The male was still scouting to try to find the best place to sit and gather his thoughts; the shifted tripod took this notebook and charcoal pencil. He knew that the one thing that had not change from the pack was the stars, they would always be there. Never changing, it was like if you knew them well enough they could tell you just about anything. The more the male found him-self looking out at the night sky asking him-self the million questions that he always had running though his mind, the more he started to see connections in the weather, season, and just about everything else with the stars. The silver male moved higher and higher, trying to find the right spot, thinking if he went high enough that he would be able to get a clear view, but something always changed his path to other areas of the pack lands.

This night the male had wondered to the shore line as the lighting bugs flickered along, moving in no such one pattern or another, the male looked down shore line there was nothing for the two toned blue eyed best to see but miles(or what looked like it) of creamy white sand. With a soft sigh, of relaxation the male sat down criss crossed upon the sand, opening the book on his lap as he started to chart the stars that laid out in the sky above him.

Two days had passed since his ward and he had found the apartment building that would serve as their home. Yesterday had been spent showing Gideon and Melee round the entire building, talking constantly about his plans for the place. Of course, they were yet to move in- the two Stormbringer males had to make sure it was safe and sound before they even thought about moving their families into the building. Within the next few days they would make sure everything was okay and then move in. It wasn't the best of places to be- it was a bit run down and decaying round the edges from the decades of abandonment. But Saul was a good carpenter and his carving skills were becoming good. The brothers would fix their home up little by little, the agouti male was sure of it. He himself would spend a few hours each day doing something to it- whether fixing the outside to make it look more presentable, asking Siku to do something with the garden and the weeds and ivy that crawled all over the bricks on the outside, to inside, making sure the lobby was back to its former glory. The apartment was going to need regular upkeep, but as long as everyone helped out with it, the place would be fine. He had named it Cerne Rise and had yesterday began to work on a large wooden plaque to sit on the building wall, announcing that this was their home. But for now they must stay away for a moment, perhaps the next few days would see them living in Cerne Rise.

Still, the innate curiosity in the man that had stemmed over from his puppy months had him settling the almost-shifting aged pale pup down in the abandoned office they had temporarily claimed as sleeping place until Cerne Rise was safe, kissing Siku on the cheek and whispering softly that he would be back soon, before exiting the building. The cool summer air hit him and the agouti male filled his lungs with the wonderful smell. He had often wondered over the past week how on earth he was going to fit in with Razekial and Nayru's ideas on spiritual connections with the earth, peace and love for all. He was a peaceful man, but he had never really thought about the earth he walked upon. However, breathing in the fresh grass and flower scent weaving its way across his coat, spring green eyes open to the beauty around him, he felt just a little better about what was going to happen to him. He could learn to love the natural world he lived in, he could learn to worship the 'Great Mother' Razekial spoke of. And it eased his soul to think this.

Creamy paws made quick and quiet work of the ground beneath him. Cinnamon backed ears had picked up the faint thunder and crash of the ocean and he'd been pulled towards it. He headed for the eastern parts of the territory, having glimpsed a beach there early this morning on his regular run. As he approached, the silvery form of a wolf he didnt know came to him and Saul smiled softly It would be nice to talk to the former Phoenix Valley members, get to know them. They would be family soon enough, so why stay away. He shifted quickly up into his two-legged form, approaching the sands with a small smile on his face. As he came closer he saw a stick of charcoal in the mans hand, a piece of paper with hundreds of marked points on it. What a skill to have. "Good evening... A beautiful night for gazing at the stars, don't you think?" Saul commented before sitting down facing the ocean a few yards away from the man. Better not intrude completely on whatever he was doing.

