ooc: Thread prompt #1. For Hybrid if you're not too full on threads or have time but also open to anyone in Mudbloods. WC: 353 {3 points} Edit: This table better?

Sepirah spent most of her training days on the beach and continued to fight against her imaginary opponent. She always seemed to win, but that’s because her mind made sure she won. She wished that some of the other warriors would teach her some more tactics. She remembered her confrontation with Gabriel and learned to begin training in her lupus form as well as her optime form. For the moment she was still working on her optime form technique and would work on her lupus form later in the day. Since the day she traveled to Halifax, she had become accustomed to wearing the mask she found wherever she went. It was an easy way to pick her out from the new white jackal that came to Mudbloods.

Sepirah was taking a break from her training and took a seat on the shore. She could feel the cold waves brushing against her feet. The tips of her jeans were getting wet as well, but she didn’t mind. The dark princess looked to the sky as her tail wagged in the sand. It was about mid day when she finally decided to take her break. The jackal wiped her head as she adjusted her mask. The sun beamed on her dark body rekindled the fire of her spirit. Her ears moved as she listened to see if there was anyone else who wanted to join her. So far there was no hint of movement except for the movement of some nearby giant squid. Speaking of which, the jackal was getting rather hungry. She rose to her feet and began to shift her body back into her lupus form. Her mask remained on her face and she slipped her pants off as she changed. She crouched down and snuck around as she looked for some giant squid. She noticed a hare nearby having a meal of his own. The dark princess licked her lips as she stalked closer. She then pounced at the rabbit and chased it before she grabbed it by the ears. She was just playing with her food and she found it rather amusing.

302. Yep! Looks great! Thanks <3 Sorry for the hassle.

Hybrid was beginning to grow bored with his constant patrolling of Inferni. For all the time he spent hounding the borders, he rarely saw anyone, from the clan or otherwise. He supposed this was a good thing, since he really did not enjoy interacting with other members of Inferni, but he was beginning to feel like life had become stale and repetitive. With the conclusion of the Second Dahlian War, he again found himself without a cause. Haku was dead and their enemies were defeated — Hybrid had personally seen to that — and now that he had completely resumed his duties, he was finding that peacetime was rather boring. He had reflected on this many times, but that did not make it any easier. He very much disliked this awkward state of limbo he was in, without purpose or drive.

Therefore, he supposed today he could be considered unusually sociable. He noticed a sudden flash of movement and paused, waiting to see it again. A few moments later, he saw a streak of black as an Infernian moved through the sparsely-populated forest. The few trees that separated them were few, but just enough to obscure the figure of the other canine. Hybrid trotted closer, pausing as he approached. It was an unfamiliar, but not necessarily new scent. The member had been in Inferni for a few months, but he had not spoken with them yet. He decided to introduce himself as he moved closer. He wondered if this canine was some sort of coyote and wolf hybrid, given their black coat. It was rather peculiar.

He grunted once he was three metres away. He then added: "'M Hybrid." His voice came out cracked and gruff, as always, turning the "I'm" into a disjointed greeting. He had not spoken to anyone in some time.

Sepirah enjoyed toying with her food. She could see the hare struggling to get free, but she was not going to let it go. She walked around and forced the hare to walk with her and flung it around. The dark princess was having so much fun that she forgot this was going to soon be her meal. She was having too much fun actually playing with it. She tossed it in the air and caught it in her mouth a couple times before laughing and biting down on it. She could see the warm blood flowing out of the animal’s back. Her eyes narrowed in her amusement and fun before running around and continuing to toss it. She jumped up and caught it a couple more times before putting an end to its life. This was a good representation of the jackal’s fighting style. She wanted to torture her victims before bringing an end to their life. She smiled as she laid the now dead hare on the ground and began to have her meal.

Sepirah was disrupted by the grunt of the male coming towards her. She moved her head away from her kill and looked to the male who he addressed himself as Hybrid. She moved her head and nodded. ”Pleasure to meet you Hybrid. I’m Sepirah Lykoi.” She then turned back to her kill and picked it up before moving over to him. She placed the hare at his feet and looked into his blood filled gaze. ”Perhaps you’d like to share this meal with me Hybrid?” It was after a while that the jackal realized this was one of the warriors Gabriel spoke of. Her ears raised and the tip of her tail began to wag as she waited for the male to respond. This was perfect. She had run into one of the warriors and now she was a step closer to training with her uncle.

