The days were changing and the leaves had changed into different colors. The fall hues brought new found like to Sepirah and made the pack lands look more magnificent than they already were. Now the place actually started to look like it was on fire. In one sense it was amazing, but another not so much. While fire was amazing and beautiful to look at, it could also be destructive. The dark princess gave a small sigh before jumping out of her cave and stretching out her sore limbs. Sleeping on rock was a bit uncomfortable, but the jackal was able to tolerate it. Her tail hung high in the air as she gave a long yawn. She was ready to start her day.

Seeing as Sepirah had not journeyed to all the areas of her pack’s territory, she thought she would take the moment to explore. It was like a new adventure for the dark female and she was going to make the best of it. The dark princess padded along until she came to the forest on the eastern edge of the pack lands. The trees were tall and the soft breeze caused even the strongest leaves to fall. The jackal was already lost in the maze of trees and tried to find her way out. She was sure there was some better place to hang out than here.

While Sepirah was trying to sniff her way out, she paused and moved her ears around. She could hear the movement of something coming towards her. The dark princess ducked behind a log and noticed a pack of deer wandering her way. This was the perfect opportunity to get a meal to share with someone or to store away for the rest of the pack once winter hit. The jackal quietly stepped out of her hiding place and crouched down low. She had to pick one out that she would be able to take down on her own. So far all of them looked strong and healthy. The dark woman hoped that maybe someone would show up to help her.

Could we make this the night of Dec 1..? I know you referenced daytime in your post, but I don't mind if you don't feel like editing. xD Timeline junk. Is ok? :o

The sable woman had emerged from the mansion the cat and all the things she wanted to take, and now she was headed back for Larkspur... and back for a new life, she supposed. Her chartreuse-shaded eyes did not turn to gaze back at the mansion -- she had been hurt in there just the same as every other place. Some part of her knew she was at fault for killing Halo's rat, but the larger part of her denied blame and claimed provocation. There was no sense in the shadow-furred canine at times, but perhaps this was not her fault, either. She had no solid ground upon which to stand -- her life had been ripped from underneath her a year ago, and she had found no stable place here in Inferni. Maybe it was with Larkspur.

The hybrid's thoughts consumed her, almost to the point that she did not smell Sepirah's scent nearby until it was almost too late. Freezing mid-step, the woman peered around the forest, narrowed chartreuse eyes trying in vain to pick her half-niece's form from the dark forest around her. Itzcitla shifted in her arms, shivering with the cold, and the woman held him closer, walking forward cautiously again. She did not yet see Sepirah, and she had to keep going -- some part of her feared Larkspur would not wait forever.

ooc: sneaky sneaky Sepirah XD. WC: 304 {3 points}

Sepirah hadn’t realized how dark it was already getting since she came out to the forest. She paused and looked around the darkened forest, now more lost than ever. She realized if she was able to find the borders then she would be able to find her way out. The dark princess hadn’t realized that she was actually heading back down towards the mansion where Halo lived. The breeze of night was picking up and the jackal was eager to get back home where the warmth was. She began to head back in that direction and emitted a soft sigh.

Sepirah paused on her way back when she thought she heard something. She sniffed the air and caught the scent of Inferni. What was an Inferni member doing out this late at night? The dark princess turned back around and tried to make out who it was that was out. The jackal followed the scent as quietly as she could until she saw a figure passing by. Thankfully the blanket of darkness was able to cover her fur and all that would be seen was her golden gaze, but as long as she was behind the figure then she wouldn’t be spotted. The dark woman crept along and as she followed the figure. It seemed like whoever it was was heading right for the borders. This was serious. Was someone leaving the pack without telling anyone? She continued to follow her, but if she turned around, all she would see were the cold golden eyes of the spy. She had to find out what was going on and report it to her grandmother. She stopped and sniffed the air to try and figure out who it was. No names came to her head now but she was determined to find out who it was.

Thanks. <3333

The forest was not as familiar to the sable-shaded woman as it should have been, and Eris found herself moving more slowly, lagging with the heavy bundle in her arms. She wished she had her own horse, but even so, using it here would have been stupid -- she might as well have announced to the pack that she was on her way if she had come galloping in on a horse. Eris had not yet found anything suitable for Itzcitla to wear, and she did not want to put him on the ground, so she shifted him around, tucking the package underneath her arm and holding him something like a baby. The cat protested and growled, and the woman sighed softly, hesitating for a moment.

