ooc;; for anyone and everyone! i really dony mind how many people join- the more the better!

Life had begun to get a little hectic for the warrior boy. He was no longer a boy, but the recent events with the coyote in the cave system and its swift demise had lifted the man beyound himself. He had been unable to sleep for days and a certain sense of foreboding had settled in his stomach since the event. Unlike most who had been presented with this situation, it was not the unease of killing the coyote that had settled in the mans stomach- it was the incurable need for more. A few days ago he had encountered a coydog at the borders and the want to tear him to shreds had shaken the man. He had never been a murderer, a warrior was all he knew how to be. But he was beginning to feel as though he was floating away and he didnt exactly revel in the feeling. With sleep evading him and his mind running loops around him the young warrior had taken to patrolling the borders late at night to make sure that Naniko was safe in her home.

This evening however had the young warriors feet itching and he felt the need to ground himself more thoroughly than patrolling did. He wanted to feel the pure wolf in his veins instead of the cankerous thoughts that were infecting him. He didnt want to think about the coyote's hot blood racing down his throat and the delicious tear his ear had made when it had been torn from his head. And there was no better way to ground him that a good old fashioned hunt. He remained in his lupus form as he had stealthily herded the large deer herd into Anatheman lands. He had made sure not to spook them into running just yet, laying small scent marks of where he did not want them to go and herding them to the small forest on the slope of the mountain.

Theodore rose above the herd as the tried to graze in the snowy ground. They seemed pretty content right now, but the young man knew there would be chaos in a few moments. In a rare moment of sociable feelings Teddy felt the need to include others in his hunt- wolves traditionally hunted in packs right? Not wanting to startle his carefully guarded quarry, Teddy buried his muzzle in the snow before releasing the howl. It came out muffled and distant- the stag raised his head to check that his family was in no immediate danger before trying once more at grazing. The howl had sounded too far away to be significant to him so he had ignored it. Licking the snow away from his lips Teddy allowed blue eyes to sweep to mountain once more before he settled to wait for help to arrive. Perhaps he would bond with someone over the experiance. It was unlikely, but one could dream...

OOC: Word count: (385) - - Hey ^^ Thought i'd make Alaki socialize alittle :3

Boredom, that was what Key was experiencing. He had woken up early that morning and done everything and anything he could think of, after exhausting all of his options he now found himself alone, sat near one of the entrances to the caves. Looking around, all he could see were the familiar passageways he walked each day now, lined with the scents of those who also lived within the caves. He had been apart of Anathema for a short time and yet he had not really spent time with, let alone spoken to anyone with his own pack. He’d seen them all and adjusted to the presence of every member, familiarizing himself with who’s who and ways to detect who is approaching in the caves. Yet, since being accepted into the family he had holed himself up, occupying himself with tasks that he could complete on his own or wondering outside of the territory.

Shifting to his feet, he rose and quickly stepped out of the entrance he was near. The air was clear and fresh, a change of scene seemed like a good idea and a great way to kill some time. As he sped up to a light run he reached the trees, his dark form bleeding into them, hidden partially away. A dull ache formed in his stomach reminding him that he would need to hunt soon, but he did not have the motivation to act upon his hunger. He quickly left the caves behind him, his small, light lupus form hugging to the trees as he quietly stalked through the grounds.

A muffled howl broke the sound of his running, bringing himself to a stop he concentrated upon the sound. It was near and yet far, muffled somehow. Excitement seared through Alaki and without thinking he took of in the direction of the sound, paws treading lightly upon the ground, making as little noise as possible.

It didn’t take long for him to catch the scent of another and deer, following the scent as fast as he could he ran until he sighted a dark figure up ahead. Slowing his pace down he brought himself closer to the dark one, his mouth clamped shut. He had caught up to the one he was following, but had no idea what to say.

I want Liev on a tier soon, so why not one new thread? Besides, I wanna RP him fighting for the first time here 8DD

Besides the Optime form, the Secui form was Liev's favorite for its raw strenght and unlimited stamina. For being so bulky by nature, this form made him look like a tiger in the pelt of a wolf. For real, he was enormous that way, the muscles clearly visible under the thick fur, where it grew longer as it reached the tip of his limbs, making his paws furrier than usual. Over his shoulder and his neck, the pale blonde mane grew naturally spiked upwards, making him seem even bigger than he already was. The male would still wear his belt, bandana and knife holster.

