Time Heals All Wounds

Haha I totally forgot to do this earlier, sorry

This drizzle was incessant, it had turned the once colorful world of summer into the dreary gray of autumn. Even the reds and oranges were beginning to fade, leaving Nova Scotia like a sepia photo. It was depressing on all accounts; too cold to wander outside, to melancholy to stay inside; it set some out to wander. And wander the dark Lykoi male did, his mood as foul as the weather. The hood of his hole ridden cloak was pulled up nearly over his eyes, Yegua, his mare was draped in a soggy blanket and the two of them, like one slumped creature, walked along the rocky shoreline, listening to the dull hiss of the rain hitting the incoming tide.

Yegua muttered in protest, she wanted to be back in the warm stables with her filly, but Helotes pressed her on, she needed to exercise and she had to be ever ready for him to ride her. He tried to placate her with a scratch to her neck, which did seem to calm her. Helotes was quite attached to her now, though he had only had her for about a month now. He promised her inwardly to give her a good brushing and rub down when they returned.

Helotes was walking along the northern shoreline just as he had a month ago, but he would not make the same mistake this time. Now when the river came into his vision he stopped, watching as it flowed out of Salsola territory. A moon’s turn ago he had foolishly crossed this water border and had been severely punished for it. He scowled, looking across the barrier, wishing that that little bitch would show herself again so he could teach her a lesson and prove that he wasn’t as weak as he had seemed last time they met. It was too bad that Inferni and Salsola had a good relationship, otherwise Helotes would have been more than glad to have slit the throats of all those who associated themselves with The Family.

Be warned, weird post is weird. But thanks for starting this for us! Smile

In all honesty it was a rather dreadful day, but Clover hardly let the chill zap her positive energy. Though her largely coyote influenced heritage meant she was often cold in the harsh winter months in Nova Scotia, the temperature seemed to be a thought left on the back burner. Clover hardly even noticed the dampness of her denim shorts as the drizzle relentlessly continued on. In truth, the Lykoi girl was very much in her head today, mulling over thoughts of Salsola, her own history, and how these two had come to merge together. It was hard to make sense of everything, but Clover had come to the realization that it was best just to follow her heart. In the end, her heart had yet to truly fail her. After all, it was her heart’s desire that led her to Salsola in the first place. Why not trust its intuition?

It hadn’t been more than a week since the last time the girl had gone beyond the borders of the thistle kingdom. She found it was easy to focus on her thoughts when she was not present amongst her newfound Family – didn’t have to worry about the duties expected of her, and could simply sit as a part of Mother Earth’s environment. She felt free here in a way that was hardly matched elsewhere; not that Salsola necessarily made Clover feel caged - when removed from the hierarchy of any pack or clan, Clover was simply just another of Mother Earth’s creatures. The social aspects of her world didn’t come into play. Everything was so simple, so black and white. It was no wonder that she felt truly at peace with herself out here.

Her subtle excursion had brought her along the shore, just beyond where the river drew a border to the Family’s kingdom. Tucked between her teeth was a smoldering joint, which she sucked at willy-nilly. Daisy had remained in the stables, protesting at the idea of wandering out in this dreary weather, and so Clover had let her stay. Though her steed was there to serve her, Clover respected the mare’s wishes. After all, it wasn’t too far of a walk to accomplish alone. Her halo of golden waves had become rather saturated, losing its usual volume but still retaining the waves her King’s eyes so often admired. If she were smart, she’d return to the dry and warm security of the Ruins less she catch a cold. But for now, the girl remained where she was, her eyes on the shore ahead of her while her mind drifted off like the smoke from her cannabis.

OOC

Helotes’ eyes were drawn out towards the see, which was gray and covered in mist. The sound of waves hitting the shore was somewhat hypnotizing and Helotes felt as the hatred and anger he had felt moments ago seemed to slip away from his body. He took a deep breath and sighed, releasing his breath into the air like a cloud in front of him. Perhaps he should turn back, Yegua was sure to become a lot more bitchy soon. With a slight nudge of his heel he turned her to head back towards Inferni.

The smell hit him first; marijuana, and his stomach immediately growled in the conditioned response of hunger. Looking around him, he noticed movement, and with a click of his tongue urged Yegua forward, but slowly. Soon the figure came into view and Helotes cocked his head in curiosity; it was a beautiful coyote woman, with long blonde hair that was now framing her features like dripping golden strings. She was smoking a blunt and seemed to be deep in thought and she was on the Salsola side of the river. She must be a member he decided, but what a lovely member.

Dismounting, Helotes walked closer to her, but she was still off in her own little world, he cleared his throat, Hello there! He called out and raised a hand. He hoped that this encounter would go better than the last one he had experienced here.
