Early morning. PP approved by Kitty beforehand. ♥ For Shaw's baby girl.

Being an Anzu was weird. He'd taken a moment away from Alaki and the kids to visit Naniko, who had suggested he start working now that he was settled in. She'd mentioned the Anzu rank and it had seemed to be the best rank for him, despite how he'd considered being a pupsitter too. His tier had been chosen, so now he was due for a check-in at AniWaya, the pack most known to keep animals. It made perfect sense.

What didn't make sense was how much effort he'd put into convincing Alaki to come along. It probably didn't help that he'd woken the poor guy early in the morning with excited babble about going to visit another pack. Key had complained at first, but after some more excited babble and some 'pretty please' and a rather adorable puppy-eyes face, he'd convinced the older male to come along.

After packing some jerky for a snack, a flask of water and of course, Carissa (who'd refused to stay behind, much to Matteo's dismay), they left. It was still early in the morning by the time the two had left the territory, but despite the time and chill in the air, Matteo was still bouncing. He'd never had the chance to visit another pack before, especially without Giuseppe to tag along beside him. This was a new adventure.

At some point, he'd grabbed hold of Alaki's arm, refusing to let go despite how suggestive it might've looked. Do you think they'll have horses? Maybe I could work out a trade for one. I could learn to ride it and it would make it so much easier to go places.. He babbled on. He'd slipped into Italian a few times during the walk, but now he was speaking English just fine.

They reached the borders in good time and by that time, Matteo had quieted down, his excitement turning to nerves instead. He pulled Alaki to a stop a good few feet away from the main borders, ears pinned back. What now? Do we just howl or something? He glanced up at Alaki, confusion and shyness written all over his face. He'd obviously forgotten that this would involve meeting new people.

In the bag that Teo carried, Carissa poked her head out, a piece of jerky dangling from her jaws. She looked around the area, squeaking her displeasure at not being allowed to roam and explore. Teo paid no mind for once, only reacting when she climbed out of the bag and up onto his shoulder.

WC: 520 - Post fail x.x Key sulking over being woken up xD

In Character

Having always been alone or beside someone who feared his response, the Dasa had grown accustomed to going to sleep whenever he choose to, waking up when he felt like it and spending his days as he pleased. Each afternoon; for her rarely awoke in the mornings, he would go out and train, wander the Anathema border or maybe spend a day trying to train Beyaz and failing. Such was his life until an albino and raccoon began living in his small cave.

So, it was an unwelcome surprise to be awoken by Teo along with his excited, incoherent babble about going to Ani… wherever they were going. Yet, since it was rare to see the white one express such enthusiasm over something he could not say no and ended up being dragged along to god knows where, to do god knows what at some un-holy hour in the morning.

If not for the other holding onto his arm, he’d probably have drifted of in some random direction in his half asleep state, or decided to climb a tree and nap. Occasionally, he’d provide a grunt, a smile or some form of response to what Teo was saying, but the specifics did not register in his mind, for staying awake and moving was hard enough as it was at such an hour. A pang of guilt hit him for not paying the white one hardly any attention and he narrowed his eyes slightly and tried to focus on the other’s words, “Maybe. At least a horse can be kept outside, ‘cuse I’m not dealin’ with your brother again anytime soon.” He mumbled in response.

As the wind blew lightly across the lands, it now carried the distinct scent of a pack; a tell tale sign that the pair were approaching a border, which meant it was time to wake up and play bodyguard for Teo… more like babysitter with how excited he is. As the veil of sleep began to lift, he paid more attention to the others words this time.

His mouth fell open and he yawned loudly, completely relaxed and carefree; which was more to do with a sleep filled mind than confidence. Finishing yawning, he took in a deep breath and threw back his head, letting out a piercing howl. “That should get someone’s attention” he said, his voice relaying his non-existent excitement about being wherever they were.

