Blisteringly cold winds raced through the lands, tearing the mountains to pieces and ripping the lingering grass from its holdings without a care for what would happen. It was a cruel month and the dark wolf that paced these lands was well used to the cruelties life could throw at him. He had been alone for a long time now and he could take care of himself possibly better than any pack wolf he knew. Piercing blue eyes watched as a non-descript eagle circled above, swooping down twice and hovering above the sloped meadows that lead down from the mountains on which he stood. He liked the idea of the eagle, the raw power its sharp beak and talons represented, the swiftness of its wings when it swooped down to kill its giant squid. The young male could not hunt with such grace and beauty, and for that he envied the bird. He was much more to do with power than anything else, although he was stealthy and brutul in equal measures. Thick white collar ruffled up against large head and the male gave a soft huff from his vantage point on the mountains.

It had taken the young Stone weeks to cross the mountains on which he now stood. Scents of other's had reached him from the guarding giants that protected the lands of which he now gazed out of. Despite his general lack of social ability, these scents had intrigued the two year old and he had decided to cross the mountains and see for himself where such a large gathering of wolves were hiding out. Snow was now halfway down the mountains instead of just the peak and it had taken a week or two more than the male had expected to trek through them than he had anticipated. As such, he was feeling the effects of a limited food source and his envy of the eagle above him was proving to provoke his already on edge temper. He wanted to eat, but his white encased paws appeared to be frozen to the ground.

He was simple in looks, but this simplicity made him all the more beautiful. Midnight fur was the most prominant feature while four white paws stuck to the rock of the mountains he had just crossed. Upon his forehead was the thinnest of white lines, a strike on his head. Finally, the last remaining white mark was the tip of his tail, a snowy white tuft that he loathed with a passion. Large muscles adorned every spare patch of his body and the large male was proud of these for he had spent most of his life building himself up to be the warrior he was today. The only other distinguishing mark on his body, apart from the sparkling blue eyes that never failed to captivate, was the branded scar on his right shoulder. It was a symbol, for power and for the warrior. Despite his simplicity, he was a handsome male and he knew it.

He lifted a paw, almost feeling it becoming unstuck from the rocks he had rested for a while. With a deep breath his well toned body moved downward. Gravity pulled him and his muscles worked to keep a controlled pace down the mountain side. Blue eyes focussed on a rabbit that had decided to peek out from its burrow. His stomach revolted at having to eat such a low protein animal but it was the only other thing around. Before the clouds had rushed past the weak, almost non-existant sun, the rabbit dangled from his jaw. He shifted to eat the meal, deft hands pulling it apart eagerly before it was all consumed. He was no where near full, but he was less hungry than before, which was a plus.

Big Grin

There was only so much that she could do in one day; she had been traveling over the mountain for what felt like forever, and it finally looked as if she would see the end of it. The female was eager to make it back to the safety of the woods; here she felt far too exposed, despite her coat color. Her pelt was as bright as the snow itself, helping her to blend in, jade eyes peeking out of long tufts of white fur. A strong wind swept over the frozen landscape, sweeping snow up into the air and swirling it about. Each of her footsteps was soon filled in behind her, this area of the mountain being more snow-swept than some of the others.

Naniko had left her son behind with Selene for now as she trekked ahead, scouting the territory to be sure that it was safe for the others to pass through. An odd scent on the breeze had caught her attention and she was determined to follow through and see who it was before she would go back and tell Selene and Zale that it was alright to come through with the pups. The wolf was large, peaking the top height for most luperci, but size wasn't everything. She wasn't much of a fighter.

The scent was getting stronger and stronger, and she could soon make out a dark figure through the fog and snow. Aha! There they were. She approached slowly, clearing her throat as she neared. "H'lo there." She held up her hand, trying to show that she was a fr/iend and not a foe. "Thought I smelled someone else out here."

