It had been a while since Shiloh had seen a familiar face. She was yearning for seeing someone, anyone, at this point. It had been the white female's decision alone to pick herself up, say goodbye to her father and companions at Inferni, and travel back to Dahlia de Mai. At least there, she'd be welcomed with open paws, by family members.. and perhaps other people who would adore her. While she loved her father, Shi's short time in the pack of coyotes was just.. strange. They didn't have much of a liking for wolves, her included, and their mannerisms were grotesque and almost uncivilized. At least, that's how she thought of them. The darling, pristine, white princess would have none of it, and so she felt she had to go back.

A smile crossed the young female's muzzle, as she gingerly carried herself along a path that was slowly becoming more and more worn. Green grass stretched for miles all around her, and the dirt she tread on was well packed down - just the way she liked it. An ear flicked on top of her cream-striped head, and Shiloh swore she caught the sound of the shore nearby. Oh how she loved that sound, she had been following the sounds of water lapping on sand since she left. It meant she was that much closer to home. She remembered her father telling her, as she and him went back to Inferni together a few months ago, to follow those sounds, which linked both of her homes together. Though she didn't think she could belong in Inferni (at least not without her father protecting her), perhaps the female could find it where her brothers now currently resided.

The young female held her head up high, feeling extremely confident. She didn't see where she was going, though, and stepped into a patch of muddy snow. Her body froze mid-step, and her tail, curled up high on her rump, slumped down immediately. A flash of anger burned through her cerulean eyes, and her stiff head tilted down, as if she dared herself to look. What she saw was what she expected, but not what she hoped. Half of her front right paw sunk down, covered with slush and dirt.

"Ahhhh! No no no no!" She cried out to the frosty air, forgetting that the scents of the wolves of Dahlia de Mai were very close. The young female spun around a few times, shaking her paw vigorously to rid of the grime. Oh how she hated getting dirty! Why now? Why of all times, when she was so close to strutting around and presenting herself in front of friends and family? Shiloh whined, and once the dirt she could shake off was gone, with disgust written on her face she began to clean herself with a wide tongue. This wasn't new to her, even when she wasn't dirty Shi would constantly clean her fur. It was the way she was, and this white and cream damsel would not change that.

He felt like he had done a few things backward in his life. Gideon was the type of wolf who, once focused on something, completed his task from start to finish. He was devoted to the pups that he had adopted, Melee and Range, and intended to continue to teach them and see them through to adulthood. It might have taken away a little bit of his own childhood to care for them, but he wouldn't have it any other way. He was a very serious wolf at times, but he had his gentle and playful side. He would likely keep that youthful spirit throughout his life.

Gideon was just about to exit the packlands to go on an out-of-the territory hunting excursion when he heard a shrill voice. His ears went back at the sharp sound and he flinched slightly, staring off in into the area from which the sound had originated. What sort of creature could make a squeal like that? Intrigued, the large, bumbling luperci took off in the direction of the noise.

He, Saul, and Ascher had all shifted earlier that month, and the young adult stood proud and tall on two back feet. He felt like much more of an adult in this form, even if he wasn't officially one yet, and took large strides toward the mystery sound. When the wolf finally came into view, his eyes widened. "SHILOHHHHH?" He called, beginning to walk a little faster toward her. He would recognize that smell anywhere...and now realized that the squealing noise he'd heard earlier had come from her.

ooc: Yays! Family reunion!+3

From anyone who would've looked at the young female from a distance would've just rolled their eyes and called her a wimp. Shiloh loved the outdoors (why wouldn't any wolf?), just not the grungy, dirty part of it. After excessive licking and cleaning the half of her paw, she gave a small 'hmph!' at the earth, glaring at it as if it were nature's fault. In the female's mind, it was nature that got in her way, not the other way around.

She shook her head, and the motion trailed all the way through her growing fur and to the tip of her perfectly white tail. A distinct noise drifted through the winds, and for just a moment Shi thought the wind was speaking her name. "Yes?" She turned her head, and saw no one in the direction she was looking, but then turned around in the other direction completely. And the sight she saw took her absolute breath away.

It was her brother. Shiloh knew this to be true. But he had.. changed. He was on two feet! Her own brother was able to shift into a Luperci after all! Did that mean her brothers could? Or more importantly, that she could too? She kept her sparkling blue eyes on the creature that walked towards her, then saw as he began to run after she looked in his direction. "Giddy!" The young female managed to breathe out. Her body, too, took off at a running pace, on all fours, to meet up with him.

She stopped and let him do the rest of the catching up, plus she didn't want dust to cake her coat. It was unbelievable, to see that her brother was alive and well in Dahlia. Shi's heart was beating with the excitement of finally seeing a sibling that she missed so much. "Is that really you, Giddy?"

Gideon probably smelled very different than he had before, but some things about him hadn't changed. Turquoise eyes looked down into the cerulean of his sister's, his mouth stretching in a wide smile, tail waving frantically behind him. He had gotten much bigger since he'd last seen her, that was for sure! She had, too! His sister would still be his sister, though, and he crouched down to be more at her level so that he could have a better look at her.

He reached out to give her a hug if she would allow him to do so, laughing. "It's really me! I thought you were gone for good. Ascher and Saul are here, Shiloh. They came back" It was a blessing. He felt very lucky that he had his family back with him. If their father ever chose to return someday, then they could give him the option of staying here. He'd only gotten to see Dreyrugr once or twice for very short periods of time, but would welcome him back if he ever returned.

"Where did you run off to? And where's Dad?" He asked, looking around. "I was heading out to do some hunting..I didn't think I'd run into my very own sister out here. How was the trip? Did you miss us?" His questions came out of his mouth as quickly as they had come to his brain, his tail still waving crazily behind him.

ooc;; -throws saul into the fray- hope you dont mind dearies!

