Private for daddy Smile WC: 1156

It was the early morning, the sun was beginning to peek over the horizon, the bright orange orbs sending tendrils of light up into the pale blue sky. A few clouds drifted across the sky, their usualy fluffy white selves being painted a bright yellow by the morning light. All around creatures were shifting and stirring, awakening from the comfortable relaxation of sleep. There were rustlings in the undergrowth, small animals peered out from the bushes and long grasses, noses twitching, testing the air, ears swivelling to hear delicate sounds, perhaps the soft footfalls of a potential predator. Birds sitting high in the tree tops called out loudly, chirruping happily to one another, calling the dawn into being almost, heralding the new day beginning with an odd joy, as if no matter what happened to them they were always delighted to be awake, to have a new day to fly and eat and twitter in the trees. It seemed to make them content. The breeze was cool, but the lack of cloud cover and the way the temperature was beginning to climb suggested that the lands would not be cool for long, it was after all the height of summer, no doubt soon the lands would be slightly uncomfortable for it's wolven inhabitants, thick furs were awkward in such warm heat. The small animals, rabbits and the like seemed to be coming out at the right time, ready to retire back underground to their cool burrows once the heat became too much for them, this way they could utilise the cooler parts of the day, the dawn and the dusk, to eat their fill before retiring out of the midday sun, or shying away from the dark night. This was of course the time when the wolves were also more active, after all they too shared the reluctance to move too much if it was to be too warm, also when the prey was this abundant during this time of day, most would happily rise and catch themselves breakfast before the heat became too much, they had plenty to chose from after all. This the rabbits knew of course, hence why they were particularly cautious, moving nervously, pausing every few moments to check that there were no dangers around, freezing momentarily, wide eyes roving about the place.

They of course had nothing to fear from the young patchwork wolf that was walking around a small clearing of grass. She was struggling with the walking if she was honest, in the middle of the night she had awoken to get a drink, and suddenly something had made her jump, before she knew it she was... stretching, her legs made awkward clicking noises as they had grown longer, her hips had realigned, allowing her to stand on her hind legs, a long wavy mane had sprouted from her head, an impressive and rather delightful chocolaty brown, with some rather interesting rust coloured and sandy brown highlights. Her paws had changed completely, her toes lengthening and gaining joints that they had not had before, her paws becoming hands and feet. Her body had changed completely, this new form was awkward and lean, too tall for her to cope with, she had yet to grown into it properly and felt all stretched, although this was the correct time for her to first shift form she felt awkward, she was still a child after all, but now she had this tall, oddly shaped form. The entire change had taken over half an hour, after all it was her first time and although her body seemed to be doing it without her thinking about it, it was unused to changing itself and so it was awkward, but soon enough there she stood, tall and willowy and awkward, shorter than she would be of course, once she was an adult, but too tall for her own liking at the moment. Her first act as an Optime wolf was to fall over backwards, she was in shock, she could not believe she had changed all by herself, and without really trying. She lay there, turning her hands over and over, her eyes staring at the newly formed fingers in disbelief, she was amazed, she couldn't take her bright blue eyes off of her new hands, it was fascinating, she had seen her mother and father and many of her packmates in this form, but she didn't realise quite how amazing it was until that moment. She bent her fingers, analysing them, working out how to move them properly, she sat up awkwardly, having to use her new arms with their new ways of moving was proving clumsy and inefficient so far, and she had wiggled her toes, she had giggled as she had done this, oh yes, this was marvellous, she was going to enjoy this.