Time was passing slowly as the male started to chart where the stars where located that night. It was a long process, but it was something that the silver male knew that he could use to understand the shifting in times, and maybe one day if he ever has a littler of pups he could pass down the knowledge of the stars and the stories behdie him, the silver male had been seeing pictures of things with in the stars, the male wanted to know more, he knew he was going to have to make the sad long trip back to the Valley’s old lands and go to the library and find some books on stars and the stories that these shapes told. Oh, but then again he would have to find a female that loved him and would stick around long enough to have a litter of pups with him, and that seemed not so likely to have happened.

Making another mark in his leather bound old book the male looked down to the book, flipping the pages, looking to where the stars where the night before as to where they were now. The male looked a bit confused as he flipped through the pages, strange to see the movements, ever so slight as it was they were still changes and shift. The silver male flipped back to an older page and located a star on the paper then looked up to the sky, to find the placement as he found it, lifting up and pulling the pencil out of his mouth the male jotted it down in the book where it was.

Hearing the voice of the stranger the male shook his head, he was off in his own little world once again, and the male looked over to the brown mottle sable male, with a nod. ”It is. “ The silver beast was always one with very little words. ”Noah” He spoke softly as if he was in fear of waking a sleeping babe up.

It was a strange thing for the male to be out at night, especially these days. Though it was true that most wolves were active at night, Wretch and Siku usually slept and therefore Saul slept with them. Still, there were occasions in Dahlia where he left the cabin at night to hunt or to walk amoung the stars. And this was a time where he was happy to leave them sleeping. Wretch wasnt up to much still and she needed all the healing sleep she could get. So the male had left the confines of the office building they had temporarily taken up residence to come out here. And he was glad he did. He felt like her were on the edge of the world, teetering and wheeling his arms to try and stay on dry land. It was not an unpleasent feeling, the vertigo of being on the edge of the island and know there was nothing you could do to stop yourself from falling. The silvery male he had found started at his voice and Saul smiled softly. A man of very little words it seemed, for he said three.

"Saul Stormbringer"

He offered in return, settling down with his strong arms looped casually across his knees drawn up towards his body. Not a defensive or passive position- his limbs were too far apart to be accused of such a thing. His feet dug into the sand, still warm from the heat of the earlier day. Green eyes were wide as they gazed up, trying his best to see what the male beside him saw. But the more he stared the more blurred the pinpricks became and he blinked rapidly to get his eyes to focus again. With a soft sigh and a shake of his head, the male turned back to the one named Noah, wondering where on earth he had learnt to read the sky like that. Comparing the dots of charcoal on the silvered mans paper to the sky above, Saul found a surprisngly accurate image of the stars on the page.

"How did you learn to read the stars?"

He asked quietly. The peace of the night washed over the agouti male and he smiled softly to himself. He hadnt understood what Nayru and Razekial had been on about when they proposed the move, but the Stormbringer was beginning to see it now.

The male found the stars to be something that he personally could enjoy while also helped him deal with the stressors that he found in his life, it was something for him to do to pass the time and help him accept these lands as his new home. As for the entire male knew right now, no one had joined him from the Valley, sick and sad fact how the pack had fallen apart, since Jefferson handed them over. The male wouldn’t say that though, he would let the new leaders find the loyal members and bring this new pack to be a strong, faith loving one that they had in mind when they brought the members here.

Watching the male sitting down near him and push his feet into the sand the silver male put the pencil in his mouth and then shutting the book upon his leg. With his one hand he guided it down gingerly between his legs onto the cool surface of the sand, looking over to the male, hands. It wasn’t that he fear him…to much he just didn’t feel right looking him in the eyes. He didn’t know this male other than just a first and last name, he wasn’t sure on a lot of the members around here, he could only hope that in time he would be able to find that happiness to be around the other members like he did back in the Valley.

Noah pulled his shoulders up into his neck, really not sure how nor when he learned how to read them. ”Show you.” The male with very little words said as he picked the book back up, as he started at the first page, he pointed to a star keeping his claw on it, as he took the stub of his arm that was cut off right below the elbow as he pointed to the western sky. ”There she is, puh…puh..pretty isn’t she?” The Gen'un stuttered out, wincing at the stuttering in his voice, he sighed going back to the book then flipped to the next page with the free hand then pointing to the star again.

