for Jaz or Anann or both... Alder misses her lol. And he's not alone, here & here is who hes bringing with him along with his normal horse Hawthorn.

The path was narrow, and the three horses walked slowly and carefully. One single line, the darkest, the bay and the painted. Alder looked up, straightening his back and rolling his shoulders. The ride had been long, but his thick core and muscular legs were toned for such a trip. The two had a duo of followers, which was odd, and he looked back at the two often to make sure their packs were straight and that they were not fatigued. The Marshal was confident in his own stallion, Hawthorn was trained daily, and though he had met Alder with a bit of a rounded shape the horse had toned out nicely right along side his friend and rider. The masked wolf headed north, as he had since before the dawning of the Sun.

Casa di Cavalieri was a new frontier for the male. And Alder had almost headed towards his mother's pack out of habit when he started through the familiar trails of the Court, but the Sun told him where north was, and instinct and scent told him that he was nearing the borders. Though not as timid as he had once been in his short lifetime when the quartet met the invisible and fresh boundary he faulted the line firmly.

Tupelo whinnied, complaining as she always did. The white and tan mare was at the back of the line for a reason. Her belly was extended, heavy with a foal that still had many months before it's birth, and so she was slower. Alder swung his leg across the back of the shire and went to the ground. Black hands went to the tethers that connected them all and moved the mare and the brown stallion to the shade of a near by tree. He ran his hands over the belly of the mare, remembering the words his mentor had once told him. Her tone was steady as ever, and he hoped that the golden wolfess was well in these new lands. Beside the ebony warrior he had met during the raid of AniWaya he was sure she was.

Then, with his white blazed friend standing towards the scent of a new pack Alder rose his black tipped nose and closed masked eyes that matched the sky. He called, deep and low at first as his voice heightened and peaked with a natural canid accent. It called for authority, and all in friendship.

The stone and concrete construction of the Courthouse was proving to be rather cold and unforgiving. The sturdy building blocked even the strongest of gusts, but for a few broken windows. With their ever thickening pelts it was bearable, and almost cozy within the courthouse walls if only if it wasn’t for the floors being so damned cold. They had yet to get the fire places ready for use. Though the building was not made of wood, it was still probably not the best to light their chimneys aflame because of a few swallows nests.

Anann had been searching through an small settlement south of Kingsbury. She was looking for fabrics, about the only thing the woman scavenged for from the human remains aside from her beloved whiskey. Rugs, blankets or anything really that would take some of the bite out of the cold floors in the mornings that were growing only colder with each passing day. She had rolled up what little she had found and set it out in front of the houses. Anann headed back towards Kingsbury to fetch the Appy mare to carry her findings back when the call cut through the brisk air. A broad smile on her face she quickly turned right back around and headed off at run towards borders.

Rem was the first to arrive as the stallion was often lingering along the borders and making his own patrols and explorations of the terrain. He knickered excitedly as he approached, his head bobbing a bit as grew closure to the Marshall, greeting the masked wolf with the face sniff that stallion reserved only for those that had earned his trust. Once he felt Alder properly greeted, Rem greeted the horses that had brought a long, knickering softly and sniffing noses.

It was a few minutes yet, before Anann arrived. ”Alder, it is good to see you!” A broad smile on her face as she jogged up. She had noticed the abundance of horses that he had brought with him, "What's with all this?" She asked with a slightly teasing tone, her eye on the horses before she gave him a little grin. It was mighty generous of Alder, the young man was more than welcome here without the need to bring gifts. It even appeared that the mare was with foal. Where the Cour des Miracles stables getting too full?

Laaattteeeee... :|

It had been a difficult past few days for the alpha. He had managed to fight of a bear from potentially killed a young lady but his mind was not in a happy place. There had been much to do as Casa di Cavalieri was lacking in a medic. He had managed to find one by luck shortly after the attack and was now using the same techniques Amata had used when he was bed ridden from a bear wound on the girl. It would take her some time to heal up but the alpha was more than happy to practice his medical knowledge, the little he had.

