Imacai had gotten himself set up in the caverns, having moved his items in. He left his large jars of dirt in his cave home, also leaving Sessane there to sleep in. But with his wagon now emptied out he needed a place to store it. He remembered passing a large house on the way down to the caverns and so he decided to go up that way and check on things. He gave a series of sharp barks to get Ringo's attention and to get the horse to come to him so that he didn't have to go out and search all over for his horse. He hoped Ringo was still nearby since there was no way that he would be able to move the wagon all by himself.

When the horse finally meandered over Imacai got the horse hooked up to the wagon. He then climbed up into the wagon to that he could direct the horse towards the house and on in through the gate. Immediately through the gate he found a place that looked large enough to store his wagon. He halted his horse so that he could climb off the wagon and move over to open the door to the small building attached to the larger one. He grinned when he found it was large as well as empty. He moved back over to his horse and wagon to maneuver the parking of the wagon. It took a bit of time and a lot of back and forth movements before he could get the horse to back the wagon inside of the garage. But once it was securely inside and had access for easy hook up, should he have to move it, he unhooked his horse and guided him out sot hat he could close the door to the building and hide his wagon.

Now he just had to find a place to keep Ringo. He gently guided his horse to walk around with him so that he could find a place to put him. He wasn't finding anything that would work though. He had really thought that there would be a place. There was a house for plants and a smaller house to live in but nothing for horses. Or maybe he was missing it? He let Ringo move away from him towards the lake to have a drink. He watched his horse before sending up a howl for any around to hear. Maybe someone will know where he could store his horse. Maybe he was just missing it. Maybe it wasn't in this fenced in compound but was just a short distance away. He wouldn't know until he found someone to ask. And hopefully whoever it was that would come along, and hopefully quite soon, would have a positive answer for him. That they would know of just a place and be able to lead him right to it. That really would be the best possible outcome in his mind. But for now he just waiting by Ringo, patting the equine's neck while the horse drank.

The silvery coyote did not generally hang around the D'Neville mansion anymore -- she had actively avoided the place during Eris's existence in Inferni, almost afraid of running into the girl at random. Now, however, there was no danger of that -- the sable hybrid had taken off in the night, and taking with her the descendants of Salvaged Eternity. That was fine with Kaena; Inferni seemed far less tense to her without Eris around. Now, however, the coyote felt rather silly -- what was the danger in sharing with her daughter the truth of her heritage? After all, the man was long-dead and many who might have remembered so much as his name were dead or long-gone themselves. The silver-shaded hybrid had thought, in truth, that the legacy of Salvaged Eternity was dead and buried in these lands, and she had attached meaningless weight to it with Eris.

Of course, the hybrid would not admit this, and she actively kept from further pondering such thoughts, as it would have compromised the happiness she had found in Eris's absence from Inferni. It might have even made her confute her prior assumption that Eris was an automatic extension of that dead legacy, which was something that she simply could not have. The old hybrid was simply happy to be rid of the woman and whatever wolf-children she spawned; Kaena could not think of many suitors within Inferni itself that would have accepted her, and many were dangerously wolfish themselves. It was possible whatever had leapt from that sable body possessed too much wolf blood to ever live within the coyote clan. This was a comforting thought in the end, and the hybrid left her contemplation at that, distracted by a sharp series of barks.

Figuring her patrols nearly to be over anyway, the hybrid altered her course, moving at a curious but rather laid-back pace. There was no urgency on the calls, and the hybrid did not figure it to be a situation requiring her attention, though now with her interest caught, she would investigate anyway. As she moved toward the source of the sound and closer to the mansion, a howl was raised, and her pace quickened -- now there was a reason for her to hurry. She slipped beneath the fence with surprising ease for a stiff old woman, and made her way toward an unfamiliar tawny figure, her yellow-golden eye sizing him up. “I don't think we've met,” the hybrid said, her sable ears pricked forward. “Kaena Lykoi,” she said, figuring him to be one of the newcomers Sage had recently allowed to the clan.

The male's attention turned away from the thirsty horse to the canine whom had answered his call. He turned to see an older female standing just a distance away from him. He left his horse to move over to her. As had come habitual for him upon first meetings he dropped down to his hands and knees in order to crawl around behind her to sniff at her backside. He closed his eyes as he focused on the scent. "Inferni. Female. Old." And there was something else there that he couldn't determine. He made to try and press his nose in closer in order to try and continue to sniff at her and figure out what it was that he was missing. The information felt to be on the edge of his mind where he just couldn't reach. He plopped down to his butt and brought a knuckle to his mouth to chew on it as he tried to figure it out. He knew the scent but at the same time he didn't. "Smell 'fore... Wuh...?" He mumbled around his knuckle, clearly talking to himself for the moment. But then suddenly it struck him and he got up eagerly. He moved back on around to stand in front of the female. "Eterne?" Yes, that is where he had smelled it. Not exactly the same as he remembered but it was close enough. His eyes brightened and tail gave a light wag as he thought of his birthplace. He hadn't been submitted to the darkness of the religion and so he thought of it as an infinitely better place than it was. Of course he had loved being in Barbados as well, once he had gotten into the routine of stealing to keep him and his siblings alive. Then, almost as if he had forgotten, he dropped back to his hands and knees to present himself. "Imacai." He gave his name as he lifted his tail to expose himself.

Once he had gotten that tidbit out of the way he could focus on exactly what it was that he had wanted attention for. He pointed over to his horse that had taken to munching on grass once it had finished drinking of the water. "Ringo need home. Yoko need home." Of course Yoko wasn't there with them currently. She was was probably still wandering around the lands of Inferni and getting herself settled in and eating what she could find. He wasn't too worried about where she was since he figured that he could find her easily enough should he have to. "Dey real real real big an' no fit in cave." So yes, he had tried bringing them into his cave but it just hadn't worked out. He figured that if he had a shelter then they would need one as well. After all they weren't wild horses. He had purchased them from a breeder back in Maine. They had been raised in captivity and such. The horses had never been forced to survive without a shelter before.

