It had nearly been a month since Denali’s disappearance, her adoptive brother could have been anywhere. She had looked for him once, though could not really find him, even with the help of Tala. So she headed in the direction of two packs that were possible. She’d heard that Malachi, Denali’s friend lived near the newer of the two pack lands, but she didn’t think he went there, but she had to try. Amata was in the forest now, thick with the branches of dormant trees and the needles of the pines that scattered throughout the forest. She was not being that quiet, though she saw no reason to unless she was hunting, in which case she was not. Not in the way she needed to be quiet. She called out Denali’s name a few times but only a few as she moved closer and closer to the Dahlian borders, what if he took refuge in that pack? She wonder and took it upon herself to start heading that way.

It took her longer than she’d expected, but she was hoping for some good results. So at the border of the pack lands itself she was hesitant. What if this was for nothing? What if she found he didn’t stay here for the winter? Her mined eased herself, thinking… it was one less place mother would have to look if she ever started a search. Taking a deep breath she sang to the sky, her howl was not the most used ability she had, but when she did howl, it always meant something. Standing near the boarders, she hoped, preyed and wished she would have some kind of luck finding her adoptive brother. Any hope that he was alive even. If he’d stayed there for the storm, that would be enough for her to breath easy, but she was expecting a lot, and she had to be ready for the worse, which was that they did not even know how he was.

The bandage still lingered upon the forgetful males head. Against stern warnings against him being out and answering calls and or patrolling the borders from Conor he was doing just that. The male with memory issues couldn’t stay in one place for long and he needed to be out for a bit today. All in all it was probably a bad idea, the male wandered around Dahlia finding himself lost most of the time, unable to locate himself among the forested out lines of the territory.

For awhile he wasn’t worried about it, figuring he’d wander around until he found his way home. But soon enough he was utterly lost and the act of trying to remember where he was brought his headache back. The dark gray behemoth was never one to worry about his own personal safety but maybe now he should have taken Conor’s objections into consideration. It was all very taxing and his fragile mental state wasn’t taking the stress very well.

Then an unfamiliar howl rose up to greet his ears. Truthfully anyone howling lately would be considered unfamiliar, but it brought a direction to head in. Maybe someone was looking for the lame brained idiot and calling for him in a direction. It made sense to his headache plagued mind; it was easier to follow a voice right now than it was to make a decision on what path to follow.

Finally his massive frame walked through the brush and out toward a unseen barrier. He gathered it was the edge of Dahlia he was walking to, and the scent on the wind hinted that someone not from his pack was calling. It was a bit disheartening to him, this wouldn’t help him get back home. Those blue orbs of his searched out the caller before settling on a marvelous site for his stressed eyes. The female was truly an elegant form to greet his weary eyes and he couldn’t quite shake loose his silent adoration for the female. She looked stressed and instantly he forgot about his woes for the moment to find out what she called for.

“Bonjour Madam, I am Saluce, how can I help you?” of course such a greeting was purely formal, for the male really was in no shape at all to help anyone. The bandage on his head had been recently changed but the wound still carried hard truths. One, above his right eye he’d never look the same, the scar would linger from tip of the eyebrow to the crest of his head, and two he’d never remember everything that had went on since he had arrived at Dahlia. Most likely he’d suffer from headaches the rest of his life from the injury but all that wasn’t at the forefront of his mind. What was, was there was a pretty lady in front of him who seemed like she needed something and he was a sucker for pretty ladies.

WC: 277 OOC: Hopefully we can make this thread last a bit Big Grin

She didn’t expect anyone to come from the direction that Saluce had come, and she did not expect one who seemed to be injured. Her healers heart nearly took over and she almost started asking him medical questions about what happened to his head, but she stopped herself. Her most daunting task of finding her brother would come first as she could tell the man had been treated.

My name is Amata, Amata Sadira, I’m looking for a pup, well he’s a little older than that now I guess, but he’s about seven months old, and he’s kind of short, and has thin brown fur, with a triangle on his forehead, and he always wears a blue mask that looks like a cat on his shoulders, and he goes by the name of Denali… do you know if he has been by?