Sitting out under a tree for a moment the four year old stared out at the village. Perking his ears up he barley caught the last winds of a howl from the boarders. Rising to his feet the Knight stretched into the air before lazily making his way out of the fort, picking up speed as he went. By the time young Alder came into sight Anann had already arrived and was chatting. The horses caught the alpha’s attention causing his happy smile to turn more forced, “What do you have here?” He asked, hesitant to ask. The last thing he wanted was more horses to take care of, though they were working like a miracle with keeping the grass short. Remembering his manners he nodded a small bow in greeting as an after thought, his eyes darting between the young man and the horses.

sorry for the delay!

Once he gave he call his blue eyes looked to the dark horse. A hand went to the white blaze that ran down his face, petting him as he tried to gain a bit of confidence. He wondered if he would have to wait long, having little idea of the size of the pack's territory. Such things were hard to know from a first visit, and the male did not think he would be venturing in too far inward to find out.

When he was getting too nervous, thoughts that no one would be coming to greet him passing through his mind, there was a sound. It was not who he thought would greet him, but the wolf walked up to meet Rem with a smile just as broad as Alder gave his wolfess companion. She had ran, her breath showed it, and Alder waved first and then spoke. It's good to see you too. He spoke, suddenly bashful as always. He looked over to the horses when she spoke of them. Yet before he could answer the tall dark wolf had appeared.

Alder to sense the unease, sensitive towards the energy that vibrated through the air. His assumed Jazper had thought he was a stranger looking for the alphas of the pack, ready to challenge them. Alder knew he was harmless, and presented what he thought as good tidings in the hopes of easing the questions. Gifts, He spoke, looking at Anann. He knew she would understand the usefulness of two trained horses of Cour des Miracles. from the Court. He extended a hand to the two horses that lazed in the shade. How are things here? He asked, eyes moving from one alpha to the other. His hesitation was written in his expressive face, ears rotating backwards slowly.

Preparing Kingsbury for to quickly encroaching winter had kept Anann busy. Her new duties easily distracted her the longing she felt for the familiar faces of the Court. With Alder standing in front of her, her mind was quick to question how the others were fairing. Questions that she could get to in time. She was sure the Court was doing just fine without her, though that didn’t make her miss her friends any less.

Jazper wasn’t far behind it seemed. Showing up before Alder had an opportunity to explain he surplus of companions for the trip. Gifts? Mighty generous gift. Are you sure you can spare them? Anann asked honestly, giving Alder a serious look as she walked over to take a look at the horses he had brought, approaching them with an open palm offered for sniffing. The extra muscle would certainly be useful and Casa did not yet have any communal horses for the use of members. No doubt both would be useful for teach others to ride as well, given the stock that Court kept and if she was remember the temperament of these to correctly.

Running a golden hand down the leg of the bay stallion, she nudged him to left his foot. Things have been pretty good. How are things back home? She said as she gently patted the horses hoof with the heel of her hand, before letting go. Simply testing the how the horse reacted to her handling. He was rather docile, as expected. I hope the cabin is suiting you well. Those four log walls and it’s thatched roof had been one of the hardest things to leave behind, but it helped to know that her once home wouldn’t be going to waste.

It was strange to see the boy, well young man, at his boarders. It was clear that he had grown close to Anann after he left Crimson Dreams. Relaxing his posture the best he could Jazper moved beside Anann, his large stature making the large female seem slightly smaller. The two leaders where quite the sight when seen together; It was doubtful that anyone who knew the two would question their ability, be it individually or as a single force. His golden eyes shifted to look back to Alder, his attention much too occupied on the horses. Anann would know what to do with them as he was practically useless when it came to the beasts. Trying hard to be as thankful as possible at the gift he gave a nod of his head, “That’s very generous of you. They will be well taken care of.”

He allowed Anann to talk first, clearly knowing Alder better than himself. It was an awkward situation for the alpha who normally was quite outspoken and curious when talking to others, but in this case he took the back seat, waiting for the golden lady beside him. She inquired about a cabin and Jazper couldn’t help but wonder if she had left the raccoon her old cabin. Adding to Anann’s answer he spoke up, “Just working on cleaning out rooms really. Going to have a lot of reconstruction in the spring.” He hoped by then they would have enough members that the work would not be too difficult. It was amazing to think how much they had completed with small numbers already.

Smile Alder may start crushing on Jazper lol... he's so naive!

