Let's see how long Eclipse can go without being squished! Big Grin Kinda short. :/

It was eerily...pretty. The way the sunlight hit the flower filled field highlighting it in a pale yellow glow turning into a creepy wonderland. The air was still, thick with the smell of tobacco and heavy with history holding the stories of those buried beneath. Graves were crumbling slowly being consumed by the wildflowers as they tangled and twisted themselves around the stone in a sad display of survival. It was a bittersweet view, like a silent play, a battle. Who'd win and who'd lose? Will the plants outlive the stone or will the graves withstand time like they already have?

Soft sounds of moving brush filled the air as the grey giant moved about feet moving over and away from anything that looked or he deemed precious, which was almost everything in sight. The sharp smell of natural growing herb along with the still bitter chill of winter filled his lungs as he exhaled taking in as much as his chest cold hold before releasing it. It was a quiet, calm day much like it was everyday since joining Anathema. It was something the shy young male could get use to.

The area came off quite relaxing to him, although a bit creepy nonetheless still relaxing and was also very nice to look it. In fact he could probably spend days on end wandering the place and always find something new, it was just that good to him. Being able to get in fresh air was nice, too, as the underground could get a bit stuffy at times. Another deep inhale followed by a slightly noisy exhale. A very fine day indeed and he hoped there were more to come filling his life with simple days, just like he wanted.

WC: 376 OOC: wheee fun Big Grin

In Character

Eclipse had found her way home from the borders of Inferni, though she didn’t know she was so close to a pack full of wolf hating coyotes, nor did she know how far she’d gone, she just knew she had to stick around for her family not to worry for her so much until she would go out again. She would use the excuse of exploring, but since her father decided to leave, she took it upon herself to look for him. She wished she knew what was going on. She wanted answers and she wanted them now, so the only ways she could react to not getting those answers was to react in an angry sort of way, but it was hard for Eclipse to be angry, she loved her daddy, and everyone around her, and anger didn’t tend to come as well as it should have from her own family history. She had such an easy going personality, so her anger... went straight to learning how to hunt, learning her abilities at being stealthy, though she was still a pup... and she had no siblings, no puppy friends and the only one who really played rought with her, besides Saul, of course, had left.... it was not easy. She was finding, jumping and pouncing on the flowers from the fields, was entertaining enough, it was close to home for now, and she’d be off again soon looking for her daddy. For now, she enjoyed the little smooshing noises some of the flowers made when she jumped on them just right. She soon felt the presence of another, and stopped, trying to hide herself in the grasses, thought it was hard to feel like she blended in, but what she saw was more interesting than hiding, or pouncing, and she wasn’t sure about this stranger, how he would react to her. She was beginning to learn what it was like to actually think about other’s feelings, off and on of course.

“Who’re you?”

She asked automatically sitting up in the middle of the field, a look of slight annoyance on her face, possibly because he was there and it somewhat ruined the fun she was having before she saw him.

I have a little disease called laziness, you may have heard of it. Makes people do stuff later than they should.

In Character

Between the time he had putted about the area and when the little voice piped up he had taken to pulling out weeds out from the graves chucking them as far away from them as he could. He hadn't a clue why he was doing such it was was just that they looked so pitiful in his eyes as they were being consumed by nature, the lost should be respected not covered and hidden. Besides, was not this a part of history? Beneath these stone signs were the remains of a race long gone, shouldn't something of history be respected? So he continued pulling the weeds from the bases and ripping the vines of little flowers growing up the stone.

He'd likely regret this later all this pulling and tugging, but for now he was somewhat enjoying this unneeded little task. A soft smile started to form across his lips, okay, he was enjoying this too much! After he pulled the last bit of the flowers off he dusted the top of the grave off with his hand, how many more after this? Hopefully not a lot more or so he thought, but as he looked about he started to second think this task seeing all the gravestones. As a young high pitched, loud voice squeaked out he totally lost train of thought and straightened up from crouching over looking over at the little girl.

Just hearing the voice one could tell the bottle was just a child and with that any sort of whacky thought of the other harming him went away, after all how could a child possibly harm someone? They were too innocent and kind. An amused snort whistled out his nose, bold and brave children were never scared to ask a single question. He quite envied that trait. So he wouldn't have to yell Kase moved forward closing the gap between him and the puppy, but left plenty of room in case she decided to turn tail and head home.

"I could say the same of you, haven't your parents taught you not to talk to strangers? I could be the big bad wolf for all you know."

For once in a while there was no stutter and he felt triumphant about that. A brief smile crossed his face again, his mother lived by that stranger rule and for a while he did, too. The smile settled back on his face and stayed as he watched the child. Who knew there'd even be someone out here let alone a pup?

Eclipse watched him, her eyes taking in all she could. Why was he doing all that? What was the point? Why not the rest of the plants? These questions all came into her head all at once, but she knew there was a time and place to ask, but that was not now. When she had asked her question he moved closer to her, but not too close to make her feel uncomfortable. She stared at him, quiet for a second before answering him.

"Cause if you were, you'da eated me by now. My mommy and daddy are cwose, so you shouldn't try to be the bad wolf."

She was mostly bluffing, but she knew that if something happened to her here, that someone was going to hear and come to her rescue. it didn't occur to her that they might just come a little too late.

"My name is Eclipse. What's yours, and what were you doing?

She asked, her tail swayed back and forth a little waiting for an answer to come, it was bound to come she was sure of it.
