presence known in Optime form rather than lupus she bolted forward, gaining momentum springing up and over the sheaths of vegetation, preparing to morph. Making sure she was in sight range of the group, she powered upwards off her haunches and morphed mid-air. Long wavy curls spilled out of her mane twisting down the vixen’s back, her form lengthening and changing into her beautiful Optime state , her hands reached for the floor, clasping, and springing her off into a triple aerial hand-spring sequence, ascending further with each bounce, and gaining a finishing back flip twirl. Her feet met the ground she graced the sand in a crouched position, raising slowly, and proceeding towards the group.

She felt the need to introduce herself as she approached, yet the lady bit her tongue, she didn’t know any names of the others here apart from two. Instead she placed a warm expression upon her muzzle and bowed her fine head slightly; joining the group meeting.

Sascha was in his room, quietly reading a book. He was always quiet. He couldn't talk. The only noise he would make was him blowing raspberries. Soon, he became bored of the book and decided to take a break from it. He rose from sitting Indian style on the floor and placed the book on the table by his bed. He stuck his tongue out and started blowing raspberries as he moved to the window. He opened it to let the breeze come in. He debated in going out as he stared out. Though, he hesitated. Going out would mean interacting with others. He heard the sudden call from a female. It was a familiar voice. It was the female he met when he first came to the Inferni. He debated in going. It didn't sound like a demand or anything. His working ear pivoted when he heard movement from next door followed by the sound of running feet. It was fading so he opened his door to see who it was. He was not surprised to see that it was Zak when he was leaving the building. He was probably headed for the call.

He figured since his brother/cousin was going, perhaps it wouldn't be so bad if he went too. He gathered his belongings; books, a quill and ink, and his club that he always carried with him. With his tools for communicating in a bag and the club strapped to his back, he stepped out and closed the door. He left it unlocked, finding no reason to lock it when he wasn't there. He walked to the place where the call was made. It wasn't a leisure walk. He didn't want to be late to the point he would be interrupting. That would mean many eyes would be placed on him. Plus, that would be rude. That was what he would think. He wanted to avoid all of that. Since Zak had a better head start, he showed up long before him. It wasn't long before he would show up to find Izaak hugging the same who made the call. Kaena was it? He was sure that was her name. He remembered Cotl informing him of her name. His stance became even less confident than it was before, his stubby tail tucking between his leg (what little tail he had left). With his face in a scowl, he locked onto his brother. He wondered why he was clinging onto the female like he was. Though, that wasn't the reason he was scowling. He always scowled but it was mainly because he was surrounded by others he was unfamiliar with. It made him want to stand behind something. He wanted to hide. He stood in the back, feeling awkward. He grabbed his own arm, right at the elbow, as it wrapped around his abdomen. He wondered if his brother/cousin would see him. He remained quiet as he stared at his brother and his companion, keeping his eyes from wandering. He felt like eyes were on him but he didn't want to see if they were or not. He couldn't help but start blowing raspberries.

Crap post is crap. Sad [301 words]

The time for being a recluse was over, at least mostly. After months of being remote and keeping mostly to herself, Corona felt the inkling pull to rejoin what made up their little society. Inferni had bolstered and faded in those last few months, but with winter fast approaching she knew that those numbers would mostly stay the same. At least for the majority of their kind she felt that they weren’t really the types to be roaming around when there were feet of snow and ice on the ground.

So when Kaena’s howl had split the silence of the late autumn day, Corona for once willingly came. She felt a certain apprehension build up in her that hadn’t been there since she was a child — it was strange to be seen so easily when she had done so well to play keep away. Nearing the caves quietly, her cobalt blue eyes scanned those who had gathered there. There were those she had seen distantly in passing, but names she didn’t know, and then there were those that were completely unfamiliar to her altogether. The only ones she recognised were her mother and her brother.

After a few moments of watching the congregation get acquainted with each other, she decided to come closer, venturing in curiosity as she noted the fellow who was standing with her mother. There was a sense of camaraderie between them, but she had never seen the fellow before; he was too new from the looks of things. With a bob of her golden-haired head to the others, she threw out a straight to the point question. “What’s the occasion?” Little did Corona knew the significance of the time of year they were coming together, but she was soon to learn.