As she proceeded to talk, she couldn’t help but feel more and more worried. The man with the bandages could help or not, but she could see that he’d have more on his hands than her brother if he were here. He would at least know if the pup had been there, stayed there for the storm or passed through, maybe? The lands and areas were big, so it could be possible the boy had come through undetected, and she knew she lost his trail, what was she thinking… if he wasn’t here or in Cercatori, where could he be? She’d try to alert the other packs of course, until they found him. For now she would hope and pray that this was the pack he was in, and his trail would go warm again.

Saluce simply listened for a moment, as he always had a way of doing. Mind running over the description of the person she was looking for. Not that he could remember anyways but he felt as though he should try but nothing came to mind. It was a shame really that he didn’t know this person, this woman before him seemed very distressed about the whereabouts of their friend or acquaintance. A hand went up to rub his head for a moment, the distress on his mind quiet apparent but still he forced himself to remain as stoic as he could.

His head ache was back and the pounding on his ears was growing worse by the second. The grey behemoth couldn’t figure it out, everything around him started to swirl in a daze for a moment as he fought back the mental barrage going on in his head.

“I’m sorry, I do not recognize them” he spoke but the words came out broken and poorly spoken. His eyes closed for a moment trying to calm the storm within but nothing helped him at the moment. A hand that was always steady started to shake violently even as he started to sink to the ground. Every fiber of him was engulfed in fear, never had he experienced something so terrible wracking him, and even his thoughts started to cloud around him as the depths of the seizure started to take an ever menacing grip on him. Most likely due to the scar tissue and trauma to his brain, he was still healing and as he should have known, being out so early and putting himself in a slightly stressful situation wouldn’t help him. Quick breathes started to emanate from his mouth as his eyes clouded over. Receptors in the brain firing all at once, short circuiting, sending his muscles into a million different convulsions at once, desperately unable to retain control nor was his mind in shape to think of such things anymore.

WC: 313 OOC: Woo! She’d have sat on him but that would have caused more damage Wink

Amata was quite disappointed that the man had not seen nor heard of Denali, and he seemed genuinely unhappy that he could not help her, but what could be done? The best thing Amata could do was just try again somewhere else, but before she could thank him and wish him well, she saw his hand go to his head, and instantly her instinct as a doctor took over, as she saw his hand shaking. He was not well at all and she could tell, she rushed over to him as his convulsing started helping him to the ground so he did not fall and hit his head… again it would seem. Thinking quickly on her knowledge of seizures she quickly opened his maw and pulled out his tongue, so he would not swallow it, as she tried to help him subdue his seizure, there was not much she could do in a case like this but to let it happen and make sure he did not injure himself. He would be in shock soon enough and she was scared that he would hit his head again, but she seemed to have it under control.

His epidemic made her wonder what happened, and she thought of possible outcomes, either he was truly epileptic and hit his head on a fall, or his fall was causing a seizure, or some other anomaly was happening. Her brain raced through diagnosis’, treatments, and other things as she kept her grip on his tongue and making sure his arms did not thrash too hard. It was a hard thing to do as he was bigger than her, and quite strong for a man who was not able to control his muscles at the moment. The epidemic seemed like it was taking forever for her, when in fact it was only a few short seconds since it started.

The seizure didn’t hold its grip for long, the injury all though troublesome had been healing and so far this was the first episode he had come to grips with. Soon his eyes glazed over as his body shut down for a moment, the participant of a epic brain reboot in progress. Soon everything went black as if he were in a deep slumber. For a few moments afterward the behemoth sat silently, his breathe coming slowly in rhythm as the cogs and gears in his head slowly started spinning and the lights started to come back on.

