Shawchert was worse for wear, now that Orin had left for her mission, he was left in charge of the girls, and it took most of it out of him, keeping them in line and out of trouble, fed, and happy, on top of that he was patrolling the area as often as possible, and making sure he had some time to work on the children's new tree house. He also needed to commit a lot of time to the ferret, which he still hadn't named yet. He was no good at naming things, which was why he was so glad Orin had named their children. She had the gist of it.

Though she had been gone for three days, it felt like longer and he wished he was there by her side at that moment, but she had reasoned him out. Someone needed to be in the pack protecting them, and her girls. He was glad she trusted him with them now, and he made sure that they wouldn't get hurt. He was their protector now, and he knew he could easily fend off anyone that came in the packlands, un wanted, or he'd die trying.

It was after his patrol and he found he had a little extra time, he wasn't sure what to do so he wandered off to the village, the little ferret on his shoulder looking around her in every direction. Shawchert was deep in thought, thinking about Orin, and what he wanted to do. He had decided to do it before she left, but before he could ask she was gone, but thinking it was for the best, he thought he would wait it out and ask her after, hopefully if there was an after. He worried for her as she was going to the packs and he wasn't sure how hostile any of them were anymore. He had met someone from AniWaya before and they had seemed nice, but now.... well now they were picking on other packs apparently.