Life sustaining blood slid down his throat and for a moment he almost groaned when it hit his belly. He hadnt eaten for about two weeks and this measly rabbit was giving him back some life. It was frustrating that there were no deer in the area, or at least something larger than this. But he was grateful none the less. It didnt last long and eventually he resigned himself to knawing on the small bones until the cracked beneath the pressure of his teeth. He liked that sound even more than the blood that stained the snow around him, it was just a shame there was no scream to accompany it. Having been on his own for just over a year, Theodore Stone was well adept at killing things. Was it not his right to enjoy the screams they made? When they were scared or in pain. A wicked smile crept over his bloodied lips and he licked them eagerly, unwilling to let any of the life juice get away from him. He wasnt quite as desperate to lick up the snow that had collected the blood he had spilled, not yet anyway.

The snow had muffled the pawsteps of another but a change in the wind direction made the young male's head snap up. His muzzle crinkled to reveal reddened fangs before he properly analysed the scent and realised it was no male. Sparkling blue eyes took in ample breasts and pure white fur along with a slightly rounded belly. Either she was pregnant, or she had been pregnant recently and hadn't quite managed to return to her usual form. Which Teddy had no doubt was slim and would fit perfectly in his experianced hands. He took in green eyes and a wary look that should not have been there. Teddy was a friendly wolf to others of her predisposition, that was to say without a Y chromosome. The smile that slithered over his lips was one of charm and friendliness- he was not going to scare her away that easily with a full on seductive pout now! He noticed her outstretched hand and an over active imagination provided him with an image of her putting that hand else where. With a silent chuckle to himself, Teddy forced himself to concentrate on the task at hand- having a normal conversation.

"That you did... Smell someone I mean. I apologise- You were a little too late to share my catch. A shame. And what is a pretty little thing like you doing around these parts?"

Despite the fact that he was almost half her age, his deep voice and mannerisms made him seem older. He had tried to have a normal conversation but the compliment had slipped from his before he had time to sensor it. Not one to dwell on things too long. Standing he realised he was just taller than her. With dark pants on an a jacket pulled over his shoulder, Teddy attempted to keep himself warm whilst looking sexy and manly in the process. He had no idea whether his charms would work on her, but he could feel the attraction deep in his belly. This could turn out disastrous, who knew?

He's horrible XD hahahah.

There was only one weapon that she was trained to use, a dagger. The luperci had one in her bag at all times, and when she wore boots she would hide one in there as well. It was always good to be prepared. If she had worn any clothing at all on this day, she might have been able to hide more of them. Hmmm...what an idea. It would help her to feel less nervous, surely.

It felt like ages since the light female had been able to practice any of her arts; she had been working with poisons when back in the cult, and would have to start fresh in the spring when it finally rolled around. When she'd left she had only taken what she could carry, along with her son Scorpius. She hadn't brought anything that she felt was extra or unnecessary.

Her hand went behind her back as he spoke, still unsure of him, gripping the metal hilt of the dagger. She of course did not know that he was a warrior, and felt that the dagger might be of some protection. She'd brought a few vials of her latest batch of poison with her, and the tip of it had been dipped in the stuff.

Naniko pulled the dagger from its home in her bag, pointing it toward him and stepping forward swiftly. "If you care to live, you'll not call me that again." Her voice came as a low growl, green eyes narrowing and fur standing on end. "I haven't had the chance to test my latest batch of poison...at least, not on a wolf. I could use a guinea pig. I think that's what I'll call you. Piggy."

ooc;; He's adorable! >> <3

Clearly the pretty female in front of him did not enjoy the male attention. It was no matter to him, he liked the challenge and the chase of someone who rejected him. It just made it all the more enjoyable when they gave in. He had gone through this dance many times before and it never got old. So the smile remained placid on his face- he would not push her too hard, although once again an over active imagination wished that she would ask him to. Blue eyes threatened to widen softly as she slipped a dagger from behind her back. Maybe she wasn't so weak and vulnerable as he'd first thought. He never did mind a little rough foreplay if he were to be true to himself. Of course, having a dagger pointed at him was making him angry. He wouldnt get mad at a female, that was one of his fundamental morals.

"I thought you were a friend?"

