wc 379. sorry it's short.

It seemed to the Irish male that the drama that had seemed to unfold in this pack was finally starting to subside. It was a relief. All that silly drama had managed to unfold right after he had gotten here. First it was the deal with the little wolfdog Sky, then there was a fight about someone sleeping with the alpha and that little dog getting upset and starting a fight. Whatever had happened, the male did not know every detail. All he really cared about was that it seemed to evaporate quickly. Jensen wasn't a fan of all the drama. Being around it to much just got annoying. Sure it was fun to watch for a time... but come on. Get over it.

Jensen was wandering Thornbury for the time being. He peered into the bookstore run by Orin but didn't take the time to actually enter. Maybe another day, when he was more interested in seeing what was all in there. Orin, that woman Sky had fought with, she seemed decent. The people here all seemed pretty decent. Though the man had yet to meet anyone he could actually be alright with calling his friend, let alone a good friend. Not that people seemed to have a hard time figuring out why he didn't have all to large of a close knit circle of friends. Don't have to be a genius for that.

It seemed a lot of the buildings around here were unclaimed. Was the pack really that small in comparison to the amount of buildings they had up? Well, that seemed like a bit of a waste but it left lots of room for when people did decide to join or expanded their families. Puppies... kids...he had never been a fan. That fact hadn't changed. The thought made him scoff before he chuckled to himself. The man walked with his hands at his sides. If he had pockets he'd surely have his hands shoved in there. He wasn't wearing his pants today. He didn't feel the need. He wasn't cold. The crimson and white man took his time, not stopping to gawk over things, but he wasn't exactly in a hurry either. He had nothing but time on his hands here. So it seemed.

OOC: yay for initial posts this one sucks though ; ;

Shaw had to change his routine up a bit. He thought Sky would be happy to sleep in today, and he would just get out and stretch his legs. He had to get away from that goat, who always woke him up just by staring at him. As he was leaving Sky’s house, he saw the familiar form of Jensen. He froze for a second, hair on the back of his neck rising, it wasn’t due to anger, but due to the fact he wasn’t sure Jensen knew about the children he almost had. He decided against it. He wanted nothing to do with any type of confrontation today. He had enough of that in last few days. He even learned he’d be a father of his own in a few months time. He was still not sure, but he now had to juggle his duties with taking care of both Orin and Sky. He didn’t mind helping either woman. One was his friend who was carrying his children… and the other was the love he thought he’d never have. He had actually been thinking about asking her to be his mate… and had promised a wedding… from a human’s standpoint.

Jensen!

He said, he’d been with too many women lately it might be good to talk with the two toned male. He moved to Jensen quicker, a hand in the air and a soft smile on his face.

Jensen had dealt with more females in his time here than males. Not that he was complaining or anything, he rather liked the ratio at this point in time. It was just that he was starting to feel a bit...alone on the friend level. He did not expect to be friends with Shaw, who was the only male he had met and the leader as well. It seemed a habit of the dual coloured male running into the female sex more than his own. Maybe it was coincidence. Maybe the pack just had a crazy ratio. Who knows.

The ears of the male perked as a familiar name was called. His own name called by a vaguely familiar voice. Jensen's orange eyes fell to the male in the distance with his hand in the air and Jensen let his head nod once. Shawchert, that's who's voice that was. His head bobbed upwards in recognition to his name before he spoke on his own accord. "Hello, Shawchert. Where are you off to?" Surely somewhere more interesting than here. This town wasn;t overly abundant in activity when it wasn't about drama. The young male took a few strides towards the male but his pace slowed as the taller man approached. Jensen was not short, but Shawchert still stood a foot taller than himself. The man was large, nobody could ever deny that.

Jensen found it amusing that it was nice to not have anything witty to say about the drama or what was happening with the females in the pack. The quiet about it all was pleasing to the ears. When you fed the man nothing to work with, he was left with no comments. This left Jensen in a friendlier, less quick-tongued mood than one would usually find him.

"This little town you have, it's pretty decent. The way it is set up is...quaint." He said it with a relaxed tone and genuine meaning. He was not poking fun. He meant those words.

Shawchert quickened his pace a little bit to catch up with Jensen. At the question… Shaw had to ask himself the same thing. When he couldn’t think of anything Shawchert shrugged.

No where in particular. A nice walk is needed I suppose. How have you been lately? Settling in ok?

he said. It was the best answer the large male could give. He didn’t feel like he should stay in, and it seemed a nice enough day. As he moved next to Jensen he commented about the town. Shaw shrugged, it was not really his… and he didn’t make it.

Well the humans will have to be thanked for that much at least I suppose.

He said, figuring that the design for this type of village was strange. Yet it somehow fit. They were a strange pack, and now they had a strange town. He knew they had strange members too. Looking over at Bangle’s hut… Yes they had quite a few strange things in this place.

What brings you over to this quaint little town?

He asked. He hadn’t seen Jensen here before, and it seemed from the man’s reaction to the town itself it might be his first visit here. Then again some canines did surprise him.

Shaw moved over to Jensen's side like he had something important to say. He would have guessed by the way he called over and moved to his side quickly that there would have been something a bit more interesting to say coming out of the leaders mouth. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. He just asked him if he was settling in alright and told him he was just going for a walk. Thrilling Shaw, thrilling. "Well it seems your life went from crazy as hell to dull as a dead mouse in no time flat, doesn't it?" He chuckled softly to himself. He wasn't trying to insult him, just an observation from the Irishman. "I'm settling in just fine. This place isn't half bad."

Shaw then went on about how he should thank the humans and Jensen shrugged his shoulders. Whatever, he wasn't going to thank those dead humans for this. They had built it for themselves, not them. They just took advantage of what was left behind. He had nothing to thank them for. Shawchert then proceeded to ask the younger man what brought him into town and Jensen snorted. Did he pay attention to what happened in the pack at all? "I live in this town. I'm here all the time Shawchert. Good job on knowing where your members are." Jensen chuckled with a light smirk on his face as he began to walk at a slow pace once again.

Jensen glanced back at the taller male and his burnt eyes studied him for a moment. He wasn't going to ask how Sky was doing. He didn't give a damn about how she was doing. He just wanted to shove it in her face that he knew what she had been hiding from him. The thought made him scoff mentally and grimace. She had tried to keep it from him and it hadn't worked. He was done dealing with that woman.

Shawchert couldn’t help but laugh at the man’s comment, it was entirely true, but he didn’t think it was a bad thing… not at all. Quiet was always welcome to Shawchert.

Well It’s better than some things, I am actually glad things have calmed down. I am glad that you are settling in well. I like to know my pack mates are content.

Shaw said, though he still was sore that Jensen and Sky had mated together, he couldn’t blame the man fr it either as he’d done the same with Orin… and he had no way of knowing if Sky had let Jensen know she’d been pregnant at all, so he was not going to pass judgment on the man for that either. Shaw’s face reddened… it was true he had not been paying as much attention as he should have…

My apologies, I have been… rather busy as of late. I promise to be a bit more perceptive from now on.

He smiled wider at the man for a second then let the grin drop a bit. He was not entirely sure what to do or to say now… the big brute was at a loss for words as he was rarely in the company of a male. It just seemed awkward really… he did remember the man played violin too, and wondered if he would hear that very interesting instrument again.

I was thinking that sometime in the spring we might have a small performance, possibly you would like to throw in your talent? We could always use a man of your talents.

This was the first he’d verbally discussed that of a performance. One that could possibly be their first. Though… it would be late spring before they could do that because he knew he’d have to get everyone together… tell them what he had in mind and hope that some people would like the idea of it.
