ooc;; BACKDATED TO 16TH MARCH!! SIKU IS A MUST AND ALL SAUL'S FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE WELCOME! (Conor, Bris, Eclipse, Gideon, Saluce etc!)

The harsh tap of crude hammer against old nail was a sound common in these areas for the past few months. Though the snowstorm had seriously threatened to take down his home, its had survived through sheer willpower. And the fact that Saul had protected it from the snows by sharply pulled tarpaulines that had acted as protector. There hadnt been too much water damage inside the large cabin and Saul was pleased that his home was mostly undamaged. It was a miricle really, considering the destruction that occured in Wolfville. There was almost no buildings left and the old victorian house that had been his home since he'd returned to Dahlia still had a tree leaning against it. The same tree that took out most of the building in fact. But they all had to move on a make new lives for themselves, even after all the damage that had been caused. He'd heard there had been a death in AniWaya because of the storm and he was thankful that nobody had been killed in Dahlia. Of course, that didnt take out the bitter thoughts of Shiloh and Ascher- missing once again.

The last nail was lined up, the crude hammer gently tested to make sure he wasnt liable to hit his thumb in the process of tapping out a rhythm once again. Tongue sticking out in a comical fashion the young man hit the final tap that completed his house. A critical eye cast over the wooden slated roof to see if there was anything that he'd missed and when finally satisfied that it was as near to perfect as he could get it, the young man jumped from the roof in a clean leap to the floor. The snow around this area was clearing, Oberon's Spring just a few hundred metres away that made this site the perfect place for him to live. Obsessed with cleaning his coat before his morning run, it would now be much easier to obtain that goal.

Green eyes flashed with pride as he looked at the house they had made. Saul, Saluce and with input from both brothers, the cabin was finally alive. Large and with the potential to be two storeys, it was more than big enough to house any family that might wish to stay for a while or permanently. There as his room and four guest rooms, not as big as his own but sufficiently large enough to be comfortable. One communel room that served as both living room, dining room and kitchen, the latter two rooms only a formality. It was rare that the wolves ate inside and preferred their meat fresh from the beating heart. But still, Siku had expressed a want for cooked meats at one point a few weeks ago and he had made sure that a fireplace was there to be used as coker. Gideon would have to teach him how to make a fire properly, but the means were there.

For the moment his windows were open to the world but he hoped soon to find some glass to put in the holes. He had split the windows into four with two small slats of wood, and the two windows at the front of the house were allowing cold air into the house. There were two at the back, overlooking the river and then one window in each room of the house. Saul's bedroom was in the almost second storey, almost exactly in the same way that Conor had had the run of the loft in the victorian house. The four bedrooms downstairs were close together to the right hand side of the house and the communal living areas to the left. Or the opposite if you were looking at it face on- bedrooms to the left and living areas right. Siku would soon occupy the largest of these four rooms and hopefully they could work to get this house fit to live in.

But it was time to move in and he wanted a welcoming party as well as the white princess who would be living with him. Crossing muscled arms over his chest Saul turned and lifted his head to the strong spring sun. It was his first birthday today and he was going to celebrate by moving into his own house. That he had built. From scratch. The powerful howl that sounded nothing like the weak and measly mew he had offered on arriving in Dahlia resonated through his body, inviting friends and family to come and join him on this special occasion. He was finally becoming a proper man.

<3 <3 Congrats on your baby becoming a man! Big Grin I'm so excited!

Siku had not planned to do much today, but the melting snow and brightly burning sun enticed her to get moving, explore. It was always a perfect day to be travelling this far East, but with the nice weather it was even more so. The alabaster wolf stood with a stiff yawn, golden eyes closed as she slowly stretched out her lean body. After stretched each leg meticulously, she glanced around. The Dahlian had slept in, which was not uncommon. She had little to do lately, and guilt ate at her as she spent her days frivolously. Wasn't there something or other she could do to help? With another yawn, Siku shook her fur out and then started walking slowly towards Oberon's Spring. That was where Saul was last time she wanted to see him, working on his house. Perhaps she would pay a visit, and see how he was doing. It had been awhile, and she was curious about his house.

