Itzal paced back and forth on the edge of the pack. He wondered if they would accept him. He was not use to submitting, he would have to work on it, but he was sure he could learn to cope. He howled into the night to draw the packs attention. It was time to get this over with. He shook with a feeling of excitement and fear mixed. Like anxiety only less nerve racking and more blood rushing.

His ears pricked as he listened for any signs of anyone approaching. He loved hearing the wind as it blew across the land, the smell of the earth. He sighed, remembering the last time he had a good long run, just to feel the earth beneath his paws. it had been to long. But maybe soon, he would have a pack to run with. The thought perked him up some.

Sorry if this is rambling a bit but I need to for SSWM XD. SSWM: 503

Sepirah had really be falling behind on her duties since she had been out trying to make relations better with the other packs. She hadn’t been checking the borders and wasn’t actually greeting the new potential members of the pack to the area. She really needed to step up her game if she ever wanted the open spot in the leadership ranks. She was thankful that it was getting towards the middle of the winter season. This meant that the cold season would soon be over and the dark princess would be able to look forward to some warmer weather. She would also not have to stare at the snow on the ground anymore. Just the thought of the spring time brought up some happiness from the jackal. She couldn’t wait. Aside from the weather, she could also look forward to some more prey wandering around in the pack lands. With winter, most of the prey was harder to find so the pack would have to hunt in larger amounts to satisfy the entire pack. With spring, it’ll be easier for the individual pack members to hunt for themselves. Her mood was blossoming and she was sure there was no one and nothing that could spoil it for her.

Sepirah yawned as she crawled out of her home and began to look around. She wasn’t surprised to see the blanket of snow covering the ground. She stretched out her limbs before wrapping her scarf around her neck and walked along the river. It was still frozen and was likely to be for another couple months. The dark princess pawed at the ice until it broke loose and gave way to some water. It was relaxing and cool to the touch. Although she didn’t like the cold, water always tasted better when it was colder. Once she was done, she turned and began to head for the borders. Because she was behind on her duties, she needed to make sure she was still attending to them or the leaders may not let her higher in the ranks. She sniffed along the borders though was not really picking up the scent of anyone. The snow must have been covering up some of the scent trails in the nearby areas. The jackal let out a soft sigh before she continued along. She kept her golden gaze on the outside of the borders to see if she would spot anyone. The dark girl paused when she saw someone pacing along the borders. It didn’t look like any Inferni member she had seen before, not to mention he didn’t have the sent of one either. She saw his ears pirk up, listening for movement. She smirked and began to head for the male. ”You’re on the borders of the Inferni pack. What business do you have here?” She paused and sat on the inside of the borders. Normally she would want to circle around him, but not until after he stated what he was doing here.

Itzal looked at the jackal and sniffed, catching the scent in the icy air "I want to join your pack." itzal pawwed at the ground, feeling the snow cruch under his feet, making sure he never made direct eye contact with the jackal, he rolled over on his back, exposing his belly, sighing under his breath and thinking to himself that he had better get use to it as he whined softly, tail tucked halfway between his legs.

Sepirah looked over the male as she was waiting for him to give her an answer. His figure reminded her of Gabriel, except jet black. He seemed to look more like a wolf than an actually coyote, but she knew as long as he had part coyote in him then he would be welcomed to the pack. The dark princess slowly rose to her feet as she began to circle around the male. She found this was her typical reaction to any new comer just to see how they would react to her. The male’s action surprised her greatly. She watched him as he rolled onto his back in the snow and folded his tail between his legs. Just what on earth was he doing? If this was the way he was going to act then he would never make it in the Inferni pack. Here you needed to be strong and confident when one presented himself. There was no room for the weak here. The jackal moved down towards his tail and rolled her eyes. She was just going to have to snap him into reality or he was never going to get anywhere, unless of course he wanted to try and enter with some scars.

Sepirah gave a small smirk before she aimed to nip at his tail so he would roll over on his stomach. For one thing he didn’t need to be laying down in the ground. He should have been standing up tall with his tail relaxed behind him. If he moved over onto his stomach, she would move around to his front and look him in the eyes. She narrowed them as she bared her teeth. ”What are you doing laying on the ground? You’ll get no where around her acting like that. Where’s your strength and passion? Do you want to be a part of this pack or not?” The dark princess would then move back to the borders and cross over the skulls. She would not allow the male to follow her though. He was not a member yet and if he wanted to be then he would have to start proving it. Once the jackal was on her side of the wall, she turned her golden gaze back to the male. If she even wanted to continue on believing that he would become a member, she needed to know his skills. She emitted a soft sigh from her lips before she spoke to the black hybrid. ”Well then, if you were to join Inferni, what kind of skills would you be able to lend to the pack?” The dark girl then realized she had forgotten to ask one important thing. She had no idea what this male’s name was and he had no idea who she was. She dipped her head in a bow and flicked her tail. ”By the way, my name is Sepirah Jendayi Lykoi. What’s your’s?” The masked girl waited patiently for him to respond. It was not like she was heading anywhere in a hurry.

