The waves created a constant swishing noise that managed to partially block out the voices that screamed at her. On the quartz Shoreline Jace Wolfe could finally breathe in some manner of sense. Her life had fucked up so much since she had last been here and she recognised the place as the same one where she had met with Alaki not a couple of days ago. Back when she was pregnant and had her first ever litter to look forwards to with her loving mate by her side... and now? Jace stared into the ocean before her with a desolate look in her usually bright mismatched eyes.
Jace was on her knees in the sand, with the waves and swell swirling about her knees, wetting the fur through. It was so tempting to just walk into the waves and hold her breath until she no longer lived. Her babies were dead and it was all her fault, they had depended on her to provide them a safe home while they developed and grew, trusted her to keep them safe from monsters like Lucifer and she had failed them, both of them. There was no telling whether or any belonged to Temo or Lucifer because they were both the same apart from Tailo who had a splash of grey on his paw. They would never set thier eyes upon the sun and the moon nor ever see snowflakes fall or experience anything of the world apart from those short minutes they had spent gasping for the breath that thier tiny bodies couldnt process, with thier efforts being in vain.
A soft whimper fell from the females lips and her hands fisted into the wet sand, two twin tears dropping into the water, small ripples flowing out from thier impact with the seawater.