The house she would sooner or later be living in. Of course, there was no furniture or beds yet, but Siku didn't mind. She had never slept in a bed before, let alone a house. Neither had the down-to-earth wolf planned to, but her closest friend wanted her there. Saul, the boy who had found her at the borders. Siku smiled to herself unconsciously. How could she say no to the handsome Dahlian, who was kind enough to offer her a home? He genuinely wanted her there with him. Siku did not want to be a burden. And so with inward determination, she planned to make his strange, human inspired house a home. How that would be done, she wasn't even sure. But it could be. As the golden eyed woman drew near, her heart beat rhythmically inside her chest like a fluttering bird. She had not seen Saul in a few days, and it had felt like a long time to her. Yet she stayed away, exploring and patrolling borders.

White paws almost dragged along the ground, anxious and lazy at the same time. Siku had not eaten anything yet. With conflicted interest, the slender she-wolf sighed. She was getting skinnier rather than healthier living in Dahlia, barely hunting and instead exploring almost all the time. There was food everywhere! Live thrived there. Siku simply didn't hunt enough, only eating when hunger drove her to maul small game she came across. The thought reminded her of the last time she saw Saul. She had discovered him, really. Him and his skillfully built house.. Frame. 'It must be different by now,' Siku reasoned, though she hadn't the slightest clue as to how carpentry worked. However, she remembered him mentioning that others were there to help him.

Expression thoughtful, Siku was imagining the inside of the house as she got close. Golden eyes staring up at the sky as she walked, the white woman nearly jumped out of her own coat of fur as a howl pierced the silence. It was Saul, and Siku giggled at her reaction as she picked up pace. Did he know she was on her way to see him? He was calling, but not just for her. For everyone. How strange. With a burst of speed, the petite Dahlian took off into a run. Thin but muscled legs doing their job, the she wolf was just a white streak as she bolted for the house. Saul was there! With each bound the woman realized how much she missed the handsome wolf. Trying her best to imagine herself invisible, Siku was sneaking around the outside of his impressive house lithely. Halfway around, she changed into Optime with little effort. She wanted to startle him now, because she suspected he hadn't foretold her early arrival.

Her feet creeping forward, Siku tried not to growl or bark a hello as she finally caught sight of Saul. There you are. Delicate hands running along the siding, Siku's gaze shifted from the handiwork to the handsome male. He had no idea. Holding in a giggle, the white Dahlian made an attempt to move toward her much larger adversary without a sound. Finally growling to make her presence known, Siku flung herself at the wolf with a wild abandon and cried out excitedly. "I'M HERE!" She had tried not to make her impact too hard, or too weak, but Siku couldn't be sure what would come after the spontaneous tackle/hug. Hopefully he would not take offense and attack before he realized, but this thought only processed mid lunge. Siku wasn't one to think things over, and she wasn't going to start mid attack!

The male was doing better than he had been doing in the past few weeks, health-wise...but was still very slow. He was afraid to move in some way, still certain that he would have pain should he stretch his arms completely out or y. bend his leg a certain way. What had happened to him on that journey outside of Dahlia was a mystery to him, his memory fuzzy...he had gone to try and find Melee and Range's real mother, the mysterious black wolf, and had woken up with grievous injuries with no memory of where he had been or who had done these things to him.

Gideon had done what he could to help the others with the cabin, but he wished he could have been around to do more. His pain had been barely manageable some days, an infection hindering his recovery slightly as well, and he was just now getting back on his feet after a month or so of healing. What he was left with were long twisting scars up both arms, chunks of flesh missing in odd places on either arm and on one leg.

He was glad that the cabin was done, though, proud that he had been able to help his brother with it in whatever ways he could. The male had heard the howl and hadn't been too far away, so he'd hurried to join Saul. His brother's white friend was already there, a wolf that he had seen around a few times but had never officially met one-on-one, and he raised his hand to wave to both of them as he approached. "Hey"

As the call for friends and family rose invisibly against the tall sky, Conor was struck with regret. He had not been of much assistance as Saul had worked to make a home for himself, and he was not happy about it. Conor should have been one of the strongest supporters in this, but instead he had vanished from the house every day, sought to the borders and spent a great amount of time in solitude rather than with those who were part of his Dahlian family. But he was afraid that they would finally be able to spot the change. Everything was not all right, but when in company, he did his best to fool himself to think differently. His life was a bright one, and today was a day for celebration of the young male’s summon meant what Conor thought it did.

He was not well, but there was no chance he would turn away from the invitation. No more failing today.