Alder had thought hard on a gift for the new pack. It had been an idea brought to him by a loneliness, and from Anann's absence in the stables. He knew that he did not need an excuse to go and visit, but he had wanted to represent the Court and give a gesture. It was a big step for the young male, to stand before two alphas and give them something in the name of his pack. He was glad that Jazper had come, for he made the meeting more then just two friends reuniting. It was official. Even if the tawny boy was a bit uneasy beside the large dark man.

Blue eyes watched Anann, looking for her support in this presentation. She questioned him, and Alder nodded. Yes, of course. He said eagerly with a nod of his head. The stables were practically full, and he had always hoped to bring new stock and begin his training on breaking wild horses as well as starting a breeding program within the Court. These were good horses, Alder would never give away unwanted blood to dirty another's pool. They had the thick legs that he sought after in a working breed, and the broad shoulders to carry large luperci. But, by looks and the scratchy notes of a former marshal the stallion had already fathered a few good horses and the mare was of another long line. it was time to break them, and bring in fresh blood.

The ebony man spoke, and his eyes turned to him. Alder stood a little straighter when the alpha spoke, though Alder didn't notice it himself. Jazper would command well, and just from his voice demand the best out of the soldiers that he would create under the Cavalieri banner. Alder only smiled. His voice seemed timid around him, and hid till Anann replied.

He listened as they spoke of the progress of the pack. There were many questions that Alder held, but he kept them still for the time. The tall masked wolf nodded, I have never scouted these lands before. I hope they are plentiful. Does that pack have a center? Like the Manor or Hotel? He wondered innocently.

It is the perfect size for me, I am very grateful for it. Haven's home is full of growing adolescents. Alder replied when Anann asked him about the cabin. It was another given step for the boy to begin to grow up. Finally.

Anyone can feel free to pp them further into the pack lands, yes? And soo sorry for the wait :x/ +#00

The painted mare was calm as ever as Anann ran a hand along the curve of her rotund belly. Only turning her head to look at the she-wolf and give her yet another sniff. It had been obvious from first glance the mare was with foal. There was a certain sag to plumpness that told of more than just an ample diet. There were still many moons yet to her term and it would likely be spring before she would foal.

Anann gave the bay stud a pat on the neck. Indeed, we do. I reckon we could give a bit of a tour. If you’ve got the time, that is? Anann hoped that her young, masked friend was in no hurry to be off and she would certainly enjoy the opportunity to show him around. Not to mention that she had missed him. While Dixie and Wayne had proven to be quite helpful and skilled with the horses, it was still not the same as the gentle and calm presence that Alder had. Wayne was close, but Dixie almost at the other end of the spectrum at times. Tiny, bouncy and full of energy.

Good. I’m glad it’s working out. It would have been a shame for it to remain empty. It had been hard to leave the cabin behind. There had been so many fond memories made within and around those walls. Even during its construction. It’s a good home. For Anann it had been a place of happiness and love, and she hoped that in time Alder would find the same.

How much herp could a Melissa Derp? A lot. :|

Gifts were not a particularly rare thing between packs, as he was sure most packs wished to be on good terms with the others. It was certainly better to know and be friendly with the other leaders than to have any of them against you. One small conflict could lead to the loss of lives, as the Aniwayan war clearly demonstrated. It was Jazper’s full intention that between himself and the golden lady all of the packs would be visited and given a token from Casa di Cavalieri in order to make sure that they were to start off on the right paw. It would be a shame to tick off a neighbor before they even got settled in.

The fact that the Court could spare two horses, a pregnant female at that, spread some light for the warrior. Clearly Anann had been part of a pack full of horses and now it seemed natural for her to fill Casa with just as many. Meanwhile Jazper did not see the point in having more than a few strong horses and maybe one mare for breeding. All that horses were good for was carrying things and breeding for trades.

He waited for Anann to take the lead on the conversation, as he wasn’t really sure what to do in this situation. Sure enough she offered to show the younger boy around the lands, and Jazper nodded in agreement, following the two closely into the pack lands. “All of the pack members live within an old human Fort, Fort Kingsbury, which contains a small village. Right now we are all living in the courthouse, which was the most in tact building, until Spring comes and members can fix up their houses of choice. “ The continued to walk further into the lands and the large coal Alpha glanced over at the others signaling that he was done speaking.