He had many plans of learning what every one of them shimmering little lights meant and the stories that could go along with them. That meant a lot of time and dedication would have to be put into this study, but really the silver male wolf truthfully wanted to know all of this and more, he wanted to know everything about this.

The silvery male seemed akward and hesitant, but that was to be expected. Two packs who perhaps hadnt interacted much despite their geographical closeness, thrown together to make a family. It was an odd choice, but one the male was glad had happened. There was so much opportunity out here, so much change. It was dizzying and scary, but there was an exhileration to it that the agouti male was fast becoming addicted to. So much to learn, so much to do. Friends to make, bonds to create and maintain. They would be a family one day, it was just going to take time for trust and friendship to grow. The agouti male himself, who hadnt exactly understood a lot of what Razekial said most of the time, was beginning to understand exactly what he meant when he spoke of these beautiful lands. A movement to his right caught the males attention and he watched the silvered male push the book down onto the sand, the pencil still in his mouth. However, as Saul's question came he picked it back up again, opening it to the first page.

Saul scooted closer, green eyes looking closely as the male pointed to one of the blobs on the page. It wasnt until the male raised his handless other arm that Saul realised he'd even had it removed. A powerful curiosity to ask about the amputation caught him in a chokehold but the male covered it quicky by looking up at where the man had pointed. A few looks back and forth told him that the sky looked very similar to the map on the page. With a smile, he nodded softly to show he understood. Noah spoke and Saul smiled encouragingly. He had stuttered over his p's, but that was a normal occurance. "Its very beautiful. I hadnt really ever looked at the stars before... I never realised..." He admitted, a little ashamed of the fact that he had never paid this much attention to the stars before. Ichika was definitely changing him, despite his only being there a few days.

A clawed hand turned to page and repeated the process again. He wondered if the male did this every night- whether he sat out here each night and plotted the stars to see changes and anything else that was going on. "How often do you map the stars?" He asked with a curious expression on his face. He had never met an astrologer before and Noah intrigued him.

The young male moved closer to him, looking at the book and then Noah saw the blur of his head turning up to the sky. Noah then was glad that he had been keeping a psychical log of the stars and where they were at each night. With the issues that the Gen'un had with talking using the book and his stub of any arm, helped show the other male of the pack what he was talking about with the stars. With each day the male was jotting down where the stars where at for the night, he had not yet come to naming the stars, the male smiled glad to see someone else able to understand this quickly growing habit. ”Someone we lo…lo..loved that luh..luha…left these lands, auh..har…are looking at th..thu….these same stars.” The silver coward sighed as he picked up the pencil and pushed rested it behide an ear, as he closed the book lightly placing this stub upon the book and then crossing his hand over the stub. The more he thought about why he was out here looking at these stars, the more sad it sounds, he really did miss both of the females that he had feel in love with.

Noah looked over to the tawny toned male as he admired the stars, Noah gave a light hearted chuckle glad that he had gotten someone to stop for this short little bit with the their busy day to look up and out to the stars and just watch them twinkle and shimmer in the darkness of the night sky. ”Nightly.” He confessed sheepishly, it was his time to be alone and gather thoughts and explore what was pulling him down into a sadden state. The night sky never told a soul when he whispered to them about his heart ace.”You where uh…ahh…ah… Dahlian? Before…thu…thus…this?” The male moved his good hand out motioning out to these lands, the new pack that they where wach a member of now.