And so with a renewed sense of excitement she had tried, and failed to get to her new feet, it had taken her four attempts in all, there was too much of her now and it all moved in unexpected ways, her knees bent differently to her elbows and she couldn't work out what to do with her tail, the truth was she could have probably used the muted grey and brown implement to keep herself balanced, but she was wagging it far too furiously with excitement for it to be of any use. Yippee! This really was fun! Once she had gotten to her feet the patchwork girl had made her shaky way into the clearing, falling several times, grabbing tree branches to steady herself and stop her from falling her full length, for she had no idea how long it would take her to get back up again should that happen after all. So this is where she was now, walking unsteadily around and around the clearing, determined to have managed to walk and even climb by the time she was finished, it was slow progress, her wagging tail being more of a hindrance than a help, sending her crashing onto her bottom repeatedly, or onto her knees, managing to catch herself with her hands before she landed on her face and bumped her nose. Finally she managed to walk a whole time around the clearing, she leaped and whooped with delight and joy, she was so proud of herself, she was going to be good at this bipedal form thing, she could tell. This was of course, a mistake, she fell with a thud back to the ground.
”Ouch! Ooooh... I'll never get the hang of this.” She sighed, legs stretched out before her, her shoulders, head and ears drooping. She was worried that she'd be stuck in this form forever and then she'd never be able to walk again. How was she supposed to have wonderful adventures if she couldn't get anywhere?! She sat feeling rather dejected, her head dropping, her shoulders visibly sagging.

Daddy to the rescue! Also I don't know where in the house the kids will be sleep exactly now that they're older, though I imagine one or two of them might just be crashing in the family room. Sorry for the shortish length, but then again my posts always look short compared to yours XD;

Haven woke with the rising sun, as he was wont to do. Princess was still sound asleep beside him, so he carefully rose from their bed so as not to disturb her. The man yawned as he pulled on his pants and fastened them. He then shrugged on his jacket and exited the bedroom. His eyes counted two of his children, but the third was missing. Robin, he thought with a sigh. She was the troublemaker of the litter and she had undoubtedly gotten herself into some sort of sticky situation. The father wondered how long she had been gone as he buckled on his sword across his chest. Haven quietly opened and closed the door to the small house and then quickly found Robin's scent. It was not as fresh as he had hoped it to be. Haven cursed softly under his breath and made haste to follow his daughter's trail into the woods of the Kingdom's land.

Thankfully it seemed that she had not gotten too terribly far from home and as he weaved through the trees he heard sounds of movement up ahead. When the man reached the clearing and saw the figure sitting in it he paused with wide eyes. There was a young shifted woman before him, not the lanky four-legged pup he had expected to find. There was no denying that this was his daughter though, not with that splash of ochre on her chest. The Aatte's moment of shock passed and he walked forward and knelt down beside his girl. "Robin, are you alright?" Jade eyes filled with concern at seeing her look so dejected.

I assumed as much myself, that they were all piled in a room together away from Mummy and Daddy now... And no worries about the post, I like it Smile WC: 1256 Yes, I am queen of the rambling it seems XD

The little patchwork girl was starting to get frustrated, she tried to heave herself back to her feet but didn't manage to bend her knees quite right and just toppled over backwards again, landing with yet another thump which made her whimper slightly for a moment. Her ears drooped even more, she was going to be stuck here forever! She was never going to get to run around and play again! She would never have the adventures like Robin Hood that she'd been planning ever since she was able to think of such things, everyone would have to bring her food here and people would have to visit her just to say hello. What if no-one knew where she was? What if no-one ever came? She would certainly starve. What if Mommy and Daddy were worried about her? What if they thought she was lost? Oh she was in such a pickle, the fae's shoulders slumped and she began to pick at the blades of grass next to her, she would have to eat this if no one found her she thought. The concept made the little fae stick out her long pink tongue in disgust, she didn't want to have to eat grass, but if no-one came to find her and she was stuck here for always then she would have to she supposed, it didn't look very tasty, but then again the rabbits liked it and they were tasty, maybe this was what they tasted of? Somehow she doubted it, otherwise all the wolves in the pack would eat grass, after all it didn't make you chase it before you could eat it, it just stayed there, still and silent, waiting to be plucked. She put a strand in her mouth curiously, blergh! It was terrible, she spat it out quickly, and began to sigh, she really would be stuck here forever and she would starve, for there was no way that the little Aatte girl would eat anymore grass if it tasted like that, she would just have to hope that someone came along to rescue her, or that the rabbits got so used to seeing her sat here that they would come up to investigate her and then she could catch them. But she wasn't going to be able to be the intrepid explorer and adventurer she was planning to be, she had already figured her life out, she was going to be just like her Daddy, protecting the lands just like he did, she would be a little warrior for all that was good and true, just like her two role models, one of course being her orange furred father and the other being Robin Hood, she had read so many of his exploits in books that she wanted to be just like him, he was so brave and noble, just like her daddy.

