hold me down for we are no longer the same

ooc- so this is Cass' crazy emotional thread. He's been a wreck especially since he's been MIA. Part of the reason for his insanity is the infection that is starting to form from his unchanged bandages. I need at least one IFer with medical knowledge, and two more members to help hold him down and calm him. This has to be a group thread, and is open to IFers only (preferrably those who know him too). Takes place in DeNeville Mansion in Cass' loft.

[html]
His room was unchanged, all of his possesions remained in their proper place before Cassius had gone off. But it didn't matter to Cass. Nothing affected him, since his mind was separated into it's own world now, his emotions thrown into chaos. He had no control over himself. Nobody seemed so safe around him. He was not the Cass most of Inferni had come to know. His shirt he normally wore was gone, the bloody bandages being the only thing covering his chest. His broken arm remained in the sling, worthless and unusable. The coy hybrid still wore shorts, but it hardly showed what used to be his sophistication. His mane that was cut neatly was now grown out long, messy and scraggly. His purple eyes shone with a painful rage, rather than the Southern hospitality he was known for. He was certainly a changed man.

Cassius laid on his bed, staring into the ceiling as if he would burn holes right through the roof. He was in immense amounts of pain, none that anyone wold ever begin to imagine. Gadget, the faithful raccoon companion who stuck by Cass' side since he was picked up in Halifax, sat nervously in the corner. Cass' mood had been quite unpredictable lately, and was afraid to move about the loft. He was still attached to his companion, but Gadget feared for the coyote's sanity.

The ringtail looked mournfully at Cassius, until the coy's imperial eyes shifted lightning fast from the roof to the rodent. Gadget jumped nearly out of his skin. Cass stared at the coon with a hatred never seen before in the formerly benevolent mechanic's eyes. "What'chu lookin' at?" he questioned angrily. The coon just froze, wide eyed. "Y'all think I fuckin' like bein' like this? HUH?!?" Cassius was screaming at the coon, swinging his good arm but missing, sending the raccoon diving into the safety of the corner behind his desk. Cass then slammed his right fist into the wall, forcing his face into the pillow and screaming as loud as he could. If nobody noticed something wrong they definitely would now.

The mighty, hollow rooms of the impressive mansion had managed to hold on to their dusty tranquillity, though several members of the infamous coyote clan treated it as their precious home. Halo was not one that particularly bothered to check up on things that were not owned by her, but she adored the immerse house and did her part in keeping the place clean and repairing the minor flaws that age brought forth within the building’s full innards. Everyone knew each other more or less, and Halo more or less got along with the majority of the rest of the canines that had accommodation behind the villa’s grand shell. There were, of course, some that she would never be able to stand the faces of, but the house was large enough for two creatures to avoid each other if they wished. There were others that she wished she could lay her ruby coated eyes upon more often, like a particular male that lived on her floor.

The Inferni princess assumed they were both busy living their lives, but her heart wished for him to be a larger part of hers. Perhaps it was difficult for the male to decide where this relationship of theirs was going. The Triarii was certain of what she wanted, but could not bear to assume the male’s goals for this. However, she did not harbour the maddening insecurity of not being able to properly guess her feelings. Halo could never consider her fully certain of things that were valuable and close to her heart, but she knew that there was no one but her in his life at the moment. The knowledge alone was enough to let champagne bubbles rise from the pits of her stomach. It made her so much more greedy though, but she did not want to intrude on the male’s privacy.

The door leading into her bedroom was quietly closed behind the female as she walked out into the hallway. Right now she did not have many concrete matters to attend to, and whenever she had some spare time she wished to use them on something productive. The warrior hated not having anything to do, and her steps led her further into the hallway of the second floor. Curiosity was instant when noise travelled. Ears instantly flattened in distinct dislike at this intrusive noise she was witnessing. As always, it was not difficult to anger the copper painted woman with the dark auburn hair, and deep scarlet held that open reluctance already as she picked up her pace in pursuit to find the guilty pile of dirt that disturbed the quiet of her home. She had lived here the longest and had in the meantime obtained the highest rank of all, directly under her beloved leaders. She was extremely content with the rank as the head warrior.

She recognized the voice now, and was furious to realize that it was Cassius that was making all the fuzz. The sound revealed that it was in his room he had chosen as the spot of his raging fit. The woman felt slightly hesitant within, but her body’s movement was firm and angry as she stomped down the corridor towards the screaming. It was odd though, and she was not certain if he deserved her immediate anger. The purple eyed man had never really proven all that difficult, and had always been friendly and somewhat timid when she had met him. Well, perhaps not, for his personality had suggested instability in the past, and perhaps he had finally hit the wall and exploded. It certainly sounded like that was what had happened. This did not frighten her the least, but she detected worry within as well. She was not certain if she could describe him as a friend, as they so rarely ran into each other, but he was a friendly enemy that occasionally interfered with her life, and he was part of the clan after all. She was supposed to protect them.