Saul Stormbringer

Their hunt had been successful to say the very least and everyone had eaten well a few days ago. The carcass was still available for any to pick at in the town square. However, after his meeting with Shawchert the other day, Saul had decided to experiment with the small amount of wood carving he knew. If he could carve wood at a novice level, maybe he could carve bone too. He had taken a few of the rib bones from the deer they had caught, washing them clean and drying them, ready for him to carve them into something beautiful. He knew that bones were hollow and they were filled with delicious bone marrow. And therefore he wasn't quite sure how he was going to go about making it into something. A whistle would be easy, but to make an animal shape would be a bit more difficult. He had ideas in his mind of presents for Gideon and Ascher, to be presented on their first birthday. But he needed the materials first.

He was out in the woods, very close to the beach he had come to love so much, when he heard a squeel. If he hadnt been concentrating on the sound he would have dismissed it, but he could definately hear that it was a squeel. Curiosity gripped him harder than trying to find the right chunk of wood for his brothers and he took off at a fast pace. It was obvious that Saul was the fastest runner of their brood and his daily training was helping to make sure that his once emaciated body was building muscle and strength quickly. So he took powerful bounds through the forest and towards the sound. It didnt take him long, but the scene unravelling towards him was something that both overjoyed him and upset him. Shiloh had returned, it appeared. And Gideon had his favourite sibling back.

Saul was never a bitter male, nor did he hold grudges. The moment the flash of hurt had left him, he plastered a grin across his face and took a leaping bound at his contrasting siblings. He didnt process anything they were saying, he was too excited to see his sister home once more. She looked good for someone who had been lost almost four months and Saul imagined that their father had indeed found her and returned her home. Hope swelled in his heart for a moment and from his vantage point of being on the outside of the bunch he glanced over a creamy shoulder in search of their darker father. He was disappointed, but it was overriden quickly by his sister.

"I'm so glad to see you Shi! Welcome home"

He said with a certain warmth in his voice. Still, he couldnt help but watch his brother and his sister closely, waiting to see if they would be annoyed at his interuption of their little reunion.

Yes, short and crappy, but YOU'LL HAVE TO MANAGE! >:O -shakes axe-

It seemed several paths were about to be crossed today. Perhaps he had followed the fresh trace of Gideon, or perhaps paws had just followed a similar route to that he usually took when padding towards the borders. Either way, the four legged man entered the scene, rolling down from a nearby hill doing somersaults like a ninja only slightly late. Lavender eyes settled on the young female with interest for only a split moment before taking on a genuine smile of welcome. Could it be that the last Stormbringer child had returned to them? Truth be told, these were no longer children. Shiloh had grown into a beautiful young female, her pelt similar to that of his Bris, with the exception of mud clinging to it.

”Shiloh!” he chimed, white tipped tail wagging behind autumn hued form. The alpha could only repeat the words that had been Saul’s only moments ago. ”Welcome home!” Bris would be overjoyed to see the only girl of the litter home as well. Eyes did not rise to seek for Drey, for he knew that the girl was alone. The Stormbringers’ father was a good man at heart, but his spirit knew no rest. Drey would never be able to settle with his children. It was a harsh truth, but that man possessed the soul of a wanderer.

+5. Yay Saul! The more the merrier. And I love you, viking lady. xD;

Shi was instantly greeted by the warm embrace of Gideon, still not believing what she was seeing before her eyes. She, too, had several questions to ask him about the form he was in. When would she be able to shift? Except, of course, it seemed her questions would have to wait, as her dear brother began bombarding her with a string of his own. "Where did you run off to? And where's Dad?" "Well, he--" But she was interrupted, as Giddy just kept on going. "How was the trip? Did you miss us?" Shi saw his tail wagging madly, he was obvious very happy to see her. For a moment, annoyance crossed the white female's features, but it quickly dissipated. Shi had no reason to be upset now - she was home.

"Of course I missed you, and everyone else, Giddy," she began in a rather matter-of-fact tone. "The trip was.. lonely. Dad didn't want to come back." A bit of sorrow was laced in her sweet voice, one that she deemed was like honey falling off the honeycomb. "But how is everyone? And since when were you able to shift?" Her head was cocked to the side as she looked up at him, sputtering different questions at him. The female must have been a late bloomer indeed, for Shiloh suddenly turned her head at the sound of someone else she deemed as familiar. It was her other brother, Saul, also in two-legged form! "I'm so glad to see you Shi! Welcome home"

"S-Saul!" Shi nearly stuttered, surprised too in the same form as Gideon. Her body turned and she bounded up to meet him walking towards the pair, and licked his cheek. Another look of disgust crossed her face as she did the motion, the same look she gave to Giddy. "Ugh! When was the last time either of you bathed?" The last word was stressed, as she mockingly glared from one brother to the other. Then a smile crept along her muzzle, and she giggled. "Oh my, how it seems you two have grown. It feels wonderful to be back." She let her words hang in the air for a moment, until one white ear swiveled to the side at her name being called in the distance.

It was none other than Conor, the male she had met the first time she and her brothers came back home to Dahlia. The young female smiled at the male, feeling a bit more comfortable that there was another on four legs in her presence. "Hello, Conor," she said with respect, and yet warmth. Where she was sitting, she bowed her head to him. This female knew where respect was to be given, Shi was no stranger to manners. However, she too knew he was friendly, and so stood up briefly to give him a greeting lick on the cheek out of respect. "I'm glad to be home." Shiloh was beaming, her face aglow with happiness. Her tail, too, wagged with the same intensity.