The little fae was in the throws of being very unhappy when a familiar face came into sight. Daddy! Yes he would rescue her, he would know what to do. Maybe he could help her walk, or at the very least he might know how she could change back, maybe he'd take this silly trait back so she wouldn't have to bother with it again, she wanted to learn how to fire a bow and things like that, but if walking was going to be this hard she didn't want to anymore, she would rather just be plain little Robin on all four feet, at least then she could keep exploring and adventuring. A small muted grey hand was raised and she waved at her father vigorously, her tail thumping against the ground. She was so pleased to see him, yes everything would be alright now, Daddy would know what to do, he always knew what to do. Her ochre father knelt beside her and she looked up into his face, her bright blue gaze meeting his jade one, she smiled at him, glad that it was him that had come to rescue her, what if it had been a stranger that had found her? Or worse still a baddie? How was she supposed to defend herself and send them away if she couldn't even get to her feet? She was very glad it was Daddy, the other thoughts didn't bear thinking about, she might have been kidnapped like some silly damsel in distress, that was not her at all, she was always the hero of the story, that was why she made Felicity be the princess that needed rescuing whenever she and her siblings played together, Linden was permitted to be her side kick, Little John or Will Scarlett, he often complained, asked to play Robin Hood, but her favourite story book hero shared her name and she was not about to let Linden steal her name. No, he was always the side kick, she was getting quite good at wearing him down until he finally relented and just agreed. Sometimes he would be the baddie just so the pair of them could have little play fights, that was fun too, Robin liked rough and tumble and all things like that, that's why she was so often covered in mud and general grime, life was no fun if you were not allowed to play in the mud after all. All that was over now of course, now that she was forever stuck like this, unable to walk about, she was sure that Linden would use that as an excuse to be the hero of the games, or to beat her as the baddie, this thought made her only more determined to stand up.

”Oh Daddy, it's all gone wrong.” The little fae replied, her ears still drooping, looking up at her father still. "I have these, which are great, look what they can do!" She added, her ears perking up and her face stretching into it's trademark grin, she held her hands up in front of her father's face, wriggling all of her fingers to show him that they were indeed excellent inventions, she was rather pleased with her new hands.
"But Daddy, I don't like the rest of this body, I think it's broken. Can we take it back to wherever it came from? It doesn't work properly. It's all wobbly and wont go in straight lines." She said, looking up at her father's face, her nose and brow crinkling into the most serious face she could muster, to show the enormity of the situation, poking at her thigh in annoyance, showing what the problem was as well as explaining, she hoped that he would just say yes, that they could take it back to wherever it was supposed to have come from and that she could just get on with being a normal child again. If it wasn't going to work properly she didn't want to keep it, it was definately broken, Robin was good at the things she tried, she had learnt to walk on four legs very quickly, yes it must be a problem with this form and not herself. She looked at her father pleadingly, he would know what to do, he had all the answers, he was old after all, he must know everything by now. Mommy always said it took time to learn things, so Daddy must know everything. He would fix this, he would make it go away, or fix her legs so they would walk in straight lines and let her jump and climb and play again.

Oh good, cause yeah, I can't write as much as you lol XD Feel free to PP Haven helping her walk around!

