Many Bones

OCC: Near the Howling Caverns but a few hundred yards outise AT borders still, right in between InH and AT. Too lazy to put this in a table at the moment.

Tawny was wandering around once again, despite the consequences of her last little excursion. While her hands were now scabbed over, it was still a painful reminder to not over exert herself when it was clear that she needed a break. Nevertheless, she was looking for more junk to take back to her home for creating random pretties. This time her pack was emptied out, ready to collect new treasures! In the little satchel around her neck was a handful of blueberries. Another small skin wrap at the bottom of the shoulder pack held an assortment of berries. She planned on crushing them and using the juices for painting random things around her hut.

While there were plenty of these bushes around her home, she wanted to harvest outside of pack lands so as to keep their bushes well stocked for food purposes. Everything else was free game, and she had already found a great circular shaped rock to grind them in and use as a paint holder. Scampering along happily, she quickly realized that the scents of her pack’s borders were not even within range anymore. Sighing with frustration, the young woman shifted into Lupus form and trotted along on four paws, moving faster than before. It was also easier in this form to sniff things out, as well as see objects buried in the ground. This, of course, is exactly what happened.

A pleased rumble vibrated through her throat as she stopped and dug for a few moments, latching onto one of the sides of pale bone with her teeth and giving a tug. It seemed as if an entire family of…something had died in this area, as there were a lot of large bones lying about, all half buried. Crowing out her excitement, she began grabbing many of the smaller bones and depositing them in her shoulder pack, until the thing was positively full and she had a hard time walking with it resting on her back. Frustrated with her lack of muscles and strength, she set the bag down and walked around without it, gathering the large bones that looked interesting. She had no idea how they were all going to get back to her home…but somehow they would.

After gathering a massive amount of the bones together and stacking them in a neat pile, Tawny decided to wander a little and see if she could find something to snack on. Like an idiot, she had forgotten to bring any of the dried meat from her home. The buck she’d killed a few days before had been big enough to share with another family and still keep large parts for herself. Even if she hadn’t been able to keep the meat, all of the bones, the skin and antlers were hers to keep, which was a very good thing in her opinion. The young woman was almost too much like a pup to be living on her own out in the middle of the forest. She often forgot to eat, instead going on and on with her little creative projects until she was sick and had a hard time hunting. It was really quite pathetic.

She kept walking until the scents of unfamiliar creatures touched her nose and brought her to an abrupt halt. There had been no border crossing, which she was sure of, but it was obvious that she was skirting along the lines of another pack’s outer edges. Dropping her face to the ground, she took a few long, deep breaths and then turned back in the way that she had come from. There was no desire in her heart to stir up trouble with others, especially not if it would get her leaders involved.

A wild urge had driven Galileo to this place. Nothing more, nothing less. His secui form moved along quickly, not wanting to hang around any longer than he had to. Once his task was over he'd be back within Cercatori borders. He didn't know what had provoked him into visiting his sister, it was probably curiosity, since Goran had contacted him. He himself was trying to find Io, though most definetly for other reasons. Galileo shuddered, kepping his mind well away from that.

Goran and Io had been... friends of sorts back home. Io had supposably found comfort in his laid back ways and elder charm. And the ebony male himself had fallen for her, somewhat pleasent company. Neither of these facts were held in high regard as far as Galileo cared, and with that he shook his head and moved forward. While he had been partial to a moment of company with Goran, he wasn't overly crazy about the elder man.

Anathema was close, he could smell it. And another pack, a new one. He had heard chinese whispers about the place but had never bothered to learn about it. This female as he could now see was near the cave dwellers borders, and with an air of casualness on his voice, he spoke, 'You know, I don't think they like you being near their borders'.

Being oblivious to the world was a good thing for the girl most of the time; it helped her to accept the people who loved her without pushing them away. Most times it just hindered her ability to care for herself, like now as the sounds of a deep voice drew Tawny from her searching, startling her greatly. It didn’t register in her child like mind that someone might find her out in the hardly neutral territory, figuring that there wouldn’t be wanderers like herself. Growling softly, she turned around and backed up until her body was pressed against a tree. A small rib bone was held in one hand, something that could be used as a weapon to some, but for her it was just a toy. Her blue eyes widened slightly as she watched the male, trying to gauge his emotions.

If he was a part of this pack she was dangerously close to, he had the right to tell her to scram and drop a warning. If not, then she wouldn’t be any less nervous, just not as frightened about the reasoning behind his unfriendly approach. Reacting like the little girl she really was, her ears fell flat against her head, tail tucked tightly between her legs, and she crouched a little bit, showing him that she was clearly no threat and didn’t want any trouble. The submissive stance was a show of weakness and fear, not something that many wolves, coyotes or dogs liked others to see very often. Tawny used it all the time though; it was the only thing she knew.

The girl whined softly and dropped the bone in her hand to the ground before bringing her hands up and clasping them together nervously. ”I’m s-sorry..p-plee-please don’t hurt m-me.” Her words were spoken with a soft, broken voice. It was clear that she’d been through some things before to immediately think a stranger was going to try to hurt her.

no problem, thanks for having an AW when I needed one XD

He moved slowly towards her, laughing as he did. In his mind his laugh hadn't seemed so nasty and callous. In reality nothing he did seemed as bad as it actually was. He had inherited it from his mother, she was the one person who would turn a blind eye to his games. But in the end pressure from peers and the soon retiring Miroslav had forced her to do otherwise. What irritated him though was that he saw no sorrow in her eyes and in the end he found himself happy to leave. He had matured a lot since then however and now found himself craving the respect and responsibility he had once been offered if he calmed his games.

He considered his next move, smiling softly, almost crulely. And then he spoke, 'I'm not going to hurt you'. His words were abrupt, but none the less relaxed by his the natural charm in his voice. He had no right to tell her to do anything, in fact all he had said was that he didn't suppose that they wouldn't enjoy trespassing. He smiled again, he was enjoying this actually, this was somewhere near respect he guessed.