There was the distinctive and nervous feeling the shadow-furred hybrid was being watched, and she turned around a few times slowly, her chartreuse-shaded eyes narrowing. “Are you following me, Sepirah?” she asked, still unable to see her dark-furred relative and uncertain that anyone at all was following her. The question hung for a moment on the open air, and the woman remained, still but for the silver cloud of her breath as it rose in steady plumes into the night.

ooc: Sneaky Sepirah will not let her get away >Big Grin. WC: 309 {3 points}

Sepirah couldn’t believe what she was seeing. Was someone trying to leave the pack without someone noticing? It was the only logical explination. She followed the dark figure, gaining ground each moment she was following. The figure was becoming more clear. It was a female and a dark one at that. No wonder it was perfect for her to leave during the night. She did notice something more. It was the marking on her shoulder, it seemed so familiar. She paused to make sure she was not able to be spotted, even though following this female was not the easiest thing in the world. The jackal kept her golden eyes fixed on her target and continued in pursuit.

It was bound to happen eventually, Sepirah was caught following her. What surprised her was that the female knew her name. She listened carefully to the female’s voice and finally a name came to mind. It was her Aunt Eris. What was she doing so late at night and why was she so nervous about someone following her? The dark princess shook her head and came out from the shadows to confront her aunt. She looked to her and sighed. ”Yes I am… it’s not every night that their aunt goes wandering around in the middle of the night.” The jackal was trying to get at Eris’ motivation for this act but in a more subtle way. She waited patiently before speaking again. ”So what are you doing all the way out here? Isn’t it a little late for you to be wandering around?” The dark female could say the same for herself but she had a good reason. She had gotten lost and couldn’t figure out how to get out of the woods. She was just trying to find the borders and head back towards her own home.

The sable-shaded female did not know why Sepirah thought it was within her rights to follow her around -- Eris was not causing anyone harm by going, was she? If anything, she was merely disentangling herself from this messy clusterfuck of a family and doing everyone a favor. Her mother clearly did not care for Eris herself -- the children were the only motivating factor behind Kaena's decision to finally clue Eris into her father's identity. Even then, what had that been? For everything Eris had pinned her hopes on, she had received a ghost. There was no power in her paternal legacy, and the man had been dead longer than she had been alive.

“I'm leaving,” she said, flatly. There was no point in disguising this from the younger canine; she would figure it out herself, sooner or later. “Would you care to try and stop me?” she asked. There was no aggression in this question from Eris -- she did not desire a fight, but she would not be delayed a moment longer than absolutely necessary. “I am not bound to Inferni by shackle, you know,” she informed the girl curtly, aware of the imbalance of age and rank between them. It mattered little anymore to Eris -- she was not a member of Inferni anymore, not by her own estimation, anyway.

ooc: She'll miss her. SSWM: 527

Sepirah could see the slight look of anger in her aunt’s eyes. She couldn’t understand why she was seeing this. Wasn’t it common for others to worry and wonder about their family and where they might be going? She flicked the tip of her tail in annoyance. Not only was she curious as to where Eris was going, but she couldn’t help that she had gotten a bit lost and ran into her. She narrowed her eyes to her dark aunt before looking for something to elevate herself. She wanted to show to her aunt that she would not take the look that she was giving her, mainly because she felt she didn’t deserve it. She found a rock off to the side and crawled to the top before she looked to her aunt’s golden eyes. She let out a soft sigh as she flicked her tail again. Her annoyance level hadn’t raised any because Eris hadn’t done anything else to make her feel uneasy. She was now ready to hear what she had to say to her. Her ears moved up to listen to her.

Sepirah paused as Eris said that she was leaving from the Inferni pack. She couldn’t believe that one of her family members was actually leaving. She couldn’t understand why. She had to admit that she was about to leave before, but she did end up changing her mind. The dark princess’ attention turned back to her aunt when she asked if she had come to stop her. Why would she try and stop a family member from living her life? She was not her controller and wouldn’t dare to try and be so. The jackal knew she would miss her, but she was sure that as long as she was somewhere in the area then she would be able to visit her. Turning back to the dark female she shook her head to respond to her question. ”No. I will not force you to come back. I have no right to tell you have to live your life.” The dark girl paused before she let out a sigh and then began to speak again. ”I am curious though. Where are you heading to then? Some place nearby?” She then hopped off the rock and began to head back towards the borders. She knew she had passed by them and wanted to at least lead her to there so she had some last minutes with her aunt before she left. ”Coming Aunt Eris?”