Trotting around quicker than any wolf or Optime could ever hope to, he smelled for an easy but worthy meal. It's been a while he hadn't hunted anything down. Just some wild rats, squirrels and birds. He was used to little, but when he got to eat back at Russia, food would usually be filled up with fat for a whole week. Here, meal was as thin as it could get, and he needed something in his stomach. Now.

A howl ressounded on the air. It had a weird tune. He noticed how it reminded the howls of victms of avalanches, warning of his or her location under the snow. He was used to such rescue chores, so the gray male could tell it was no regular howl. It was meant to be muffled. Odd...

In a steady race, he went towards it, only halting when the scent of two other Anathemans and a herd of deer was caught on the Russian's nose. He then understood. A smart strategy indeed. Takng note of it mentally, he walked silently and swiftly around the snow, searching for the other pack members.

Finally, he spot the two males. A dark spot and an even darker spot - he reconized to be Theodore, thanks to the blazing blue eyes - were positioned close together. Once the fellow hunters were spotted, the foreign wolf stalked around the herd, careful to don't be seen, smelt or heard, and joinned the other two.

He nodded silently, his belly lingering on the wet cold floor of the forest, since staying low with his size was not so easy. He was about 2 feet higher than them. He looked to the two of them, purple eyes cool and serious. "What's the plan?" He whispered, more of mouthing the words than actually speaking. One of them had called for help. Said someone should have a plan.

Ooc: ooh I totally want to do this! I want Nyx to fight for the first time too.

Nyx had found the caves to her liking as she finally found one that was almost like a double room. They where only linked together by a short tunnel no longer than a few feet. The items that she had brought with her she began to unload and get comfortable in her new surroundings. The supplies she put onto a wooden desk in the studio space of the caves. Then she began to set up a bed area in the corner of the other room. For this she put down a thick skin of caribou. How she had missed a taste of those creatures because she of coarse couldn't bring down one herself.

Suddenly an idea and an urge came over her. She wanted to make horn earrings and use them in her designs. With her proper tools she could possibly carve into them to even create hilts for swords. the possibilities where endless. She had spent to much time in the caves for one day and longed to be outside in the fresh air. Nyx took off her pack and set it atop her makeshift bed. Then she took off her feather earring and placed in on a simple side table that was only a log. After this she put her hands to the back of her neck and undid the clasp that held on to her labradorite pendant. She caught it and placed it next to the feathers. It was so rare for her to ever be seen without all of her adornments, only her few simply earrings remand in her ears as she began the change into Secui. Nyx desired to shift into her larger, form to feel the energy and strength at it's maximum .Even though she was a much more petite wolf, she was considerably larger in this form, but was not as bulky as most.

Closed eyes, she felt the bones shift as they clicked into place. Her mane became longer with more of it's natural red golden highlights running throughout it to the tip of her tail. Her lean muscles tensed under her now thicker onyx black fur. As the change came to a closing she remembered the last time she changed into Secui. It was to the escape her death. Luckily, this form had worked for her. She felt pure energy run through her now as she tore out of the dark caves of Anathema.

Jet black ears perked with only a few earrings, she heard the howl of Teddy echo through the wilderness. Nyx followed the sound blindly, resting it to her own instinct. Her legs moved with grace and agility upon the soft white earth as she continued to trace the source. Soon enough saw Teddy amongst two other males whom she did not recognize. But she could tell by their scent that they where part of the pack. Now she steadied herself and walked up to them with a soft wag in her tail. Before she spoke she she lifted her chartreuse gaze to the prey and her muscles tensed, then back to the others. "Hey, so are we gonna catch one of these?.. Oh, I'm Nyx de Jinx by the way." she said to the other two males whom she did not recognize.

Yay socializing!

While Larkspur did not often take his lupus form these days, finding hands far more useful for working with his horse and keeping an eye on his kids. Now that they were old enough to explore they had been doing so much to their father’s aggravation, meaning the majority of his time was spent ensuring that they didn’t fall into small holes or get hurt. Today though, he had needed to hunt—the pups were now able to eat meat and this meant he had to bring in more food for the three hungry mouths.

It had been by chance he had caught the younger wolf’s scents as he had stalked the same herd. The boy was smart, and forcing the deer to move where he wanted. Larkspur admired this choice of tactics. While his education was sorely lacking, he was an instinctive creature and behaved as such. Group hunts, as summoned by the howl, would enforce this primal urge and result in a sizeable meal, one much heartier than the tough mountain goats that he had been hunting for so long.

Despite his size, the big wolf was surprisingly quiet. He found the assembled troupe and made his way towards them, identifying the lead by his scent. Scarred legs came to a halt as he motioned to the side of the herd. “Ah’ve been watchin’ them fer a bit. Two does ain’t walkin’ right,” he offered, focusing his orange eyes on the black wolf.

ooc;; excellent guys! thanks for joining!