The golden alpha arrived just after Gideon, and admired the work that Saul had put down into his project. How such a young canine could have managed to complete this. Very impressive indeed. Siku was already there, and even the alpha’s worn face had to bring up a smile as he saw the two. Interesting. But he said nothing, though could not remove the playful curl dominating his lips. ”Not bad at all,” Two fingers added pressure to right temple for a moment, and then fell. This was no common headache. He needed sleep. Always. ”Did we arrive at a bad time, perhaps?” It seemed that he couldn’t resist after all, and he even added a wink at the pale female and the young, earthen hued male.

ooc;; Anyone else wanting to join is still more than welcome! Thanks for replying guys!

The howl left his lips and he allowed them to curve up in a soft grin. His family would soon be around him and he would be sharing a special moment in his life with them. Of course, he didnt count on his family and friends being there almost immediately. It was perhaps two or three minutes after the summons had been sent when he thought he heard something behind him. Figuring it to be the creak of his new house he ignored it. Stupid mistake really. He almost stumbled forward as a comforting weight slammed into his back. If the females scent hadnt filled his nose at that point he would have thrown her off and sought to disarm the attacker. But her scent, so easy to him, filled his nose and he allowed long arms to reach back and hold onto her legs, trapping her to his back in a piggy-back. He would have preferred a sweet voice in his ear to the yell he got, but the laugh that echoed in the small meadow by the spring was heartfelt and genuine.

"Well hello there, Miss Siku!"

He replied, attempting to swing her body round his own so she faced him on the ground instead of caught his back in her grip. Soon they would be living here together and he would see her almost every day. A stab of apprehension caught him as he thought of his morning rituals. Get up, bathe in the river, run until he was out of breath and energy. The compulsion to run was so strong in him that he doubted he would ever be able to stop. Would Siku mess this up? Perhaps not. Whether he got her to the ground or not he was unsure as Gideon moved into the clearing. Holding himself gingerly Saul could see that there was something very wrong with his brother. Concern darkened emerald eyes as he moved towards the black male. Hands automatically reached out to inspect what had happened to his arms as the younger of the brothers spoke.

"Gideon... what happened to you?"

He demanded, all thoughts of his house and his happy day washed from his mind. His brother was in pain and he was going to help him. Of course, Conor couldnt have picked a better time to show up. More distressing than his brother, their leader look downtrodden, exhausted. Saul looked between the two men most constant in his life with a certain amount of concern, worry and serious distress on his face. However, the small curve of Conor's lip said the Alpha was attempting to make everything normal and Saul begrudingly took up the act. A smile curled his lips upward as he very gently patted his brothers shoulder. Moving back towards Siku and the house Saul commented back to Conor.

"A labour of love... emphasis on the labour."

He smiled, trying to battle past the serious concern for his brother and his father-figure. Still, pride in his creation welled. It was crushed momentarily at Conor's comment before he saw the smile on the males lips. He was just teasing is all. Tail swinging back and forward for a moment Saul glanced at Siku and grinned.

"Not at all Conor... we were just talking!"

He offered, hoping Conor wouldnt say something to mess up their friendship. It was quite obvious to an older member that they were more than friends, but the pair didnt know it yet and didnt need to be told.

Big Grin

Another laugh, though breathless, accompanied Saul's as Siku hugged him in return of being held on his back. She nipped his neck in reply to the hello, a softer laugh escaping her as he swung her around to face him. She was so light in his arms, but Siku dropped to the ground as she faced him. With a happy grin, she turned around to face the next wolf who answered his howl. It was a grey/black male that approached, and Siku's grin faded to a friendly smile as she waved shyly in return. Her golden eyes glanced down at him as he came closer, and her smile faltered slightly as she bit back a soft gasp. There was something wrong, and as Saul walked past the alabaster woman she wrapped an arm around herself and tried not to stare. He was hurt, and it looked pretty bad. Feeling helpless, the white woman watched mutely as Saul became upset and wished she could help the boy. Not only because he was obviously dear to Saul, but because this was also her pack member. She was supposed to help with these things.. She didn't even know him yet. Troubled by this, Siku's smiled widened with friendly greeting and she moved to introduce herself before her eyes caught the golden fur of Conor.

"Hello!" Siku raised the arm that was around her to wave, and felt slightly uneasy as she saw Conor's obvious exhaustion. It appeared neither new comers were in very good condition, and Siku could not help but wish she could do something to help both. Remembering the last time she saw their leader, the woman could understand his weary look. The storm had taken a toll on everyone, nearly taking Range's life before Siku and Conor had found him in the snow. Siku trembled at the memory, opening her mouth to ask the cinnamon wolf about Range before he spoke first. He was impressed with Saul's work, and Siku's frown grew to a smile again as she glanced at the house. It truly was impressive, and glancing it over reminded the woman that Conor didn't know. At least, she wasn't sure if he knew that she was moving in as well. Golden eyes turned back to the group as Conor spoke again, and Siku felt her skin flush as he winked at them suggestively. He had seen her affectionate greeting, and she wondered what he thought of it.

