Where to start was the ultimate question that reigned in the Jinne’s mind. Converting from Wahrer to Jinne wasn’t as cumbersome as she thought it would be. Wahrer in the Dahlian language meant something along the lines of a hunter. While every Luperci possessed basic instinct of hunting (for it was in their survival genes), Alae never looked at herself as truly strategic when it came to coordinating hunts. Jinne, on the other hand, was the ‘Beloved of God’ and of the highest spiritual rank in Ichika. Tremendously honored and grateful to receive a prestige position in Ichika, the Sidhe surely wouldn’t fail her new title and practice. It was only but the perfect placement, and now Alae could really begin to execute her practices with a more official title.

After their first meal ceremony before the next morning where they would set out to explore the regions of Ichika, Alae hauled along her satchels that clinked audibly with the jars of dried herb and incense that were encapsulated within them. Even since the arrival, it appeared Kael had taken a profound interest in the new surroundings himself, as the snowy owl couldn’t keep him perched upon her shoulders; he needed to fly into his new habitat, to explore the branches and canopies to where he would find himself looming. For this, Alae decided to follow the path that Kael flew. The weather was growing increasingly warmer in this particular afternoon, seemingly as the two companions ascended the Halcyon Mountain range. While the air was crisp, at the same time it was beginning to become winded from the increase in elevation. Kael destined to fly higher, and while it was taking somewhat of Alae’s breath away from her, the Sidhe persisted forth.

Coming to a point where there were peculiar structures in the distance, Kael noticed this as well, and flew forth. They were thought of as nothing but human remains from centuries ago until a towering statue among a flight of steps caught Alae’s eyes in inquisitiveness. The four corners of the roof appeared to be slightly turned upward, and the closer they approached, the more strange familiarity struck the Sidhe. Such statues and patterns were remembered in her teachings from her grandmother when she was very young, and close enough where she could see the great statue overlooking the grand staircase that led up to the shrine, Alae dropped all three satchel bags, the jars within them sounding like several might have shattered against some. Alae couldn’t care if they all shattered.

Looking down upon her was no other than Siddhartha Buddha himself.

Whether it was fate, or even Kael (who soared farther ahead, and landed on the edge of one of the upturned fixtures of the roof), it led her to a hidden sanctuary of awakening. Siddhartha was the universal symbol for the very meditation and yoga she practiced, and couldn’t believe a sanctuary had been hidden here throughout the centuries. Rubbing her eyes once, twice, three times, and then blinking rapidly, Alae couldn’t believe what was before her. She read about these in ancient books, and only dreamed to visit such a sanctuary when she was older. Needn’t wait anymore in her life to do so, a sacred Buddhist sanctuary, at the peak of Ichika, was at her paws. Chills instantly ran through her arms and raised her guard hairs. If this was destiny, then Kael must have known all along; about Dahlia, about this, somehow. Perched he sat, almost as if smitten with his discovery.

Alae could do nothing but stare agape at the entrance, almost afraid to even ascend the stone staircase. It was the most beautiful thing her eyes have ever seen, and for once was completely moved in shock.

Sorry for the wait and shortness. Life has been super awesome but also super busy <3 350

Nayru knew the lands a little better than most the others. Her and Razekiel had roamed it and combed it before they had settled on where to mark the borders, but even so she did not know the rolling mountain side like she had known Dahlia de Mai. Dahlia de Mai had been the land she grew up in, every inch of the forest, shoreline and towns were known to the girl. As a child she had been a wraith, moving among the secret trails of Dahlia de Mai. Now she moved through Ichika no Ho-en like a statue, regal and tall and certainly not hidden. Ichika was not Dahlia, and Nayru in Ichika was not Nayru in Dahlia. While it was a new existence to her, the black and white lady was not surprised to find it already felt like home to her.