It was like a massive amount of static that filled his ears, before he felt his awareness start coming back in a brilliant event of tunnel vision. Memories, feelings, scents, sounds all flooding his consciousness before bam his eye lids opened in a state of confusion, the situation before him confusing the addled mind more so as he couldn’t remember why he was out in the woods in the first place. A paw moved to grip his temple before he noticed the woman next to him, the scent of her flooding his nose, and her visage gracing his eyes. Embarrassment threatened to wash over him, the signs of such a thing evident in the way he moved his eyes from her. How could he wake from such a terrible thing and the first thing to pop up in his mind was the overwhelming beauty of the creature who seemed to have been helping him in the first place. It wasn’t something he was very proud of but it couldn’t be helped either, a wolf of his age was expected to already be passing along his genes and even if he couldn’t remember, he knew that he had done no such thing yet.

A loud sigh escaped his lips before looking upon her again wondering who she was, the state of confusion about him lead him to believe she was a pack member who had found him, but again her scent didn’t hold any traces of the pack he lived in.

“What happened?” he finally spoke, wanting the truth even if he wasn’t sure he could trust her yet.

WC:324 OOC: Late shaw is late :|

Amata let him go as his muscles relaxed, waiting to see if there was a relapse, but luckily for the both of them there was not. She sighed a relief and hoped that there was not much damage, and it made her wonder, was he epileptic? What was wrong with him? And the questions grew and grew as she sat there waiting for him to leave his state of shock, which took a few moments, she knew, but upon seeing his eyes focus on her for a second and moving away, was a sign he was conscious, even better was that he spoke.

You had a seizure, have you had these before? Are you epilectic?

She asked concern showing in her voice. She may not be a member of his pack, but she cared about every living thing, even the things she ate, though she couldn’t help eat what was available. She watched him to see if there was any sign of something gone amiss, he did have a bandage on his head, did he his his head so hard that it would cause him to have a seizure? That was a possibility. Amata was certain it was the cause, whatever injury he had taken in the past week or two… however long ago it was, it was affecting his brain. Was there anything he could take to make those seizures less? It made her wonder, and think mentally of her medical book. She was a doctor by heart so this was a routine thing, though she did not know medicines by heart and she had never had a case like his, and she never expected to be in this situation when he came here.

Can you sit up? Try to slowly ok? We don’t want you having another.

She said, her hands were in her lap now and she was watching him, making sure there was no sign that it might happen again.

Sorry for teh Suck, muse is kinda drained

His head pounded from a massive headache and concentrating on what the female was saying was a chore at best. The behemoth made an attempt to sit up but his muscles burned for a moment and for a moment it seemed a better idea to just sit still. Saluce didn’t know what a seizure was, nor had he experienced anything of this nature before. Still the confusion about him permeated his consciousness and when the strength to sit up returned the memory of such a request was gone. Only the urge that he was supposed to do something and couldn’t remember what.

“What is a Seizure?” he asked as he out of habit began to sit up. Eyes looking over the scene with a expressionless gaze that spoke volumes to the chaos in his head.

WC: 264 OOC: poor confused Saluce and it’s ok ^^ I have those days too.

He did not know what a seizure was. She only knew the medical definition, but doubted he would entirely understand. She had to think for a second before compiling her answer for him and then took a deep breath as if to tell him his best friend had died.

“A seizure, it’s where something happens in the brain that causes your muscles to act on their own accord, which sends you into… convulsions, no um they make you shake really bad, which isn’t all good for you at all.”

Amata frowned not sure if that was the best explanation for it, and hoped she wasn’t treating him as though he was dumb, she knew he wasn’t but she knew so many vocabulary terms for what the human doctors used it was hard to know what a wolf could understand and what he couldn’t.

“It’s best to sit there for a few more minutes then I can take you back to your home… with your permission of course, I think it’s best you have someone with you, unless you want to call for a friend?”

She asked with a worried look on her face. Saluce may be a stranger to her, but she cared for many and all at the same time. She hated seeing people in pain and confusion and it seemed that this man was experiencing both. She didn’t blame him especially since this had been his first seizure ever and the shock had barely wore off, so it was probably still a little too confusing for the poor man.
