Private for Becca/Pearl Big Grin

The morning was bright and sunny, despite the change of the season into autumn it seemed that the weather was having one last attempt at a summer time moment. The sky was mostly clear and a beautiful light blue, with only a few small fluffy clouds floating across it, the sun was bright and high in the sky, casting a warm yellow glow across the lands. The leaves that still clung to the trees were startingto turn yellow and red, making the land seem a lot more autumnal and colourful than it had been for a while, the summer flowers had died off, leaving a lack of colour in the lands, the bright petals no longer dotting the green grasses with their splashes of bright reds and yellows and blues, but now at least some other colours had returned to the lands. Small animals were all collecting food for the harsh winter to come, taking it to store for when the cold Canadian winter took hold of the land and food became scarce. Most of the birds were in the process of leaving, or had already left, many of the species that resided here had chosen to move south for the winter, the annual migration being an important factor in their lives, they went there as to survive through the cold winter, only the hardiest of the birds remained here to attempt to brave the winter months, though there were fewer of them than there were last year, many being killed by the heavy snows of last year. In the midst of all this a small wolf with a patchwork pelt of many colours bounced about. She was talking to her horse, Scarlett, a large butter cream coloured mare with a white mane and tail. The patient horse watched her with large dark eyes as the girl bounced from foot to foot, telling the mare about her latest adventures in the lands, about fighting imaginary foes that had been there, the pirates and her newest favourite imaginary baddy, vampires.

The small girl, Robin was rather an excitable creature, she was always making up new stories to tell her siblings and her new favourite companion. She was often making up new games to play as well, either with her siblings or by herself, it was getting to a point where her siblings were getting older and although they still enjoyed in joining in with make believe the trio were not often together anymore, they were often seperated now, doing their own thing, no longer shadowing their parents and causing havoc in the house. The little female was growing fast herself, being the first of her siblings to accomplish shifting and she was in her Optime form this morning, she quite liked it now, despite the wobbling start that she had gotten off to with it, she had not been able to work it at all when she had first shifted, being completely unable to stay upright for more than a few moments at a time, but now she was beginning to find that moving in this form was second nature to her, indeed she had even managed to accomplish a cartwheel in this form now. Now that the little female had worked out how to walk and move in this form she found that, like her father, she preffered it, life was so much easier once one had hands, it meant that she could hold Scarlett's lead rope if she needed to and that she could finally learn to use a bow. The small girl was growing now though and quickly, already she had noticed that she was a lot taller than she had been, no doubt soon she would be close to her adult height. She padded towards the large mare carefully, reaching up a muted grey hand and gently stroking the mare, who ruffled her curled mane with her nose in return, the small girl giggled and bounced away, beginning a game of chase with the large horse. Just as she had hoped Scarlett gave chase and the pair of them began bouncing around one another, Robin giggling and the mare letting out the occasional whinnie as they played.

OOC: Eek! Sorry about the wait.

IC: Pearl had been preoccupied with cooking. So much so that she had yet to meet many new people. Although the coywolf was very shy around strangers, except when she was very nervous or excited, she loved to be near others, even if they didn’t talk with each other. So she had left the manor and decided to go exploring.

She felt like it was amazing outside and that today would be a good day. She believed strongly that the weather and other forces could foretell what a place, person, or time would be like. She wasn’t sure how much a higher being interacts with the world or what shape the higher being(s) take. She liked to believe that it or they helped the people that were good and punished those that were bad.

As she wondered around, she heard giggling and a horse whinnying. Pearl smiled softly. It sounded like a youngster. Not that she was old. She was only 2. She followed the sound of laughter and gave a giggle herself. This adorable young girl was plying with a much larger mare. Though the girl couldn’t be too young since she was in optime form. Pearl remembered changing when she was about 6 and ½ months old. So the girl before her must be about that age. But she didn’t say anything, just watching the two with a soft smile on her face. Though she did wish that she could join in their play.