[apologies for the wait, i found this hard to reply to for some reason]

Saul was so engrossed in looking from paper to stars, seeing the subtle changes as Noah sat out here night after, mapping the sky. Now that he could see the stars above him as well as the map Noah had already made, it seemed straightforward to draw what you saw. Of course, Saul couldnt have realised that it took more than that- you had to put everything into perspective, make acceptable scales and everything else that meant you got an accurate recording. He didnt at first understand what Noah was saying, but his brain pieced together the stuttered words and presented them to Saul in a complete sentence. He glanced over at Noah, a soft smile on his face. "Thats a beautiful way of thinking of those long gone..." He murmered, before turning skyward anymore. And his green eyes searched for those he held closest to his heart, but were so far away. His mother, for one. He had never known her, not really. His father, he hadnt ever really known him either. Shiloh and Ascher, who were lost out in the wilderness. He surprised himself by thinking of Conor, the one who had abandoned him, abandoned Dahlia. Noah admitted that he did this nightly as Saul turned back to him.

"Wow... thats commitment right there." He murmered, an odd sort of praise on his lips for the silverly male. Another pause and the male stuttered out another sentence. "Yeah, I came from Dahlia. Do you miss Phoenix Valley much?" He asked, thinking of his own home. It had not been his birthplace, but he'd spent almost all of his life there, discounting the two months lost in the wilds and the previous turmoil with his father. He missed it, but he was beginning to like Ichika and everything in it. It was a tug in both directions for him and for the moment he was content to be in the middle of it all.

OC: Same :/ want to call it an end soon? WC:3+

It was the full truth that Noah hoped that somewhere out there Yuki, and Ren was looking at the same stars thinking of the what could have been while wishing only the most happiness for whatever life path that they had taken. Noah missed both of the female’s he had fell in love with both of the females, but when it came time for him to commit to a relationship, he was never able to do that. He knew that if he was ever going to have a family he would need to commit, small baby steps would get him that way if he ever found someone to love again.

He sighed looking down at the book as he sighed and then looked back up to the dark night sky, it was nice to see the only light was from the stars, no fire, or anything, just the stars and the light from each other’s eyes. He chuckled with a smile, feeling embarrassed by the comment that younger male kindly spoke to him, and it was an obsession more than a hobby, he had to do this every night, he said good night to his mother, his lost sister, and the three females he feel in love with over his life, most one female per year of his life. He wished them happiness and said good night, the silver gimp didn’t feel right if he didn’t.

He shifted his lips to the side, like it was horrid thing for him to feel that way. However he would not lie about , he gave a slow nod. ”Yeah.. you?” He was thankful for these new lands that the new leaders picked out for them, there was so much more room, but the Valley was the lands that his mother had helped pick out and had helped take shape

[shall exit hurr. twas lovely threading with you deary <33]

A silence had befallen the two males and Saul was okay with letting that happen. It was always a shame when the person you were with couldnt let a silence mature. It was a little annoying to the male when he had met a wolf that simply had to fill the silence, even if it was with innane and pointless chatter. So the fact that Noah was fine with letting the silence stretch between them ticked off a few more points on his part in Saul's mind. He could feel their meeting had come to a close however and clung to the silence for a few moments longer before Noah's admission caused him to glanced back at the male. He was not simple, nor was he unclever. It would simply seem that he had very little use for words and therefore didnt use them as often as Saul himself did. He said, in just two words, that his missed his own homelands and asked Saul whether he missed Dahlia.

"Sometimes... I built my own house there, from scratch. I put so much hard work and dedication into Dahlia and my house that it was a shock to be told we were leaving it. But I know I could grow happy here, so that's what I'm going to do. Rebuild, grow again."

He offered back with a small smile. Feeling their meeting had come to an end, the male stretched on the sandy beach before standing up and yawning softly to himself. The male stood for a few more moments, green eyes now trained on the surf and the swell. He would have to come back down here to have a swim- unlike his adopted daughter Wretch, he had no fear of the ocean. He gave a soft nod towards Noah. "It was nice to meet you Noah, and thank you for showing me the stars. But I really must be on my way now. I'm sure I'll see you around Ichika."

Saul said with a smile and a subconscious pat to the silvered males shoulder. And with that, the agouti male headed back towards his family to sleep for the night. Tomorrow was sure to bring more adventures.