We were just talking! Saul replied quickly, and Siku nodded in agreement as she smiled sheepishly. "About his house," the she-wolf added lamely, amused but also curiously embarrassed by the Alpha's remark. He had to be tired as hell, but he was here to see Saul's accomplishment. He was even teasing them. 'This is what it means, being in a pack..' Siku watched the group of three thoughtfully, witnessing a connection she had yet to have with them. They were family, coming together and taking care of each other. It was touching to see the love in their eyes as they greeted each other. Perhaps in the past she had contemplated leaving Dahlia to explore, but this was what she searched for. There was nothing in the world she could find and want more than this.

Gideon had been very worried about caring for his children over the last month. He had been trying to keep a better eye on his son ever since the storm, relieved to have him back safe and sound. He felt ashamed that he hadn't been able to search for Range himself, as he had been fairly sick and weak at that point...but such things couldn't be helped. He felt like a failure as a father when he wasn't able to protect and defend his little boy against everything.

His scars were old, but perhaps Saul hadn't noticed them as much in the past. He did look pretty ragged today...tired from the walk over. "I feel better than I have been feeling, Brother. I've been resting up." He now had a permanent limp from he piece of flesh that had been taken from the back of his knee. "The place looks really nice..I'm jealous" He said, giving his brother a grin. Conor was next to arrive and he gave the leader a deep nod as well, glad to see him.

It was Saul’s reaction to his brother that inspired lavender to investigate Gideon’s dark form, this time while paying attention to what he really saw. Once he had been so quick to detect anything out of the ordinary, but things that had once seemed so simple and natural seemed to be daunting tasks these days. The man did not wish to ruin the bright mood that was settling in the scene, but cinnamon hued audits flattened in quiet response. As guardian, friend and leader, it was his task to investigate this. But marks were not fresh, and it was not a pressing matter. His own selfishness surprised him, but the dark golden leader remained quiet, though discontentment could be seen in his face for a short moment.

He tried to busy his thoughts again, and smiled at Siku. She seemed happy, they all did. Things were turning out quite nicely for them. Good. Focus returned to the building before them, and the alpha’s lips silently pursed. He would never have thought the boy capable enough to get such an impressive result. This was not about any doubt, but the construction spoke of skill that was not expected from such a young individual as the green eyed Stormbringer male. ”Me too,” he mumbled, echoing Gideon on the jealousy. The Victorian house was a wonderful home, but it was different to move into a home that had been created with one’s own two hands.

ooc;; if anyone would like to contact jassy and tell her she is more than welcome to bring Bris along, that'd be nice! if not i'll do it!

Siku swung round easily from his back, her body sliding against his in a motion that pulled her flush against his. He grinned down at her but it was short lived as she turned around to look towards Gideon. The warmth of her body still lingered on his as she moved away and an irrational part of him wished to pull her closer. But they were in the company of family and friends and Saul knew it was wrong to want to. They would not see it as the close friendship the two did- Conor would most definitely see it as what it was. A budding romance. He could see that Siku was just as troubled as he was by the scars raking down his brothers body, but a cherry 'hello' from the white woman did a good job of hiding it. Saul was determined to find out what had happened to him, but they all seemed to want to brush over the poor health of the two visitors in their midst for the celebration of today.

Gideon sought to put it all to rest with his words but Saul wasnt convinced. Still, there was really nothing he could do about it and Saul was loathe to leave someone like that. It made Saul realise as well that he had been absent from his brothers life since the snowstorm- he hadnt seen or spoken to him in a long while. Maybe if he'd been more in touch with the darker brother, he would not have such horrific scars. Saul knews of some herbs and plants that could have helped. But he wasnt there and he was kicking himself now for being too wrapped up in his own affairs to look after his brother. And his Alpha it seemed, as exhaustion weighed the golden hued male down. There was something there in his eyes that spoke of something darker but the green eyed male chose to ignore it. It wasnt his place. Perhaps he could find some plants to make a sleeping draught for the leader that might help him.

"Well I'm glad you're feeling better Gideon."