The little patchwork girl was greatly enjoying the game with the mare that she had adopted, Scarlett seemed to be enjoying it as well, bouncing after the girl, chasing her but always seeming to allow her to get away, even though with her long powerful legs she would have managed to catch her up and indeed pass her. They bounded around one another, Robin paused for a moment, moving to pat the mare's neck gently, she was one of her closest friends, the pale mare had become both her guardian and her confidant, the Aatte girl was usually seen with the horse nowadays, she was a member of her gang, she was going to be like the real Robin Hood and have her band of Merry men and go around the place saving those who needed help. Scarlett was already a member of this group, as was Linden, and perhaps Liam and Jiva if they wanted to be as such, she wondered if they might, she liked them both, feeling a little that Jiva might be a younger brother when the pair grew up, Liam on the other hand already seemed to be the kind of wolf that might be just as adventurous as she, she could already imagine that they would be exploring the lands together. She smiled as she thought this before going back to play, bouncing around the mare again, ducking this way and that way around her large body as she moved. This continued for a short while until her eyes caught a flash of bright ochre nearby. For a moment she thought it was her father, excellent! She could ask him to teach her to ride today, after all she had her horse here and she was proving that she had improved her balance in her Optime form, being nimble and light as she moved, she had even discovered how to cartwheel; yes, surely it was time for the young patchwork girl to learn to ride, she hoped her father agreed. The girl paused in her bouncing around and looked more closely at the figure standing nearby, alas it was not her father, it was an ochre female. This of course did not dampen the girl's mood; after all here was a potential new friend. She moved to pat Scarlett's neck gently, smiling across at the brightly coloured stranger.
“Shall we go and say hello?... Yes I think we should as well.” The small girl whispered to the mare, pausing, awaiting a reply, the mare gave a small toss of her head and that was all the agreement that the small female needed.

She caught hold of the mare's head collar and padded towards the stranger, smiling at her, the wind was blowing her scent across to the small girl's nostrils so she knew that she was a member of the pack, so she knew that there was nothing to fear, her Daddy had told her that all the pack members were to be trusted, that they were friends, that the pack was practically extended family, they were just not tied by blood. She reached the reddish furred female quickly and smiled at her.
"Hello, I'm Robin, who're you? Do you want to play too?" The young Aatte asked, smiling up at the unfamiliar female in greeting, patting at Scarlett's neck gently, the mare was sometimes cautious around wolves that she did not know, she was very protective of her wolven charge and seemed to want to look after her at all times, so often she would be wary of strangers; but this female smelt of the pack, so it seemed that the pale mare trusted her. She smiled at the female, her tail wagging, the patchwork girl always loved meeting new wolves, often they became new friends and she always loved having new wolves to be friends with. She watched her with large blue eyes, smiling up at the female.

OOC: Sorry yet again about the wait.

IC: Apparently she had been noticed. The girl and her horse had come towards her. There was a discussion between her and the horse. Though Pearl thought that it was a fairly one-sided with the young girl talking to the horse and the horse mostly doing horse-y things. Granted, she knew of some canines that knew how to speak to horses, in low speech. But she had also heard that it was very difficult for people to learn. So she didn’t think that the young patchwork female knew how to speak like that yet.

Yet she kept a smile on her face, albeit a shy and slightly embarrassed one. ”It’s nice to meet you, Robin. I’m Pearl and I’m new here. I didn’t mean to interrupt you and your play.” Her ears were laid against her head in embarrassment. At Robin’s invitation to play, however, her ears perked back up. It had been a long time since she had played like a young child. It made her miss her playmate, her older brother Jude. But then again she had been the one to leave her family. Hopefully they would make it up in this area at some point.

Her attention drifted back to the young girl in front of her. ”Sure.” She gently poked Pearl and ran a short distance, shouting, ”You’re It!” She giggled and waited to see if she had a pursuer. She hoped that this was something that Robin would like to do.

No problem, I have been slow myself, I have no laptop of my own at the moment so am having to steal the little bro's lol. WC: 581

