Ghita had known her pups were due for only a few days now, but she knew that fact as well as she knew that there were three piercings in her ear and two in her lower lip. The huntress had stuck closer to the Manor than usual, haunting it like an unhappy ghost what with her limp and pronounced dislike for being cooped up. Most days she tried to make a circuit of the property surrounding the Manor at least once before returning to the large sanctuary, but she'd been behind on her activity for a day now.

Her stomach had grown exponentially, far bigger than her size with Sophia and Aro. It helped that Ghita had taken her Secui form for this pregnancy (Lupus felt too small and breakable compared to the Secui - it gave her added comfort), and her larger frame was constantly seen to whoever wandered around the house at this time. The morning itself started like any other morning of the late pregnancy - Ghita had woken up late, Jazper's impression on the bed barely there with only hints of his scent, and then wandered out the slightly ajar door in search of food. The rest of the day progressed in a similar manner - search for food, return to the bedroom to nap. Only when the nausea gripped her did the fae shuffle out the back door to relieve her upset stomach a few minutes away from the Manor.

It was dusk that turned all of that upside down. The sun had just disappeared from sight, as Ghita could see from where she lay on the porch, when a large spasm rocked her body and shot through her spine. Cringing in pain, the woman dug her ebony nails into the wood, waiting for the contraction to pass for the moment, before tentatively opening her turquoise eyes to the world once more, distrusting the lack of pain. Pulling herself to her shaky paws, Ghita moved inside the Manor to the all-too familiar living room, letting her body collapse onto the floor beneath her to ready herself for the second contraction.

She was more prepared for this pregnancy than she'd been with her first one, but that didn't mean that the fear had disappeared. Once she'd had the miscarriage, every litter thereafter was a source of worry that never died, save for the glimmer of hope that Sophia and Aro brought. She also knew the pain now, and knew what it would bring and so could prepare for it. Ghita could feel now the second wave of pain building, and opened her maw to hope for someone, anyone to bring her loved ones to her. Voice high with panic masked in excitement, one could detect the tremble in the pregnant fae's voice from hopefully a while away. "I... I think it's time....!"

OOC Sorry this wasn't up yesterday my internet and phone went down JUST as I copied my word document stuffs onto here -_- Phone line is still down. <3

Hanging around the manor bored Jazper but he had managed to keep his mind busy by hanging around in the library. Ghita had told him a few nights ago that she felt as though she was due soon. With that news Jazper automatically had spent the past days waiting anxiously for Ghita's call. At first he had tried, like the fool he was, to stay as physically close to his mate by hiding in the next room. However, Ghita had quickly scolded him and he now spent the hours reading, playing violin and piano, and transporting the odd weapon or nifty item from the military base.

On this particular day the Knight had spent the day concerned with Ghita's behavior. It was obvious that the pups would arrive any time now. He had silently listened to her constant movement in their bed upstairs, her steps every now and then that walked around the manor and back up to their room. When she left the building he had went upstairs to check only to see her walk to th forest and throw up what she had eaten that morning. The sickness worried the ebony male, was something going wrong with the pregnancy?

Now he sat silently reading, cuddled into a big comfy chair in corner of the the library. He was consumed by the green covered book in his hands. It was about the life cycle of humans. It was shocking for him to learn that they waited nine months for only one little child. He couldn't imagine waiting so long for only one child. It was less shocking to hear that some of these humans could carry two or more babies like wolves did. It was shortly after he learned this that his ears perked up and his heart began to race. Upon hearing the words from his mate he jumped to his feet, leaving the book thrown carelessly on the floor.

Hurrying around the corner to the living room, where he had herd the call, he looked to his mate laying on the floor with a sense of hopelessness. What if something went wrong? Even though they had been through this once before the concern clutched to his heart and brain. Rushing he grabbed a blanket from a near by couch and spread it out on the floor directly beside Ghita. “Here, lay on this.” His golden eyes looked at her with love and excitement hoping she would listen to him this time as the fur blanket would make her more comfortable and keep the pups from landing on a cold floor. With a smile he lifted his own muzzle into the air and let out a call to family and friends. He would need the assistance of some females to keep his mate calm. Lowering his head he hesitantly placed a hand on Ghita's side his imagination began to wander. How many? Boys or girls? Would any not survive? “I'm right here love.” He reassured in a gentle and clam voice, very misleading to his own emotions.