Itzal watche the jackal, and as she snapped at his tail he rolled over onto his belly then stood up and growled a little "I have plenty of strength, and i can fight, that is a skill, and hunt, im also stealthy, very stealthy, as well as being very fast and agile." Itzal stopped to think for a second, remember the fights he had been in then snapped out of his daze and stood tall and proud "my NAME is Itzal, and like i said before, i want to join this pack, if it is strength and skill you want to see then i'll have no problem complying with whatever is needed of me" he was frustrated, he hadnt been with a pack for almost half a year, and at his old pack, you sat down and submitted no matter how much you didn't want to, or you fought it out. Now when he did submit he was critized and seen as weak, ugh. Itzal look the jackal over again then looked in the direction the wind was blowing, feeling it blow over him, then looked back at the jackal and stared her in the eye.

Sepirah watched as the male rolled over on his stomach and rose to his feet. This was the kind of attitude she liked to see in the newer members. Standing up to their opponents and proving that they had what it took to become a member. The dark princess’ ears flicked as he mentioned the skills that he would be able to offer. Judging from the skills he claimed to have, it looked like he would do good to become a warrior. Strength and stealth was a powerful combination if known how to be used right. She emitted a soft yawn before the male introduced himself as Itzal. What an interesting name to have. She scratched the back of her ear as he again repeated the skills he could offer. She didn’t need to hear them again, but if he felt the need to do so, then she wouldn’t stop him. The jackal to see Itzal finally looking her in the eyes. She was glad to see that he was finally showing her some eye contact. A smile finally appeared on her face as she turned her whole body around to face him. The dark girl could feel the cold lingering on her paws. It was still early in the day and already she wanted to get back to the warmth of her home. She was sure though that once he was accepted into the pack, she would have to show him around and help him find a place to stay. There weren’t too many places to stay and since it was the cold season, she was sure he would be alright with only seeing part of the pack lands. The masked girl shook her body just the get some of the snow off her rear before taking the action to get him accepted.

Sepirah stepped back a bit and moved her head up towards the sky. Because the leaders didn’t seem to be around, as was typical of the times she welcomed new comers, she would have to call for them so they would be able to give him his title. The dark princess couldn’t wait until she had gotten to a rank where she wouldn’t need the leaders’ permission to welcome new members to the pack. She was sure she would get there one day, but for now she would have to bother the leaders just to let someone into the land. As tedious as it was, she knew it was needed. The jackal let out a howl, calling for whichever one was closest. She was sure one of them would holler back to her. Near the end of her howl, she pulled her head back down so her eyes once again met with the new comer. She had to keep an eye on his movements. He would not be allowed in until she had gotten a response from one of the leaders to approve of him joining. As she was waiting, the dark girl stretched out her limbs and laid down in the snow. It was cool to the touch, but it felt good to get off her feet.

Itzal watched the wolf yawn as he introduced himself and a small smirk grew on his face. Glad to know he was boring enough to make her tired. He watched her step back and tensed, then shook himself for a second and watched as she howled. He listened to the smooth sounds of it. It was familiar but distant to him. He was much user to being a loner, so hearing another animals howl usually meant he was in trouble, or they were hunting up all the game around him. Either way, he had missed the sounds somewhat, and it was nice to know she wasn't calling the pack to attack him. At least his best guess is that she wasn't.

He watcher her lay down and then looked away from her and lean down and rub his face in the snow. He LOVED the cold. It relaxed him, and feeling the snow crunch under his feet made him want to run through it and roll in it. He wasn't really a pup, but he still loved the snow. When he could feel the cold go deep down to his bones and seep into him, it made him shiver in excitement. He also loved to run. Feeling the wind in his fur as his legs carried him faster and faster. ugh, maybe he was still a pup, but either way, he was a very grown up pup. Itzal looked back at sepirah and smiled a little. "Sepirah right? Where are you from?" She seemed interesting enough, though he hadn't meant many jackals, especially not one as black as this.

His smile changed to a tiny smirk when he saw her look back down from her howl at him, as if worried he would move. He thought to himself that he probably would have. the coyote-wolf hybrid had a tendency to get in over his head, not that he couldn't get out of it eventually. He thought about the scar he had under his left eye. Yeah, that one had been a bad one, but oh well, he liked the scar, it fit him in a way. He stood up slowly and smiled at the jackal as he moved along the border into the shadows. Once he was in them, he sighed in contempt. " I've always like the shadows better then being in the open light, cause I'm use to being in them to blend in, and I just feel better in the darker areas." Itzal didn't know why he told her this, he just thought she might wonder why he moved like that, even though some of it was to tease her into thinking he was gonna come forward.
