yay for cute little pups!

It was another normal day in Wolfville; the sun was up, the skies a clear, bright blue.
A young pup was outside alone, chasing what appeared to be a feather along the dusty track. Ascher was now 3 months old, still appearing to be a regular wolf pup. His fur was a pale, chocolately brown, creamy undersides beginning to come through stronger. His bright blue eyes had not changed; it seemed he would have them for life.

Little paws slapped the ground as he went, throwing up puffs of dust. The feather danced before him on a light breeze, just out of reach. A little growl rumbled in his chest and he leapt after it. "Come here!" He reached for it, but in the style of uncoordinated pups, missed spectacularly.

He landed heavily on his paw and his leg gave way beneath him. The pup fell head over heels, before stopping in a tangled mess on his back. He looked around him, taking great delight in seeing the world upside-own. He grinned showing small, pointed teeth, and made no move to get up. This was interesting to him; everything looked so strange and different.

Heavy paws were hard on the ground, clumsy and far too large. The little dark male, still resembling his fathers colouring and not yet grown into the soft creams and whites that would lighten his coat as he grew, padded softly through the garden in the Victorian mansion that had been their home for only a few short weeks. A big grin plastered over his face as bright green eyes, different from his brothers and sister, darted after a grasshopper intent on getting away from its unwanted stalker. Every few moments the young male would give a soft whine, dark paws swiping at the grass in the garden to see if he would be able to catch the grasshopper. This time, as he removed his paw from his unsuccessful swiping, the grasshopper was nowhere the be seen. Disappointment warred on the cherubs face as he looked around, confusion dragging his dark brows down as he looked for the grasshopper. He didnt think to look at his soft padded paw to find the dead grasshopper, squished on his last swipe through the males clumsyness.

His game ruined, the male jumped back the way he'd come, whip-like tail waving high in the air. He couldnt wait for the day his tail was as luschious as Conor's or Bris's, their guardians in this new place. He hadnt seen them today but he knew they were safe, because they were adults and adults were always safe. He crept past the house however, stealth on high as he moved into the streets of Wolfville. A cry caught his attention, folded ears perking to try and catch whatever it was that had made a noise. Curiosity peaked, the young male moved forward the all the unco-ordinated clumsiness of a three month old puppy. He stumbled often although he always managed to defy gravity and stay on his paws. Green eyes were still a little weak, although they were growing in strength every day so that he could see farther. His nose was becoming accustomed only to the scents around him, but the scents of the world outside the doors of the house were enough to confuse him into believing he was along out here.

He saw a figure fall in the distance and at once, puppylike exictement kicked him into gear. Without thinking about it, he rushed forward, pudgy puppy body trying to move as fast as Conor could. His green eyes widened as he saw Ascher on the floor, on his back and looking at the clouds. A sly grin washed over his lips as he paused, before gathering his strength up and propelling himself forward. He jumped, aiming to land horizontally across Ascher's body so their bodies made a cross shape. "Wha'cha doin' on floor Sha?" He asked, still unable to pronounce his brothers full name. He went for the sound instead, a grin on his lips as he leaned over to try and tug on his brothers ears.

The clouds were curious things at any given time, let alone when being viewed upside-own. The wolf pup was fascinated by them. What are they? He wondered how they stayed in the air without anything to hold them up. His round puppy face was lit with excitement, bright, azure eyes shining as he scanned the heavens. Lying like he was, Ascher could not see the ground, and even thought he could feel it, he pretended he was floating among the fluffy white things above him.

That was, until a weight landed on his stomach. The air whooshed out of his lungs with an "Oof!" and his eyes widened in surprise. He hadn't heard his sibling approach; he had been too enthralled with the skies. He shifted his head slightly to see Saul laid over him so that the pair made a cross-shape on the ground. He grinned at his sibling, happy to see him.

"Um, I fell down." Ascher was, as usual stating the obvious. Ears pricked up and he nudged his brother's shoulder with a paw. "Hey Saul lookie at this!" With effort, the young pup tried to shove his sibling off. He waved his fore-paws towards the sky. "Lookie Saul, look at them!"

His body collided with his brothers, their soft puppy fur mingling until they couldnt tell where one body began and ended. His brothers breath puffed out of him and Saul heard a distinct 'oof' from Ascher that made him giggle softly. His brother was a comfy landing spot, he didnt know why he hadnt used his youngest brother as a landing pad before. As the youngest male, but only the second youngest out of the group, Saul still felt the need to protect him. Shiloh was the youngest of them all and she was the most fragile. Fragile in a prissy way. Saul allowed a grin to roll off his lips as he looked back at Ascher, his brothers paw connecting with his shoulder and managing to push him a few inches lower on his brothers body. Ascher answer his question with a rather boring response, but Saul didnt care all that much.

"You'se hurt yurself?"

He questioned quickly. Out of all four of them, the eldest was the worst worrier. He felt responsible for all his siblings and often took the lead in the games they played. Ascher seemed fine, but he had to ask anyway. Asch's voice came again and Saul launched himself back to try and catch his brothers ear and tug it. As he did so, Ascher gave a mighty heave and Saul flopped onto his back with the same 'oof' Asch had given only a few moments. Squirming to try and get a level ground, Saul paused as his brother told him to look up, waving a forepaw in the air. Green eyes widened as he looked at the clouds, despite the fact that he had no idea what they were.

"Wow... Asch lookit!"

He exclaimed, even though his chocolate pelted brother had pointed it out further. Admitting he had no idea what they were was no question. He didnt know what they were, but Ascher didnt know what they were either. He glanced back at his brother, blue eyes to green. "I'sa dwagon breaf" He whispered, imparting great knowledge unto his younger sibling and nodding satisfied to himself. Ascher now knew what they were, which put the young males mind at ease.