Turning to Beyaz, who remained perched on his shoulder; the white crow equally as tired and as miserable as his owner, and let out a low whistle and indicated towards the border. It had taken many hours of hard, patience-testing work to teach the pest how to scout and relay information, since the young Dasa did not speak low speech. Eventually, Beyaz had learned that such a whistle meant to fly ahead and then return and caw how many he saw approaching.

Once commanded, the albino crow took off and flew in the direction of the border. Blue eyes turned to look into red rimmed ones, “Just sending him ahead to check the area out, better safe than sorry”.

WC:522 OOC: Big Grin <3

Life couldn’t have been better for the Utina woman. She had finally returned home, and was going to have puppies, though the due date wasn’t now, nor would it be for a while more, but she was now showing, her shaggy belly, which was normally flat and well kept with her exercises she did with the horses, was now rounded out, and she could start to feel the puppies move, but they were not yet strong enough to be felt outside so Nayati couldn’t share her sheer joy at the whole thing. Now though she was trying to hurry to break a particular horse, well train her at least. Liliana decided the other horse trainers could deal with the stallions until Liliana had her pups, but the docile females were good for her to work with even if there was always that danger that one could kick or throw her, but it wouldn’t be long before she couldn’t ride any longer. Today the white horse was giving her no problems as she was out taking a ride on the nameless horse. She had no time to give any of them names, but knew it wouldn’t be long before they showed the personalities that would give her their names. The white horse was a strong mare, very good for work, but Lili thought she would also be a good hunting horse or even just riding horse, whatever the case she still had to get the horse use to the saddle and use to others.

She was pretty deep in the forest when she heard the call, so she decided to take it, wondering what she would run into, it was probably another joiner, which was fine with her, the more her family grew the happier she was. Instead of one wolf she spotted two as she made her way to the fenced area where the borders of AniWaya started. She moved the white horse close to the fence before stopping her, and carefully getting down she stood up smiling at them, in a welcoming way.

“Hello, my name is Liliana Utina, and you are at the AniWayan borders, can I help you with anything?”

She asked looking at both of them as she spoke, her head turning from one to the other, she wanted to make sure both of them knew she was talking to them both. They were a strange pair, though their scent was even stranger, she had never smelled anything like it but she felt she would find out where they were from soon enough. She just knew this wasn’t going to be the normal meet and join as she could smell that they were a part of the pack, but this made the wolf-dog even more interested in what they wanted, because someone wanted something done about it. Her eyes looked over the smaller of the two and wasn’t sure how to react to him, and the larger of the two.... he looked like he was a guardian to the boy, who seemed excited when she had been able to view them from afar.

Matteo Trovato; Corperate Genius? :/

Alaki's less than thrilled response was hardly worth noting. What was worth paying attention to, however, was that peircing howl he let loose. That sound, known only to be voiced by wolves, sent chills down the coydog's spine, making his grip on his arm tighten just a bit. His ears perked up (a rare sight) just in time to catch a few echoes as the sound came back at them. Teo's attention turned back to Alaki. I'm jealous of that, you know.

He watched as the taller wolf send Beyaz off to scout, nodding at Alaki's words that followed. Smart little bird. He commented idly, taking a moment to look down at Carissa, who had since gone to hide inside the bag again, spooked by her Other Daddy's scary song. Teo knew she'd get used to it eventually on her own, so he didn't bother trying to coax her back out of the bag just yet. His shoulder wouldn't mind the break, anyway.

As the Italian lad was musing over this, the sound of hoofbeats came into range. He glanced up from the bag, ears flicking up again but not perking the whole way. Someone's coming. For a moment, he wondered where Beyaz was, but that wonderment passed when the horse and her rider came into view. The beast was beautiful, and the rider was a lovely looking woman, one obviously early into a pregnancy.

She addressed them both politely and despite how he'd normally take a backseat in situations like this, Matteo stepped away from Alaki's arm (finally) and smiled. My name's Matteo Trovato. These two are Alaki and Carissa... He gestured to each respectively, happily discovering Carissa had poked her head out in the meantime. Good girl. We're from Anathema. I was hoping to get a few pointers on animal care, now that I'm an Anzu. I was told AniWaya was the best place for that.