"Wuh horse house?" That was his main concern after all. He needed somewhere to store the horses since he had found a place to keep the wagon. "Roun' 'ere?" He asked, opening both of his arms wide to indicate the entire area that he was in and on beyond. After ass he wasn't finding anything obviously and really he thought it would be something large. Something that would be easy to see from a distance. But he didn't really know. He was still new to the area and learning his way around the area.

Word Count :: 524 Herp. XD

The stranger approached immediately, coming rather close to her. Her single golden eye followed him suspiciously, confusion falling over her face until she realized his intent, at which point she simply relaxed. He spoke his smells, and she remained quiet, head turned over her shoulder to study the expression of the male. The next word he spoke did ring true and caused her to lift the brow over her good eye, scarred face showing interest.

“No. I have never been. Maybe my daughter, Eris,” she suggested, rolling her shoulder in a shrug. She did not know how similarly she and Eris smelled; her own scent was dulled and far too familiar for her to be able to pick specific qualities of it. “Is that where you're from, then?” the hybrid said, leaning forward to sniff him in introduction, albeit more awkwardly and with less vigor than she had. Upon reeling back, the old hybrid's face was split into a grin that could quite nearly be described as nervous.

“Kaena Lykoi. Your manner of greeting -- it shouldn't be so strange, but most seem to prefer another method these days,” she said. “Not that I find it odd,” she added quickly, lifting her palms as if to show her intention not to offend. “It's what we did for as long as we were called canines.” She was old enough to remember the era when the Optime form had not been so common, when many did not even know of or possess the Luperci trait. Then, Imacai's sort of greeting had been the norm -- upon discovering their hands, however, many Luperci had moved to a new method of greeting.

The hybrid listened carefully to his words, her coal-shaded ears pricking to take in his thick accent. It coated his words like honey, oozing off of his tongue in a slow, thick slur. She generally did not have difficulty deciphering accents, and his was no different -- there was a beautiful, nearly melodious quality to the strange sounds of his words. She found herself rather enamored with his manner of speech -- brief and clipped but with such a lovely tone. Her eyes followed his gesture to the equine browsing the mansion's tall grasses. The horse was large and muscular, its features thick and tipped with long, flowing hair in places.

“Yes, that's a lovely animal -- he looks pretty damn cared for,” the hybrid said, noting the silky and long mane and tail and how much time Imacai had to devote to keeping it clean and untangled. “I think this would be a good place for a barn, though. Lots of coyotes live in there,” Kaena said, tossing her russet muzzle toward the mansion. “The fence around the yard would help, too. Is this enough room for the horses to roam?” she asked, indicating the D'Neville yard as a whole. While the front gate was wide open, the hybrid presumed the ample lawns would be plenty of room for the animals to be let loose. Imacai (or another concerned horse owner) could always construct a wooden gate, too -- it would not be so difficult.

OOC here: Table & Coding © Sunny; Talked to J and he is fine with Marik being used. Also, do you think someone that is luperci would smell different than someone that is not?; 646 words

That scent had thrown him for a loop because he knew that he knew it yet he couldn't place a face with it. But with this female speaking he now knew a name to try and patch with the original scent that he had smelled. He would have to seek out this Eris at some point and see if she matched just what was stored away in his memory. But that was better saved for a later date. He gave a nod of his head in return for her question. "Eterne den Barbados." He spoke up as he stood up, naming off the places that he had referred to as home. At least she seemed at the very least vaguely familiar with where he had been born.

He turned himself about to face the female that named herself off as Kaena. "Done sine lil." He gave out a clipped out explanation. It's just been something that he has always done though he had noticed that others found it peculiar and chose not to participate in that fashion of greeting. That was fine with him, to each their own. Still, it wouldn't stop him from doing what he did. It was easier than asking a series of questions. In a scent he found out gender, age, species, as well as if they belonged to a pack. And in this case he had even gained a familial relation that he otherwise might have never known about since he would have never thought to ask if this woman had family that had ever been in Eterne.

His accent had been something learned and mimicked. It was something that he would have to give up in order to remain here. He survived by altering his speech patterns to fit in where he found himself. He would be looked over if he could incorporate himself and not come off as an outsider. The more he talked to seemed to talk in longer sentences. It was still the same basic language he had picked up in Barbados. It was the way that the others that had come off the ships, and many working on the ships, had spoken. He found it odd then, just as he had found the talk of those from Barbados when they had visited Eterne while he lived there. He had ended up learning when he had ended up staying there for months. And well, he would have to learn to elongate his speech now just as had been done on the boat and with those back in Maine.

He smiled as his horse was praised. He had to say he was rather taken with the animal even though he hadn't had him long. "Got Freetown." He said with an affirmative nod of his head. He glanced to his horse before focusing on the female leader again. "Got three. Ringo mine. Lennon Sage. Yoko Sessane." Of course Lennon has been purchased originally to go with the wagon. But the female that he had met at the borders had become taken with him so he had given away his extra horse. He figured that Sessane would allow to switch out Yoko to pull the wagon when Ringo got tired, which had been Lennon's original purpose.

He glanced to where was indicated, not having known that others actually stayed in there. "Wagon lil house." Not that he knew it was a garage. Still, he had already made use of this place to hide some of his larger things that he could not fit in the caves already. He pointed around towards the front of the mansion where he had come from. He then looked around the spacious yard and gave a nod of his head. He figured that it would work, but he wasn't an expert either. "Ringo like." He responded seeing as the horse had already taken to grazing.
