WC:456+ - Anon is attempting to join the pack.. Lets see how this goes..

A breath heaved as Anon finished making another round around the territory she had been spying on for awhile. She stayed back, keeping herself unnoticed for about a moon now. She had watched members come and go, almost making her way to them and backing down just as fast. She didn't need them. Or so she thought anyway. The breeze that caught her coat made her close her eyes with it. It felt like someone had poured cold water onto her pelt, although it was hotter then it had been, out. Just out of sight, Anon hunkered down, waiting, watching as wolves filtered in and out of the caves to their territory. Her broad head went down on her paws and she peaked up, only when need to make sure she was hidden.

The sun came and went as she waited for things to settle into the evening. Dark was her best ally right now and she needed all the help she could get. You fool! Walking up to a wolf pack like it is nothing. She pushed her secondary comment aside, as if it was someone standing beside her, complaining. Often she had thoughts like that, treating them as if she was not alone. Alone. Her enemy, yet all she really knew. Another shake of the head and snort and she was on her feet, stalking close to the ground. She just need to reach the border and wait, but with every step her heartbeat quickened. Her breath wanted to come in pants now as she worried herself over who would meet her at the border. Who would lay eyes on her first. Would they be accepting? Or downright against her being? Did she want to risk that? Yes, she had to risk it. She did need them. Her hunting was getting worse and fewer times would she actually catch something. It was starting to show now, her bones poking out at her rib-cage. She let a hiss escape off her tongue at the remembrance of the last failed hunt. The hare just barely got away. She scowled at the thought and pushed that away, as well. Reaching the border of the to-be-named pack, Anon waited, her tail twitching. She tried to hide any sign of fear though, as it was not reasonable to be afraid. She had good enough reason to join. It was only logical that they let her. She kept reminding herself this as she stopped moving her tail and plopped her rump on the ground. Playing the waiting game was not her thing at all.

WC:411+ - Don't mind Alaki; he's a misery guts over everything and a right drama queen ¬.¬

Common sense told him that he probably shouldn’t be up and about just yet; but there was a limit to being stuck underground and rendered useless and he’d recently reached it. He was one of Anathema’s Marbas and he would not sit on his backside all day whilst everyone else completed their tasks, simply because he’d been fool and reckless enough to pick a fight with an opponent clearly superior than himself. Not that he really regretted doing so; apparently half dying had its perks and he’d finally made up with the white one. Rummaging around his quarters he located his various assortment of weapons and strapped them on; the feel of leather straps tightly wrapped around his arms and waist were reassuring, along with the weight of his weapons hanging from them.

Caution was nether a bad thing and although he was only going out to walk a basic patrol of the borders, he would do so heavily armed and prepared. Pushing back the curtain doorway, the dark male emerged into one of the many familiar tunnels and he set off out of the caves, into the territory above. Once above ground, he lifted his head, taking in the scents and sound that filled the warm evening, before heading of blindly into the distant tree line to begin his stroll of the border; and stroll it would be, for an strenuous movements were off limits considering his broken ribs and bruised coated form. Thankfully, when almost getting killed by a hammer swinging wolf, one does not receive too many open cuts and highly noticeable wounds it seemed.

His mood lightening, he walked the border confidently. Each inch of it was familiar to him and he allowed his mind to wander and daydream as his body continued to move from memory. After a few hours of walking, he encountered an unknown scent. Sighing and suppressing a groan, he changed direction to that of which he believed the scent to be located, moving until he reached the edge of the border to then allow blue eyes to scan the grounds before him. A distance of stood a lone female wolf, seemingly harmless after a quick once over, but he still moved a hand to wrap around the handle of his katana; ready to unsheathe the weapon if need be. “You are upon Anathema borders.” He informed the other, stating the obvious with a bored tone. “What business do you have with us?”

WC:323+ - Please, oh please don't turn me aside. I need you. I need you.

A hiss escaped the maw of Anon as she pulled her lip back slightly and backed away. He was walking on two legs! Sickening. She thought to herself and relaxed her haunches, still staying back. Glancing from his face to the sword at his waist she almost groaned. Logic. Logic beats everything. She had a right reason to be there and she was going to make it clear, without getting her pelt skinned off. Stepping forward again she put on her best smile, which was not all that graceful at all.