Her short journey brought her up to the loft he possessed, though she had heard no noise and detected no presence from his room lately, and arrived just in time to see the man insert a strong willed fist into the hard wall. Eyebrow lifted, though not with horror. What the fuck was wrong with the dude. Nostrils flared as she drew in the disgustingly sweet scent of sickness. She wanted to stomp in and demand where the hell he had been and why he was acting like fool, but the vague scent made her amend her thoughts, and instead she took a step backwards. Was he crazy? ”Cass?” she asked, voice revealing her bewilderment about the scene she had walked into. She had not signed up for any of this, but she did not have the option of turning her back on him once this madness had been discovered. This was her fucking house, and it was not possible for her to abandon a scene where one of the mansion’s scarce inhabitants had gone mad.

She shook her head slightly, though remained by the opening. She stayed there, unwilling to interact much as long as she did not have control of the situation. She was extremely deadly, and did not fear the man if he suddenly was to lunge at her, but she was not willing to hurt an Inferni member just because he was insane. He was an individual she tolerated, and therefore she did not want to have to go into a physical quarrel with him. If she ever felt the need to beat someone of her own clan up, she would only have to seek out one of the less bright ones, and she knew them all by name. Her red gaze reeled; turned to gaze in the direction of where she had come from. She did not want to deal with this alone if he was a complete madman. He needed someone that could help, not her.

COTL VAN ULRICH

Cotl Van Ulrich, where have you been dear sir? You've been here the whole time? You goddamn liar. Cotl had actually been close by the whole time, mostly just ignoring the world around him and dealing with the family he had here. He still was trying to earn back the attention of Marik, whom had walked in on some naughty thing that Izaak had been doing to Cotl on his birthday. He also had spent some time with his son, Sascha and the man's buffalo that had been captured by the young man. They didn't kill the baby buffalo, instead they kept it, and found it food to eat everyday so that it wouldn't starve. Cotl was grateful that there was a greenhouse here and that they were able to grow things year round because of it. If they didn't have the house then they would be shit out of luck in the winter.

The twitchy being had been slightly worried about what had happened only a week or so ago. He had been around when the albino deer had run into the packlands, covered in blood, though not injured. The reindeer had been panicked and had run from wherever it was back to Inferni. The creature had belonged to Izaak, and Cotl had not seen the man in about a week or so now, and Cotl could only assume that the kid was being an asshole somewhere else, why his steed had come back here was either because one of two things. Izaak was tired of the deer and beat him until he left and fled to Inferni or the blood on the deer was Izaak's and something had happened to him. Cotl hoped it was number two. The stupid boy caused nothing but trouble for Cotl. Good riddance if he was dead.

Cotl sat in his room presently, gasmask on his face and room fogged out, like everyday around the same time of day. He actually was in his room by himself this time, rather than with his son or with Marik, or someone else. Either way, he was sitting in his room, and there had been only him and the sound of his CD player playing some Megadeth that he had found that one day with Kansas a long time ago. Since he barely played the CD player, the batteries were still good for now, later they would be dead and the CD player would be rendered useless. The earbuds were on his ears, the rest of the world non-existent until there was a loud bang on the walls and screaming. Cotl took the earbuds off and quickly shut the cd player off and put it under his pillow. He took the mask from his face and he had placed that on his bed as well. He got up from his bed and opened his door and listened to the sound of angry footsteps echoing in the hallway. The man let a loud NYEH sound rise from his voice as he had looked to where the sounds were coming from.

Cotl moved towards the sounds and found that it was all coming from towards Cassius' room. Cotl was walking towards the room when he saw Halo of all people standing outside of the door. She didn't look too happy either. Cotl's tall, 'yote ears had twitched and his head cocked. Die fuck? the man asked Halo before he moved closer to the room and he pushed to look past Halo and into the room, where he saw Cassius laying there on the bed with his head in the pillows. Cassius...Vhat's goings on-NYEH-? Cotl asked his purple-eyed friend.

ooc- lol finally i get to post Tongue thanks for joining guys!

Cassius had not very many friends since he first came to the Nova Scotia area from his beloved Louisiana. He had met a few people sure, but he could hardly call anyone a definite friend. Cotl, the German hybrid, most likely but many else? Not so much. Some others he had met, like Halo and Kaena Lykoi: the granddaughter/grandmother duo who were of the Lykoi family, as well as a few of their relatives: Anselm, Razekiel, and Mkhai. But those five, they were not friends. No, merely acquaintances. It was a shame. Cassius could have used more friends.

The hybrid heard his door open and words be spoken as he thrashed and threw his insane fit. He could hardly recognize the voices in his sickly demented state, but saw flashes of orange, black, and copper. He could see Cotl's form a little more clearly than the other, but he soon realized that Halo, too, stood in his doorway. Obviously, the ruckus he made had caused them to investigate.