Sepirah would begin to slowly was among the trees with her eyes up to the sky. She could see the moon out and was looking for a better spot to stand. She finally sat down in the moonlight and would wait for Eris to see if she would follow her niece. She let out a soft yawn as she waited. If she began to follow then the dark princess would walk at her side. Her curiosity side was brought to the surface and she wanted to see where she was heading. Considering she was caught in the forest, it must have been somewhere to the east.

The wolfish instinct to submit nearly compelled the woman to gaze at the floor at Sepirah's changed posture, but Eris choked it down and gazed back in fierceness. She had relinquished her rank in this pack, and she would not submit for them any longer. Though she knew damn well that Sepirah, years younger than Eris herself and granddaughter and niece, rather than blood daughter and half-sister to Kaena and Gabriel, far outranked her, the sable-shaded canine did not think that much mattered anymore. She relaxed just a hair at the woman's words, still unconvinced that Sepirah would not forcibly try to stop her. The sable-shaded canine would tell her, too, then, and hope that the children in her stomach were enough to stop an attack. The sable-shaded niece had never shown herself to be anything but friend to Eris, and yet the woman could not shake the deep distrust of this family.

“My children will be wolves,” she said, shifting the cat around in her arms and revealing the bulge in her stomach. “Less welcome here than I am,” she added. Though this was not, of course, the only reason the sable-shaded woman was leaving, it seemed the most plausible explanation, and the only one she could give without sound like a giant jerk. “We're going to Anathema,” the hybrid stated, knowing full well she might as well be telling Kaena herself. It was something of a challenge to the old woman -- vengeance would be waiting for her, should she be inclined to seek it. Surprised by the escort, the sable-shaded woman started after her niece after a moment of hesitation, hurrying to the borders. She knew Larkspur would be waiting and he would want to know what she and Sepirah had spoken of.

The borders were ahead of them faster than the charter use-eyed woman had expected, and she shuffled her cat and some of her things to Larkspur, turning back to Sepirah for a moment. Eris would not regret leaving, but she had not expected such understanding from one who seemed so indoctrinated with clan and family. It was refreshing and surprising, to say the least. “Never really belonged to this family, I think,” she said, something of an awkward explanation. She dipped her head forward in an equally strange good-bye, and turned to Larkspur, the two of the disappearing quickly in the direction of the newest pack.

Sepirah gave her aunt an odd look, but then again she started the odd look first. How hard was it for her to understand the words coming out of her mouth? She was not the leader so she had no right to tell members of the pack if they could leave or not, plus Eris was family, not to mention older than her, so why would she even try to try and force her to stay in a place where she did not want to be? The dark princess paused when the black woman spoke about her children being wolves. Children? She was expecting a litter up pups? She watched as her aunt moved her cat to show her stomach. She really was pregnant. She couldn’t believe that there was going to be more of the family coming soon to the area and she couldn’t wait until the day she would be able to see the pups; that was of course assuming that Eris would let her near them. The jackal still didn’t say anything as Eris mentioned that they were going to Anathema. The name did not sound familiar to her, so it must have been a new pack that had formed in the area. She nodded and then finally felt it was her turn to speak. ”I will miss you Eris, and I do wonder if I will be able to see your children once they are born.” She watched as she took to the male’s side and then spoke again. ”I hope you’ll also let me come visit you in your new home.” The dark girl then took a seat on the ground and waited to see them leave.

Once they were all gone, Sepirah closed her eyes to think about what she should do next. She knew she would have to tell Kaena about Eris leaving with the male and going to a newly formed pack, but for now, it was time to crash for the night. She turned around and began to weave her way through the forest trying to find her way back home. The dark princess eventually found her way and began to trot the whole way home. She couldn’t wait to reach the warmth of her home and curl up for the night. She began to run, not caring that she could feel the cold wind blowing through her fur. She just wanted to get home and go to bed. Finally the jackal made it back home and curled up near the back of her den. She was so glad to be here. She pulled her blanket over her and stared to the exit of her home. She hoped that Eris made it to her new home safely with her friend. The dark girl soon fell asleep and dreamed on her future, her days of a leader and being able to come and visit her aunt in the new pack.