Hybrid rolled his eyes when he saw the girl begin to toy with her catch, flinging it around and throwing it in the air before catching it. Such behaviour was ridiculous and useless – even engaging in such a dishonourable display made Hybrid think she was an even lesser cretin than most females. And considering she looked nothing like a coyote, he wouldn’t be surprised if she was some motley mutt of many families. Hybrid had crafted a bit of knowledge for himself. While little had scientific basis, Hybrid was still unsure of the meaning of ‘scientific,’ so he wasn’t too bothered by it at all.

She introduced herself and Hybrid replied with a low rumbling sound, akin to a growl if it were with malice. However, it had none – it was simply a warning to her and a greeting all the same. He recoiled slightly when she offered the hare to him, the animal she’d toyed with so childishly before consuming it.

“No,” he replied coldly. “I kill to eat, not to play with it like some pup,” he added with a sneer. Maybe it was childish of him too, but he thought he was just being prideful. There was no way he would touch it after she'd flung it in the air like it was some toy. That was just ridiculous.

Sepirah couldn’t help but look over to the male as she was messing with her food. She noticed him roll his eyes to her and she narrowed her eyes to him in return. What had she done to deserve that? She was just having some fun like any member of the pack. Why did it seem like most of the pack members were more serious rather than just taking the time relax and enjoy themselves. Once she had killed her prey and turned her attention back to him, she let the blood drip freely from her mouth. It was a nice sight surely to anyone seeing as she was able to catch her own prey. She was again having second thoughts about the warriors who held a higher rank than she did. She shook her head before beginning her meal.

During the meal, Sepirah remembered that she had to request being trained by Hybrid by Gabriel before he would be the one to train her. If she was lucky, perhaps she could convince the male to teach her how to fight in her optime form and then her uncle could teach her to fight in her lupus form. The dark princess didn’t even want to bother with Halo seeing she was just a rude wannabe. The jackal raised her head from her meal and licked her lips. ”Well, anyways Hybrid I’m glad I found you. You’re the person I was looking for.” The dark female paused to make sure she had his attention. ”You see, I ran into Gabriel and I trained with him a bit. He told me I needed the approval from you before I could begin further training with him. Perhaps if you’re not too busy you wouldn’t mind us training together?” The dark female licked her lips once more before going back to her meal and finishing it off. She tossed the corpse aside and awaited to see if she had Hybrid’s approval.

Derp, Hybrid is SUCH an ass. :|

Hybrid didn’t know how else to make his dislike obvious. Just watching the female made his skin crawl with disgust. He knew he was not one for social niceties, manners, or any of those bothersome ‘rules’, but Hybrid liked to think he had a bit of foresight. For instance, don’t play with your food like a pup if you claim to be a warrior or want training advice. It made Hybrid even less keen to assist this female given her propensity to childish habits.

He narrowed his eyes and straightened up when she spoke, clearly demonstrating his dominance over her. Her tone angered him, as he did not enjoy how casually she spoke to him, especially given that this was their first meeting and she had yet to impress him. He flicked his ear, catching the sound the leftovers made when she tossed the animal aside. He sneered once more, uncertain of how else he might persuade this pest to leave him alone.

“I’m very busy,” he replied flatly. Clearly, being a judgmental asshole was an all-day occupation. “Come back when you’re a bit more mature,” he added. He gestured at the corpse of the mammal with a jerk of his head. He turned to one side and began to leave; annoyed the girl had wasted his precious time.

ooc: Sepirah is pissed.... FIGHT! WC: 382 {3 points}

Sepirah could see the hate and disgust looming in the male’s eyes. She hated to see that especially when she didn’t do anything wrong. She was still a young adult and enjoyed having some fun. If adulthood was going to be so boring and she would turn into someone like Hybrid, then she wanted to stay her current age forever. The dark princess snarled to the male as he jerked his head to her. He was just as rude, if not even ruder than Halo. What was wrong with the warriors of this pack? Neither of them deserved their positions and it would have to come down to her informing her uncle about their behavior. She wouldn’t stop growling though until the male answered her.