His little girl—she hardly looked little at the moment—seemed to perk back up once she spotted him and her tail began to wag in its furious fashion. That brought some relief to the father's heart. If Robin could go back to being her usual self so quickly then nothing too bad must have happened. It was likely just some of the shock of her first shift and needing to get used to this new body of her's. She was the first of the litter to shift and it was so odd to see his child in that body. A part of him had just imagined they would be as they were forever, or at least would not be turning into grown-ups so fast. It boggled the man's mind. This was no time to focus on his disbelief however. This was Robin's time and he meant to be there for her for whatever she needed of him.

The ochre hybrid's head tilted to the side as her daughter exclaimed how it had all gone wrong. There was nothing physically wrong with her that he could see or smell. Excitement was injected back into her as she displayed her hands and fingers and how well they worked, but the rest of it she seemed quite unhappy with as her face scrunched up and she poked at her thigh. When she asked if they could "take it back", Haven could not help but let out a hearty chuckle. "Oh, my little ranger, you really are too much sometimes." The Knight shook his head as he stood up beside his girl. "Your body isn't broken Robin, you just aren't used to it yet. It takes just a bit of practice and then you'll be walking as if you had been like this your whole life. Give me your hand, I'll help keep you steady," he said, extending a large padded hand to his mottled child.

Sorry for the wait on this hun real life has been hectic :S, I'm sorry.

The little mottled female was hoping that her father would know what to do, at the very least perhaps he could teach her to shift back, at the moment her body was all wrong in her mind, her feet were too large for her legs, at least they felt that way, her tail was too long for her body. The truth was that in time she would manage to grow into it, she would eventually become a tall lithe female, her tail would be an asset to her balance rather than a hindrance that would send her tumbling over every few minutes. The patchwork girl would eventually become a patchwork lady and then everything would be a lot easier, once she had grown properly into this form she would be fine, but for the moment she did not like it at all, it was awkward and didn't seem to work properly. And so she sat, her big blue eyes filled with hope, her daddy would know exactly what to do, he would take it all away from the little female, she wouldn't have to worry about it until she was much older, when she was sure that she would be able to cope with it. She knew that she could be grateful, she'd be able to bounce and adventure as she had planned, she would be able to climb trees, she supposed that it would be much easier in this form that it was in her Lupus form. The little fae had always been a tree climber, clambering up into the branches of trees, scrambling up tree trunks, often sliding down them, her efforts often being wasted. Often she would also get stuck, sitting in a branch that hadn't seemed quite so high when she had clambered up to it, suddenly the ground would seem a long way away and she would be completely unsure of how to get back down again, that was where mommy and daddy were useful as well, they were always nearby to help fetch her from the branches of trees when she realised that she was stuck. Linden was never very helpful for those sorts of things, he would just laugh at her and playfully try and shake her down from the tree, she would always get him back though, after all she was the hero of the story, she needed to make sure her sidekick was always well behaved and there to help her, not to make her fall out of trees.

Her Daddy laughed as she spoke, her little ears drooped slowly, was she being silly? Maybe he thought so, she suddenly wondered if he would leave her here to figure it out for herself, maybe that would be the best lesson. But she didn't want to be left alone, the little patchwork fae was aware that she could not do this without help, but then her father spoke and injected some hope back into her, there was nothing wrong with her body after all. He was going to help her! Maybe she wasn't broken after all, though she was sure that she must be, the body was faulty not her, she was a fast learner after all. Perhaps though, like some things, practice was needed, Mummy often said that if she wanted to be good at something, like archery, then she would have to practice. It was often her response to the little fae badgering her about the idea of being an accomplished archer as soon as she picked up a bow; she had read about archery enough after all. Her mother was sensible though, even if the little female did think that she was being a spoilsport by saying that she'd need to practice first, the little fae was certain she would be a wonderful archer, just as soon as she got her hands on a bow. Her father offered her his large hand and the little patchwork girl took it, his ochre hand dwarfing her small muted grey one. Slowly she hauled herself to her feet, rolling onto her knees and standing awkwardly, she overbalanced and had to grab her father for support, but soon enough she was standing. She looked up at her father, proud of herself for getting to her own feet, she grinned at him broadly, her tail wagging violently again, she began to wobble, the movement of her long tail threatening to overbalance her once again, she gripped her father's hand and arm tightly and soon was steady once again.
"Ok then Daddy, I think I'm ready to try again. If you say that it'll be ok then it will be." She said, meaning every word, her Daddy was the cleverest male she knew, if he said that it would be alright then she knew that it would certainly be, he had never lied to her before after all, only baddies lied, her Daddy was not a baddie at all. She gripped his hand and arm, near the elbow, tightly and took a first wobbling step, he guided her carefully as they walked, he was stable and steady as they walked, the little female was glad of him being there. The pair walked slowly round, Robin stumbling every now and again, luckily her father was there to catch her when she did so. Soon she stopped, her tail wagging again, looking up at her father.
"We're you as wobbly as me when you first started walking? Is that why you knew I would be ok? How long will it take me to get the hang of this? Now that I have hands can I have a bow like Robin Hood?" The little fae fired the questions at her father in quick succession, her enquiring mind suddenly bringing them bubbling forth all at once. She looked at him, she hoped more than anything that he would say that she may have a bow, she wanted to be just like Robin Hood after all, and she couldn't do that without a bow.