The thought that he would be alone in this hunt never crossed the mans mind. Although he knew very few in the pack, he was certain that he would not be ignored. The winter had been hard on them all and Teddy himself could feel his build was slighter than it usually was. A whole deer would certainly be enough protein to bulk him out again. But more to the point, everyone else would be looking for food. And two brains, and teeth, were better than one. Teddy knew that a litter had been born not long after they had settled in the underground cave and therefore they would soon be on solid food. Perhaps their mother or father would be searching for something to hunt. The young warrior shook the snow still clinging to his nose off with a soft huff. Though mostly black, the yung mans four black socks and thin stripe down his forehead were in stark contrast. He didnt need more white to make him look so monchromatic.

Blue eyes that made it impossible for the young warrior to be boring caught movement and the grey body of a stranger came to him. The scent was pure Anathema and therefore Theodore deducted that the young wolf had been in Anathema for at least a while. He approached in his lupus form and though there was no smile or friendly gesture, his lack of hostile body language said that he wasn't angry there was another with him. There would never be a smile from the young man, but one knew they were either liked or appreciated when there was no aggressive move made towards them. Especially since the grey man approaching was in fact a man- they usually got the brunt of Teddy's anger. He said nothing, not even to introduce himself or ask his name. Familiarity with the hunting party was key.

"Theodore Stone..."

He stated very simply, hoping the grey man was not a little slow and realised that he wished for the others name in return. He didnt have long to wait however as the paler grey and white body of a man he knew at least a little better came trotting up. A frown etched on his lips as Liev approached in his larger secui form. The brutality of the coyote's murder had made the young warrior want to ground himself and a good old fashion hunt in their most natural forms was something that Teddy was keen on today. As the ex-commander approached Teddy met his purple gaze with a slightly more accepting, though no where near friendly, expression. He was glad the male had turned up, but there was no way on earth he was going to admit that to him. Words came from the large male and Teddy glanced back at him.

"We'll see how many are interested, then we'll figure it out from our numbers"

Came his cool answer- not friendly but also not hostile either. Of course, that was the moment when another dark form came towards them and Teddy saw that it was Nyx. Another he knew, but also another darker coloured wolf. Interestingly she also settled in her secui form- had these two lost faith in their basic instincts? Did they need to protect themselves with a larger body and more threatening appearance. If they couldn't bring down a deer in their lupus form, Teddy felt a little ashamed for them. Still, as she approached her youthful voice came and Theodore was reminded that the female had not yet reached a year old. Though old enough to advance through their ranks and now techinically an adult, she was still very young. And therefore he shouldnt have been surprised by the obvious question she asked. Of course they were here to take one of them down... was she a little slow in the head. Instead of allowing his indignation at the stupid question come out verbally he allowed a soft nod of his head. Blue eyes returned to the deer, but were distracted as another figure approached.

Black also with glowing gold eyes and a few splashes of white on him, the last male to arrive smelt older than any already here. He recognised him as Larkspur though Theodore had never spoken to the elder man. He had just had pups with the sable woman. So he'd been right about at least one of them attending. His accent was thick as he spoke, offering a useful insight on two doe's that Teddy had only half noticed. When carefully driving the herd back towards Anatheman land he had tried to spot out the weakest. He'd seen one weak doe and two or three sickly looking foals that had obviously been born a little late in the year. The five of them were too large a group to simply go for one- they could easily split into two groups and bring down two deer for the pack. Now that they had settled, Teddy allowed cool blue eyes to sweep over the two attending in their secui forms.

"I'd like this to be a nice, traditional hunt. No advantages by the way of extra height or strength. Liev, Nyx, shift to lupus. Now, Larkspur here has spotted two weaker deer who'll be our targets. Liev, Nyx and Alaki will take the larger of the two doe's. Larkspur and I will go for the smaller. Larkspur, you will go for the hamstring and I will go for the throat. Liev's group may organise yourselves as you please, but something along the lines of legs and neck will make a clean kill. Stay low to the ground and those with dark fur try and keep at least a little covered by the snow. Liev and I will come round the back of the deer and drive them this way- the rest of you stay hidden until the back end of the herd get close. Liev, you swoop round to the right and hide yourself in the trees. I will take the left and keep in the mountains. We'll come round the back and drive them this way. Understood?"

