I Feel Him in my Body.

He was running- running as fast as he could. He had felt something, and he had to get away from it. He didn't know what it was, or where it came from, but something was following him, something dark and evil. He growled loudly trying to scare it away, but the feeling got stronger and seemed to laugh in his face. He barked angirly and ran faster. His large, oversized paws ate up the ground, tearing up grass and turning soil. His muscles rippled madly and his ears were flat on his skull. He turned his head back, baring his teeth at whatever was following him.

He saw shadows, running from tree to tree. His heart pounded, he was scared... He ran faster than he ever thought he could, he wouldn't stop running... he couldn't. He wanted to so bad, his body screamed for help, but his instinct kept him running. Usually he would stay and fight for himself, but this was too big to fight, too big to see, to big to imagine. Whatever this was, it could... and would, kill him. He felt a bite on his rump. He yelped out and growled again, he felt more painful bites and he couldn't take it anymore. His body collapsed, he rolled on the ground, his momentum from running slowing down. He stood, his pelt was clamped down from sweat, his body shook. His tail was tucked between his legs and his teeth barred. If he wasn't so sweaty the hair on the back of his neck would be standing straight up. He looked around at the shadows that were darting from place to place.

Then he knew. He knew who it was. His old pack, Shadow Strength. The alpha strode up, towered over him. What had happened? He had been away from home for a while, and last time he was there, he towered over the alpha. He looked away from his locking glare and instead looked at his surroundings. He was in a small clearing, with trees surrounding him. He heard a growl and looked at the Alpha. Ookami stood, ready to fight, while the pack members gathered in a circle, watching. The Alpha lunged and clamped onto Ookami's throat. Next thing he knew he was waking up from a sleep. He panted hard and looked around, he was in a small clearing, with trees surrounding him.

He remembered the dream and stood. He looked around some more, he saw some shadows and ran. He made it out of the forest and kept running, but the shadows stopped. He ran for a little longer, then finally stood still. He was safe. At least he thought he was. He couldn't remember at the time anything going on in his life. The only thing he remembered was to run. And he did. He finally stopped, his breath came in short heavy puffs. As he looked around he shuddered. Was someone there?

OOc: Maybe Drizzt comes in? Big Grin

With his head bobbing up and down, Drizzt snored softly on the branch he had chosen as his perch, some ten feet off the ground. He had climbed the tree in hopes of finding a safe place to rest his tired body, a place his family wouldn't even think of looking for that fact. After an hour or so of vigilant watch, the man fell asleep against the trees core.

Drizzt dreamed of himself in the sky, among the stars he found so beautiful. The stars laughed, and joked, bringing the wolf higher and higher into the sky, embracing him in their light. Drizzt talked to the stars, laughing with them about nothing and yet everything.

As his dream rolled on, Drizzt began to hear what sounded like an army rolling towards him. He flicked his view in every direction, searching for the ones who had disturbed his conversation. But he saw nothing. Desperately, he drew his scimitars and took a defensive stance. The stars behind him grew quiet, and a the air had a heavy stillness to it.

As Drizzt stepped forward to search for the intruders, he felt something holding his rear foot firmly, painfully so. And when he looked down, he saw his fathers eyeless head, moaning in agony. Then more hands appeared, and began dragging the male back to earth, digging into his flesh and cursing his name. The assassin sliced and chopped at the arms, but his blades did nothing, save dull and bend.

When Drizzt was almost back to the surface of the planet, a large, dark hand tore its way out of the ground, and reached for him. A scarred hand. One with many rings, and armored with metal plating. His mothers hand...

Drizzt awoke with a jolt, drawing forth a scimitar and rolling, catching another branch in his hand, then dropped and caught another, dropping only two to three feet to the ground. The male was crouched, and moved silently. He had heard something that caused him to awaken like this. A noise that sounded like...

The assassin's eyes and ears perked to his left, where he barely made out the figure of another wolf running out of the forest. The way he ran made Drizzt put up his defenses again, before slinking off to follow the male, eventually coming to a clearing where the other male had stopped, simply standing there and taking deep breaths.

Sheathing his weapon, Drizzt cautiously approached the other male. "... Greetings sir. Are you... Safe?" He asked awkwardly. He was still new to speaking english, but he figured it wouldn't impede him.