Ditto, so no worries XD;

It wasn't surprising to Haven that his adventurous girl had expected walking on two legs to come naturally to her as soon as she had her new form. Robin had high expectations of herself and did not quite grasp the reality that most things in life took practice to become good at. He never scolded her for her impatience though, for it was simply a product of her youth. The man remembered well how anxious he had been to be able to shift when he was a young boy and how he had walked around with the help of trees to keep his balance when he finally had.

Robin took his hand and carefully pulled herself back to her feet. Almost as soon as she had accomplished this, her tail began to wag in its usual excited manner and nearly toppled her over again. Haven let out another soft chuckle. "Careful, you want to use your tail to help keep your balance, and if you wag so much it will only hinder you. At least until you get the hang of things. Try and be aware of how your whole body works together to move." She would likely not remember how hard it was for her and her siblings to learn to walk on four legs, but it was the same. One had to be aware of one's body at first until it became second nature.

The Knight helped to guide his daughter around as she slowly became more confident on her feet and stumbled less and less. As he had assumed, she would have the hang of it in no time. "I was, yes. Most everyone is I imagine. It's just like learning to walk all over again, except this time on two legs instead of four. Not long at all darling, let's just keep walking," he said, urging her to keep going. "You can have a bow, but we will have to find one first. I also want to find someone who can teach you how to use it. A bow may not hold the same risk of hurting yourself as a sword, but you could still hurt someone else if you don't know what you're doing. Learning a weapon is a serious practice, and you must be careful and keep everyone's safety in mind." He could just imagine Robin getting overexcited and accidentally shooting at someone. He needed to avoid such a dangerous possibility.

Yeah I can see Robin getting over excited and trying to shoot a target and missing and hitting someone else XD. That would not be good. And I thought I'd use this table so we match XD WC: 1026

The little patchwork girl was getting used to this walking thing, perhaps it wasn't as bad as she had thought after all, her father told her to be careful when using her tail, if she wagged it too much then she might fall down, this made sense to her, it seemed very long in comparison to her small frame now, the extra weight shifting this way and that would indeed send her off balance. So now she was concentrating hard on not wagging her tail so much, simply moving it from side to side as it was needed, using it as a counterbalance when she started to wobble one way or the other, trying not to rely on her father too much, for after all her daddy would not always be there to hold her hand as she walked around. She smiled up at him every now and again, still holding his hand tightly, but daring to let go of his upper arm, trying to work out how she would use her arms and hands in relation to the rest of her body in this form, she could start with one and then move on to walking unaided. The little female stopped as her father spoke again, explaining that he himself had had difficulties learning to walk in his Optime form when he had first found out that he could, saying that he thought that it was most likely that everyone did. She could not imagine that, no matter how she tried, the idea that her tall orange father would have been a small ochre creature stumbling just as she was now seemed miles away from what he was today, this idea gave her hope though, perhaps she would soon be able to do all of the things that she wanted to, like firing a bow, perhaps she should work on keeping upright at the moment, holding a bow when she was prone to falling over was perhaps not the best idea, she could really hurt herself or someone else. The little patchwork girl giggled as she again tried to imagine her father being her size and falling all over the place, finally managing it, the very idea that he might have once been the size of herself and her siblings made her giggle, especially that he would have once had these clumsy moments, just as she was now, when his feet were too large for his legs and his tail kept getting in the way. Her own tail began to wag again and she began to wobble, but managed to stop herself before she toppled over once again.
“I bet you looked funny Daddy! Did you fall down this much?” She asked, giggling still, looking up at her father with her usual grin.