Big Grin

The waves were alive. Pushing and pulling, bubbling and humming. Small fish darted amongst the mixture of water and sand, teeny shadows in a lovely blue world. The ocean tugged on Amos' tail, ever so gently. It reminded him of Less, of her gentle caresses and bubbly giggles. But, that was so long ago. Those memories were yellowing, fraying at the edges. Details were slowly being lost, all thanks to age.

Amos' eyes were closed, his werewolf paws placed palm down upon the rock he was sitting on. His feet were submerged in the pool, and had been for awhile. It had been an easy hour that Amos had spent relaxing by the waters. It wasn't like the old wolf had something better to do- he'd already caught himself a young turkey earlier that day.

Cassius had been busy, and with hunting done, there was no better thing to do then to go sit by the ocean. The only negative factor was that Amos had forgotten his cigarettes. It was too far for the old wolf to walk back simply to get them, so today he lasted without them.

Kaena's call, he hadn't been expecting. It whistled past him, suggesting, not demanding, his presence. Once again, he hadn't anything better to do, so Amos slowly got to his paws. His back was full of creaks, but a quick stretch relieved most of the tension in his old body. Smiling curiously, the old coyote turned and slushed to the shore. The walk wasn't too long, but Amos wasn't fast. Besides, the call hadn't been one that bid the listener to hurry.

When he arrived, there were plenty of wolves already gathered. Amos recognized not a soul minus Kaena, but that didn't stop him from smiling grandly. What ah pack! What ah gatha'in! There were wolves of all shapes and sizes, strengths and ages. "Darn tooting." Hummed the old wolf to himself, as he padded over to the edges of the gathered wolves. It was an impressive gathering of faces, that was sure.

The call was unexpected, but it did not come with urgency and therefore did not require attention. Still, the fact that his mother was summoning not just him meant she had something planned. Gabriel rose with a grunt from where he had been napping, his sleep like that of a wolf, short and occurring every few hours. As he spotted the aging woman, he too noticed the stranger with her. Kaena seemed to know him, so Gabriel was unconcerned as he approached.

Not long after his arrival came Sepirah, who was just as he recalled her—eager. Young, but eager. She spoke to his mother first, then Gabriel, and the Aquila shook his head at her question. This meeting was not his doing. The next arrival startled him; it was if a tiny version of Cotl (with less tattoos) appeared and rushed towards Kaena. Gabriel’s ears rose high and he looked to his mother guessingly, more so as a deer trotted up behind him. Instinct told Gabriel that the thing was food, and he couldn’t help but let his gaze wander to it as such. Maybe they could eat the stupid thing in lieu of a hunt.

The elder coyote did not greet Gabriel, but the eyes that stung against his fur told him what he was being seen as. Wolf. He held his tongue, even as this gaze burnt into his flesh. A girl who was clearly Razekiel’s spawn arrived next, followed by a white hybrid he did not know, another of the Ulrich clan, and to his great surprise, his sister. Gabriel hadn’t seen much of Corona in months now. Though there was no overexcited reaction, he moved to her side almost instantly, a single wag of his dark tail accompanied by a nudge with his nose. This was the Gabriel equivalent to throwing himself at her, though he settled onto his haunches not long after. An older man joined the group, and Gabriel recognized suddenly just how many of his clan were now reaching the twilight of their years.

He did not speak, but remained next to Corona, looking to his mother for an explanation.

Word Count :: 501 Buttpost but I have made everyone wait long enough. .___.

The silver-shaded coyote was glad to see the rest of the clan begin to trickle in. The first to arrive was Sepirah, who was greeted warmly by the scarred Centurion. “Sure, glad to have you. I'll explain when everyone else gets here,” she said, tossing her nose to indicate the sable-shaded woman ought to come closer. They were family, after all, and the sable woman's place was with Kaena, or so the one-eyed woman figured. She was not Sepirah's mother, but Samael had delivered his children to her, sort of—he did not seem to care about them or anything else that happened to spring from his loins, and so the grandmother was obligated to care for them. Not that she minded, anyway.

The strange youth she had met in the center of the territory, Izaak, seemed to be dead set on his opinion—they were related. The Centurion did not quite know how to react to this, but she did not quite mind it, either. Though she knew plainly she shared no blood with this one, no amount of convincing could turn Izaak's mind otherwise. “Just trying to call everyone together,” she said, accepting the hug with little awkwardness. Her yellow-golden eye turned to the strange creature that tagged along with him constantly. It resembled a deer, but it was pale white in color, and differed in other ways. She had not asked about it, and now did not seem the time.