He asked, that wicked smile returning to his lips. He seemed utterly unbothered about the fact that she had a poisoned dagger pointed at him. However, as she spoke once more, musing through using him as a guinea pig, Teddy's back bristled. How dare she called him such a derogitory term such as 'Piggy'. He felt his muzzle scrunch up into a silent snarl before he could stop it. To show he was not going to retaliate she planted his bum on the slope once again, leaning easily back on his hands and grinning up at her. He wasn't scared- he knew he would be able to over power her before that poison dagger got near his precious skin. It was more amusing than anything to have someone like her try to dominate him. Of course, he wouldnt mind being dominated by her in any other situation.

"So would you rather me call you ugly? It would be untrue, but as you wish, my lady!"

Silky smooth words were accompanied by that arrogent grin as he gazed up at her. He didnt know this female, didnt know if she was likely to lunge forward and stab him in the chest or give in to the fact that he wasn't afraid. Still, he kept his muscles tense while appearing to remain relaxed, a talent he had picked up when sparring with his brother. If he could look as though he wasnt ready for an attack, they were more likely to go for him. There was still something in the name 'Piggy' that was getting to him and Teddy didn't quite understand what it was. His male ego was something that was wildly out of control and a knock back like that didnt make sense to him. However, he did understand that his words had upset her in some way. With a dazzling look up at her emerald eyes, Teddy said sincerly;

"I apologise for offending you, gentle lady"

Honied words tried to diffuse the tension that appeared to be building in the older female. He honestly had no intention of making her mad, but he had to admit to himself that it was a turn on. Angry females meant angry sex, which was always fun.

Her growling face softened up a bit as he continued to speak. She hadn't liked what he had called her but would continue to speak with him, at least. Naniko didn't plan on trying to actually hurt him unless he came forward in a threatening or offensive manner, and he wasn't doing so. He seemed puzzled, something that almost made her laugh. She was waving a dagger in his face and he didn't seem the least bit scared of it.

His words might have melted other females and probably had in the past, but she was not like others. Naniko'd had a few consensual sexual relationships with males, but nothing that had actually stuck and become anything more than that. She refused to let any male get close to her after what she had been through. She had thought that she could do it when she and Ehno had been together, but that had ended as well. After that, she'd decided to give up for good. Males simply couldn't be trusted.

"Ugly will do, Piggy." She said, reaching to slip the dagger back into its hiding place. "You usually talk to females that way? And look at 'em like they're pieces of meat?" Naniko asked, crossing her arms. She was genuinely curious; she'd never been spoken to that way in her life. The white luperci rubbed at her mangled hand absently, feeling over the scars on her fingers.

Clearly the white woman had issues with being complimented, but Teddy would not let that throw him. Blue eyes watched as she appeared to think about the situation and the young man seemed to detect a little confusion at his utter lack of fear for the poisoned knife. He remained where he was, propped up on the slope with an easy smile on his face. It wasn't long before she slipped the knife back to its holder on her back and despite his relaxed attitude, Teddy secretly let out a sigh of relief. Much as he appeared unafraid, he really didnt fancy being poisoned by the witch. So when she put it away, his back muscles, that had previously been invisible to the lady, relaxed. The smile returned and black ears pricked forward to listen to what she had to say. A deep chuckle escaped him and he gave a gracious nod.

"Ugly it is then!"

He agreed, now deciding to swing his legs beneath him and sit cross legged on the slope in front of her. He wasnt too far below her, which was good for the fact that he didnt not want to be below her. But standing in his optime form always felt awkward to him so he sat instead. Her questions made him dip his head, although not through any shame or embarrassment. In all truths, Teddy would have liked to talk in a completely different manner to the lady, but she was as yet a stranger so he thought it best to keep his uncouth mouth clean. Tail flickering once across to the side, Teddy spoke once more with a crooked grin.

"Not all the time, Ugly. I can whisper for you, if you'd prefer. Or maybe I could get a little rough..."