While Teddy did not want to demand that this is what they do, the young warrior was not one for politeness. He and Liev would make their way to the back of the herd and drive them this way. When they had the two doe's in sight, Teddy would go for his and Liev was sure to go for his own. The three left in the ambush would have to act fast to get to their prey and help Teddy and Liev. With a hard nod at the group, Teddy cast one glance at Liev before moving to the left hand side and up into the mountains. He had to move a little quicker so that he and Liev would arrive at the rear of the herd at the same time. Moving over the rocks and small valleys in the mountains, he glanced back once to make sure Liev had headed for the forest before he focussed. This hunt would be suucessful if they managed to drive the herd in the right direction and the three left behind were on the ball to assist their respective leaders. He hoped it all went smoothely.

Sorry about the delay. Totally forgot about this @_@

He shifted a little, feeling awkward and out of place. After locating the male, who had introduced himself to be Theodore, three others arrived responding to the black male’s call. As each canine arrived, they had introduced themselves; Liev the pale one, then Nyx who bore a dark coat, soon followed by another dark male. Each one was pack; he knew that much from their scent, but aside from their names he knew nothing of them. It worried him that he would be hunting with complete strangers; wolves who he did not trust. But the thought of sinking into the deer was to intoxicating; he wanted to hunt, he needed to hunt. And no amount of paranoia and suspicion was going to stop him.

Looking around to each of the gathered wolves it occurred to Key that he had yet to introduce himself. Feeling foolish for not having realized this sooner he finally got around to introducing himself. “I’m Alaki by the way” he said quietly. Lowering his head a little, ears flattening back against his head.

Stepping back from the others, he choose to keep to himself; not entirely sure what to do or what to stay. By doing so he could observe the others and follow their lead. The dark one; the one whose name he did not know mentioned two injured does, whom may very well now be the prey of the small hunting group. A small grin tugged at his lips at just the thought of them. He noted the information and continued to watch and listen to the group.

The next to speak was Theodore, who briefly described the course of action the group was to take. He was assigned to the group taking down the larger doe; alongside Liev and Nyx. The plan was simple; Liev and Theodore were to move around to the back of the head and lead them to the rest of the group, when the deer arrived they were to aim for the legs and throat. Simple, clean and to the point; he liked it.

He nodded to Theodore to show he understood his role. The hunt had just begun; soon he would be running, attacking and tasting blood. Soon.

I was almost skipping you, sorry x.x

More wolves joined them, and Liev began to study the two does the last one to come had mentioned. The black male was just one year younger than him, but it really didn't matter. A female that came was also in her Secui form, but wasn't as big as him.

Finally, Theodore decided it was time to act, and his ears shifted towards the black wolf. When he mentioned an old-fashioned hunt, the Rusian needed no orders, and began t shift to his lupus form. Though a bit skinner and far less bulkier than his hafling form, it was still pretty tough and strong. Even through his shifting, the man had full attention at the Dasa, and he understood his idea. The good old pincher movement. A nice approach, and it never gets old.

He nodded his head as the other indicated him as a leader of one of the groups. When the warrior turned around, he whispered to Alaki and Nyx, whom had introduced theselves earlier, though rather sheepishly; especialy. In a quick review in the built of the duo, he made out a plan " Alaki, Nyx, you two hide with a decent space between your spots. Just a yard or two. I'll chase the doe into that space. Alaki, you make a faint attack at the deer, but just the enough to stun her. Bluntly, you can even headbutt her. Nyx, while the doe is overwhelmed, you go for the throat, ad make sure you don't let go. I'll go for the hind legs and make sure it doesn't escape. Alaki can then go for the fore legs or the throat as well. You choose. Now go." He explained as quickly and clearly as he could.

Once he was done, the gray man took off his overloose belt to avoid it getting stuck in a random branch and raced to the opposite way Theodore had gone. Purple eyes gazed into the woods, searching for the selected prey. Once found, he locked his bold eyes in the creature, not losing track of it a single second, and quickly trotting around the herd, making the best of efforts to don't get caught.

Once behind the herd, he located Theodore, a dark lurking shadow on the trees, only betrayed by his bright blue eyes. For the briefest moment, he searched for his small team, and once they were located, the Russian male gave a quick nod towards the fellow hunter. It was about to begin.

OOC: Here it goes!

As the others joined, she realized that she was the only female and a smaller one at that. Still, this did not mean that she was a foul hunter. Instead of counting on strength so much, she relied on cunning and observation. But this time she would be hunting with a group and she felt tense with anticipation. Her dark fur lengthened in her secui form as she felt stronger than that of the lupus form.

