daredevil in the making.

Eclipse was traveling. It was only a short get away though, not long enough for her to leave her home for too long. She even had Buttercup with her. It wouldn't take her so long to get back home, though she was not so good with riding. The horse jostled her quite a bit, though the mare had always been gentle, and seemed to like Eclipse. The girl always gave the dun mare snacks all the time. They found their ways into the meadows just outside of the mountains, a nice place to ride, and learn too, though there were plenty like that at home, she just felt it would be nice to have a new scenery once in a while. The horse was excited, mostly because it was near where her herd went at times and Eclipse hadn't thought of it, so she could feel the horse's restlessness.

Eclipse had never gone faster than a trot, mostly because she had trouble with that, so when the horse thought she saw something and bolted Eclipse was not ready for it and slipped off the horse. There weren't enough saddles, so the only thing that was between the girl and the horse was a blanket and that blanket wasn't much for keeping her on, and as she fell she tried landing on her feet, which was a bad idea. She felt her feet touch the ground, but one slipped on a rock and she twisted it. Pain coursed through her entire body as she fell, and because of the pain she fell further than she meant to, though she didn't plant her face into the thick green grass. She let out an involuntary cry. Normally she was tougher, but it was a massive surprise and she wasn't sure what happened at first. The horse heard this and came back to investigate, still slightly shaken as though she'd seen a snake or something hunting her.
