Odessa had left the common areas that morning with little, well nothing really, to do. She supposed she could always start angling for some kind of co-rank, but which one exatcly was lost on her so, sadly, so was that idea. As for the Casador co-rank, Salvia had gotten there first and she was in no contest with her cousin. Odessa had also heard pin drops about the Pescador rank and that was something that interested her. It was hunting, which was something she found herself getting more and more skilled at whenever she ventured out. But as far as she was concerned, a Pescador's work included fishing, which was something she had not yet found herself attempting.

So Odessa moved slong slowly through the familiar territory, she had donned her Optime form as she usually did, a flower she had picked up some while back in her trek slotted carefully behind her ear. It was a white colour, though which exact species she was unaware of. She wore it only for the aesthetic value. Dessa was bored though, try as she might to deviate her mind for the lack of stimulating activites directly at hand. Perhaps she could travel out of territory and find something to draw with. Unlikely as it was to find a notebook in working order after all this time, it would at least give her a goal.

With a sigh she halted some ways away from the ruins, unsure of exact what to spend her day doing. Of course there was always the option for adventure, though she saw little point in it because she always felt herself fretting that she would find herself lost. She could always adventure close to where someone could find her if she fell into any troubles, and so this was something she stood to ponder alone.

437(+3) :: HI!!!!

Blood stained fingers spun a stick over a piece of dry wood, trying to produce a sparkle or something. A skinned and dismembered rabbit laid beside her, the skin nowhere to be seen. Xochime had neglected her cooking abilities for quite a long time, and it was almost due for her to start thinking about something to bring to the fest that would take place in a few days. She was by no means skilled in crafting, so the only option that she had was cooking. She had cooked for her previous masters several times, and she had to admit that she was not bad at doing so.

Finally some smoke came from the spot where the stick made friction, and within seconds, the family member managed to light a small pile of dried sticks and wood. Then, she placed the pieces of meat over a piece of crust and beside the fire to cook them slowly. Her job done, she sighed and stood up grabbing her rudimentary stone knife from beside her feet and walking a few paces away from the burning bonfire. Choosing a spot under the shadows of a tree she laid over the soft vegetation, making herself a cozy bed. Her lively looks were the same as always. Her normal self, except for her nose ring, which was carefully attached to the collar that she always wore on her. Closing her eyes, took a deep breath. The air of the forest mixed with the smell of cooking meat in a strange mix, but she found herself liking it. And another fact that made her feel a bit more relaxed was that she was alone. Not that she didn't like the company of others, but she liked it anyways.

However, the sound of steps warned her of another canine passing by. Her eyes shot open as she straightened her torso. Looking around her, she made sure that the stranger wasn't anywhere beside her. Perhaps the smell of food had attracted somebody. Grasping the knife tightly on her right hand, she moved towards the source of the steps, getting each time farther from the fire. Her posture was cautious. Who knew who could it be? The image of a greyish pelt and dark green eyes came to her mind. Yes, it could be Bastion attracted by the food. Nearing the source of the sound, a foreign smell entered her nostrils. It wasn't Bastion, but somebody else. Noticeably relaxing, the fiery hued female decided to make herself present. "Who's there?" Lowering her right arm, she straightened and came out of her hideout to face the stranger.

'Who's there?' a voice called from behind the mottled girl. She turned around slowly, brushing her fringe back to search for the unfamiliar voice. 'Hello?' she called softly. Her hands gripped onto the strap of her bag, she didn't recognise the voice, which was odd seeing as she had tried her hardest to familiarise herself with all of the Salsolian's. It didn't really matter much however, she would just make aquanitences now. The smell of food hit her suddenly, but she wasn't hungry she had ate a rabbit she had trapped that morning and it was enough to keep Odessa going for most of the day. She would try her traps again before she slept.

Her eyebrows knitted together softly as she noticed the burning woman's blood stained digits. 'Hope that's rabbit blood...', or more, she hoped it wasn't. There were few oppertunities to treat any injuries and without any injuries to treat her co-rank was looking more and more distant. She hadn't stopped to think about how unkind it was to wish injuries came along more often, but right now improving her status within her home pack was more important. 'I'm Odessa'[b] she said softly, [b]'Odessa D'Angelo'

279w :: Eeek! sorry for the delay!! D:

Tan ears rose at the sound of the stranger's voice, processing the information even before than her eyes did. Her voice was soft and delicate, as well as her name. Odessa. And by her looks, she was also soft and delicate. It actually took her breath away momentarily. This woman had the looks of an actual flower, not her. "Eet ees ra-rabbeet blood. Don't worry." She assured, looking at her hands and realizing that she hadn't cleaned them off. For a second she focused her attention on the digits, licking the blood off until the red blended with her own coloration, before speaking again. "I am Xochime." She introduced herself briefly, not finding a real use to her surname than to tell who was her family, which she found pointless. Who cared about who was her sister?