As the rest of the clan filtered in slowly, the grizzled woman stole glances at Kesho, wondering what his reaction would be to this new and different clan. It was not hers anymore, and it had ceased to be years before, yet it still accepted and revered her in some instances. The scarred woman was certain her old esteemed colleague could find similar contentment with the old guard. Clover was next to arrive, and the scarred woman smiled warmly at her granddaughter, her head inclining just a bit to display faint humility at the compliment. Following her was Heidi, whom Kaena watched with her single eye and offered an encouraging smile when she thought Heidi was looking at her, trying to make the newer member of the clan comfortable.

When the others had filtered in, the hybrid woman turned toward them. “Thanks for showing up,” she said, somewhat awkwardly. The scarred hybrid had never been too good at addressing crowds, and as this was out of the ordinary, the coyote woman did not quite know what to say. “Today, somebody from the start of the first Inferni showed up, however unbelievable that might be...” the coyote said, twisting her head toward Kesho. “I thought maybe it would be a good idea for us to recount what it was like on that beach there, that night. And... maybe someone who was here for the fire could tell how it was to reform?” the hybrid added, turning toward Gabriel or Corona, uncertain as to which might be able to volunteer.

Sepirah was go glad to be the first one to whatever it was that was going on. It gave her the chance to spend a little time with her grandmother before the rest of the pack began to tickle in. The dark princess was glad that her grandmother was in such a good mood and wanted her grand daughter to come closer. She moved closer to Kaena and took a spot right next to her. The jackal was so excited to find out what this meeting was about. The black female looked to her grandmother with pride. Kaena felt more like a mother to her more than a leader or even her grandmother. If anything she wanted to spend more time with her so that they could strengthen their bond. The girl turned her attention back forward and wagged her tail. Her excitement was only growing with wonder on what this was about.

The next pack member surprised her the most. She watched the male come in and run to her grandmother, hugging him. Sepirah couldn’t help but let out a chuckle at the sight. The dark princess thought it was cute that this male thought of her grandmother as his sister. Kaena was a kind coyote and this just proved how special she was to the pack. ”I see you’re quite popular grandmother.” She couldn’t help but joke at the sight she was seeing. The jackal was not really the ‘jester’ of the pack, but she felt the need to be a bit witty whenever she could. Her golden eyes caught onto the animal following behind him. It was a deer that was as pale as snow. She had never seen anything like it before. For the moment she thought that this animal was a treat for the meeting until she heard that the male addressed it with a name. This creature was his pet and it didn’t seem to mind following a coyote around. She shook her head gently before turning her attention elsewhere.

Another male strolled on in, this one seeming to look more like a typical coyote as far as his colors go, though his eyes were not what she liked. They were red just like the rude female she had met before. She hoped to whatever higher being there was that this male was not related to her. As she continued to watch the male’s actions, she could see the slight look of disgust in her face when he turned to look at Gabriel. What was wrong with her uncle? He was a strong leader and a great fighter. A closer look and she realized it might be his looks. The dark princess had to admit that her uncle did look like a wolf, but she still had the Inferni coyote blood that he got from his parents. The jackal saw the look once more when he turned to her. The dark woman didn’t like how this male was treating the other members of the pack and certainly did not like how he was treating her uncle. She bared her teeth and gave a low growl before nodding her head to his greeting. She would not tolerate any disrespect to her leaders.

The next member to come in was a tan female with chocolate ears as well as an orange red muzzle, just like her except for the female’s reached to her eyes and around them. She was so lovely and considering the muzzle, she was sure that this was another family member. Her thoughts were answered when the female addressed Kaena as her grandmother. Wanting to make her a bit more comfortable, the jackal moved over a bit and offered her the spot she had next to Kaena. She smiled and decided to greet her. ”Welcome miss. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

Speirah was actually a bit surprised to see that so many pack members rushed to her grandmother’s call. The next one to enter was a white female. What an odd site to see. The dark princess didn’t even know there was such a thing as a white coyote. There must have been some arctic wolf in her seeing as she was not an albino. This female also had black tips on her ears and it seemed like some shades of light gray on her body as well. She seemed like a nice female and someone she could get along well with. The dark female offered her a smile as she continued to wag her tail.

