Today was an important day, because her mother had given her a task. Eris may have meant it more as a "get out of my hair, go bother your babysitter" remark, but that wasn't the way that Ataxia had taken it. To her, it was a serious mission and she needed to complete it with all appropriate haste. As soon as the order was given, she had taken off for Magnolia's den. The den was not far and even though she was young, she new the route by heart. Eris probably followed behind to make sure her daughter arrived safely anyway. If so, Ataxia wouldn't have noticed because she was intent upon reaching her goal. As soon as she arrived at the den, she promptly dove into her babysitter's home and started sniffing around: she had to find Magnolia!

In the way of the very young (and perhaps the very old), she quickly forgot what her special mission was. So it was that instead of going to find Magnolia to check in and see what they would be doing for the day, she started to poke around. Whatever she found close enough to the ground, she would sniff, look at, and poke. Most things were boring, but she was hoping to find something of interest. Something shiny or something tasty. Things she could take and possibly convince Mag to give to her. Already she had a lovely piece of jewelry from Tlantli, she could expand this collection if she found more fun things!

I suck! Sorry for not replying when I said I would :< Btw, Magz lives in the ruins, in an abandoned shack Big Grin
Table by Tawny!

Magnolia’s birthday ‘party’ had turned the girl into a swooning, delightful creature reminiscent of the way she used to be as a pup. She was floating in the air from the wonderful way her get together had ended up. Her ego had finally started to re-inflate for the first time since coming to Salsola. She was respected, an adult, a yearling with a purpose that had been treated maturely by the rest of the pack. Maggie couldn’t have asked for a better birthday gift.

The day found the mohawked girl pouncing outside her den as she was trying to hone her stealth skills. A scent came wafting through her nose, one that was unfamiliar but covered with Eris and Larkspur’s respective scents. Eyes widening, she followed the smell, which surprised the girl to find its source coming from… her home? The girl cocked her head in curiosity as she made her way back to her decrepit living quarters. Most of the rooms were draped in shadows due to the high sun, but there was that unmistakable pumpkin gleam coming from her bedroom.

Maggie was going to be sneaky. This must be one of Eris’s new litter that she told Maggie about not too long ago. The Associate grinned from ear to ear as she crouched into place. The pup was distracted with something on the floor, and she saw this as the right time to strike. Maggie quickly moved to the part of the room the pup occupied, and swooped the little body up with her dainty optime hands. What do we have here? the Associate asked slyly, knowing full well who she had picked up.

There were so many interesting things in here! It was hard to focus on just one thing. Actually, Ataxia didn't even really try. She just sniffed at one thing, caught a different smell and sniffed at that. There were smells that had been brought from outside Salsola into the pack and different wolf scents. All of it was fascinating to a puppy usually confined to the area around her mother's home. There was a lot that she had left to learn about what the world had to offer. There was no smell of Sirius that she caught or Eris or Larkspur or Bastion or either of her sisters. So she was the first princess to come here. She wondered if Artemisia and Harlowe would be jealous when she told them. They probably would because they were back home. Back home was boring. There were way more fun things in this shack than where she came from. Probably because they were newer to the young pup's eager senses.

Ataxia was so absorbed in what she was doing that she didn't even notice when Magnolia came in. With her back turned to the entrance, she shoved her nose into a corner of the shack to scent at something interesting. Right as she was trying to figure out what it was, she was swept up into someone's arms. She let loose a surprised little yelp, her ears flattening and her body automatically going limp. Uh oh! Her bright blue eyes looked at the face of her captor, who was speaking already and asking who they had. Ataxia wiggled her tail to look as cute and innocent as possible. "I Ataxia! You Mag?" she asked, poking her nose at the adult. If she was able to reach, she would lick at the Luperci female's jawline. She knew how to wield her adorableness.

ataxia is so cute :3!

Magnolia was surprised at how friendly the little beast was. She had that typical puppy charm oozing out of her, and Magnolia gave her a lick in return on her tiny cheek to let the girl know she wasn’t going to hurt her. Maggie had been dying for Eris to show the pups to her, so Maggie was ecstatic t to see one of them made their way over here on their own! The associate wagged her tail and put the young one down back on the floor. The last thing she wanted to do was hurt the pup.

I am, and you’re Eris’s girl aren’t you? she said simply, getting down on all four limbs to be closer to the ebony puppy. Magnolia had been afraid of wolves in their two legged forms when she was this young, and so she didn’t want to scare her new friend off just yet. The bambino was adorable, and Maggie let out a few quick giggles as she looked at her new friend, a warm smile creeping up her face. She had noticed Ataxia looking at the few goodies she had collected and so picked up a particularly shiny necklace that Magnolia had found ages ago. It was a long, dainty string with large pink pearls spaced out down the chain. Look at this! I found it in Halifax, do you know where that is? Magnolia doubted it, but it was worth asking anyway. She knew Eris wouldn’t raise her children to be stupid.

Sorry for the delay! Wedding planning craziness... which doesn't seem like it will die down until well into December or January if ever. GAAHHH. D:

[/html]It was perhaps more survival than anything that drove her to being adorable. When hoisted up to an unsafe height - from her perspective, this was well over ten times her height above ground - look cute and avoid getting dropped or otherwise hurt. Not that Magnolia had ever threatened her or even suggested that harm might be caused. Just that she knew how to be cute when she needed it. Besides, she was adorable in her own way, even normally. Though perhaps some wouldn't have thought it "cute" that she loved to growl and tear things up. It was just instinct teaching her every day, though. So that someday she would be a fierce hunter and a loyal packmate to all of the Salsolan family.

She was glad, though, when the older female sat down. Mostly because it meant there was no possibility of falling and getting injured. Her tail wagged even faster to show her appreciation. "Erissssspawn! Ataxia!" she said proudly, as if that was her name. Erisspawn Ataxia, indeed. That was far less important than the shiny things that Magnolia was starting to show her. In particular, a shiny loop thing from a place called Halifax. Though the word might have been thrown around before, the young D'Angelo wasn't familiar with what it meant. Her nostrils flared as she looked at the dangling thing, distracted by it. There had been a question, though... oh! "No no! Whaaaaa is, wha is?!" Ataxia excitedly bounced on her feet, looking imploringly at her babysitter. What was a Halifax?

>________> Shittttttt, sorry!

Maggie’s heart was surely going to burst. The little one’s voice rang out shrilly in the morning air; her clever remark sent a short bark of laughter out of Magnolia’s throat. “Erisspawn? Well Ataxia my darling, it’s nice to meet you,” the girl chuckled. Who had taught the pup such a ridiculous phrase? Either way, Magnolia smiled as she twirled the necklace so that it caught the light anMad was extra shiny for the puppy.

Ataxia asked what a Halifax was, and the Associate continued to giggle at the little pup’s remarks. “Halifax is a place, very far away from here. Humans used to live there, and we wolves go adventuring there from time to time. It’s very cool, you should get your mother to take you some time!” Indeed Magnolia found the sprawling city to be quite frightening every time she had gone. She wondered how brave this little thing thought she was. Perhaps if she was with Larkspur Ataxia would be taken care of.

“What game would you like to play, Taxi?” Maggie’s few memories growing up were from when she used to play tag with her sisters when she was very tiny. She played it a little with some of her kingdom pack mates, but it wasn’t quite as fun. “Wanna play tag?” she asked excitedly, but before the little one had a chance to respond, Magnolia shot like a bullet out the door, optime legs carrying her far.