The young patchwork girl did not know how to speak low speech, nor did the horse speak what the wolves spoke. But the pair seemed to have an understanding between the two of them, at least Robin liked to think so, she liked the idea that the mare was replying with her whinnies and nickers and the tosses of her head. This might not have been the case, but the small girl liked to think that way. Scarlett was fond of the young Aatte girl though, this much was clear, she followed the young girl around protectively, always keeping a careful eye on the little wolf. The pair of them seemed to share a bond however, the little patchwork girl loved her horse dearly and it seemed that Scarlett reciprocated, she was very protective of the young girl, when they were out together she would appear threatening towards strangers until she deemed them worthy and harmless. But she seemed unbothered by Pearl, almost like she knew that the girl was no threat to her patchwork charge. Pearl replied to Robin's greeting, saying that she was new and that she was sorry for interrupting the girl and her horse in their game, the small girl shook her multicoloured head as she looked up at the older female.
"Hello Pearl, it is nice to meet you, how long have you been here? Don't worry, you're not interrupting at all, we always like having new friends to play with." Rovin replied earnestly, smiling at the ochre coloured female. What she had said was all true, the little female loved her horse, but she also enjoyed making new friends, especially when they were members of the pack, the small girl could never have enough playmates in her mind, already she was attempting to form a little group of adventurers and heroes, just like Robin Hood, her hero, had in her favourite books. The small girl smiled softly as she looked up at the larger female, Scarlett tossed her head, letting out a soft whinny as she looked at Pearl. Robin took this to mean that the mare was upset at having not been introduced, the pale mare tossed her head again, white mane flowing in the breeze.
"Sorry." Robin said to Scarlett quietly, patting at the large mare's neck.
"This is Scarlett, she's my horse and my friend." The young girl said with a smile, patting at the female's neck again.

The ochre girl's face seemed to light up as Robin offered to play with her, she tagged the patchwork girl and bounced off. Robin grinned, her tail wagging furiously as she looked at the older female, a laugh escaped her lips and she pounced forwards. Scarlett cantered off a short distance, seeming to know that the girl was now "it" and not wanting to be tagged, she trotted here and there, running around, letting out a cheerful neigh. The patchwork girl looked between the two females, one equine, one wolven and decided that the easier chase would probably be in Pearl. She let out another hearty giggle and gave chase after the ochre girl, dipping this way and that so that she could not guess where she was heading. Finally she caught her arm and grinned.
"Now you're it!" The girl said with a loud laugh, racing away again, giggling as she fled. She raced over to Scarlett, who took off in the opposite direction, Robin chased after her, attempting to hide behind her.

Pearl grinned at her apparently new friend. It was nice that this girl was polite and friendly. Whoever raised her, did it well. She knew that parents often rubbed off on their children. Her mother was a bit wild and carefree, which she could be, and her father was hardworking and quiet, which she was also. So she could assume at least one Robin’s parents was friendly and polite.

She replied to the girl’s question. ”I haven’t been here long.” Pearl giggled at the horse’s reaction. ”It’s a pleasure to meet you, Scarlett.” The horse seemed nice and had a definite personality. It was kind of funny. She knew from her own experiences with horses that they each had their own personality. She remembered her mother’s horse was headstrong and her father’s was very gentle.

As Robin caught her arm, Pearl gave a playful yelp and glare. As Robin took off and went after the horse, she ran off after them, giggling as she did so. She hadn’t had so much fun in such a long time. She would have to spend more time with Robin. She hoped that Robin’s parents would be OK with her spending time with Robin. She was such a sweet girl.

I am so, so sorry for the wait on this, it's been a hectic few days and then my internet died Sad I am sorry my dear. WC: 403

The little patchwork girl grinned at the ochre female, it was lovely to play with another friend, another pack mate. It was nice to have met Pearl, the young female wondered what Pearl's story was, where she had come from, where she had been in the past. The small girl had never really had any adventures, well not yet; at least not real ones, she had a vivid imagination and she had been playing many games with her siblings and friends where she had been running around and vanquishing enemies. But she had never really lived a lot, she had simply had a normal and nice childhood, she had grown up with both her parents and her uncle, her brother and sister to play with, all in all she had had a rather marvelous childhood, she had no idea how lucky she was, she had no idea that it was a rare thing in these lands to have had a nice normal childhood. It was interesting listening to the female spoke, she had not been here long then, Robin wondered what had brought the girl here, she wondered how much of the lands her new ochre friend had seen.
"Are you liking it here so far then? Have you explored much? There are lots of really fun places to see around here, I can show you if you like?" The little female offered, smiling up at the slightly taller female. The large mare replied to Pearl's comment with a cheerful neighing sound, before trotting away to start the game. The small female grinned at her new friend, curiosity burning in her large blue eyes as she raced about, she could not help but wonder what the ochre female had been through in her time. The patchwork female giggled and hid behind the horse, laughing at the red pelted female as she raced towards them again, now that she was "it" she was to be avoided at all costs; the pale mare seemed to know this and raced off at a canter, avoiding the new pack member.

The young female giggled at the larger girl, diving to one side of her, trying to dance past her before she was caught and made "it" once again. She could not help but giggle as she did so, the patchwork female adored playing games and she loved making new friends,it was wonderful to have met Pearl today.