The aroma of cooked meat reminded her of her previous labour, and why had she been doing it. "Perhaps you are hungry?" She offered with a heavily accented voice. Her shy tone gave Odessa the opportunity to reject it if she desired, but she secretly hoped that she didn't. She needed somebody to test her cooking skills with, for she did not trust her own tastes, much wider and almost not picky. She would eat anything did she need to. But Odessa looked like she had a finer taste, so she would be a good candidate to see how much had her cooking abilities had improved or worsened through time.

Turning around, she un-walked her way back to the small fire that she had made, glancing over her shoulder a couple of times to make sure that the other was following her.

Odessa nodded to herself as the reply came that it was only rabbit blood. Which was a comfort. While she wanted injuries to treat, she guessed a wound with the amount of blood was way beyond her skills. And possibly more than she could stomach. 'Good'. Xochime gave her name, but without a hint of her family name, the mottled girl guessed she was an Eternian from the strange title though.

The tan hued girl gave her an offer of food, and while she wasn't really hungry she'd never been decent at turning down an offer without feeling awkward and rude. She nodded polietly, her actions full of respect and gratitude. Besides a small portion of rabbit wouldn't hurt and it would give her more time to look around without having to hunt like she did every night. And having a meal cooked here was way, way better than having to cook it inside the horrid little communal areas. She swore she'd get her own home soon enough, and she'd never had to live in that rotten place ever again.

The mottled girl sat down calmly a metre or so away from Xochime, sliding down on top of her legs then crossing them in front of her as she waited. 'I hope I'm not stealing your lunch away from you', she said with a nervous chuckle.

360w :: OOC here!

The blood had already dried between her fingers, making them feel sticky and pulling strands of fur as she moved them. She ignored that, and hurried to check on the stew. Its smell filled her nostrils, and she could almost feel it pulling it downwards. Her mouth watered, but first she turned around to see the woman chuckle beside her. Xochime's face wasn't very expressive, but she displayed her like for that lignt chuckle by swaying her tail lightly. "Of course you ahr not. Aye just wanted to see how good eet is." Trying not to burn herself, she took out the meat and put it on a small piece of wood, allowing it to cool off. "Aye want to cook somethin' for the Dinner." She announced, mentioning the meeting to which all Salsolians attended. The last time she had not brought anything, and this time she did not want to make it wrong. "Want sum?" She offered, pointing at the cooling meat. It actually smelled good, not that the steam rising from it carried a stronger smell.

At the beginning, Xochime had only wanted to have Odessa's opinion, but now she was truly curious about the woman. Only once had she heard the title d'Angelo before. Plus, she did not recall seeing her before. Scarlet scruited her black and white pelt, following her movements carefully, until a white spot caught her attention. It was a small flower, white in color, that contrasted against her dark-colored hair. This made Odessa look more feminine than she already was, and the sight caused a twinge of jealousy root inside the coyote's chest. How could she look so beautiful? Why couldn't she be like her? And why did she want to be beautiful? The questions were left unanswered, quickly replaced by hunger. Xochime's eyes casted downwards, towards the food, as she picked up one piece and bit it. Not bad at all. She turned towards the orange-eyed woman, swallowing her mouthful and trying to make some conversation. "I hav never seen ya before." She pointed out, eager to listen to her soft voice again rather than to know the answer to her question.

OOC here.

Word Count → 000

She took a small amount of meat gingerly, beginning to chew on it slowly, her eyes caressing the view. 'It's good' she noted, finishing her mouthful and turning back to give the girl her full attention. She would know about good taste, after all she was a regular cook. Usually every night she cooked herself up a large meal before bed and it was a habit that had refined the very skill. It smelt nice too, not too smoky. Countless times she had ended up with charred food as she built her knowledge of cooking, and while sometimes she had prefered the charred taste, depending on the meat, she decided that well done would always suite better that burnt.

'I'm surprised' she said, calmly, returning her view from the natural world surrounding her. 'Larkspur is my uncle. My mother brought me here some time ago, Wisteria'. Perhaps she had kept herself more hidden in her work than she first thought. She shrugged mentally, because all in all it didn't really matter. 'I've probably been hiding myself with my work' she revealed casually, becase it was irrelevent.