While she made the rounds, making sure everything was moving as smoothly as it could in the first few days of getting acquainted with their new home, Nayru soaked in the details of Ichika. Sooner or later she would know it like she knew Dahlia de Mai but part of her enjoyed the novelty of the new lands. Even though she had been over and over the mountain, the beauty of the view still took her breath away. Although Nayru had gone up and down the coast several times she couldn't quit marveling on the way the sands changed color as one moved up and down the shoreline. And although she had already spent some time in the Abbey, the beautifully decorated building still made her paused when she came upon it, which is where she was headed at quite a steady pace.

As the Jiryu came upon her destination ruby eyes fell on a figure that seemed to suffer the same affliction Gampo Abbey caused in herself. Alae Sidhe stood motionless at the bottom of the magnificent stairway. On silent feet Nayru came upon her, announcing herself with the soft, whispery manner of speaking that was so characteristic of her. "It's quite beautiful, isn’t it?"

And I'm sorry for mine. Freaking work... SMH.

Enraptured by the awe of silence and admiration, the approach of Nayru from behind slightly jolted the Sidhe from her temporary spell of intrigue. Her head turned quickly, the braids whipping themselves lightly as her sky blue eyes darted to gleam at Nayru herself, in half surprise and half excitement. It was only until her eyes couldn't help but turn back to the eroded structure of the temple before them, her eyes seeking out the intricate patterns and details of the building that miraculously stood through all these years, perhaps even centuries on end.

Only admiring Nayru from afar ever since joining Dahlia de Mai and later relocation to Ichika, this was the first encounter the two would share in each other's company alone. Nayru was a young Luperci, to which those of Alae's heritage would probably put under question for such a young female to hold a leadership like she did. However, to see a strong woman in leadership was a beautiful thing to the Sidhe, and even while Alae didn't yet know Nayru on a personal level, there was a blind confidence she held in her about Nayru. After all, Nayru and Raze led them to this sanctuary, for the well-being of both their packs. Alae kept looking onward, while Kael remained perched high above the two, gleaming down at them and gleaming from his position on the roof. "More than beautiful, I can't seem to put a single word to it." Alae then spoke, shaking her head softly. Her eyes would finally return to Nayru, inquiry running its course across her agouti features. "How did you and Raze even manage to find this? Intuition?" Treasures such as this temple in the middle of the wilderness were like searching for needles in haystacks, and Alae wondered if Nayru might have had a spiritual intuition behind this, or if herself and Raze simply stumbled upon it by chance.

eee. sorry for the wait again. Short posts for us mebbe? 317

Alae whipped her head around and Nayru was pleased to find that the ebony and ivory lady still, even when she did not intent to, stepped silently. Before her rise to leadership, Nayru had been a living ghost among the Dahlians--a luxury she could no longer afford given the demands of the Ryus now. Now the silent girl was, as much as anyone could describe the humble Nayru, front and center in the pack. And yet the Jiryu remained quiet and introverted--a phantom presence most of the time. It was a nice balance to the more boisterous and free spirited Razekiel. While one would open their arms and snatch everyone in a embrace with the colorful words warm and dripping, the other would watch and learn and calculate and smile upon them all with that half grin. Together they created an equilibrium in the leader ranks, together neither was too serious nor too silly.

As Alae admired the temple, Nayru watched her approvingly. Most everyone had fallen into fitting ranks, and she believed Alae was no exception. There hadn't been much time to get to know the girl before the move had sprung it's self upon everyone, but Nayru was confident that Alae was a blessed and genuine being. The Jiryu couldn't be more pleased that Alae had taken up the rank of Jinne. "What is meant to be will find a way to happen." Nayru knew her words, which upon other words might be construed as cryptic, would be understood here. Neither Razekiel or Nayru had been looking, but it had been here, waiting to be found by them. "Have you gotten acquainted with the inside? You know, you especially are given free roam of this temple." Saul held the other prestige rank for the Herald class, but he was a healer of bodies. Alae perhaps would be the healer of mind and spirit.