Ookami's body shook furiously. He had convoulsions and he nearly collapsed to the ground. The sound of a male's voice drug his body out of it's shocked state. He breathed deeply.. He cocked his head, "I... think.. so." His voice was shaky and his words were spread apart. He looked at the wolf, his eyes a burning amber. They seemed to glow, lighting up the area around his face. But maybe it was just him, maybe his eyes felt bright to only him, yet they didn't look this way to the male in front of him.

The male held a weapon and Ookami backed away a little. He was in no mood to even think that this male could cause harm to him. His chest heaved up and down and his coat was matted down with what seemed like gallons of sweat. His usually confident structure seemed crumpled and weak. He closed his eyes, trying to catch his breath. What had happened?! Was it a dream? Was it real? He had felt someone following him and the next thing he knew, this wolf was talking to him. Maybe this wolf had been chasing him this whole time. He did have a weapon..

The thought of this wolf maybe wanting to hurt him made his breathing shorten. Ragged, short gasps were what filled his lungs. It barely gave him enough oxegyn to not pass out. His lungs seemed to be filled with tar, they just wouldn't take in any air. Soon the breath started to come even weaker. He felt himself getting woozy. The next thing he knew he felt a pain in his head and heard a bang. He had fallen to the ground, his knees buckled. He felt himself fading fast. The pain went away and he seemed to be floating. Was he dead? Or just unconsious?

Drizzt deliberately put his blade away and stopped when he noticed the other wolf backing away. He then spread his arms and crossed them, a sign of peace from his pack. "I don't mean to startle you, stranger." He stated calmly, trying to ease the other male. "But you look-" The blade wielding male was cut short when the panicked wolf seemed to fall unconscious.

Moving swiftly, Drizzt closed the gap between them in an instant and caught the overwhelmed wolf before he hit the ground. He then lowered his charge and stood up straight, whispering to himself. "Ce sa întâmplat cu tine? Ai fost otrăvit?" He spoke in his birth tongue, kneeling down, he dropped his pack and pulling out a canteen. Sloshing the water around, Drizzt poured some into his hand and let it drip onto the others forehead between his fingers.

As he did this he kept his eyes scanning his surroundings, looking for whatever had panicked this male in such a way. "Oi... Trezeşte-te... Oi." He said sternly, not wanting to linger near unknown danger.

The male apologized.. So he wasn't here to hurt him. Ookami's heartbeat slowed a bit, but not by much. His breathing continued to be fast and there wasn't anything he could do to slow it. The male spoke in a foreign language. What did he say? "What? I don't understand you..." His voice was ripply and shaky. The splashing of water on his forehead felt like he was diving headfirst into a pool of water. His head shook violently but the water seemed to do his breathing some good.

It was calmer now, finally slowing down. When he past out he heard more words.. "I don't-" His heartbeat sped up and he was out. It wasn't like before though, at Eagle Tower. No, he couldn't hear anything or smell anything. He felt like he was in a deep-dreamless sleep. Good. He won't come here then. The last thought to flow through his head was calming and his body clung to it. It seemed to steady his breathing and calm his heart. They still went fast, but definately a drop from before.

As the male spoke shakily, Drizzt put a hand to his forehead. The temperature wasn't highly abnormal considering his breathing, but that's what worried him; the strangers breathing. The water seemed to aid the mans breathing, so Drizzt sprinkled some more water onto his head before responding calmly. "I apologize. I don't speak English often. What ails-" The assassin prince stopped and sighed when the male blacked out, checking the his pulse and nodding at its slowed beat. The tall golden male's breathing had also slowed, returning to a calmer pace. He glanced around and considered his predicament. The man obviously wasn't in any shape to travel far. Sighing, he took in the males scent and found what he wanted; the scent of the mans pack. He then searched his mind for the location, and looked southeast. He had been scouting the surrounding areas since he landed, memorizing the direction of packs and landmarks.

Nodding his head, Drizzt parted his cloak and picked up the male in his arms, then proceeded to quickly and carefully make his way in the direction of the other mans home. He stepped over roots, around trees, and under logs, all the while keeping the man balanced in his arms. The assassin deftly moved his feet, rolled his shoulders, and shifted his weight, his arms hardly strained by the taller man. He glanced down occasionally to check if the male had woken up.

Drizzt stopped himself a mile or so from the pack borders, knowing well enough not to get closer. He still didn't trust pack wolves, but the golden boy was passed out, leaving the Chaos Prince to either leave him to his fate, or bring him back to the pack he belonged to. Sighing once more, Drizzt again glanced around, then put the gold wolf down against a tree and clambered up to a low hanging branch. He settled himself and kept watch, waiting for the man to awaken.