He offered with a wicked grin and a cheeky twinkle in his eye. He was enjoying this meeting a little too much. Still, despite his flirting words he did wonder what she was doing all the way out here. He had already asked her what she was doing, but she had chosen not to answer it. Perhaps if he asked her a second time, with less compliments, he would get an answer.

"Anyway, you never answered my question, my dearest Ugly. What brings you to these chilly parts?"

Was his worded question, that same crooked smile returning. He did, despite belief, want the white woman to like him at least a little bit. He didnt fancy being completely rejected by her, at least then he knew he had a chance. So he waited like a nice little boy, sitting cross legged in front of his mistress.

He sat down and she was soon to follow, quickly adjusting to the mood of the conversation. If he was comfortable enough to sit down, then she was too. Naniko sat with her legs out in front of her, Teddy to one side. He gave agreed to the name of Ugly and she simply shook her head. Whatever it was, it was. She'd never had a nickname like that before, and she found it amusing. "No need for roughness. Can't you tell I'm a delicate creature?" She joked, clearing her throat. The air was cold, and her mouth fairly dry.

"I'm Naniko. But Ugly suits me just fine." She said. "I came to these lands with some family and a friend to try and start a new life. I was suspected of a crime in my old pack and wanted to escape before anything got too serious. Just looking to start over again with the same kind of ideals that we had back there. Just...with better, non-dead leadership." Their leaders had been poisoned, a fact that she didn't release to Teddy at this time.

Now that the awkward first few moments of their impromtu meeting was past and she no longer had a poisoned dagger poised to cut him, they seemed to be getting on better. Which was good, because Teddy was amused with this conversation. She spoke again and Teddy considered it for a moment. She was not delicate, but he wasn't going to argue with her any more than he already had. He didnt usually like to get on the wrong side of any female, and she had deomstrated one of the reason. They were lethal when scorned and considering the fact that this one could make poison, she was worse than most. So he shot her a dazzling grin and agreed with her.

"Most definately- fragile and delicate creature!"

He teased, voice deep and husky. She copied his move, sitting down with him which made him feel better. She could have left, but she chose to stay and talk to him. Black ears perked forward as she finally answered his question. It certainly wasnt the conventional answer he was expecting. Eyebrows rosed in a semi-shocked fashion and he gave a soft chuckle at her reason for being here. So she was a poison-making, angry convinct on the run from a murder charge. That made him feel loads better about this whole situation. But she was travelling with others and he assumed it was other females, as they almost always travelled together. He was interested before he had even figured this out, but the coy smile slipped over his lips before he could stop it.

"Its nice to meet you Naniko. My name is Theodore, but Teddy is fine. You say you're looking to start over? What do you mean by that? I've smelt a good few packs around here, if you were looking to join one."

Came his helpful answer, which was not like the male. He was usually arrogent and egotystical, but there was just something about the white woman that he respected. She hadnt been afraid to threaten him, which was unusual in girls. And he had to admit that it turned him on. But it was more than that- she seemed powerful in a weird kind of way. Someone worth protecting. So he stuck around to, interested in what she was going to say to him.

"Good to meet you, too. There aren't many you can trust these days...at least, not where I just came from. Maybe things are different here." It was another explanation for how she had acted. Naniko was normally a level-headed, even when she was doing drugs or drinking. "I've lived in these lands before, actually. This side of the mountain."

That was the reason that she didn't feel she could join one of these other packs. She wanted something different, something of her own. Nani didn't mind following the rules...but she wanted to be the one to make the rules this time. "I want to make a pack of my own. I have a bad history with the Crimson Dreams pack and have lived in Phoenix Valley here...but I was never happier than when I was on my own, with no one ruling over me. I want to make my own rules."

She wanted to be sure that her family would be safe, as well. "I promised my sister and son a new life over the mountain...but I also fear that the packs around here wouldn't be right for them either. I'm trying to think of some ranks for this pack, and hope to get a few creatures together tomorrow for a meeting about some more specifics." Naniko said. He was a loner, himself...why hadn't he joined any of the other packs yet?

ooc;; blerg, horrible post <3

She started speaking and for a moment Teddy realised just how vulnerable she seemed at the moment. She was a female on her own basically and she was probably in a new lands. Still, it wasnt really in Teddy's emotional repetoire to feel sympathy for the female- he usually just preyed on the weak and vulnerable. He could tell that she was a strong person, but she was also very unsure of everyone around her. He wondered why this was, but he didnt give it much thought. A smile slipped over his muzzle and he was tempted to reach out and hold her hand for the fun of it but he held back.