However, he hardly reacted to their presence. Cass' rage went uninterrupted as he went on screaming in agony and hate. The coyote took his injured arm and swung it at the wall - trying to get both hands to beat at the paint- and ended up injuring it further. The bandages that covered his arm and shoulders started to stain red and brown again, from his wounds reopening from his sudden movement and activity. He screamed again - louder this time - and fell onto the floor, his body writhing and contorting. His head beat against the floor, as if his brain was trying to destroy itself and end the excruciating pain it had to suffer.

He saw the two clan members out of his tearing eyes, still standing in the doorway. He reached out - almost angrily - with his right hand and attempted to pull his body towards them, but his body would not budge and his claws left only crevasses in the old wooden floor. Cassius did not speak, but stared at them with raging purple eyes. His body and mind were a mess. The Southern man lay helpless and crazed on the floor of his loft. It seemed as if there wasn't much anyone could do. Deep breaths came from his mouth as his chest rose and fell, his lungs filling with the grimy air of the stuffy loft.

Another creature arrived to the scene, passing by her still, thoughtful form to peer into the madman’s room. The slender female’s face had already found disapproving folds, though she was grateful that she was not alone with the man anymore. Arms had been crossed in front of her chest, but now they detached from each other and loosened up, fingers flexing slightly as she recognized the path her mind was making. Cassius was obviously a danger to everyone including himself, and that was not something she would stand and watch happen. This was her house, and no rapid bastard was allowed to fuck up on this property while she was home.

”Cotl, take his right side, I’ll take left.” her voice was quiet and controlled, red scarlet orbs searching for the hybrid’s in search of acknowledgement. Her mind toyed with the thought of simply knocking the rapid guy unconscious, but she did not wish that to be the first option. They were two and the madman one, and it should not be a terribly hard task to restrain him. Cassius was not well, and they could not have him maintain this cruel scene and injure himself further. Lips drew back to reveal the sharp points of sparkling white teeth, but there was only tranquil breath in her lungs. Stepping into the room, her nose wrinkled at the sweet aroma pouring from the male’s injury. She had no idea of what had happened, but her instinct could tell her that something bad was festering.

”I will give you the choice.” she spoke to the rapid man. ”The easy way or my way.” She paused then, giving him a few seconds to calm down and regain sense. She did not expect any improvement, but she liked the thought of having given him a chance before she was to use force. Her approach brought her slightly to the left of his fallen form. Ruby danced up to Cotl’s bi-coloured gaze quickly before shooting back to the canine threat on the floor.

COTL VAN ULRICH

Cotl had his eyes on the thrashing man. Cassius obviously had been festering here for too long, his wounds smelt old and nasty, infected perhaps. The thrashing was only making things work, and if Cotl hadn't been concerned about those slashing claws, he would have jumped in to stop him much sooner than he did. Halo stood there behind him, her actions unseen by the Imaginifer simply because his back was to her. Her words, however were heard. She told him to take the right while she would take the American's left. Cotl had moved into the room, towards the flailing man's right, but stayed from reach, all until the man had finally reached out to his housemates. Cotl couldn't help but smile at the pain written all over the man's face, for him to see others in pain was a pleasure to him, but of course, this pain that was here was much more intense than what was safe he would guess and he, as fellow packmate and friend of Cassius, could not let the man just sit there and writhe in it more than he had been for however long he had been this way. Cotl probably would have helped the man get better faster if he had known the man was hurt. Cassius never screamed from help until now, and still, he did not scream for help, just out of rage.

Cotl twitched his ears and gave a loud clear of his throat before he had approached the purple-eyed being who simply laid there on the floor, looking at both of them with rage that made the Imaginifer's fur naturally rise on his back. Cassius was looking at him with a look of battle, of death, and Cotl's body reacted naturally to such a look with a fresh pump of adrenaline and some visual alertness of the rust man's short body. His step was cautious and stiff, arms ready to grab the man when he got close enough. The Imaginifer watched the male closely when the woman warned Cassius with her words. NYEH the rust man had let the sound come from his throat. Cass, ist okays, Just let us helps. the Imaginifer had told the man, only his vocals being able to become at least somewhat empathetic since his mind, eyes, and mouth could not twist in ways of normalcy. Cotl still would have liked to know why the man was going insane, but this was all something for later he figured. Cotl looked back at Halo for a moment, as if she had the answer, but she probably he no more of a clue than he did.

Cotl swallowed the extra saliva that would congregate in his mouth, and then he would turn to Cassius and close the rest of the distance between them. Cotl stuck his hand out to touch Cassius, almost expecting for the man to retaliate and hit him, so he flinched for a moment before grabbing the man by the arm and trying his hardest to get the man in a position to where they could help him.