When he finally did answer her, Sepirah’s growls only increased. It was the warrior’s duty to train the lower ranks regardless if they wanted to or not. He obviously didn’t seem too busy and he didn’t even care enough about her to train her. Her growls turned to snarls and her fur began to lift up. She was not going to let him get away with this unjustice. The jackal planned to bring this up with Gabriel, but she wanted her own go at him first.

Sepirah noticed him beginning to leave and hissed as she spoke. “I’m plenty mature, you’re just too dull and rude to understand that I was having a little fun.” She paused to let the male sink this in, but she wasn’t done yet. “What the hell is wrong with the warriors of this pack? It’s your duty to teach the newer warriors whether you want to or not. Refusing to do so would be not doing your duty and just makes you a rude ass. I don’t even know why Gabriel let you be a higher level warrior. You’re rude and have no discipline. If I were the leader I’d make sure you learned your place and make sure you stay true to your duties.” The dark princess took the moment to catch her breath before grabbing the leftover carcass. She didn’t want it to rot, so she would have to bury it. The jackal found a nice spot and began to dig a hole for it.

Hybrid rolled his eyes when the girl tried to rebut his comments. Her whining made his fur stand on end and her petulant tone made him dislike her even more. No matter what, he would not train this stupid little girl. After all, it wasn't even his job anymore. He was the Tessarius now — the night guard. His sole duties were keeping Inferni protected when no one else would. While he was not the last line of defense, he was certainly not a dedicated warrior anymore. He no longer had the sort of responsibilities she thought he had. He would be able to finally be able to keep to himself and ignore everyone else who didn't matter.

His annoyance proportionality with her insolence. An ass? Had no discipline? Who the fuck was she kidding? Of any member of Inferni, he was perhaps the most disciplined: he lived by a strict set of rules and never compromised. He supposed this little worthless girl wouldn't ever know about having principles. He didn't think he could ever explain it to her in a way she'd understand. He doubted she could ever comprehend such abstract thought. The members of Inferni really were getting dumber.

When she extrapolated her thoughts if she were leader, Hybrid snapped.

“NEVER say that again. You are not leader; Gabriel is, and don't you FUCKING forget it,” he bellowed. He made a tight turn, casting a glance over his shoulder before moving quickly and launching an attack. His movements were clean and small and his attack was aimed to come from the bottom so he could immediately grab her throat and rip it out. Hybrid always fought to kill.

Sepirah was really in no mood to put up with Hybrid anymore. It was clear he was going to be reluctant to teach her just like Halo. At this rate she would never become a good defender of the pack. She may have to wait until one of the lower ranking warriors became a higher rank and would be willing to teacher her. There was also the option of her grandmother teaching her a bit. Considering the scars she possessed, she was sure Kaena got into plenty of fights. This seemed like a much better idea and she figured it would be better to go with this plan instead of trying to reason with the stubborn male before her. She was so sick of the warriors not being able to enjoy some fun. She shook her head as she turned her back to him.

Sepirah moved her ears up when she heard the outburst coming from Hybrid. This was just sad. The dark princess could see this male as a fine warrior in the future, but right now he was so weak that he was letting simple words get to him. She shook her head gently and then continued on her way. She knew if she said anything else then there might be a fight. As much as she wanted to rip the male’s vocals out, she was calm and wanted to avoid a fight, if that was even possible at this point.

The next thing Sepirah knew, Hybrid had turned around and attacked her. She figured this was going to happen. She noticed him moving under her and moved forward so he could not reach her throat. She then shifted her weight onto her back paws so that she could raise her back paws and try to slam them down on the male’s body. Either way if she was successful or not, the jackal would run to a distance and face her opponent. She wasn’t going to run. She would prove herself by standing and fighting.

Mentioned Sepirah's defense in passing only because Hybrid's attack kind of negates it. Depending on how she reacts to Hybrid's attack, I'll work with her attempt to push down on his shoulders in the next post! :3 (Just in case you were wondering)

Hybrid had not anticipated that the female would bare her belly at him. He allowed his momentum to carry him farther forward, keeping his body low to the ground. Although he had anticipated that he would stop a few feet shorter and lunge at her neck, he changed tactics, and instead bolted under the other canine to lunge and sink his teeth in to her stomach. He supposed that if she thought it was a good idea to rear up on her back legs and baring her belly at him, her most vulnerable and unprotected part of her body, perhaps she really did need lessons in fighting. He was surprised to think that it had been an entire year and that she had so little fighting expertise.