Aro knew his mom was about to give birth any day and figured after her birthing would be the best time to his special trip he'd been planning in his head. He wanted to get to know the lands and packs outside of this place, and perhaps discover himself. He'd found an old backpack around the manor and was utilizing it as a good handy thing to carry his favorite two books in; the dictionary and astronomy book. He also thought about taking some sort of pad or journal. It was during this time of thought he heard his mother's call. His ears perked with extreme intent as he looked out his bedroom door. His eyes looked back to his bed, and then placed the back pack beneath it sliding it far back. He didn't want to tell them yet, he wasn't sure how they would react knowing their son wanted to leave the pack land to explore, mainly it was his mom he was concerned with when it came to the reaction of what he was planning. It was when he heard his father's call that he finally realized it was as he heard. It was time for his mother to deliver the newest members of the family. Really he wasn't sure about having siblings....well more.

Taking in a deep breath he walked out of the bedroom shutting the door. He really wasn't sure what to expect when he went down the stairs to the living room. Would the pups just be there? Would his mother's stomach be down again? He knew the pups came from his mom, and he figured the pups were made from the union of both his mom and dad, but the finer details were lost to him. Still it was something he wasn't sure he wanted to be there for, but he knew he should be there. Coming into the living room he saw his mother and father side by side. It seemed his dad was comforting her. He was almost scared seeing her in pain and his eyes widened as it all sunk in. He began to panic, "Oh my world! Is--is mom okay!? Is...is she..." he didn't know what to say as he rushed to her side seeing her looking nearly buckled to him. He had never seen her in pain, she had always hid it from him and his sister. Seeing her like this caused fear and worry to go through him.

sorry for the delay guys <3 300+

Savina had spent most of the day patrolling the borders, making sure the pack was safe and secure. Usually Jazper was the one who took that job on his main duty, but she knew that he was anxious about the upcoming arrival of his second litter and she wanted to make sure he was able to stay close to the Manor and Ghita. Plus, ever since Kansas' and her unpleasant (that was a mild term for it) run in with the Inferni member, the Commander had been on high alert. It wasn't her fault, what had happened, the other woman had instigated everything. However, with such unscrupulous characters among the clan's ranks, she didn't trust them to not try and pull something on her pack in retaliation. With her sister so close to her time, she wasn't going to let any such disturbances happen to upset her.

Thankfully the day had been calm and uneventful aside from the arrival of a stranger who had been granted a home here just that very afternoon. Now the sable wolfess was making her way back towards the mansion. She was only a few yards away from the large house when Jazper's howl rang through the air and the woman didn't have to make any guesses as to what the cause of the call was. Savi was off like a shot to cover the remaining distance and within a minute she had burst into the house and spotted her sister, Jazper, and her nephew in the main sitting area.

The Italian fey joined the other members of her family, hearing the worried words coming from Aro's mouth. "Don't worry Aro, your mom is going to be fine. It's all just a part of the process," she reassured, nosing him gently. Her attention then focused upon her sister. "Are you doing alright? I'm sure Cambria will be here in a moment." Then, as if on cue, she heard a door open and rushing footsteps come out into the living area. Her emerald eyes alighted upon her daughter, her arms full of her medical supplies and towels. She set all of her things down near Ghita, ready to help as soon as she was needed. Cambi had done a wonderful job helping her own little siblings into the world, and she had no doubt she would do splendidly with these cousins as well.