He paused a moment, going over everything he'd just said. Despite how shy he was, when it came to business and work, the boy took on a whole new way of thinking. He was great with kids, wonderful with animals, a loyal friend and trustworthy companion... but most importantly, as any Trovato was, a fantastic business partner. It was in the boy's blood to form long-lasting relationships with people he'd be trading or working with, simple as that.

WC: 524 - Serious Post fail x.x Beyaz and Alaki being a bunch of miserable drama queens :')

In Character

A smile touched his lips despite his sleep deprived, miserable state. “What can I say? When you’ve got it, you’ve got it” he wiggled his eyebrows playfully at the albino, the lifted his head back once more and yawned loudly. No matter the situation, the young Dasa was and most likely never would be, a morning wolf and so he was absolutely miserable to be up and moving on so little sleep; but he’d grin and bare it, for if he didn’t tag along, god forbid if Matteo decided to venture of on his own.

“Don’t compliment him, can’t have the pests head getting any bigger than it already is” as the words left his mouth he glared at the direction he’d sent the bird. Although he’d managed to teach the devil to count those approaching, the white bird had yet to master the whole idea of ‘return and report’.

Unlike how his negativity had lead him to believe, it wasn’t long before someone answered his call. The soft, repetitive sound of hooves connecting with the ground reached his ears; he’d passed the horses kept at Anathema a few times and the sound was distinct and also a good sign, for if it was a horse approaching, the creature should have a rider with some knowledge to help Teo.

As the female emerged, he watched her closely; keeping a constant eye on her and the horse in case either made a move in which he deemed dangerous. Strangers were to be treated as an enemy until they prove otherwise; it was what his father had taught him and he believed in the words strongly. Only rarely did he ever skip over the caution and trust someone new immediately.

When the other introduced herself, he nodded reluctantly in welcome, choosing to stand aside and allow Matteo to do all the talking. Relaxing into his stance as the albino took control over the conversation; he crossed his arms over his chest and silently stood alongside the smaller male, as a dutiful bodyguard should.

Once Matteo had introduced those present, he looked around and began to survey the area in more detail. Only a matter of seconds had passed when his pierced ear twitched at the familiar sound of beating wings. Quickly, in a startled fashion he uncrossed his arms and raised one so that the albino crow could land. Without any warning, the bird crashed into him… the pest seemed to have misjudged his landing and missed the Dasa arm completely, colliding straight into his chest with a piercing cry. Grabbing the white bird, he lifted it so it could perch upon his shoulder. As he was about to apologise for his pets dramatic entrance, the crow let out a single, low crow to announce he’d only seen one canine approaching. “No shit”.

Turning to the female, now completely embarrassed due to his nuisance of a pet, he let out a low sigh. “And this is Beyaz, pay him no attention.” He raised a hand to stroke the bird’s chest in hope that the white bird would behave itself now that it had gotten some attention.

Liliana Utina
Some pretty lyric goes here trallala

The pair that stood before her were quite.... how could she put it? Strange; that was the best word for it .She stood her ground listening to the younger of the two speak. He spoke of pointers on being an animal care and Liliana smiled. That was right up the woman’s ally. She was about to answer when a pure white bird came to land on the older, darker male’s shoulder.. It had the same pink tinge to its eyes as Matteo did. She wondered if the larger male was a collector of white things, and wondered the relationship between the two were. She figured it was best not to find out. She heeded Aleki’s word, she was never a fan of birds anyway.

“Yes we actually have many animals. I can easily give you pointers. Was tehre anything in particular you would like to know?”

She asked. Animal care was quite a broad subject, especially one with so many animals to benefit from, she thought she might know what he was more interested though. Most people were. Horses had always been a travel favorite, and many wolves owned them, more than the sheep or the cows at least
