Here you go. SSWM: 619

Sepirah could recall moments in the past well and some also stuck in her mind. She could remember back to meetings with members and getting to know them, some not as well as others. She also remembered back to the meeting that happened a little while ago before the winter had hit the land. It was nice to see so many members all in one place to get to know them better, except for one. There was that one coyote that seemed to get to her nerves and make her want to do something, though she was not about to make a scene in front of the leaders and other pack members. She remembered that the male had an orange hue to his fur was well as a brownish underside. He also had blood red eyes, as most of the members of Inferni seemed to have. She even remembered the reason that she disliked the male. He shot a glance to her uncle that seemed to show some disrespect towards him. Because she was on of the higher ranks now, she felt respect was of the highest value, and anyone who wouldn’t show it would have to learn their place. The dark princess wondered why she hadn’t spotted the male around the pack lands though. She didn’t remember him being a shy one. In fact the male seemed like he was perfect to be one of the warriors of the pack. If she ever ran into him again, she would make sure that he learned to show respect to the leaders.

Sepirah yawned as she woke and peered outside of her home. She was glad to see that there was no snow falling from the sky. For the past few days she had to deal with snow falling from the sky as well as it being on the ground. She wrapped her scarf around her neck before she stepped out into the cold. The dark princess couldn’t wait until the snow disappeared and the warmth would return to the land. She wanted her pads to feel the warm soil once again and not the chill that was sent to her paws. She lowered her tail and posture as she went outside. She wasn’t surprised not to see too many members out and about. She figured most of them were trying to escape from the cold. The jackal would be doing the same thing if it wasn’t for he face that she was getting hungry. She sniffed around but didn’t smell anything. She then began to head to the river closest to her home. It was the river Lethe. She walked up and noticed that the water was frozen over. She placed her paw on the ice to break it so that she could get a quick drink and then look for a quick meal. The water was so cold but it felt good going down her throat. She picked her head back up when she was done and began to head down the river to find some prey.

Sepirah paused and moved her ears up when she caught the sound of movement in the woods. She crept along and began to sniff the air. She could have sworn that she had caught the scent of a hare heading for the river. The jackal had to be careful now. She didn’t want to fall face first into the water. She smirked before she bounded after the animal. It was fast but she was able to keep up with it. She grabbed it by the ears and threw it into the air before she grabbed it in her jaws. Once the rabbit was gone, she would begin to head back home.

Man, I suddenly had a lot of inspiration for this one. Haha. SSWM: 830

In the three months that Kesho had been back in Inferni, he had only met perhaps half of his packmates, if even that. It wasn't something that had necessarily been causing his brain to itch, but he did desire to have more friends, at the very least. His old age make it a bit hard to mesh with the younger members of the clan, though he'd been trying his best to update himself. He'd even gone so far as to walk around in Optime form more frequently, donned with the tattered dark red scarf that Alyssum had given him; he'd left behind the simple leather bag he'd recovered from Halifax. Maybe this fresh appearance would help with his feelings of age and separation. Whatever the outcome, he tried to put these thoughts out of his mind, for now.

The old man was enjoying a jaunt in the near dusk, feeling exceptionally spry today. The Hastati had managed to fashion a weapon from a rib bone of a deer he'd slain in this form, proud and confident for having mostly overcome his fear of the form. Though the rusty male was not looking for a meal, he kept his nose and ears up, eyes alert, for any signs of movement that he might be able to take advantage of.

As soon as the moon's light began to fade completely, a breeze caught his nostrils and he froze. An ear twitched; he heard movement. It was small, probably just a rabbit, but he could not deny himself the thrill of the hunt; even an easy one like this. Immediately he crouched low, now wishing that he was in his Secui form, but knew despite the odd posturing, he could catch the small mammal.

The creature paused to sniff the ground, it's ears ridden with spasms, attempting to detect what it felt was closeby. It was in this moment that Kesho made his move.

The rusted man slid around the trunk of the tree that had provided his shelter, immediately leaping to the rabbit, powerful legs propelling him within inches of the creature. However, he had failed.