"I have come to talk to your leader, not you. I have meaning to... Join." She murmured the last part, still flustered that she needed help.

She was aware that he knew she wasn't in the best of shape, and it bothered her. Although it did make her more comfortable that she was in her lupus form, shifting would make her look worse, she was sure of it. Shaking off any thought of that and swishing her tail carelessly she looked up at him with the most pleading look she could give. In the midst of doing so she studied his form. He was well built with muscle, blue eyes. His jeans hung low on his hips and his weapons made him look much more threatening then she figured he was once you got to know him. He carried himself as if he was fine, but something went deeper into his eyes. A bit of comfortableness was surrounding him. She shrugged it off lightly. None of my business. She thought and flicked an ear to the side to listen.

"Please? I need to speak with someone in charge.." She asked, almost pleading. She could feel the hunger rumble in the core of her stomach and suppressed a wince.

WC:328+ - He's a sucker for the weak and helpless looking :')

A bored expression sat upon his face as cool blue eyes stared down upon the smaller female, taking note of her weakened state. Despite the others hiss and initial reaction he held his ground; not moving a muscle or changing his expression, all the while patiently watching the other. Knowing he wasn’t the most welcoming wolf to have encountered along the borders, he felt a small amount of pity for the other; but if she were to live amongst them, she would need some back bone along with the ability to face those like him; Anathema held a variety of characters to say the least. Still, in an attempt to ease the other and encourage her to speak confidently, he put on a soft smile, although her knew the expression most likely wouldn’t reflect within his eyes.

All was good and well until the other dismissed him and asked for Naniko. Narrowed eyes glared down at the female. “Shame that you’ve got me then, huh?” he responded, his voice gruff and harsh with irritation, then felt a pang of guilt when she gave him that pleading look. Always a sucker for the weaklings… Sighing, he took a breath in and let out a low whistle like sound and raised an arm. Moments passed before he heard the distinctive sound of beating wings and the white bird came into sight. Titling down, the albino crow made its rapid decent and landed surprisingly gracefully upon his raised arm. Choosing the sounds carefully, he instructed the bird to go locate and bring Naniko. Seconds passed and the bird was airborne once more and was heading towards the location of the caves.

“He will go to fetch our leader” he informed the girl. Pausing, he cocked his head to his side and looked at her. “You seem like you’ve had better days; where have you come from” he asked, making conversation as well as attempting to gather background information on the female.

WC:434+ - My life is none of your business. I'm just a mystery~

Anon held her tongue when he retorted in an irritated tone. She lowered her head, not trying to be disrespectful to the male, but more just she knew that he was not in charge. She could tell by the way he carried himself. She watched his expressions change with hers, as if he felt sorry for her. That tugged at a nerve. She didn't want him to be sorry! She could just as soon turn around, walk away and find a way to make it on her own! Fool! Don't ruin this! She hissed to herself. A flaw. She always thought better of how she was doing then she was.

Another stab of pain in her stomach and she winced. She couldn't hold back this time. How long had it been since her belly felt full, bloated with a fresh kill. Days? Weeks? To long. She needed something to fill her, take away the aching hunger. She had only looked up again when a white bird perched on the male's arm. She tilted her head to the side, looking at the bird in an odd manner. Its eyes were not like she had seen before. Red? Like blood. She almost swiped a tongue over her maw. It was a pet. But he communicated with it like it was a long time friend.

Anon had witnessed "pets" along her travels. None as well mannered as this, nor were they treated like they mattered. Most of the time they were used by loners to find food, steal, distract. She wrinkled her nose. Many times she had fallen victim to that exact thing. Lost in her own thoughts on the matter she almost didn't hear the question asked. Her ears pricked again and she narrowed her eyes just slightly. What business was it of his where she came from? Changing her expression almost instantly back to a friendly one she twitched her nose.

"I come from the mountians. I don't know where.. I didn't even know where I was till you informed me. I was never really told where I was or how I came to be." She said simply.

Bastard child. She thought, a frown coming upon her face at the thought. Her mind flooded with images of snow and her mothers snarled face. She let a hiss ring on her tongue and looked back at the male, a pained look on her face.

"I come from the mountains.." She said again, leaving it at that.

