Briskly he manoeuvred from one protruding boulder to another, making his way swiftly along the mountain terrain. Every now and then he would alter his course to pass around a tree but generally he kept in a straight line, making his way towards the Pictou river. He dark hair bounced against his back in time with his jumps; he'd nearly forgotten to tie it up before leaving and most likely would have if he hadn't snagged it on one of the tunnel walls back in the howling caverns. Having long hair was inconvenient, but he found himself unable to get his hair cut, as that would mean either allowing someone to approach him with a sharp weapon or attempting to do so himself. He wasn't going to let anyone near him with a sharp object and he had no faith in his own skills, hence the long hair.

Remembering the howling caverns; his home, he frowned. He did not like leaving it one bit, especially after seeing Selene like that, it was killing him to be away from her, as soon as he'd stepped out of the cave system he had felt compelled to turn back, to return to watching her, making sure she was okay. Yet, in his mind something was screaming how unnatural that desire was; he and Selene were nothing to each other, just two wolves in the same pack. What right did he have to interfere in her life? None. He was so confused and he knew his moody swings were getting bad again, but he'd decide to put off his own problems, simply because they scared him. No one wants to talk nor think about whether they are insane now do they?

Concentrating on why he had to leave was all that fuelled him to keep going, it was also the same thoughts that fuelled him to push himself to his limits; to keep moving, faster and faster. Images of Selene's slit ankles flooded his mind and the anger burned within him, he would protect her. He may be too weak right now but he'd fix that and protect her, even if that meant protecting her from herself.

After much internal debating he had concluded his greatest weakness is his optime form; he did not know or have experience in fighting in his two legged form. To fix this he had left to acquire a weapon which he could wield in his optime form and he'd ask one or two of his fellow pack members to work with him until he was efficient with it; only if he couldn't find enough sorry intruders to practice on that is.

A likely place to look would be Millstone village or around there. Humans were once there so he hoped to discover something. Pausing he Sat on a larger boulder, catching his breath. As his muscles begin to relax, they throbbed and twitched. At the rate he was going he'd destroy his own body before he could protect anyone.

I got a burst of muse for this xD <333 wc 471

Wandering away from the Valley was starting to become a bad habit for the young Djose woman. As of late wandering out of the borders souly on the level of curiosity was becoming more and more common of an occurance. The paws carried her in all directions. Even though the trips only lasted for a few hours at a time Tala would feel bad about leaving the borders for days after. Her curiosity burned for a large expansive knowledge of what surrounded the pack. Who, why were they there. what did they do? Tala had no know. Patrolling the borders was not neglected even on the days she did find herself out of the lands. She would do it before or after she returned. Ignoring her duties to her pack family was never an option. No matter what she was doing for the rest of the day. Her pack was top priority.

Millstone Village. A name she had heard on the wind. It had been spoken but by who she could not recall. The name intrigued her, the possibility of what such a place held had her brain circling every little aspect her imagination could throw at her. It had driven her this far out of the pack lands today for the soul purpose of exploration. Feet fluttered across snow and her body moved with grace. Her wounded leg was healing quite nicely. Though running was still not an option for the fae, the wounds would tear open again if she dared the simple task, she found walking less painful than in previous days.

Tala had found a perch on a set of weathered stone steps. They lead to a building with a broken door and rotted windows. The building still stood, but the roof sagged as if depressed with it's appearance. There was a small book in her soft snow hands and she was flipping through the item with the weak spine threatening to give. Her amber eyes would dart from word to word like it was revealing to her the darkest of life's secrets.

The air was quiet, it carried little noise. The winter birds would occasionally call out in speech that made her ears twitch. She had learned lowspeech from Twila, a young girl from the Valley. The birds would talk about cold and food, feathers and nests. It was quite interesting, to say the least.

Tala's eyes watched the sky as she heard the predatory call of a predatory bird. The raptor circled a large area overhead and Tala's eyes fell to admiration. The bird was white as snow. Mesmerizing. A falcon of some sort she did not recognize. Her heart was instantly set on studying the creature. She wanted to know everything about it. Maybe in a book in this Village she would find some answers.

Here we go my lovely <33

Wisps of white breath puffed out from him as he approached Millstone village with laboured breathing. He’d made it there with record time but all his muscles were aching, to back him up a muscle in his leg throbbed and twitched. Deep down he knew he was a fool to force himself like he had, but he did not want to be away from his home, from her. Every moment he was, his mind was full of worry for her. Hopefully he’d find a suitable weapon within the village, if not then this trip would have been for nothing.

All around the landscape in front of him was snow, recently more and more had been falling, heck, to top it off the winds had also been picking up swell. Being surrounded by the white space made him shudder; it looked so empty and dead. “I am seriously starting to hate this snow” he muttered, a shiver breaking loose across him as a blast of cold wind hit him.

