Denver's possessions had so far remained few since his migration here, but lately he had been feeling the need for more things. He specifically needed useful things, since his last job had gone less well than it could have. Denver owned no tools nor weapons of any kind. During his travels he had carried a knife for protection, but found it largely unnecessary and abandoned it. Now, though, things were different, and he would need weapons. He had the bidding of a King and Queen to do now, and would be certain to do it properly.

With weaponry in mind, he had headed to Halifax, assuming that there must have been some shop there that still protected a slew of those sorts of tools. Cursing himself as the hours dragged, Denver realized how useful a mount like a horse might have been now; it was a shame the animals were so large and unruly. He despised them.

The afternoon was fully onset as he arrived on the outskirts of the worn city. It was crumbling, decaying; much of it had already been raided or was simply destroyed. As he moved further into the city, he managed to find some clusters of buildings still mostly intact. Still hopeful, the pale wolfdog moved in and out of the various shops, searching. Most of these places held nothing useful, but eventually ice blue eyes fell on something of interest. Moving inside, his eyes widened at the slew of treasures hidden here. Thick rope, several rusting hand saws, and various other hardware tools and miscellaneous items lay scattered about. Much had been picked through, but there were still some gems there; he was sure he could find something useful here. He began to examine things, tossing unworthy items to the ground with distaste or disinterest. He would find what he needed.