The chain of females enter had been broken with the arrival of the orange male with what looked like spiky black hair. He had a white underbelly and there were those red eyes again. It seemed like a lot of the Inferni pack had red eyes like that female, although this male seemed more related to the male that was hugging her grandmother rather than her half sister. She noticed that he was a bit more on the quiet side seeing as he didn’t say much. The jackal wondered if her was perhaps nervous about something. It wouldn’t be surprising seeing as there were a lot of members already here and surely more to come.

The next member had more or a gold hue and bright blue eyes. She didn’t seem to be like anyone else here except again for the male hugging her grandmother. They both seemed to be golden in color. There was also a gray male with purple eyes and wearing an interesting white hat. The dark princess didn’t know these two and wondered who they were. Perhaps the gray one was family seeing as he looked similar to Kaena. Either way, they both seemed nice and it would be a good chance to get to know some more members of the pack.

It seemed that was the last of the arriving members seeing as Kaena began to speak once again. Sepirah’s golden eyes locked on her grandmother as she spoke. She spoke about a returning member and followed her eyes to the disrespectful male. He was not making a good impression on himself then. Seeing as the dark princess was a proud member of this pack, she wanted to keep an eye on him and see what his problem was. The jackal noticed the that she was then moving her eyes the Gabriel and the golden coyote. It seems that the golden one was also an old member. Perhaps she would be better than the other one.

OOC here: Table & Coding © Jacoby; 513 words

Most everyone went ignored. It wasn't because he was trying to be rude per say. He just didn't have the attention span to keep track of everyone. And well, he didn't know most anyways. He grinned up at Kaena as she answered him. The given answer was good enough for him and he nodded his head. He figured that she would tell him the exact reason later and so he didn't bother to ask. He had learned that when his mother gave vague answers that it was best not to question further. If he did then it would land him in trouble. And well, he didn't want his sissy mad at him. Having family mad at you just wasn't fun.

Blitzen kept close to Izaak, it was clear the animal was nervous around all of the predators that were slowly trickling in but Izaak failed to notice this. Since he was comfortable in the company of all the others then he simply assumed that it was the same for everyone else as well. After all he didn't have the most mature mindset. He still assumed that things he liked and enjoyed that others were supposed to like and enjoy too. He hadn't exactly learned that everyone was allowed to have differences in opinion and still be able to get along with each other.

As the male next to his sissy spoke and gave his name Izaak glanced over in his direction. "Hallo Missur." He returned the greeting with an excited little wave. Izak wasn't used to the formalities of a meeting. He was only used to being around family and a single visitor of his mother. He wasn't used to a whole group of canines. So this was an entirely different setting for him and he was much too eager.

His attention shifted to a sound that came from the back. He didn't pay any attention to the females that had come before but raced over to his brother instead. "Bruder!" He cried out excitedly and threw his arms around his younger brother. Of course as Izaak move Blitzen followed. The reindeer seemed to prefer it better on the outskirts of the group where it was away from the center of attention. Izaak made to cling to Sascha, aiming to climb onto his brother's back and force the other to hold him. He eagerly attempted to nuzzle and lick at his sibling's face, showing just the amount of affection that he had for family.

When Kaena started to speak again he glanced back to her and listened to what she had to say. He didn't know anything of the trials that Inferni had went through. But then again he was still on the young side and hadn't been around for any of what was being talked about. But it seemed that is what his sissy had wanted them all around to discuss. That was fine by him, he liked stories. Not that he had ever been told too many of them. When he heard one it came from one of his mother's visitors.

Kesho sat silent while introductions and greetings were exchanged, taking in what names he could. It seemed to him that some of these canines were related to Kaena; an interesting point that he might investigate later. Who had sired them? It didn't matter, he knew, but still he was curious.

The dark, jackal-looking female who addressed Kaena as grandmother glared at him in a way he did not at all appreciate, and accompanied it with a low growl. Had she noticed his unpleasant regard for Gabriel, or was he just unwelcome to her on general principle, being unknown? Either way, he dismissed her aggression by raising an eyebrow curiously, an ear flicking briefly in her direction. Her opinion of him mattered little to him at the moment; he was focused on Kaena and his apparent new leader.