When Teddy nodded to her, she felt rather foolish for her comment. Dark ears whipped flat to her skull for a brief instant as they waited for the others to join and count there numbers. Amongst these members of the new pack, she felt obligated to prove to them that she deserved respect. Also because she was the youngest one out of the bunch, not even a year yet. Nyx justed nodded back and listened further to the other males. Larkspur spoke and Nyx recognized him as Eris's mate. Eris had told her that she had recently had pups with him and they must be in need of the meat. They all where in need of a good meal, to gain more bulk and strength. Even as petite as Nyx was she was thin herself. The parts of the animal where also desirable to her, such as the hoves, skin and gut. They would supply a use in her craft.

Nyx cast her chartreuse gaze to the two does that Larkspur was talking about as Teddy spoke of the plan. They looked a bit sickly and where not keeping up well with the herd. When Teddy told Liev and herself to change to lupus, Nyx looked down. It was not that she didn't trust her natural instincts in her lupus form but she was even smaller. She didn't argue though, Teddy was lead warrior and she respected him. Her red highlighted mane on her back shortened as she felt herself lower into lupus. Now, Nyx was at her smallest form but still she held strength and speed she had used to survive alone. After Teddy was done with the orders she nodded in understanding. She had the idea and vision in mind, this could defiantly work. But she would make sure to stick to the cover of the trees.

She then looked to Liev and Alkai, the two fellow pack members she would be working with to take the doe down. When Liev spoke in a whisper, she listened intently to him- dark ears littered with a few earrings perked. She nodded, liking the idea that she would get the throat. “I won't let go,” Nyx said fluidly with a smile playing upon her lips. As Liev took off in a quick run, Nyx followed silently behind him, staying closer to the shad of the trees in attempted to shadow her coal colored form. Abruptly she stopped behind one of the larger trees so that it completely covered her, she poked her face from behind the tree. Her chartreuse eyes quickly spotted the limbing doe, the one that her group was assigned to. Without lifting her gaze, she gestured to Alaki to join her at the tree next to hers. Now all she had to do was wait for Liev to attack first, in the chase and then Alaki to attack. As the creature was disorganized, she would go for the throat. She looked to Liev then and gave a small nod to indicate that she was ready and in position.

A bit short but I figured we should keep this moving ^^;

The blue eyed wolf spoke with authority, as was his right for calling the hunt. Larkspur remained ever silent as he listened to the commands. It was within him to follow those who had such rights—Haku, for instance, had earned his respect. He was not made to lead, but when those above him were weaker…well, he had proven his insubordination while in Dahlia. A short nod was all the response given and then he had crept off into the snow. While most of his fur was pitch black, the scattered bits of white did well to mask his shape as did the snow that clung to his guard hairs.

Crouched low and out of sight, the orange-eyed male waited in the snow-cover and in silence. When the signal came in a flurry of hooves and bleating warnings, he would strike.

ooc;; thank you everyone for being so quick to respond! <33

The quick glance back had told him that Liev had made his way into the woods as instructed. It also ensured that the remaining three wolves were hidden- he say Nyx head to the trees and signal for Alaki (as he was named) to a tree close by. Larkspur appeared to stay were the group had very joined, a smart move from the black man. If they had all headed for the tree side of the slope, there would be no-one to control the other side. As if was, Larkspur had covered that angle by hunkering down into the snow and staying where he was. Teddy was tempted to stop and watch as his hunters melted into the snow, but there were more pressing matters to attend. Giving a final nod in Larkspurs direction, Teddy faced front again and set off over the mountains.

It didnt take him long to move over the rocks and over the tiny valleys the mountain threw at him. As it was they hadn't been a very long way away from the herd in the first place. So it took him less than five minutes to reach the back of the herd. Blue eyes watched Liev's light grey form move through the trees- he was easier to spot in the trunks that Theodore had been amoung the boulders. They had both come to a stop, waiting for the other to make his appearance before they started to move. Teddy revealed himself first, causing a bleat from a spindly looking fawn. It was what he wanted but the irrational reflex to growl at the young animal for blowing his non-existent cover.

Eye contact was the only signal Teddy sent the Russian wolf. And then he was off- throwing his head back in a full howl that shocked the stag and spurred them into motion. The few at the back looked around in bewliderment before they spotted the dark and light wolves just behind them. Teddy flashed his fangs before making a nice and easy lope towards one of the fawns. It wasnt his target, but it was always nice to get the does defensive before they started running. Teddy knew not to go for the strong fawn- they were the future of the herd and the potential meals for them once they were older. However, his mind was distracted once more as the whole group began to move.