Hello there ^_^

An irritated swat of her hand sent the animal into the air, its wings picking up and taking it out of her range before she had the chance to touch it. She had no idea exactly what a large white bird was doing in her den, but she didn't plan on getting up to find out. A crow wasn't threatening enough to raise the alabaster leader from her slumber. These days uninterrupted sleep was hard to come by; the pregnant leader was a light sleeper and often awoke due to kicks or movements from the pups within. She rolled over on her bed, sending small clouds of dust into the air with each movement of her torso and limbs. Naniko had just settled down after being awake all throughout the day and the night prior and a little bird's pecking wasn't going to wake her.

Squawking, though. That would do it. She put her legs over the edge of the bed, feet touching the floor. Clawed hands came up to rub at her eyes, trying to clear away the sleepy feeling. Now that she was able to focus on the creature, its words were beginning to make some sense. "Border, border! Go to the border!" It kept repeating. She blinked a few times, a frown creasing her features. "Why?" She didn't trust most beasts...but perhaps this bird was unique. Some pack members carried creatures with them, she knew.

"Stranger" The crow said. Her eyes narrowed as she watched it flutter around the room. If there truly was a stranger at the borders, then she would go out to see why they were there. A week or two prior, a jackal-hybrid had been attacked just outside of the packlands...perhaps it was someone who knew her. Or someone who had trespassed and needed a good lesson in politeness and respect. The large female got to her feet, heading out the entrance of her den and starting for the borderlines at a jog. She couldn't run too quickly in her heavily pregnant state, but she'd get there soon enough.

She was surprised to see Alaki when she reached the group. She didn't see him at the borders very often. Naniko watched as the crow returned to its companion, then looked to the stranger that the creature had indicated. "What's she want?" She demanded. It appeared that Anon had not trespassed, and Alaki didn't show any signs of open hostility in his body language. The Angela wore a weapons belt and could defend herself with her daggers if it was needed...but she hoped that it wouldn't come to that. As skinny as she was, the wanderer didn't look like too much of a threat. "You look half starved, girl. Where did you come from?" She said, addressing the stranger.

WC:291+ - He still lurking in the background. Do as you please with him ^^;

“Mountains, huh? So you’ve gone from these mysterious mountains all the way to some more mountains.” Sarcasm rolled of his tongue, his eyes glaring down upon the other in irritation and then he gave up interrogating her. Shrugging his shoulders slightly, he dismissed the matter altogether; reminding himself that Naniko would probably be there soon to deal with things. Until then… A bland expression filled his face as his eyes remained fixed upon the other, never letting the potential ‘threat’ out of his sight; it came as no surprise as the female began gradually boring him, she was a skinny thing, wouldn’t answer questions and he could see no use for her or reason to accept her into the pack aside from sympathy, but it was not his place to decide whom was welcome and who wasn’t, which of itself was a good thing for he was no fan of having to sort joiners out, give him a fight at the borders any day over some skinny thing asking to join and avoiding answering him.

Thankfully, Beyaz had made himself useful for once, having located and brought the white leader with him. Relaxing into his stance, feeling suddenly relived of duty in an odd way, he turned his attention to his Angela. “Wants to join, or raid our food stocks most likely judging from her size” he answered, pointing a thumb in the direction of the female and grumbling the last part. Circling above, Beyaz gradually descended and landed with surprising grace upon the Marbas’s shoulder. Slinking back, he allowed for the Angela to take over. Resting his back against a nearby tree, he watched in silence; not wanting to leave his pregnant leader alone at the border with a stranger.

WC:426+ - I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Will you ever forgive me?

"Aren't you just wise." She muttered to herself and looked away from the male. He didn't want her there and it was clear. Keeping her thoughts to herself rather then letting him know what she thought of him, she waited. When the white form of a rather pregnant she-wolf appeared she straightened a bit and pricked her ears, then laid them flat and hunker down again, purely out of respect. She kept her eyes on the ground, her whole body in a submissive stance, although she knew it made her look even more pathetic. She knew that she wasn't going to be able to be as hidden with answers as she was with the larger male. Even though the female was pregnant, Alaki was in the background and she could easily just tell him to take her down. She would put a fight, but it would be effortless on her part.

"I.. I don't know the name, but the mountains just northwest of here. High up, a pretty barren area to be in. Not much prey it seems. I know there was a mine close by.. I just wanted to stay out of packlands uninvited." She murmured the last part.