Np! I was just waiting on Ehno, Anu, nieces/nephews, and Marcus, but Marcus is coming later & I dunno about the others. xP They can come along whenever I guess. Tongue

Wc: 700

It didn't take very long after her call for the fae to hear frantic paws scurrying from just around the corner. Her suspicions coming to light, the large ebony frame of her mate instantly calmed Ghita down, knowing that at least Jazper would help her to keep a more level head. The pair had been through one successful birth already - and Ghita hoped that the pattern would be repeated. Moving herself gingerly and delicately onto the blanket, the warmth instantly helped the laboring woman, who let her turquoise gaze meet the corresponding yellow one with a level of cautious excitement. Letting out a shaky sigh as Jazper summoned friends and family alike, she let her tongue rasp gently over Jazper's hand before nodding, telling her mate all she needed to without words. Would the birthing be difficult? Probably, just like the others. But would it be worth it? That was a question not even worth asking.

Through the breathing she tried to regulate and the slightly panicked movements her brute of a mate were making, Ghita didn't notice the tuxedoed frame of her son enter the room until he cried out. Turquoise orbs flicked up to meet her son's gaze and she gave him her best attempt at a reassuring smile, all the while praying that he wouldn't have to see the miracle of life in such a scarring way. “Don't you fret, Signore Aro. It's not too bad." Putting on a brave face for her son brought on a whole different level of difficulty for the fae, but the headstrong girl was more than up for the challenge. Offering a nuzzle in Aro's general direction, she gave him a wink before preparing for the oncoming contraction. “D'you think you're ready to meet your siblings?

Letting the contraction rock her small frame for the time being, her ebony front claws sought out some piece of solid wood - hopefully the floor beneath her - to steady and ground her away from the pain. It was now more than ever that she wished for something to clamp onto, to make sure that her expression and tension in her body were the only things that would give away any sort of pain to Aro. Around the more senior members of her family, Ghita's pride was the only thing keeping her from expressing pain normally, but when it came to birthing, all cards were out on the table. Savina had gone through two litters before, she would surely know how it felt. And the males... they surely would be able to tell from the behavior.

Thanking the heavens over and over again for her cool-minded sister, the ebony fae filled in words to Aro where the mother could not at the moment, feeling the contractions fade only for a moment, as the first pup was ready to come out. It was an odd sensation, knowing when the pups were ready as sure as one knew their location, but Ghita could feel them stirring, hoping to any Gods that anyone believed in that her pups would be delivered safely. Nodding to Savina, her panting became more pronounced as time went on, her voice breaking slightly as she informed the room as to her state. “I think... the first one's ready, Savi."

Her chocolate coloured niece arrived just on cue, causing another stream of thankfulness to run through the Marino fae's already occupied mind. "Grazie al cielo, Cambi. Il primo sta arrivando adesso." Taking a shaky breath in once more, the fae let it out in a panicky hissing noise, all the while pushing as hard as she could, knowing that every second counted. An eternity stretched by, or could it have been a minute, before the small, trembling, bloody frame of the first pup emerged from Ghita, slimy and bloody in all of it's newborn glory. It was a boy, that was for sure, but as for any other details, she left that to the wolf who caught her pup, watching it through a haze of relief and pain. Her load was lighter, that was for sure, but there was only a matter of time before the remaining pups would make their entrance to this world.

I’m soooo sorry about that mishap. D: Pixie’s keeping her distance.
500+

You normally wouldn’t find Pixie resting. She was an up-and-about sort of person who didn’t like to be sitting around while excitement went on. But her back was still sore from the tattoo she had gotten two days ago, and after coming back from hunting, she had found Magic laying the frost-covered grass in front of the manor. Being a horse, and a stallion at that, Magic was constantly standing, even to rest. But it seemed to be that kind of day, for both him and Pixie, and now the blue-gray wolf was resting against him with her cloak draped over her, serving its original purpose as a blanket. Her guitar rested in her lap, and her hat that she normally wore on sunny days was covering her eyes.

She was sleeping soundly when Ghita had her first contraction on the porch; if her eyes were open, Pixie would have clearly seen the older fae’s muscles spasm. Magic certainly did; never fully asleep, he raised his head in alarm as the heavily pregnant female cried out. Pixie felt him move, but didn’t stir, instead groaning and rolling over so that her back was facing the manor.

