Anyone's welcome. :3 Gorey table cause I haven't used it in a long time and it kind of fits the drama plot. I'm getting bored with Sky's romance problems so with her finally being with Tal, I figured I'd put her through a little more drama. Don't be afraid to make this into something fight-tastic. Big Grin

She didn't know of the troubles in AniWaya. Sky had gone there twice before for supplies and both times she'd been greeted warmly and without much complication. She'd left both times with the supplies she'd come for and a little less herbs than she'd arrived with. Good trades. Good business. Good relations.

She was running low on cat-mint again and the only bushels she'd found of it were dried, picked clean or dead beyond repair. She knew of a large patch just inside AniWaya territory so without knowing the danger, she'd packed her bags, kissed Tal goodbye (she didn't mention where she was getting the cat-mint, simply that she was getting some and it might take her a full day to return) and headed off for their troubled neighbors. By that time, it was still very early in the morning.

She arrived in good time (sometime in the late afternoon), thanks to good weather and an easily kept pace. As she came up to the borders, a gentle sigh of wind crossed her path and she hummed thoughtfully at the cool feeling it gave her. It felt nice on her tired legs, admittedly worn from the trek over. Even as the wind picked up, she could do no more than enjoy it...

Except... maybe it wasn't as much cool as it was... cold. Unwelcoming. Surely this wasn't AniWaya, the friendly pack of spiritual animal lovers, giving off this sick feeling! Couldn't be. This place is as safe as any. Ralla would never let it come to that.

She smiled and shook off the unwanted feeling of dread. Adjusting her bag of goods (various cooked meats and some trinkets she'd found) the girl stopped only to sniff the air before stepping up to the border and howling that sing-song howl. Hopefully someone would greet her soon. The longer she spent away from D'Arte, the more she felt the need to go home and cuddle up to her new mate or clean the house... again. Still, she did need the cat-mint...

Ayasha was patrolling when she saw the form of a woman near their borders. She approached but kept herself hidden, waiting to see what the woman wanted. She smelled like Cercatori d’Arte so she relaxed a bit. All the members she met were more or less harmless, except for Liam. He was a bit volatile but hadn’t hurt her.

She was curious as too why the woman was here. She howled for someone and so Ayasha stepped into sight. She smiled, friendly but still a bit wary. ”Hello. Is there anything I can do to help you?” She totally forgot to introduce herself. So she mentally chastised herself and spoke up. ”My name is Ayasha, a scout of AniWaya. What might your name be?”

She thought, Yes. Welcome to the current hellhole of ‘Souls. She was a bit angry at Maska turning this place into an attraction for the wrong reasons. They did want to know the Tribe or its members; they wanted to know if they were going to be attacked by AniWaya next. But as much as she hated what was happening to the Tribe, she would stay and help her mother make it better.

WC:000+ - Big Grin Ohai!

Apparently the service here was fantastic. As soon as the echoes of her howl died away, a white lady appeared, with indigo eyes and a friendly smile on her face. Good afternoon, miss Ayasha. I'm Sky Katruk, d'Arte's medic. I was hoping someone here would be willing to trade a few herbs.

She smiled politely, her sing-song voice calm and collected, sweet to the ears and sky blue eyes dancing behind strong walls. Surely this lady wasn't any threat, so of course, Sky kept her guard up but not noticable. For now, there was peace, and as far as she knew, AniWaya was a friendly place to visit anyways.

I need cat-mint. I came by here in the early spring looking for someone once and noticed a few healthy patches of it inside the borders. I've brought some things to trade and I'm willing to offer my services if anyone's in need of a healer's touch. Another friendly smile.

She gave a snort of laughter at being called miss. She definitely was not old enough for that title. But she inclined her head and greeted. ”It’s nice to meet you, but you came to AniWaya at a bad time.” She wanted to tell Sky to leave and not come back but she did. At the mention of trading, she shrugged. ”I guess we can.” She didn’t care what Maska thought about their neighbors, she was going to be friendly to them.

Ayasha wondered how much Sky knew about what was going on in AniWaya. Not as many people would be as nice to her as she was. If there were a guardian around, they would run her off without mercy or explanation. Luckily for Sky, Ayasha was friendly, if a bit wary around strangers. Maska had definitely forced her to grow up and calm down.

At Sky’s request and offer, Ayasha nodded, ”I don’t really know what plant that is or where it would be, you can come across and go to it. I’ll need to escort you though. And trade would be good.” Though healing touch, she shook her head slightly. ”What really needs to healed is our new leader’s head and heart.” And the prisoners.

WC:000+ - Nosey.

Well at least she was letting her past the borders. Sky cocked her head at the last comment though, as she stepped inside the border casually. I can do mental healing as well... what's troubling your leader? Sky wasn't the type to snoop but as a healer of sorts, she always took the extra time to lend a helping paw where needed. Mix that with the innocent curiousity she still had about her and you had what could've appeared as a spy.

She rolled her shoulders a bit as they turned for the territory, Sky heading for where she'd seen the catmint months before. I don't mean to intrude on your pack's business, of course. Think of me as... a loyal preformer for my pack.. but a medic for hire as well. I do medical jobs for anyone who asks, even if it's mental medicine. She winked at that, proud of her mixed skills. With any luck, she could possibly help solve a problem here in their neighbor's lives.

