Hope for thread: All welcome! But maybe a small scuffel or emotional interaction such as news of the past weeks in Aniwaya or anything that might strike a cord in the young Saxif. She's too cheery all the time I need a little bit of a change to liven up my muse.

Saxif had returned to the borders of her home. She had a trying couple weeks in Pheonix Valley, but the barn was finished and was something the ivory wolf would pride in for years to come. She had checked her traps and found some had been robbed in her absence but she was fine with that. She had meant to take them home before her leave but figured at least others would get a meal thanks to her. The freshest catches had been two rabbits and a squirrel. She was glad and hoped to bring home the offering to her hospitable pack mates. She missed her new home because it had been such a short week before she was sent on her first major job. She thought to herself that she wouldn’t leave the grounds for days unless to check her traps.

Saxif wondered what her pack mates might think of her new colours. It had been a gift to herself, a pledge to her new found confidence. Her ivory fur was now dyed with reddish pink streaks a top her head to her shoulders. Just below her left eye a vine of red spirals. She wanted to feel unique when the rainbow wolf offered her the option to colour herself. She felt he had helped her accomplish this task.

The decorated blonde wolf tied the final rabbit to her belt and set her last trap. She excitedly set on her way to the borders of Aniwaya fixed on falling into the hammock of her shared home. She would wait to say hi to her friends, her exhaustion winning over societal need.

Before she reached the borders she noticed a smell in the air. It was the presence of someone else nearby. She felt it her duty to seek out who was lurking on the perimeter of her pack. She wondered if it was someone doing patrols or if it was a newcomer. This time of night had often raised her heartbeat, her anxiety rose; it was exciting to seek out something in such low light. It was the hunter in her; she enjoyed scouting prey and moving in a silent manner. If it was a friend she would hopefully surprise them, if not at least she would get first glance.

Ayasha had had a tough couple of weeks. She had found Shiloh hurt and traumatized, but she didn't really know why. So the white female wolf was on edge. She was especially wary of the borders since someone had come and hurt her friend. And Ayasha wasn't going to let that happen again.

Yet she was also tired from worry over her friend. So she really shouldn't be patrolling but it helped calm her and process things. So when there was some rustling, her ears perked up but it didn't come for awhile so she chalked it up to exhaustion. It didn't really help that it was night but she often patrolled when she was unable to patrol.

But there was a part of her that was wary. So when there was the slightest snapping of a twig, she whirled around to see who was there. She didn't see anyone but that didn't mean they weren't there. She sniffed. They were either from AniWaya or Phoenix Valley. It was hard to tell because the scents were mixed. Hello? Is there anyone there? She called out.

She seen the younger pale female shortly after finding the scent, she quietly shifted about her. The female was aware of her presence after a few seconds of her play. Saxif felt she still needs to work on her sneakiness in her optime form, well maybe all forms. She picked up a twig to see if the girl would find her. As she snapped it the sound echoed in the quiet of the night making it seem to eminate from various directions. She tired of her game quickly. Saxif knew this wolf to be the one people called Ayasha. The first time she had seen her she knew who she was but had felt awkward to approach her before. She had smelled of a male she had met a week before her arrival to Aniwaya and knew this was the one he had adored.

Saxif smiled lightly before stepping from behind a nearby brush. Good evening Ayasha, you have good senses. The decorated ivory wolf had noticed then as she stepped closer that the girl was troubled and tired. Forgive me if I scared you. She lifted her string of catches just then. Care for a snack? The young hunter hoped it would make the girl feel better. Little did she know that the white wolf bore news that would soon become her own troubles.

Whoever it was, apparently liked to play. Well, Ayasha usually liked to play, but not this game. She was too on edge to like this. She studied the wolf that popped out of the darkness. She had seen her around AniWaya but didn't know her name. The other wolf however seemed to know her name. That's me. What is your name? She was still a little cautious. She knew that the female was AniWaya but she was tired and troubled by Shiloh.

About being scared, she sighed. With what has happened, it's not surprising that I'm on edge. She didn't know that Saxif didn't know what had happened to Shiloh. At the offer of food, she cocked her head to the side and gave a small smile. If you're sure. I take it your a hunter?

Out of Character, Word Count, Etc.

Saxif held out her hand a moment after Ayasha spoke. Forgive me my name is Saxif Goldenfeather and yes I am indeed a hunter. The wolf’s face became thoughtful just then. What has been going on lately? She absently played with the small wolf carving hanging on her neck, it was as though she sort of sensed what the pup was about to speak. She tilted her head to the side questioningly. Saxif couldn’t imagine what troubles could be brought to this pack of noble canines. All she knew is that what ever it was she would stand strong and protect her village with no question or regret. She hoped the seriousness of the issue would be mundane, a problem just within the pup’s personal life. The ivory wolf often enjoyed being a listening ear so long as her own past troubles were kept to herself.

Her newest of friends in the pack was a great example of how she enjoyed being a friend. The scarred female was her greatest envy she didn’t know how to describe it but just that she adored her. Saxif was raised to honor the brave and that is how she saw the girl. She was curious to learn of the news the pup bore so she asked the question again. What has happened Ayasha?

Ayasha nodded at Saxif being a hunter. I'm a scout. Apparently the golden wolf didn't know what had happened. Ayasha herself wasn't completely sure of what had happened. No one had told her much about Shiloh beyond a male had attacked her.

She sighed and thought of how best to explain. Well. A few days ago I was patrolling and I heard someone howl for help. I ran to them and it was Shiloh. Apparently a male attacked her somehow. So I've been wary of strangers and scared for Shiloh. Her eyes flickered to the figurine. It looked like something that Shiloh had made. Did Shiloh make that?