As he moved forward, he felt her weight shift as she tried to push down on his shoulders with his forelegs. He tried to continue his movement forward to oppose her downward push, with the intent of sinking his teeth into her belly and using that to push her onto her back and rip her innards out. How pleasant!

Sepirah couldn’t believe what was even going on. Did she really push these many buttons on his temper? Who knew it would be so easy to anger one of the higher ranking warriors. If it were so easy to anger them, then no wonder he was of a higher rank. Anger normally came with a rush increase of power and that was apparent here. The dark princess could see the anger beaming from his eyes and right at her as he continued with his attack. She had to make sure she was keeping up with his moves. One wrong one and she could end up with a serious wound. The jackal had no idea if the male would actually harm her that badly, but judging from his gaze, she was more than positive he would.

Sepirah was becoming more and more determined to prove to Hybrid that she had some control over herself, though the only she figured she would be able to do that would be to win this fight. He was already a skilled warrior so clearly he had the advantage over her, but she had a strong will and would make sure that she would come out on top. The dark princess tried to keep up with the male’s movement, which wasn’t too hard seeing as he seemed to be more interested in using his power rather than speed. It was a typical battle over the tactics of fighting. The jackal noticed he was going for her chest now that it was facing him. She had to make sure she could keep a good enough distance to where he couldn’t grab her and she would be able to make a counter attack. She cleverly attempted to use her back paws to walk backwards as she lifted her front paws up into the air. The dark girl figured that she would be able to keep back this was and it would prepare herself to knock him down by his shoulders. Once the moment was perfect, she shifted her weight to the front of her body and attempted to hold him down by his shoulders. She wondered if this display would help to show the hot headed male that she had the potential to become a great warrior in the future.

Sepirah kept her eyes glued on her opponent. She had to make sure she was reading his movements correctly or it would surely cost her. She was glad that so far neither of them had drawn any blood; although at the rate this fight was going, one of them was bound to be injured eventually. The dark princess could see the determination in the male’s blood red eyes. He seemed determined to show her that he was not one to be messed with. In return, she would do the best with her inexperience to deliver the same message. The jackal’s ears folded down as she bared her teeth. Now was the time to get serious. This was no longer training, though it never really was to begin with. Perhaps though if she was able to show the male her own determination and skill, he would be willing to teach her. The dark girl’s tail rose up in her aggression. She was not the submissive kind of jackal as she would fight to the end.

Sorry for the wait! :S And I hope I gave you enough to work with. ^^ (217)

As Sepirah retreated, Hybrid followed her and surged forward. Moving backwards was rarely a good idea, since your opponent could just follow you and force you back until you got tired or were against a tree. He supposed this just proved she really needed fighting lessons, since Hybrid had learned this lesson the hard way, too. Back and down were always bad options: don’t back up and don’t end up on your back.

Sepirah tried to push her weight down on Hybrid’s shoulders and flatten him, but he had followed her so far back, all the while trying to dig his teeth into her stomach, that her attack brought her directly on top of Hybrid rather than just distributing her weight to force him away. While it brought Hybrid to the ground, it was certainly not the most elegant manoeuvre. Though, he had to admit, it was effective!

With Sepirah coming crashing down on him, Hybrid knew he’d have to react fast. Once he felt her weight on him, he pushed off and tried to get his neck and head out of her reach as fast as possible. He pushed off with his forelegs and tried to squirm under her to bite at anything within reach – anything! – just something that would dissuade her from continuing her attack.