At what was troubling her leader, she shook her head sadly. ”He’s been terrorizing Crimson Dreams and us. He’s been doing this because of what he says are the beliefs of the Great Tribe. We’re part of them but separate at the same time. It has slowly gotten worse.” She sighed. It felt good to tell someone but she wasn’t sure how much that would help the situation.

Ayasha allowed Sky to lead the way to whatever plant she needed. There was a lot on her mind, both good and bad. Her siblings were safe but there was a lot of hardship anyway. And there was always the possibility of her mother getting punished for sending her siblings away. But she would not tell anyone where they were.

At not intruding on the business of AniWaya, she shrugged. ”Enough people come by because of the spectacle that Maska has made the Tribe,” She was a bit disgusted by him. ”The best thing that you could do for us is kill him. You wouldn’t be willing to do that would you?” She was hopeful but also not very serious. It was a bit too much for her to handle. She was getting close to want to strangle him with her own hands.

WC:000+ - A tainted offer to help. Do I sense a new Sky plot? :o

Killing someone's misguided leader? Pah. Easy candy to take. The inner voice chided darkly, reminding Sky that she wasn't as cured as many were led to believe. We could be this pack's reigning hero if we did that. Imagine the possibilities, Sky. But what of his followers? She couldn't possibly find time to get them all out of the picture. Surely this crazy man wasn't working alone. What if they thought the causes were natural? AniWaya could replace him within a night with a better, more stable leader and the rest would be easy to cure.

Perhapes not I... She murred quietly, stopping to take a step closer to the girl, eyes darkened with 'who' was in control. ...there is a poison though. A dark mixture I learned during my studies. There's no cure to it, as it's made from snake venom. She mused thoughtfully, waving a hand for the girl, Ayasha, to follow once more. I could offer him a gift of sorts, some cooked meat maybe, and pretend to be a traitor to my own pack. The very thought of doing so for real curdled her blood, but an undercover mission could prove victorious if done right.

...I'll gather the herbs today but I'll be back within a week if you want this problem solved. Evil girl. Meet me at the borders, same place, in one week, if you can, Ayasha. Treat me like a joiner and bring me to him. I'll offer him a fresh kill, as a sign of good faith in hopes he'll let me join. If all goes well, you'll be able to breath freely come the next full moon, my dear. Killing leaders? What next, Sky? Or was it even Sky at this point..?

OOC: Ayasha wasn't totally serious but she'll be happy.

IC: Ayasha was wondering what the dark brown female was thinking. But when she started to talk and took a step towards Ayasha, she forced herself not to take a step back. She followed Sky, her mind racing about what she was being told. They could finally rid themselves of Maska? But…she wasn’t sure she liked the method.

”Um…Are you sure you want to do that? What if you get caught?” She did take a step back at the evil grin. She really was torn. On the one hand, they would be getting rid of Maska. But then there were all the risks. Plus, the spirits might not be pleased with her. She sighed. There wasn’t much she could do.

At meeting Sky, she sighed. ”I’m not high enough of a rank to greet joiners. Plus, I don’t really want to get caught. I’ve already caused trouble so they’ll be suspicious of me. You won’t mention me, will you?” She knew that she might seem like a coward but this wasn’t something she could afford to do. ”Though I do hope you succeed. That man deserves worse than poison. Though be careful of the Guardians, his lackeys.”

WC:000+ - Sky's entirely serious cause she's crazy. Tongue

A shame you won't be helping then. She glanced back at the now timid girl. Not to worry. I won't get caught. Just don't point me out when I join the ranks, m'kay? She smiled, this time a touch sweeter rather than evil. I'm trusting you, so trust me when I say, I never even saw you. She grinned wickedly again, this time stopping to sweep down and pick up a few green plants growing at the roots of an old tree. The cat-mint.

Tell me more about these Guardians, though. How many are there and names if you know any... She was bending down as she said this, picking as many as the cat-mint plants as she could carry in her bag. She stood again once they were tucked away safely, ready to leave. Escort me back to the borders, Ayasha? Sky's tone was so normal saying that, simply friendly and social. It was as if the conversation wasn't about treason or sin at all.

OOC: Want to wrap it up with your post?

IC: Ayasha sighed in resignment. ”It’s not that I don’t want to help you, its just that I’m already in trouble with Maska and his goons. But I can help you by not giving you away. And if there is something you need help with, let me know OK?” She still was a bit unnerved by the evil smiles that Sky was making.

She wondered if this was a good idea. They needed to get rid of Maska but poisoning him? That seemed a bit low. But anything to get rid of him right? She sighed. She needed to get away again and think. Maybe she would go to Grandfather’s Tears after Sky left. And she and Dichali could talk and figure things out.

At how many Guardians there were and their names, she nodded reluctantly. ”There are ten. But I only know two of their names. Wematin and Shadi. The Guardians answer only to Maska and are deadly warriors. I think Wematin is the worse. He has no emotion while carrying out punishments.” She shivered slightly at the though of what he had done to her mother for her speaking out. She followed Sky to the borders, hoping that the terrors would soon end.