It wasn’t until Ghita had gone into the living room and several others had joined her that Magic finally stood up, causing Pixie’s head to hit the ground hard and wake her up. “Ouch,” she growled, reluctantly sitting up and rubbing the sore spot on her head. “That hurt like a mother…” She drifted off, not finished her curse as she heard the commotion inside the manor. Still irritable, but curious to see what was going on, she put her guitar, cloak, and hat next to the fence surrounding the manmade structure and walked towards the front door.

Quietly she slipped inside, her bare feet barely making any noise as she slowly walked down the hall towards the living room, where everyone seemed to be. She heard a voice speak in Italian, a language she did not know, but made her even more curious as to what was going on. Surprise overcame her when she walked through the door to find several wolves, including Savina, crowded around Ghita, who was in the process of giving birth to slimy bundle of fluid and guts. Pixie had never actually seen her own mother give birth to all those litters; Wildflower had only let Pixie’s older sisters anywhere near her when she was in labor. So the sight of a pup coming out of…that place…was a little startling for the young woman to see. But she quickly got over the initial shock and stood in awe at what she was witnessing.

When the newborn boy had completely entered the world, she herself entered the room and stood behind the others, whom she had a feeling were part of Ghita’s family, and therefore she shouldn’t intrude. Nevertheless, she couldn’t resist saying brightly, “Congratulations,” before sitting down on one of the couches and waiting to see if more pups would be arriving.

Kansas was wandering the territory of Crimson Dreams in search of food. Prey was plentiful throughout their lands, and surely one of his members had felled a deer or elk recently, but he wasn't hungry for such a large meal. He preferred to occupy these spare moments looking for a smaller snack of rabbit or goose. After wandering the forest for a few hours, he entered the orchard, his twitching nose level with the damp grass. He snuffed around for only a few moments before an urgent call consumed all of his attention. The Sadira looked toward the Manor, alarmed. For a second, he worried that something had gone terribly wrong, his stomach twisting with anxiety. Then, with a sigh of relief, he remembered that Ghita was great with pups and fit to burst at any moment.

Eager to be among the welcoming party of the new additions, he started across the orchard. Halfway to the Manor, a reddish pup sat munching a fallen apple. Kansas recognized him immediately. He had begun to teach the boy Oak and his brothers how to read, so he was familiar enough with the child to nuzzle him gently. "Hey, wanna come see Ghita's new puppies?" Oak's expression lit with excitement and he nodded vigorously. The two trotted the rest of the way to the manor, the pudgy boy hurrying to keep up with the long-legged Sadira. They climbed the porch and entered the manor, heading straight into the sitting room where a small portion of the pack had already gathered.

Oak wanted to rush into the fray immediately, but Kansas instructed him gently to stay beside him, wishing to spare him the rather disturbing sight of the actual birth. They were at the very back of the group, and Oak couldn't see above the bodies ahead. Kansas found Savina and Cambria beside Ghita and smiled to them, knowing that they would bring the little ones into the world without trouble. The first pup had already arrived into Cambria's hands, a beautiful mess of fur and dampness. Kansas felt a swell of happiness for the new parents, but was quiet while he awaited the rest of the litter.

Alder had wished to sit outside with her, to learn about the Sun and to know the cycles of the seasons. He wanted to know what made the trees change, the air grow colder and the first signs of winter come to their home. So the mother began to share the way of biology and the changing of the plants just as she had been taught. But the masked boy, who had grown exponentially over the past few months and almost reached her height, made her pause and questioned each notion of the birds or other animals. Where did they go?? Where did they sleep without a Manor and a fore to rest beside? Anu knew little of the migratory happenings of fowl, and she wished her could calm her son's curiosities.

But there was a change over the Manor, and the elder Dreamer could sense its happening before any howl or call that came to her ears. Blue eyes looked to the deep cerulean mirror that Alder held and she spoke in a whisper that they needed to hurry. The pair hurried along to find the crowd that had gathered to watch the birthing of the pack's pregnant member. Her heart skipped in her chest, the thought of another litter was always welcomed and she was excited for the parents. In silence she settled among the members of her pack, close to her Commander looked on with a quiet support.