"Well, you can trust me. I wont cross you"

He reassurred here. He listened to her talking about making a pack and his interests were piqued. He was alone in this world, his brother hated him and he didnt even know if his family was alive or not. He didnt have any plans in this new lands and he hadnt even decided if he was staying yet. But maybe he would stick around and see what she had in mind for this pack. Perhaps he would help her make it, but a loyal member or something like that. And there would, of course, be girls in this pack of hers. That was perhaps one of the main reasons for consideration and he smiled softly to himself at his ideas. Glancing up, blue eyes met green and he flashed her a dazzling smile.

"I'm interested in helping you... maybe joining your pack if you get it up and running. I'm alone and despite the fact that I can look after myself well, I can offer protection for your people. My people if you'll accept me."

He knew it was a snap decision and one that he didnt usually make. But sometimes it felt right to go with the opportunities that presented itself to him and this was most definately an opportunity to seize. He heard her mention about meeting tomorrow and it seemed he would be sticking around here after all. A small tick in his brain seemed to tell him that he should be cautious of his brother following him to these lands. Despite not having heard a word from him in over a year, now that Teddy was actually making solid plans he seemed paranoid that his brother would come and ruin them all.

"Tomorrow? Well if you'll have me I can stick around till then.

She actually believed that he was telling the truth. Naniko wasn't one who was quick to trust in most situations, but she had the feeling that Teddy wasn't being deceitful. He seemed like he would be a good packmember as he was quite strong looking...and she wondered how good of a hunter and scout he was. What other skills did he have? She supposed that she would have to learn with time; in this moment she was willing to take what she could get.

"I'd take you and give you a home with me and my sister. " She would have to see how the meeting would go the next day. She hoped to get some things done with and finished so that she could get things up and running. Having an additional member would really help with things. His offer of protection and help was taken with a deep nod. She then stood up, clearing her throat. "Well. I'm sure you'll smell me around..I'll be seeing you tomorrow then"

ooc;; end of thread? <3

Without seeming to realise how her words sounded to a filthy minded male like Theodore, she told him she would take him home to her and her sister. Vivid images flashed across his mind and a wild flash of fire rushed down his body and settled in his groin area. He knew just about enough to know that Naniko had not meant the words how he had heard them, but the black male often let his imagination get away with him. And this was one of these occasions. He could think of a few things that he could say to her that would probably change her mind about offering him a home and a place in her pack, including 'I bet you would' and other such suggestive terms. But he would be sensible now, so he gave her a sombre smile and nodded softly.

"I appreciate it, Naniko"

He offered with a nice flash of his teeth. There seemed to be very few moments when the black male was serious around a women, but he managed to pull of sincerity. She seemed to want this meeting to come to a close and despite Teddy's interest in the white woman he had to admit that he wasnt some time on his own. After nearly a year surviving on his own with no one else for company, the young man wasn't too used to long periods of conversation. He would see other loners on his travels but most of them just ended in a scuffle and they were both on their way again. That included some of the females he had met too. So this conversation with Naniko that had not turned violent or sexual was causing something odd to occur in the young man. He was actually enjoying not having to act on impulse- he could think about what he wanted to say. Not that he took advantage of this, but it was nice to know he could.

"Until tomorrow then, my dearest Ugly friend!"

He declared before getting to his feet and brushing the snow from his legs and backside. If he had a hat he would have tipped it to her, but he didnt. So instead he nodded his head in acknowledgement before turning and walking up the mountains once more. He would no doubt find her tomorrow and his journey would begin again. He hoped it didnt end in the same way as it had last time, that was for certain.

-Teddy exits-