Although he certainly was uneasy about a wolf hybrid running the coyote clan he once adored, he reminded himself that Kaena was still a very prominent member, and a hybrid herself. He would trust her judgement, but remained wary of the hulking beast.

Kaena spoke next, and his head turned eagerly towards her, ears swerving in suit. She spoke briefly to her granddaughter--the one that had growled at him-- and he turned away. Several minutes of silence passed as a few more clan members added themselves to the queue, all waiting as silently as he for her to speak. And she did. His full attention turned to Kaena once again, and his tail wagged once. He was just happy to be there, despite his slightly ill reception. She explained why they were gathered, and it sent him back in time again.

He remembered that time, too; they'd been together on a much similar beach, not far from here. It seemed she expected a story from him, and he would certainly not deny her one. Crimson eyes peered around at the canines grouped here-- hybrids and purebreds alike, together. He was somewhat uneasy speaking in front of them, only knowing one face from the crowd. Nevertheless, he cleared his throat, though his voice still came out rough.

"It was on a coast very similar to this one that we'd come together. Most of us," he nodded respectively to Kaena; she was not counted among "most". "had no idea what we were doing then. We were a band of coyotes held together with nothing more than a word." He smiled, mostly to himself, as he remembered that day. "A word wasn't quite enough-- we were pretty unruly; caused a bit of trouble." another pause. He looked around, trying to judge his audience. He couldn't. "It was fun though." He grinned again almost boyishly, mischievously. Kesho wondered if he might still have some fun in him.

I laughed hard at my brother's response XD And that is dedication Bobbi Big Grin; 458 Words

Being surrounded by many others was nothing common in Sascha's life and because of his upbringing, he wasn't a confident individual. He almost always carried himself awkwardly and never looked braved around those he was unfamiliar with. If there were a tree or bolder, he would be hiding behind it at this moment. He might have not shown up if his brother didn't come but when he arrived he was already contemplating on leaving. However, he became curious about what he saw. His brother was clinging onto Kaena like he would him. He couldn't help but to tip his head in confusion as he stood in the back of the crowd. He wasn't about to put himself in the middle of the group to make him feel even more awkward. It wasn't long before he started to do what he always did which was to blow raspberries. His half tail was pressed against his bum as he grabbed his own arm. He didn't make himself comfortable and remained standing as he waited for things to began, whatever that may be.

It wasn't long before Zak took notice in the sound that he was making and red orbs traced Zak's movements as he ran to him. Zak wrapped his arms around him and Sascha didn't push him away because he found no reason to. He kept his common expression as he allowed Izaak to climb onto his back which made him have to hold his brother's weight. He held Zak's legs that were at his sides to hold him up as he received his loving kisses and nuzzling. He loved his brother despite things and though there was a time he feared him, he would continue to stay with him. Izaak must realize this since he allows him to do things like this. Sascha's actions had to be enough for his brother since he couldn't convey them orally.

By this time, Sas had already stopped blowing raspberries and eyed Blitzen who seemed to be attached to Zak. He found himself wondering how and why this happened. He found their relationship very interesting and weird at the same time. He pulled his attention from the albino creature to the Kaena who began to speak while continuing to support his brother's weight. He would only put him down when Zak wished to dismount. From what he was hearing from the leader, it sounded like this was a gathering for storytelling. He had become secretly interested as he looked to the other who took over in speaking. He did not recognize him at all and wondered about his identity. Nonetheless, he told a story of the past and it was then that Sascha realized they were learning the history of this pack.

How certainly things had changed. Gabriel listened to his clan and thought of those they had lost, the things they had gained, and saw the faces that were still so young and envied them. He eyed Kesho curiously, and the way his dark niece seemed so disapproving of him, but said nothing. Finally, when all had gone silent and his sister said nothing, Gabriel began to speak.

He spoke of old wars and the old beach, and recounted the way things had changed with Kaena’s disappearance. Gabriel further explained about the fire, and recounted his introduction to Anselm, Inferni’s survival, and the things that had made the clan strong then. Others picked up where he left off, and soon the story of the clan was made clear to all. The coyotes did not linger long together, breaking apart when their business was done. Behind them they left many tracks, echoing the many who had come before, and the man who would come after.