A smile graced his lips as Ghita moved onto the blanket without any arguing. It was a rare day that the female listened to the warrior without a stubborn comment. He wished that he could help his mate more but in his heart he knew that this was a job for the Savina and Cambria. Sitting patiently on the floor, cross legged beside his mate he stared at the doorway telepathically willing someone, anyone, to appear. Quickly after he started staring anxiously Aro's large figure appeared, instantly causing Jazper to hop to his feet as soon as he heard his son being in distress. Savina's black figure got to the boy before he could, allowing him to take a moment to breath in relief. Stepping towards his son he hugged the boy gently, “It's fine. You're about to be a big brother.” A large grin now spread across the ebony males muzzle as he returned to his mates side, with Cambria, as soon as Ghita's warning reached his ears.

Trying his best to remain calm seemed like a hopeless cause for the Knight. Inside he was filled with a mass of swirling emotions as he watched Ghita in pain and listened to her panting become more and more rapid. He felt overwhelmed as more wolves began to gather in the room, particularly one wolfess who's scent he didn't recognize, which left him feeling rather on edge. Looking around he smiled at Kansas, thankful that he was there. It was always nice to have another male around in these moments, as he had learned from an early age of being in a pack full of new life. However, it would be amusing to see Aro's and Oaks expressions as they were birthing virgins at the time and it wasn't exactly the prettiest sight.

His attention averted back to Ghita's body as her voice grew shaky and he body began to wobble form the pressure of constant pushing. All at once a pup came into the world that hadn't been before and Jazper instantly shifted closer to Cambria, almost hovering in front of his niece in curiosity and excitement. A boy! His tail began to wag violently back and forth as is tongue hung out of his mouth is a massive goofy smile. It was a healthy, and rather large, bundle of chocolate brown fur with little black streaks mixing in here and there. The Knight fought the need to reach for his pup and allowed Cambria to do her job, knowing full well he would have his turn.

I didn't know we were waiting on me! Sorry! D: 300+

Savina had been there for the birth of every litter that had ever been born into Crimson Dreams and there was no way that she would be missing the births of her new nieces and nephews. It was especially important that she be there for Ghita. Her sister's first pregnancy had ended in tragedy and when she had first become pregnant here in Nova Scotia the woman had vowed to never let her sibling go through labor without her by her side. Her proud sister was not one to show weakness, but Savina could easily read the relief that was on her face at her appearance. The room was filling up quickly. A new member she knew only by name appeared, followed soon after by her mate, Anu, and two of the Lt. General's young sons. Silently Savina hoped that the little boys would be spared the sight of the actual birth; it was not particularly pleasant.

Ghita spoke, saying that she thought the first pup was coming, and all her attention trained immediately back upon the laboring mother. Savina touched her nose to the top of her sister's head, hoping to provide some small measure of reassurance and comfort through the difficulty that was bringing pups into the world. She knew the pain well, and had gone through two labors herself. Every scent and noise and gut feeling told her that all was proceeding as it should though. Her sister was doing everything perfectly and her daughter was there to provide all the assistance that she could.

Cambria didn't have much time to arrange her things before the first pup came through the birth canal. The bloody bundle was deposited on the floor and the Practitioner quickly scooped the newborn up in one of the soft towels that she had brought. She carefully rubbed the little bundle clean and made sure that its airways were clear of any obstructions. Once her newest little cousin had a good check over and was beginning to make soft noises, she handed it over to her uncle with a bright smile before turning back to her aunt, ready to care for the next pup.

No, it was actually me, lol. I'm sorry XP

Aro watched as one by one relatives and family friends came, it all baffled him. The women said it was all normal, this was normal. In that case he didn't want to know what abnormal was, this didn't look beautiful at all, it was actually quite scary. He could see there was pain on his mothers face, but everyone seemed to be reassuring it was okay. So, this is what it must have been like to have birthed him and his sister...As questions came at him about being a big brother he was quiet, for the first time in his life he had nothing to say, he was speechless. He sort of backed away keeping his distance as the females seemed to gather around, worry still on his face along with utter wonderment. "I..I think I'll wait outside.." He managed to mutter some as he backed out of the room. He hoped it wouldn't have been disrespectful of him, he just didn't feel comfortable. Something about his mother bleeding and 'pooping' out puppies just wasn't his cup of tea. He was happy for her, and his father but being a brother didn't seem all that exciting, not as exciting as they made it out to be. Of course he'd love his siblings, they were family but Aro was going through a me time and the thought of sharing things with a little runt just didn't seem that appealing at this point in time. Either way, he wanted to leave the room, there was too much commotion.