As predicted, the two does they targeted were straggling near the back. Larkspurs judgement had been good. Teddy focussed on the smaller of the two as he and Liev drove them back the way they had first come. It was easy once they were moving- they just coursed through the snow like a fast running river. In the few moments Teddy took to realise they had reached the hiding wolves he lunged for the smaller of the two deer. Large jaws caught the animals neck and he plunged to the ground with the deer kicking and squealing in his wake. Larkspur would have to move quickly to get to the deers legs before Teddy was seriously injured.

Lightly treading across the blanket of snow, he found his way over to the tree near Nyx and lowered himself down into the cold slush; covering himself with as much snow as possible to hide his darker coat, if only a little. A dark ear twitched, picking up the sound of movement; his pale blue eyes scanned the area around him, his body becoming tense and alert. The sound reached him again and this time it was soon followed by the deer breaking through to where he and the others were hidden. His role was clear; to stun the larger of the injured doe then go for the legs.

He waited patiently until the doe was within his range; when it was he kicked of and ran at it. His shoulder, soon followed by the rest of him collided into the larger target. He stumbled back; struggling to regain his footing for a moment, then looked towards the doe. He’d completed his task; he just hoped the others managed to do so as well.

I tried to make it smal, but I couldn't. SORRY!

Everyone was in place. Silent signs and short nods were given, each of them pointing to be ready for the hunt, and in all the sets of eyes, Liev could see they were going for the kill, no matter what. Not he expected anything less than that; he himself couldn't wait to put some tasty meat inside his belly and be assured others did the same.

A single nod from the pitch black male not far away from him triggered it all. As soon as the sprint on the other's leg was released in the shape of a swift run, the Russian's limbs reacted the same, starting the chain reaction. The absolute aim he had on the large doe wasn't lost not even a second, but he made sure o give a faint growl to any deer that stood on his way. Once the path was clear, strong, touch legs sprinted in a crazy run to catch up with the limping doe. He wanted to keep her attention in him, and him alone, until Alaki fullfilled his role to stun the prey. The more unexpected the action became, the longer the stupor it would cause the prey.

In a flash of dark grey, the stalking wolf jumped out of the trees it was hiding, throwing his full body weight against the racing creature, both losing their balance, the doe even more. Her knees made awkward shapes thanks to the sudden impact and the weak limbs, her huge, black eyes overwhelmed with fear and confusion.

In a jump, he went for one of her legs, barely missing it in a sudden movement. Not it didn't troubled him. A heavy hoof found its way to his cheek bone, stomping harshly in search for a safe spot to rest. Sharp pain dulled the harmed side of his face, but no overly serious damage taken, thanks the gods. Just a minor cut and a sore cheek.

All that was left was for the others to do their jobs and finish the creature.

OOC: Rawr <3!

Nyx sat perfectly still as snow left a pleasant dusting upon her dark coat. Chartreuse gaze remained on the larger doe as she heard Alaki slide into place behind the tree next to her. She focused on her breathing now and concentrated, ignoring her own hunger. She could almost taste the sweet iron in her mouth. For now the female waited for the hunt to unfold and the right moment to go for the death strike.

Nyx watched the two males take off in perfect rhythm as her muscles tensed, ready for the moment. It happened in almost seconds - Liev parted the other deer in his wake as the doe ran, keeping her focus on him. Running for her life was all this doe had left, but it wasn't enough. Then Alaki came into view, covered in snow, and slammed himself into the doe. Disoriented and startled, she tried to limp forward - away from her fate. As the grey and dark male had done there job with pension it was her turn.

A black bullet parted the snow from behind the tree as Nyx found herself in motion towards the deer. The doe appeared to be failing it's limbs as it hit Liev in the lower jaw. Nyx did not stop in her dash but prayed he was alright. As she was within 5 feet she released a snarl as she located the throat. She released the death strike and sprang into the air jaws wide open. Her canine teeth logged themselves into the wind pipe, with a hard smashing of bone. The sweet metallic taste seeped down Nyx's lips and onto the bitter white snow. The doe gave a loud grunt sound as it reverberated in her now torn throat, spitting blood out. A flailing hove launched outward and hit Nyx's side, bruising her own rib. She almost gasped with pain as her eyes flashed, but she continued to clamp her jaws down harder. She wouldn't let go doing her best to subdue the pain with her own will as she felt the power of the creature beginning to fail.