He said with a firmness to his voice that said he was still very concerned for his younger brother. Green eyes searched the horizon for a moment, wondering and hoping that maybe Ascher and Shiloh had made it home to him. Ascher had been excited about the house and Saul really wanted him to see it. But the siblings had gone missing in the snowstorm and Saul was beginning to worry about them. Still, his brothers voice brought him back and he smiled at him softly. It had taken a lot of time and effort, both physical and mental for him to get this house together and it certainly was no easy thing to do. Saul could still see imperfections that plagued him and his perfectionist attitude would not let it lie. Still, his tail swished behind him and he grinned as Conor echoed his brothers jealousy.

"I'll have to build you one, little brother. Maybe later in summer!"

He offered with an unconscious chuckle. Of course, he didnt want to become the pack carpenter- the work was long and strenuous and he wasnt sure he really wanted to work with wood. But he knew that if his brother wanted a house, he would make one for him. With Saluce's help of course, because none of this would have been possible without the grey man. Feeling as though they had moved past idle chit chat and concern for the two members of his family who had shown up, Saul gave a soft sigh. Where were Range and Melee? And Bris and Eclipse? They should be here today. Still, they werent and Saul was a little disappointed.

"I think this is it for now. Well, I would like to welcome you both to my day of independance- Siku and I will be moving into this house... Cabin really, today. I wanted you all here to share it with me. As Ascher and Shiloh appear to have gone walkabout and the rest of our brood appears to have gone likewise, it will just be us I guess. Welcome to my- our new home!"

He offered to the two males who had bothered to show up. A smile and an elborate wave of his hand was given as he motioned towards the cabin he had laboured so long over. Today was the day it would be lived in.

WC: 255 OOC: NEVER FEAR ECLIPSE IS HERE!!!

Eclipse had been following daddy. She was a superpuppy today. Saving helpless animals. Like that superman that she had saw in a cool picture book. She had found a few of these picture books and was easily able to nose them to where she could see what happened on each page. Each page was full of excitement too. Eclipse stood tall and proud as she walked behind her daddy, though he might or might not have known she was there, was beyond her for she’d heard a cry for help (or rather the call of a crow) and went off to save the poor beast in help. Unfortunately for superpuppy she did not find the poor creature that was bound to die... though she wasn’t going to give up just yet! She hurried back and caught her daddies scent. Her trail was left a few times for “cries of help” before she finally saw her family gathered together. Something must be wrong! She thought as she raced over the threshhold.

“Never fear super puppy is here!”

She cried out proudly looking for the danger that lurked. She didn’t mind eyes being on her for thats the life of a super hero. She sniffed the ground, and then looked over to Saul in which was the one who had the attention of the group.

“Whose in twouble Saul!”

She asked, poised in a stance that was well suited for the puppy. Ready to save whoever needed saving.

Sorry for the wait.

Siku couldn't help the shiver down her spine as Gideon spoke with a calm voice. I feel better than I have been feeling. Siku's mind automatically tried to visualize what he might have looked like before he began to heal, and she could not look at any of them. What happened to him? The white woman could not bring herself to ask, though just the sight of his wounds pained her as well. Troubled, golden eyes strayed and unfocused as the three wolves spoke. Their words were not really reaching Siku's ears as she stared in every other direction but them. They weren't talking to her anyway, and the she-wolf felt a little strange trying to listen and engage in the conversation when she didn't need to. Instead she politely smiled each time they glanced at her, and kept to herself rather than attempting to talk. Siku could feel the atmosphere, could sense that there was something... a little off. Conor seemed so over tired, which only made her feel guilty.

A round ear twitched as Siku heard the sounds of another approach, and Siku glanced up in time to see her leader smile. Though only slightly, this eased the Spaher; and she grinned widely in return before turning her head to identify the new comer. Never fear, Super puppy is here! A puppy! Golden eyes sparkled as Siku giggled, the girlish sound accompanied by her most affectionate greeting yet. "Why, hello!" The white she-wolf smiled charmingly, dropping to her knees with grace to meet the young girls eyes. Golden attempted to meet the deep blue eyes of the young Dahlian, and as Siku stared longer she could see traces of purple. The sight reminding her of her leader, Siku tilted her head to the side as she smiled again the the girl. So adorable, so sweet. Siku's heart swelled and she glanced quickly up at the others as if to remind herself that it was not just her and the lovely child there. Eyes lowering to said puppy again, Siku spoke with a softness that she didn't know she had. The she-wolf had never even encountered a pup before. "What's your name sweetie?"