Hope was restored when he told her that it did not take him very long to get the hang of walking, this meant that the little female would no doubt be very good at it in no time, after all she had to be good at things if she was going to be a hero, so she would not doubt pick this skill up very quickly, the next steps would be running and skipping and climbing trees, she would soon be trying those as well, skinned knees and bruised shins were no doubt on the horizon. Her tail wagged a little as she thought of all the new adventures that she might have with this new form, finally she'd be able to hold her own books, and she would be able to climb trees properly, not sliding down them because she had nowhere to place her paws. She was being careful not to wag it too much now though, but it was difficult, she had never really had to think of her tail as being seperate from herself, she had never had to think about controlling it before, it was simply just always behind her, wagging here and there as it pleased, but now it was the enemy, it needed to be controlled like an unruly child, randomly causing trouble for Robin. She looked up at her father as the subject of the bow rolled around, he said that she was allowed to have one, for a moment she let go of his hand, performing an odd little static jump, more just bending her knees without leaving the ground, for fear that she wouldn't manage to land neatly and topple over again, she clapped her hands together with delight. Oh how exciting! She would finally be able to learn to use a bow, though she doubted that there would be much learning required, she was getting the hang of the walking very quickly and it was very hard, her Daddy had said himself that everyone struggled at the beginning, surely she would be a fantastic archer. And then she would soon be able to be like Robin Hood, she could get Linden and Felicity to be in her gang, proper Merry Men for her Robin Hood, oh how exciting it was all going to be. She would soon be an adventurer and explorer and be able to go out and help those in need and protect the lands, just like her Daddy. Oh how exciting it all was for her, she could barely wait. Though of course this happiness came with a lecture on safety, the little female nodded as he father said that he wanted someone to teach her how to use it properly and that she must be careful not to hurt anyone.
"Oh Daddy, you really mean that I can have a bow? Oh how exciting! Where could we get one from? Do you know anyone that could get me one? And don't worry, I don't want to hurt anyone, I will be careful with the bow, I promise! I will make sure to only shoot at targets when no-one is around." The little female replied, grinning at her father, before beginning more wobbly steps again, she needed to practice so that she would not fall over with her bow if she was going to finally be allowed it!

Yay matching tables! Sorry for the wait again x_x;

As they continued to walk around the clearing he could already see the signs of his daughter becoming more adept at walking on only two legs. She started to let go of his arm so she could get used to the feel of using her arms in the whole process and he smiled down proudly at her as she worked hard to keep her balance. It was so strange seeing her like this, for it really did not seem so terribly long ago that he had been learning to walk in optime form himself. It was unbelievable how fast his children were growing. While he was happy that Robin was moving onto this new and exciting part of her life, the father couldn't help but wish that they would stay little puppies for longer. The more they grew and went out on their own, the harder it would be for him to protect them.

"Oh yes, I stumbled all over the place. I even had to just use the trees to help me balance." He almost said "because I didn't have a father", but the words had quickly died in his throat. As far as he was concerned, Conri Church did not deserve the title of father. He had never been there for Haven or his siblings and that was for the best, for he was not the sort of person who should be around children. At this point, the Aatte only thought of himself as having one parent and that was Anu. Robin and her siblings didn't need to know of either Conri or Naniko. Anu was the only grandparent worthy of them.