Every day, the cycle of life and death played out. It was no different here. Panicking deer bleated and ran through the snow, spindly legs aiding them in its depth when they stumbled. The wolves hunted those who were weak, for even they understood that the strong had to survive. Larkspur had lived with this concept his entire life, even before his family had sent him to die. Anathema was only a pack to him, but there was an instinctive desire within the wolf to live with others. He could not survive alone. His children would not survive alone.

From the snow a flurry of motion came in gray and black fur, two wolves going one way while the third went another. Larkspur found his goal on the ground, flailing wildly. He leapt onto her haunch, his weight enough to hold her from rolling, and closed his jaws around the fatty muscle that controlled those kicking hooves. He tugged at it roughly, ripping motion from her good hind leg as blood began to stain his white-brushed face.

ooc;; once again, you guys are amazing!! <33333

Sharp canines had plunged into the doe's neck, slicing as though through butter. His teeth blocked the flow of blood for a moment before the puncture marks became larger, then to coppery iron taste filled his mouth and nose. It was a good smell but the blood was always a distraction from the meat that he was still attached to. Of course, Teddy hadn't though that sending himself after the smaller of the two imjured deer would be a disadvantage to him- he hadnt accounted for the fact that he was built like a brick shithouse. So when he'd grasped the deer's neck and they had plunged into the snow, he had been a bit puzzled. Still, the struggling mass attatched to his teeth was beginning to tire.

The blinding pain in his leg was ignored but the young warrior knew the deer's sharp hoof had pierced the skin on his hind leg. It was nothing serious, a flesh wound that would be fine when wrapped up. But it angered the black man as he gripped harder around the doe's windpipe. A grunt was given as he saw the second black form plunge towards them- Larkspur was quick to come to Teddy's aide as planned. He didnt have time to look at how the other group were going. The deer gave another squeal as Larkspur got control of its flailing legs and now the could concentrate on actually killing the thing. His grip on the neck wasn't tight enough.

Teddy let go for a fraction of a second, untangling his jaws from the rough brown skin of the deer. It bucked and jerked, but like a vipers strike he reattached himself once more. He could feel straight away that he had a much better hold and the deer gave a final lash of the leg that Larkspur held before its eyes rolled back in its head and it heaved an exasperated sigh as its life left it. Teddy couldnt help the instinct that took hold. With a growl he shook his head vigorously, thoroughly destroying the deers windpipe before he convinced himself to let go. A chuckle almost threatened to take over as he thought how badly he'd wanted to tear the deer apart- he really needed to get in a fight. That or get laid.

"Well done Larkspur... your swiftness was a blessing. You may take the first bit of meat for your children."

He spoke quickly, turning away so that he wasn't tempted to pull rank and ravenously go into the deer. Larkspur had children to look after and those children were the future of Anathema. Therefore, he could have the first cut of meat. It was as simple as that. Instead he looked towards the other group who appeared to have taken the similar attack strategy as suggested. Nyx made a clean leap towards the throat and latched on, recieving a kick to the ribs that must have hurt. Teddy had missed Liev's kick to the face, but he could see the determination with which those three went at the larger deer. His own kill had been successful and it was clear the other doe was going down. If Teddy had been a happier soul, he might even have smiled at this point.

As he fell back, his feet dipped into the snow slightly; his body swaying from side to side due to the temporary loss of balance. It took him a few seconds to refocus; during which the light grey male came dashing in. He watched, still unsteady as Liev went for one of the doe’s legs, getting caught along the side of his face by one of the doe’s hooves in the process. Key mentally flinched; the injury looked like it had to hurt. Shaking his head slightly, he regained his focus and began to patiently wait for a chance to get back into the hunt.

Next up was Nyx, who shot towards the doe, grabbing onto its throat. The other two had succeed in their tasks and now it was his turn again, he kicked off and charged back towards the now flailing doe, his jaw tightening around on of its legs. A first the doe struggled, but as time passed the creature began to move less and less. They were close, just a little more and the doe would be theirs.

The pale man felt a cut open in the cold air, making it hurt worse than before, and the warm blood drip from it down to his cheek and into his mouth, mixing with the one from the doe's leg. Not that he minded it that much; he had had far worse injuries to deal with, in worse situations. He could handle that much.

He noticed Alaki going for another leg, while Nyx did not even loosened the grip on the doe's throath. Soon, it ran more and more tired, and he could feel the movements getting slower and scarcer. The man could almost feel the life leaking off the creature through her wounds.

Quickly enough, the doe gave up and kneeled the forelegs, her ribcase rising up and down fastly, in need for air that couldn't get there anymore, thanks to the obstructed windpipe. Her eyes began to flip closed onger and longer, until, finally, it fell on its side. Still alive, but barely.