In an annoying feat of anticipation, the hare sped off, and though Kesho had attempted to catch the small beast with the blade of his knife, the thing had evaded him. A low growl, and he angrily stalked off after the thing. How dare you get away from me...

But suddenly he saw quick movement ahead of him, the rabbit now out of sight. With a grumble he broke into a rhythmic, fast run, trying to now make up for the moments of slacking. But, it was too late.

A dark figure had snatched up the creature right before his eyes. From fifty feet away the Hastati watched, his dark red eyes shadowed with a pale rage for whoever had stolen his kill.

He quickly remembered where he was; still in Inferni. So, the perpetrator must have been a clan member. Immediately his tension was relieved, although his hackles remained raised, an eyebrow cocked in curiosity as he neared.

Into his vision came a small, jackal-looking girl. She possessed a red mask, like Kaena, and Kesho instantly recalled her; he remembered the look of disgust she'd given him at the clan meeting. Now he regretted approaching at all. Now, the tension rose again, if only slightly.

Kesho paced forward; the last drops of moonlight spilling through the canopies of the trees highlighted the spilled blood around the girl, and her red-stained mouth, teeth, and paws. She had made quick work of the beast, as he would have.

The old man did not know the Lykoi girl's name, but would now be sure to find out. Not all Lykoi were the same, Kesho soon discovered, and some would take much time to trust. Halo was quickly becoming an important ally to him, but the others, well... There was a group of hippie, peace-and-love preaching sisters, all Lykoi. And what to think of them? They would be the death of Inferni, he thought. They needed to bring their heads from the clouds. So did he.

"Hello, again." Kesho stated simply. He wondered if she remembered his name, but decided not to ask, and instead wait and see. "We tracked the same animal." he said, a small smirk on his face, trying to be friendly but unsure of her feeling towards him, now. "Nice night." the man nodded rather awkwardly and stiffly to the woman.

Kesho took several deep breaths, still recovering from his sprint, fingering the bone knife in his hand. Now, though, he tucked it into the makeshift strap he'd made; a tie around his leg, to hold that blade only. He was not looking to fight this girl, that was sure. And maybe, if they actually spoke at length, she might not think so lowly of him; or he of her.

Sorry for the wait. SSWM: 544

Sepirah was so glad that she was able to get a quick meal as the night was settling in on the Inferni lands. She looked up to the sky as she watched the moon hanging in the sky and the stars began to shine brightly against the darkness. She could feel the blood dripping from her mouth and onto the snow. Seeing as it was night time, she was sure it would be alright to leave the trail back to her home. It was sure to snow more in the night and would just cover it up with a clean layer of snow. The dark princess paused on her way back home as she caught the scent of another member following her and her kill, though the scent of the rabbit was so strong that it was blocking her scent from whoever was nearby. The jackal paused and looked around. It was not hard for her to see in the dark, and it helped her to blend in seeing as her fur was black aside from her muzzle. Her golden eyes scanned around the area for the source of the scent, though it was a bit hard so see, plus the chill was coming and she wanted to get home as soon as possible.

Finally Sepirah caught eye of the one who had approached her. If she was correct, this orange and brown male was the same one she remembered from the pack meeting. She looked into his blood red eyes before reaching down and picking up her kill. She could feel the warmth of the blood dripping once more. The dark princess was ready to leave but it seemed he wanted to try and talk to her first. She stayed where she was and just listened to what it was he had to say to her. She was glad to see that the male’s attitude had change, but then again, she didn’t look like a wolf so she could not say for sure. She looked to the kill as he mentioned that they were chasing after the same thing. Even if they were, she was the one who killed it; therefore, that made the meal her’s. She thought for a moment and figured she could be the better person by sharing the meal, but she was not going to do it here. She still wanted to get home and she trusted her pack mate enough to show him some shelter. She nodded her head towards her home, asking for him to follow her.

Sepirah finally stopped at her home and quickly rushed inside. She set the rabbit down in the corner and waited for the male to come inside. She took a moment to shake the snow off her fur before laying down and pulling her blanket over herself. ”Sorry for not saying anything before. I wanted to get out of the cold.” She shivered a bit and then pulled the rabbit over towards her and her guest. ”Perhaps you’d like to share this meal with me then, seeing as we were both after the same thing?” The dark princess began to gnaw on the rabbit, pulling neat off of its leg and chewing on it, savoring the flavor of the warm meat.