The ivory wolf’s heart sank as her stomach grew hot. Someone had harmed her friend. Her thoughts ran rampant with vengeance and worry. What had they done to her? Was she ok? Her heart pounded as the thoughts grew dark. The things she would do to the one responsible for laying a paw on her friend. She thought of how she would hunt them like a lowly rabbit. Quietly sneaking on their trail and hanging them with thin rope until their necks snapped or throat bled. She thought further yet to the gruesome outcome of their inevitable demise, the gutting and skinning.

She was pacing back and forth silently in front of the pup thankful her thoughts were her hidden. She gripped the small wolf that hung on her neck with a tight clutch her thoughts now back to worry. Yes Shiloh made this for me. Is she ok? Is she safe? She started for the village suddenly but stopped abruptly. She shouldn’t leave the pup alone, especially at this time of night.

She sat just then overwhelmed with exhaust and emotion unable to bear her weight no more. Saxif had never known of someone being intentionally and physically hurt by another. It was such a foreign concept to the young wolf but here she was. Presented with an injured friend the perpetrator loose. She did what any friend would do. She cried. It was the first time she had cried since her best friend and sister’s betrayal. Though the emotions were similar she knew this had been worse. It wasn’t her pain to bear it was Shiloh’s. The already scarred female now pained again. It was no moment to envy; it was a moment to feel just as she did. Angry, worried, sad, scared all for her friend and what has happened. Worse yet she didn’t even know what had happened so the worst of the worst bombarded her mind. Therefore Saxif cried for her friend hugging her legs in the dark.

Ayasha watched as the ivory female became upset. She could only assume that Saxif was planning to do something awful to the man that hurt Shiloh in ways that she didn’t really want to know about. There many things happening that it was better that she didn’t know about but she probably would know when she was a bit older. She was curious as to what exactly happened but also knew deep down that she really shouldn’t know and so did ask her mother more details about what happened.

Her blue eyes followed the other wolf as she paced. She sighed as she tried to explain how their friend was. Physically, I think she’s doing well. But emotionally, I think whatever the male did to her caused her scars on the inside. Her eyes widened slightly as Saxif started to the village. I don’t think she is wants or is able to have visitors.

Ayasha sat near the ivory huntress. As she cried, Ayasha gave her a hug, hoping that all this pain and anger would be resolved soon, for everyone’s sake, but especially Shiloh’s. She started to rock Saxif as Ayasha soon started to cry for Shiloh, the scarred female that was almost like her sister. She was exhausted but would stay as long the huntress needed her.

WC: 500+, If you decide they should go sleep we’ll end it there, or they can chat a while longer if you like ^_^

Saxif pressed her face into the pups shoulder as she released her emotions. She gripped her side as though feeling smaller than the young girl in that moment. She had not cried like this since her best friend chose her sister over her and then too she had been comforted in the same manner. The feel of being rocked and comforted by this girl brought back the forgotten or blocked memory. She was comforted not by her uncle, her mother nor her father; the only one who knew of her pain was her guard. The youngest of the three had known she needed just what was provided to her in this particular moment of sadness. He had been with her when the argument erupted between herself and her friend Hillon. It had been the final of many determining factors that made her leave her home those short months back. Her guard was always there for her she realized in that moment, through everything he had always been there. It had been the thought that slowed her gasps and whimpers brought by the worry of her friend Shiloh. She had than similar hope of always having someone, not just in the pup but also in the pack. She would not be judged for weakness just that she was sad for her friend.

She felt exhausted by the overwhelming outburst, she knew it was best to allow the scarred female to heal. She would try to keep her distance and Saxif knew just how hard that would be. She had not made many good friends in the past but felt Shiloh was one of her best, it was why she wore the small-carved wolf around her neck. It was a strange idea because they had not spent a whole lot of time together but Saxif always went with her heart in matters such as this. Therefore she would wait, she would pray and she would follow any command given. She just hoped to be witness to the end of the creature if not brought by her bow. She knew her pack would not rest until this matter was dealt with and she was glad for that.

She realized she had stopped crying and looked at the pup with watery eyes and smiled a tiny smile. Thank you Ayasha, for staying with me. I know you must be exhausted, I am too. She slowly released the pup from her firm grip and carefully wobbled to a stand. If you would like an escort home or to complete your scout I’m more than happy to accompany you. It’s the least I can do. Saxif felt light as though everything that had happened in the past was momentarily gone, the emotions vented in that release. It was a good feeling even though her worry remained. She decided she needed to do this more often, to just let go. Everything that happened was out of her control so the best thing to do was move forward. She reached her hand down to help the girl rise.

OOC: Let's end it.

IC: Ayasha allowed the older golden female to cry on her shoulder, even as tears fell down her face as well. She started to slowly rub Saxif’s back as she started to calm down. It made her feel better to not only cry herself but also to comfort someone else who loved and was sad for Shiloh. Shiloh needed as much support as she could get and Ayasha was going to make sure that as much of the Tribe got in on it.

It was almost as if Ayasha knew that Saxif was tired because she was getting tired as well. She needed sleep and badly. She was blissfully unaware of Saxif’s murderous thoughts, though she would most likely join in the act if she knew about those thoughts. She mostly wanted everything to be back to normal for not only Shiloh but also for the Tribe as a whole.

She returned the watery smile. I’m about ready to fall over. She then gave a massive yawn to prove her point. At being escorted, she gave a real smile. Well, I’m done with my rounds, so some company to my family’s treehouse would be nice. She reached up and accepted Saxif’s offer of help. Shall we?