Sepirah couldn’t believe that she had actually fallen on top of the male. She was able to make a successful move on the more experienced warrior. She could feel a grin coming on her face as she looked over what she had caused. She could see herself just laying over the male and he was spread across the ground. She couldn’t believe how effective her attack had been; although, she knew she couldn’t hold this glorious moment for long. Soon she would soon have to keep up with his movements once more to make sure she didn’t get injured from him nasty bite. The dark princess would move fast once she noticed the male move his massive body and move his head away. Even though she was sure she wouldn’t be able to grab him, she tried to intimidate him by snapping and trying to grab his ear anyways. She paused and moved fast as she noticed him trying to get her off him. The dark girl could not move back away more, it would have been too obvious of a move and would not help her out in any way. She would have to think of something else to keep him away from her and her still being the one making effective moves.

Sepirah would work on getting herself off the male so that she would be able to protect herself and then work on making a counter attack. She worked to get off the male, but with the combination of herself and the male she was under, she couldn’t help but trip, exposing her stomach region. The dark princess quickly tried to roll over so that it was her back that was showing, but she only got so far to where she was laying on her back. This was the perfect moment for Hybrid to make his move and really do some damage to her, but she wondered if she would be able to use this to her advantage. The jackal would take the last of her moments beginning to curl up so that she would be ready once the male had made his move. She was sure of what he was going to do next seeing as he had an opportunity, but she waited and watched to see just what he was going to do.

Do you think we could end this in the next post or two? :3

Hybrid felt her retaliate and he tried to snap at her in return. However, his angle was poor so he was unable to get a really good shot in. If anything, he just hoped to wave her back with his snaps and bites. While she tried to intimidate him, he realized the only way he could get out of this was to intimidate her in return. He thrashed and moved and began to roll back and forth in an attempt to gain momentum. As he did this, he roared loudly, snarling and screaming with all his might. He hoped the sudden loud noise would scare her back and give him some breathing room.

As he tried to get out from under her, Sepirah tried to get off from on top of him. Neither of them was in a good position, and although she had pinned him to the ground, it didn’t give her much to work with. So, when he felt Sepirah’s weight shift, he immediately pushed himself away and out from under her. He skirted back around in time to see Sepirah rolling over, her belly exposed and in the process of rolling onto her feet to stand up. Hybrid took two bounding steps closer and ringed around her so that he would loom over her stomach and so that he could snake his head between her legs and bite her stomach and neck.

ooc: Perhaps we could end this in the next couple posts? WC: 328

Sepirah would not allow herself to be intimidated by this male. She might have been scared of his size and power but she would never allow herself to show it to an opponent. If she was going to be a great warrior one day, she could not allow her enemies to see or smell her fear. She had to be tough and fight no matter what. She knew there was not much she could do in her current position so she had to get off the male if she was going to be able to strike him again. She could feel his weight under her and her’s getting off, though much quicker than she expected. As she rolled away she knew the male was going to have the upper hand and there was not much she could do to stop him. She kept her eyes open the whole time so she could watch him and think of a counter move to use once she was back on her feet.

Sepirah growled to the male as he began to ring around her. If all he was going to do was circle around her then getting back up was going to be no trouble at all. She pressed her legs close to her chest to protect her stomach, though she knew this would leave her neck wide open. She had to roll around so that the male would only grab the back of her neck, not the vulnerable side. With a quick motion, the jackal rolled over, trying to get on her side or her belly as quick as she could. She was more than sure that the male would strike and she had no doubts that he would not miss her, but she had to make sure her vitals were protected. She growled to Hybrid as her eyes never left his placement and movement. She may have been smaller than him, but she was just as stubborn as him.

And done. Thanks for the thread!

Hybrid moved, struck, and felt his teeth dangerously close to her neck. He snapped at her neck, just the back of it now that she had turned over, hoping to grab a chunk of flesh or at least some fur. He paused and then stopped, taking his time to stand over her, breathing. He did not try to strike again, but quickly uttered a single word.

"Stop," he commanded. "I never want to see you again. Ever. Don't ever speak to me or look at me. You have betrayed Gabriel's trust and committed treason. Remember that I could have killed you, but left you for dead instead." He sneered and then moved back. He spat on the ground with a cough and a glare. As he backed up, he could still feel that sneer lingering on his battered maw. He knew he would probably look like a madman, but that was fine by him. At least he was saner than this annoying rugrat. He would be very happy if their paths never crossed again — and if she gave up her foolish dream of becoming a warrior. He shook his head and left with a nasty snarl on his lips.