He went out onto the porch where the porch swing was, old and rusted chains held it somehow staying strong. He sat down in silence while he wondered what they'd look like, what they'd be called, and would there be any brothers? More sisters? He hoped he would have brother, at least. Having a sister wasn't much fun, not as fun as having a brother would be. What would he call him? What name would his parents give him? Let alone would this change the love his parents had for him? Yes Aro was a 'grown' boy now but still he had a right to be a little selfish about his parents' attention. His stomach felt a little upset as he had yet to tell them that he played on leaving tonight..maybe he could put it off till tomorrow? Yeah, he would leave Crimson tomorrow. Of course he wasn't leaving leaving, just wanted to explore, see what was all out there. Meet other pack leaders, other pack members. Life seemed to have a lot to offer and Aro hadn't seen the half of it.

Number two coming up! ^^

Wc: 579

As per every other birthing Ghita had gone through, her family (and extended family which stretched to cover Anu, Kansas, Oak, and Alder) had smelt the pain and commotion and hurried forward, each bringing gifts of support or medicine or appreciation for the new lives Ghita was ready to relinquish to the world. The flurry around the fae mixed with the pain in her own body was too much to handle, and so she ceased to focus on the voices and hooplah and remain within herself, the Italian fae knowing all too well that time was pressing in - and if the birthing took too long, it could put both the children and the mother at risk.

Her nose picked up on Pixie's presence, and although she hadn't met the fae before Ghita knew by her scent she was a Crimson Dreamer, and so held onto the rational side of her mind that told Ghita to let her newborn spring into the hands of her family, despite wanting to huddle it close to her and shut out the rest of the world. She had brought him here, and chancing a quick glance at her mate and niece told her that it was healthy. Another big, healthy pup for Jazper, Aro and Sophia - but the birthing wasn't over yet. “"A girl? Or boy?" She asked, keeping the panic from the pain away from her tone, turquoise eyes all for her new baby.

Sensing Kansas, Anu, Oak and Alder entering the room in a moment of relative calm for her, but the first most stressful moments of her new baby's life, Ghita offered a quick smile towards the younger of the companions, flicking her ears towards the older ones in gratitude. Quickly returning to her pup, his colouring was beginning to appear after the blood and fluid had been wiped away, and it didn't obviously belong to either parent - more of a collaboration of both. The brown was her's, and the white was Jazper's, a perfect combination of the two-

Her thinking was cut short by the next spasm that racked her body. Feeling the reassuring touch from her sister brought the fae strength - even the headstrong woman who no one could tell what to do sometimes needed a little boost of encouragement. Savina had brought six children into this world, and Ghita three so far, with more to come. The Marino mothers were united in that moment, before the pushing began. The pain and strain did nothing to override her son's statement, though, but a part of her was thankful that her pup was leaving, to shield his innocent eyes from the womanly wonder, but another part of the fae wanted her entire family beside her, perhaps selfishly, but all the same. She couldn't be distracted now - only a few more seconds before the next child exploded into the room.

The labor lasted longer this time than it had for her other pup, but through the relative silence despite her tension, whimpers of pain, and grunts, her second-born finally made it into the world. Covered in the same awful and yet protective fluid the older sibling had been, Ghita trusted the life of the puppy to Cambria once more, flicking her eyes up to her expectant mate. Giving him a slightly warped smile, unsure of whether to feel ecstatic or dread, her voice spoke quietly for him and the closer ones to hear.“"One more, Jazz. We're not done yet."

oh hay, sneaking Ehno in now. >.> wc:331

He wasn't sure what made him wander so deep into the Dreamer territory earlier that day. Ehno knew that his sister was expecting her second litter any day now, and the Marino man was determined not to miss being a part of the welcoming committee for his new nieces and nephews. He hadn't been around for the birth of Ghita and Jazper's previous litter, having been temporarily relocated to the Valley pack at the time to help care for his own newborn litter. He would not allow himself to miss it again, and had been lingering in and around the Manor for the last few days. And of course it would be his luck that the moment would come while he was out in the middle of a hunt.