No worries, I'm sorry, too! I didn't notice this right away. :X Also, weird post. WC: 560

The jackal woman chose not to respond to Kesho, but instead motioned for him to follow her. He eyed her slightly grumpily, nodding reluctantly and following with a slight roll of his eyes. Not even a greeting? Hmm. And where exactly was she taking him? He figured she must have a den or something nearby, but he couldn't understand the sudden and desperate need to go there, without any words whatsoever.

It wasn't an incredibly long walk, and Kesho didn't mind it. Ignoring his traveling partner as she did to him, he allowed himself to focus on his steps, trying to stretch out his achy muscles as they moved. He was getting used to the winter's weather once again, and was even learning to enjoy it's frigid embrace. Nevertheless, he would not object to a brief escape from the windy, snow-blown chill of the night.

The old Hastati realized with a bit of relief that Sepirah must have lived in the caves as well, for their feet were carrying them through the rocky outcroppings now. Kesho himself had recently made his home in these same caves, although his was a bit farther into the depths than hers appeared to be. They passed near Kaena's home, and instinctively Kesho's ears swerved to try to pick up any sounds from that place that might tell him she was home. No sounds came, however, and with a slight frown he determined she must have been elsewhere. The ebony Lykoi girl led him into her home and he watched as she shook the light layer of snow off of her coat, sitting on her bed and pulling a large blanket over her body. A quick glance to her fur told him that she clearly was not built for this weather; the strong jackal blood in her made her more adapted to a warm climate. While his fur was not as thick as, say, Gabriel's, it did provide him a bit more insulation than that. Idly, he brushed the remains of the snow off of his fur, as well.

”Sorry for not saying anything before. I wanted to get out of the cold.” the dark girl spoke with a shiver, bringing the carcass towards herself. ”Perhaps you’d like to share this meal with me then, seeing as we were both after the same thing?” she proposed before she began to gnaw on the thing herself.

With a nod and a very slight smile, he politely declined. "No, thanks. I could eat a whole one myself; I'm sure you could, too. I'll just hunt later." In all truth, the man wasn't even that hungry, but the snack would have been nice. She offered to share, though, and that was enough.

The Hastati glanced around for a moment and took a seat for himself, across from her. Red eyes scanned the room, wondering if there might be anything special about it. So far, however, it seemed fairly uninteresting.

Feeling a bit awkward, he attempted to make conversation. "You don't like the cold, hm?" After a brief pause, he added, "My bones don't like it much either, anymore." The cold tended to make his joints ache, although he found that if he remained active and warm enough, the pain was minimal. The man wondered if this girl had thought to wear any human clothes, besides just a scarf. Though he thought them silly and unnecessary, she might be able to tolerate the cold better with such things.

Sepirah could not help that it seemed like she was being a bit rude to her guest. She wanted to say something to the male as he was following her, but she could feel the chill growing so she wanted to get home as soon as possible. She turned her head back to watch the male’s actions just to see how he would react to her. She wondered if he wanted to try and make up with her for what happened during the pack meeting. She wanted to try and figure out why he even ticked her off in the first place. She knew that it was because he did not like her uncle, though she could not understand why. She looked him over carefully before turning her head back and watching where she was going. She finally came to her cave and was so thankful to be back. She waited for the male to step in before she continued.

Sepirah was actually a bit surprised that the male did not take her up on her offer for splitting the meal they were both chasing after. She shrugged for a moment and then began to tear at the hare’s fur. The dark princess could not wait until she could taste the warm flesh in her mouth. She took breaks and looked over to the male. She did not wish to seem rude, but he did decline her offer for some food. Eventually the jackal lowered her figure to the rock base as she looked outside in answer to the male’s question. ”Yes… I dislike the cold very much. It’s especially hard seeing as I was born in such a warm environment.” She stretched out her limbs before looking over to Kesho. ”So, I hear you’re from the old Inferni pack right?”