Looking around at the structures he noted that the village wasn’t particularly advance, having only cabins, barns and similar buildings. It seemed devoid of technology. “Darn, will I actually find anything here?” he questioned the air.

Moving forward between the rural buildings, he took a deep breath in and picked up the scent of another. Who? Freezing in place, his head turned, scanning all around him for the other wolf, but he saw nothing. Frowning he took in the scent again and froze. And huge, childish grin fixed itself to his face, “Seriously?” he whispered with excitement. Looking around again he spotted his prey sat on some stone steps, slightly out of view. From the looks of things, his prey had yet to see him which meant the game was on!

Still grinning, he slunk behind one of the buildings, staying downwind so that she would not scent him and keeping low so that she would not see him. Slowly, but surely he made his was, no, stalked his way towards the prey. A few more paces and the creature would be his.

In a quick movement he jumped forward, carefully scooping the female up into his arms and whispering “Boo!” into her ear; making sure he held her securely and in a way that did not hurt her, the way princess were carried in the human children books. It took a second to secure his hold and then he spun her around, laughing out with pure joy as he did so. Slowing his spinning down he stopped, breathing heavily and still laughing.

“What are you doing here, little Tala?” he teased her.

<33 Yay :3

Tala was content in the quiet. It left her to collect her thoughts with little to no distraction. Being away from the pack lands tended to bring her mind down to guilt for leaving the borders unchecked for the meanwhile.... though her mind needed more supplement than what those borders could carry for her. The need to learn, the explore and walk lands she had yet to chart was wanted, no, needed by the dappled fae. It had been her life for as long as she could remember and giving up the habit was like taking the heroin away from an addict with no easing them off. Cold turkey, it never ended well.

The wind was blowing against her face, it kept the hair sprouting from her head against her shoulders an back rather than falling into her face. The snow was blinding if the light hit it on just the right angle, the mounds, mountains of the white blanket was beginning to overstay it's welcome. It had for weeks now it seemed. Spring and Summer would not come soon enough. Tala let out a soft, content sigh as she brushed some snow off of the step beside her with her white hands. This place was peaceful. Quaint and stuck in history... she liked it.

There was a small noise behind her, what it was she could not place. Her head turned to check but it was too late. There were arms on hr, lifting her up like an old princess and it was a blurr of dark fur until she heard the voice. Alaki? What on earth was he doing here? Tala couldn't help but laugh as her body turned to look at the mle with a big grin. "Alaki! How have you been?" She was beaming, seeing a friend here was the last thing she had expected. If she had more to her tail than a stub it would have been wagging like mad below her.

Sorry for the suckiness, i killed my muse >.< But i didn't want to leave this longer so forgive me *puppy eys*

Dark ears listened to the female as she asked him how he’d been and he filed the question to reply to later. Plotting first, answering questions later.

He took in a few deep, long, breaths, his arms still wrapped around the smaller female. Pausing, he looked down at her with a devilish grin whilst he internally debated what other pranks he could pull on her before he got in trouble. As soon as he had seen her, he had decided that he would make a game out of winding her up, his actual reasons for coming to the village temporarily forgotten.

Meeting Tala here of all places was, if anything, unexpected. Over his life time he encountered a fair few canines and never really took a liking to any, but Tala was different. Without realizing it he had opened up to and trusted the female from one …unusual encounter, which sounded ridiculous and unbelievable even to him! But that was what had happened; one encounter and he had found himself a friend, something he never thought he would have, want nor need. Yet, he had Tala, he enjoyed her company and she was the only one he could really talk to.

White teeth revealed themselves slightly as his grin widened and then he was laughing again. His body shaking with it; his grip on her slipped a little and he almost dropped her. Temporarily containing his laugher he lowered her down carefully, moving his now free hands to his hips and striking a super hero pose, his eyes twinkled with mischief, daring the female to make a comment on it. To add to the pose he leant over slightly, bending at the hips and bringing his face close to her and raising one eyebrow.

“Have you not heard?” he asked, his voice deadly serious. “I’ve taken over the world and blown up a few planets” he continued, his voice remaining dead serious and his expression following suit. Looking at Tala he tried to keep eye contact. He tried, his eyes remaining fixed, staring at her until he could no longer keep a straight face. Stepping back and falling to the ground he let out a roar of laughter, his arms wrapping themselves around his stomach.

“Sor… Soh.. Sorry, Sorry” he mumbled out between burst of laughter “Couldn’t resist…” he giggled to her, his eyes looking up at her, still sparkling with mischief.

Pressing a hand against the floor, he rose back up, moving around so that he could partially block the cold wind from hitting Tala. Once satisfied he was blocking atleast some of the wind, he executed a stiff bow. “Oh all mighty Tala, I have been mighty good. How about you?” he teased.