But I want to be invited now.. She thought to herself as her stomach grumbled again. As prey dwindled down in numbers, so did her hunting skills. She couldn't catch a rabbit right now if need be. Unless maybe it was tied to a string and pinned down. She almost made a gruff noise in her throat her own thoughts, but held back, never looking up at the she-wolf. She didn't really want to join a pack, being a loner wasn't so bad. She met interesting characters and learned a many new things with her travels, even if it was just mostly around the mountains. She didn't know much else then that and it frightened her to leave, although she would never openly admit it.

"I just need help, I don't mean anyone any harm.. " She said the last part with a glance at black male, making it clear mostly to him. "Please?" She asked again, almost pleading, but never letting her strength faulter. She knew that she could make a good hunter once her strength was up if thats what it took to prove herself. She would do anything to prove herself at this moment.

Alaki didn't seem to be very impressed with this female, but Nani hadn't seen him at the borders very often and didn't know what his "impressed" face would look like if she ever had seen it. As long as the female didn't seem a big threat and didn't have anyone following her to Anathema who would want to cause trouble, Naniko was fairly certain that she would be accepting her into the pack. She wasn't terribly picky when it came to members. She just wanted them to be devoted to the pack itself and to not cause too much trouble.

"Well...either way I think we could make some use of you. I would accept you as a Zepar and get you settled in...and then after a few weeks you can choose a rank tier and begin working on helping the pack more and more." She said. "However...there is a ceremony that I would need to do before I'd accept you into the ranks. A blood sharing ceremony known as Agares. In this ceremony I will make a cut on my paw and on your own front paw and hold them together to bind you to the pack as family"

"If you refuse the ceremony, you cannot join." The Angela said, watching her closely. She put one hand on the hilt of her ceremonial dagger, pulling it from its sheath and holding it out to show her. The blade was sharpened so that the cut would cause a minimal amount of pain...it wouldn't be too hard on the stranger, even in her half-starved state. "Then we could get you settled in...and get some food in you."

WC:355+ - Just get it over with will ya?

A black and white muzzle almost pulled back into a snarl at the words of being sliced with a dagger. Even if it was the slightest slice, she wasn’t thrilled, but if it meant getting help, then it was really what she had to do. She watched both of the wolves carefully, judging each move, expression. They were going to let her go easily, she could tell that the male was ready to chase her far out of sight if need be, he was only sticking around to protect his leader after all. The angela was close to birth it seemed, but she still held herself with the authority of a leader, and expected to be treated as so, it seemed.

Holding out her paw she nodded in acceptance of the sharing of blood between herself and the leader. It almost made her feel accepted, almost. With a sigh she looked up finally, still keeping her head low in submission.

“I accept…” she said, almost a mutter.

She waited in silence from then on, waiting for the she-wolf to press the point of the dagger to her hand, making a thin cut. Her body shifted uneasily, more because she was not so great with pain she knew was coming. Fighting, no problem, but an anticipated pain drove her nuts till it happened. She thought maybe she should have shifted, but the thought quickly left her mind when she realized how much more nervous she would seem. Still not used, or more not wanting to get used, shifting. An inward sigh as she got lost in thought about her times of using her “ability” to steal, or charm her way into and out of things. She had found it helpful to shift to reach things just a bit out of her normal reach as well. But shifting just because others were? Because they were comfortable? Not going to happen. She would rather turn tail then shift right now, it made her even more uneasy then she was about that dagger. Oh the dagger. She harrumphed at the sudden remembrance of the dagger still not touching her paw.

Welcome :]

She did it quickly and with very little effort, making a quick slice in the female's paw and pressing it against her own. She released it in one motion, bringing her dagger back to its place upon her belt. The leader had done this many times and had never had a prospective member refuse it. What would be the point of her questioning and evaluating if they would choose such a thing? There were other packs, yes, but why settle when one could go through a simple process and become a part of Anathema?

"Finished. Follow us...Alaki can show you to an empty den. We have several, so you may pick one to your liking, Zepar" The Angela said. She turned from the pair, starting back for the mountain range and their underground cave home. She would find Alaki and get a report from him later on about how the newest member of the pack was doing.