Jazper's call had the Italian man halting abruptly in his tracks, head snapping toward the manor and all thoughts of his prey suddenly vanishing. Without a second thought Ehno hurried back toward the manor, mentally cursing the extra time it took him to circle around to the opposite side of the lake. Finally he reached the Dreamers' communal home and was surprised to find Aro out on the porch. He began to wonder that perhaps it had been a false alarm, or more worryingly that something might have gone wrong. The Marino didn't hesitate to find out, slipping into the manor without breaking pace.

He slowed only when he came within sight of the living room, finding it to be filled with friends and family. Ehno settled himself down off to one side, not wanting to disrupt. Amber eyes swept across the room to see all that had gathered. The sight of the wriggling newborn in his brother-in-laws hands brought a smile to his lips and banished any worried thoughts that had remained. And then, of course, there was the newest addition to their family, safely delivered and handled with expertise by their niece. He was late, but he hadn't missed it after all.

Okay, so Fia needs to be born. >_> I'm going to post in here (Savina gave me the okay), and any/everyone else can do a wrap-up post if they want to before it's closed. Thanks for stopping by! ^_^

Wc: 576

Her last pup seemed to be her most stubborn, and the few minutes ticked by silently before Ghita's body became ready to bring her next child to life. The fae did her best to keep from panicking, but she couldn't help but wonder if something was going wrong. What if the pup's two brothers had somehow ruined the last puppy's chances at life? What if Ghita was failing in her duty to bring all of her children into the world? What if she had to revisit that dark place she had inhabited after her past miscarriage? Even though her two boys were healthy and happy, Ghita knew that she would not be able to easily hang on if she had to revisit the trauma of another miscarriage.

But luckily, the scent of her brother arriving brought a reprieve to Ghita's panicked thoughts. Focusing on Ehno's arrival, a part of her remarked that she could only think of one birthing involving the Marinos where all three siblings had attended. Ghita had run out on Savina's first litter; Ghita's miscarriage had only been witnessed by Savina; Ghita's second attempt at a litter only had Savina as the Marino representative, and the birth of Ehno's children had been in faraway lands. Only Savina's second litter had been viewed by all siblings, and that birthing had turned out fine. Maybe because she was now surrounded by support, the last pup would find it within itself to reach life, she hoped.

Meeting Ehno's eyes, she gave a lopsided smile to him, her body aching with the effort of the birthing. She could only focus on the image of her brother for a moment, however, as her loins stirred once more with the last pup involved. Taking a deep breath, the woman pushed with all of her might, not needing Cambria to tell her anymore. With the intuition of a mother, she knew that time was of the essence, and so couldn't, no, wouldn't stop for nothing - not air, not pain, not voices of reason - until this last pup could be seen away from her, as a separate entity.

And then, finally, the pup arrived, along with a collection of blood and fluid enough to make a weaker wolf squeamish. Moving herself to lick the child's airway clean, the startling white pelt of Amata appeared, accented with ebony from Jazper. But it wasn't until she could hear the faint heartbeat of the baby, and then her first breath, before Ghita announced with pride, “"It's a girl." Grinning with delirium at this point, she held onto her daughter for an extra moment, tongue caressing the girl as she stared at Jazper, waiting for him to point the small bundles towards her stomach to take their first meal.

Taking a look around at everyone's happy faces, Ghita let out a sigh of relief and contentment, the pain already beginning to ebb slightly now that the panic was over. All three of her new children had entered this world alive - and apparently healthy - and that was all that Ghita could ask for. With rare tears in her eyes, she looked over her audience with the serene grace of a mother, thanking them silently one by one. After a moment of staring at them, Ghita returned her turquoise gaze to Jazper, nodding gently. “"Tony, Lorenzo, and Fia - the names we agreed on." She grinned, pointing with her nose to each pup in birth order.