The Knight beamed at his daughter's excitement at knowing she would be allowed to have a bow and take up archery. It was too bad that he could not teach her himself, but he had dedicated himself to swordplay and knew next to nothing about bows and arrows. "Well, we can take a trip and see if there's any in the castle where I found my sword, but I have a feeling any there won't be usable. I believe the tribe to the west of Crimson Dreams, where your grandma and aunt live, knows about archery. Perhaps we can get one there and someone from there could teach you as well." Little did he know that soon AniWaya would not be such a friendly place. "I will hold you to that promise, dear one," he said. Robin would only be allowed this privilege as long as she took it responsibly.

Argh! Sorry for the wait on this again. WC: 850

The little patchwork girl was indeed growing fast, soon enough it would be time for herself and her siblings to find other places to live, the house was already beginning to feel a little cramped with them all piled into it together, practically living on top of one another. She did not want to leave home yet and indeed it would be a while away at the moment, but eventually the time would come, her brother and sister were growing just as she was, soon enough there would be six adult wolves living in the little house, it would be too much for the small building to take. This was far from the small girl's mind at the moment though, she was far too focused on the things that came with youth, imaginary games, climbing trees, playing with her siblings and of course the newest happening in her life, the new Optime form that she had found. Oh what fun she would have in this form, it was almost guarenteed that she would manage to find new and fun adventures and games to play in this new form, she wondered how Linden and Fee would react to see her in this form. She wondered for a moment if Linden would be jealous, she had shifted first after all, he often played her sidekick in their games, she wondered if he would feel the sidekick in this now as well, her being the first of the three to shift might upset Linden, she had not thought about this before now, she crinkled her nose at the idea of her ochre coloured brother being jealous of her.The small patchwork girl looked up at her father as he began to speak again, her tail wagging slightly, she was managing to control it more now, holding it more in place to prevent her falling over again. She enjoyed having time with her Daddy, she was most definately a daddy's girl, she enjoyed the excitement of her father's role in the pack, he was indeed her hero, she adored him; she much preferred spending time with him to spending time with her mother, she loved both of her parents equally, but she often found that time with her father was more exciting. The male explained that he had been just as wobbly as her on her feet and her little tail wagged as she listened to his tale.

For a moment the patchwork female wondered why the male had had to use trees to move about, where had his father been? Surely he had had a daddy just as she did, though she realised that he had never spoken about her father, she had only heard mention of him once, when the sable female who had claimed to be her great grandmother had arrived at the borders; then Haven had mentioned something about his father, it seemed that he had done something terrible, but the little female did not know what it was that he had done. Surely he had also had a mother as well though, grandmother Anu had raised her father, why had she not helped him with the walking?
“Why did you just use trees? Did grandmother not help you?” The small female asked curiously, her head turning to one side as she looked at her father, she wondered what it was that had happened to make him so wary of the sable female and the family that he had. Her father then spoke again, small two tone ears turned to catch the sound of his voice, small patchwork coloured head remaining on one side in thought as she watched her father. The male spoke of finding her a bow, seeing if there was one at the castle where he had found his sword, this excited the little female, it meant that their weapons would be something of a pair in her mind, that they would be linked by coming from the same place, Robin's tail began to wag a little more as she looked at her father, thinking in delight of having her own bow. He then explained that the pack near to where grandma Anu and aunt Mati lived would most likely have a bow and someone to teach her, her tail wagged with excitement. The little female wanted to go now! She wanted to go and see this other pack, to see if there was anything that they might be able to help her with, little did she know that soon she would not want to go anywhere near the spiritual pack that lay in the far West of the lands.
"Oh yes, I would very much like to get a bow, can we go to see them soon? Do you think that they would be happy to help me with learning to use a bow? Where is the castle that you found your sword daddy?" The little female asked, beginning her wandering again, wobbling steps taking her this way and that, though they were markedly more confident and comfortable than they had been when this lesson had begun.