Not wiling to torture the doe any further - besides, if the creature uffered too much during its last minutes, the meat turned hard -, he let go of the leg and swiftly went to help Nyx on the throath. With a deep, powerful bite, the Russian noticed only a few protests from the deer, but still too weak to worry about them. In a pity move, he shook the soft flesh of the neck, trying by all means to make it end.

Then, he saw the doe's eyes galnce at him for the last time before they closed permanently, and with a last shake, the pale gray man let go, fresh blood dripping from his muzzle and from the cut below his eye. It was slightly closed, by instinct.

"Well done, everyone. It's done. You guys can have the first cut." He spoke, smiling at the duo in front of him, and bowing once he was done with his small speech. Then, he turned around and raced back to where he had left his belt and ankle holster. Once there, he took the acessories in his mouth, opened the round golden flask and dropped a bit of a yellowish liquor in the snow, rubbing his wounded face in it for a second before closing the flask again and returning to the group. It was a simple antidote, to kill any bacteria that might have sneaked in there. As soon as he was back inside the caverns, he'd care for it properly.

OOC: sorry for getting back late

Nyx's teeth sunk further into the doe's throat as the life faded from her. Her own wound the creature left her had hurt, but she ignored it, putting her main focus into the kill. Underneath the doe, Nyx could tell Alaki had latched on, further tripping the doe. Yet, she still stumbled forward, gripping onto the life that she held onto. The life of her eased out as she lowered herself to the ground on her forlegs. Nyx felt the snow's embrace on her feet as she still held onto the doe's throat. The doe was breathing heavily, trying to take in air through a ruined windpipe - to Nyx doing.

Just as Nyx was about to let go, Liev came to her side. He struck the doe with a powerful clasp of his jaw on the throat, finally the end of her life. It was good that she not suffer, so the body could remain still warm in the harsh winter. She finally let go when Liev gave the doe a good shake and the creature's life returned to where it came. Looking to Liev she noticed the blood by his cheek, and his eye closed. The looked like it hurt, thought Nyx just as her own side started to hurt where she was kicked by the doe in her struggle against the pack.

Nyx gave a low nod to Liev for his speech and courage during the fight as well as to Alkai. She saw Liev take off to get his own supplies he had put down before the fight. As much as Nyx was grateful for having the first bite with Alaki, she wanted to get her own supplies to take some of the animal part to use such as the fur and hooves. “I'll be right back, I need to get my pack. You can enjoy first bite.” She spoke to Alaki as she toke off towards the caves to get her own supplies. While running, her side began to ache. She knew that after this she would have to go home and rest her side a day or two to give it a chance to heal itself. Reaching the caves, she found her knife, belt and jewelry lying on the rock she had left it. She willed her body into Optime form so she could cut it's hide properly. Otherwise it would have been rather messy in lupus. When the process was done, she attached her belt, sash and jewelry. She sprinted back to the kill as her side gave her more pain in her now changed form. As she returned to the kill, she knelt down on one knee and began to cut its hide with her knife.

Struggle, toss, then shudder and silence. Larkspur released the doe almost instantly, tasting sour fur on his tongue mingled with a much sweeter blood. He licked his muzzle and remained a shadow figure on the landscape, oblivious to the other group and their struggle. All that mattered was now ensuring his own gain from the matter, though the gain was not one he would hold long. Snow now dirtied by torn up earth and blood brushed against his paws as he moved to the soft underbelly, ripping and tearing away the coarse fur as the doe gave her final death rattles and the smell of rank bile filled the air.

Ignoring it, the wolf sought the meaty parts of her insides. The liver, the kidneys—the things that were sweetbreads and carried all the nutrients three hungry mouths would need. He ripped these parts up in chunks, swallowed them with hardly a pause to shred the prize, focusing on his task as mindlessly as he had with the hunt. The whole ordeal was not an entirely joyless one, though, and a part of him was glad to know that this pack did not carry weakness as Conor did. It reassured him, and the part of him that still feared what weak-hearted men would do.

Belly full, the orange eyed wolf stepped back and rubbed his face in the snow. It did only so much to clear the blood from his white pelt. “I’ll move what’s left later,” he said to Teddy. “Should be enough t’feed us an’ the pups for a few days.” His children and the others, who while older, still needed their parents to take care of them. In this case, the parent and the pack—Naniko and her sister had brought their children here without fathers. Larkspur snorted bullishly as he considered her other son, wondering if Harlowe had fallen back into his lazy, useless habits.
