All welcome! Set at the Queen of Piety Cemetery ^^ aaaand she’ in lupus form :o

Éloise’s paws were aching in the cold, foggy morning. Her body was set on finding food and food only. She followed one dead trail after another as she lurked through the dead city. Despite its eeriness, Él was becoming quite fond of her new home. Her interactions with creatures had been few and far between but the old lady didn’t really mind. She hadn’t come here to make any friends, so she was glad that no one had gone out of their way to bother her.

Her stomach grumbled as she entered an overgrown mess of a place. The rest of the city was concrete and glass but this place was unlike anything she had ever seen. Él looked around, sniffing things that caught her interest. There were many concrete slabs that stuck out from the ground; lots of them were broken and many were covered in shrubbery. Curious, the girl trekked in further. She had learned to read way back when, but most of that knowledge had left her. She knew there were things written on the slabs, but could hardly decipher them. Born and died stuck out to her; her icy eyes furrowed in confusion. Were dead humans buried here?

The idea made her cringe. It was unsettling to the woman to be just a few feet above someone in eternal sleep. Still, she followed the weathered path further into the concrete labyrinth.

Hey, hope you don't mind Itachi joining! He's in his lupus form as well!

The quiet feet of the blonde moved from cracked concrete to overgrown grass and weed entangled on an uneven ground. He didn’t know much of the glory days of humanity, and didn’t bother much with imagining this scenery differently. This was what surrounded him at the present, and he’d adjusted to that. Black wings thrust against invisible currents of air far above, and while he failed to listen in on the sound of feather against sharp November air, keen ears would occasionally catch a raspy cry. It would seem he was alone, but he wasn’t.

It was unusual for him to move about in such a plain form and without the normally obligatory baggage in the shape of soft cloth and blank steel, but he cared little to drag along earthly possessions when there was no dedicated mission. Too seldom did he wander merely to feel the wonder of muscles working under the thickened winter fur of bleach and pale sand. Gold had regressed to give its wealth to shades closer to ivory, but it was the coat’s additional warmth that mattered now as the temperatures steadily sunk. Had the silver songbird moved on to warmer climates this time?

Pale paws followed the already existing path into the graveyard, and sensitive ears sat proudly on top of his head in pursuit of sound from the individual before him. He had yet to catch a glimpse of the female whose scent soundlessly acknowledged her presence. Itachi was a lonesome creature, but there were always exceptions to the loose rules he assigned to himself, and he supposed he was curious. The way of Salsola could be tiresome in the length, and he did not embrace paranoia as many of his pack mates.

A wild Libri appears!

Charcoal nose sniffed through the area, pausing at a crooked lamp post to get her bearings. Various broken concrete trails cut through the stones and she wasn’t sure which way she wanted to go. The trail split in half and then in half again farther down the road. With a flick of her tail, she continued to sluggishly walk down the path. A twig snapped and caught her attention; her ear twitched behind her body but she continued on.

She couldn’t tell if she felt someone near her or if it was just her mind playing tricks on her. She hadn’t seen another canine in days. Ashen paws kept her pace quickened as she made her way down the path until azure eyes met crimson. She halted momentarily and almost gasped in surprise but kept her mouth shut. He didn’t look too alarming but she could never be too sure. The pale man was still quite far from her; his eyes were wild and they made her uncomfortable. Not knowing what to say, the woman looked back at her paws and slowly continued on.

Wild Libri uses flaming axes!

Hues of seductive, blushed sunsets occasionally squinted off to the passing surroundings. Perhaps his disinterest was feigned after all. The Lykoi’s pace slowed until he reached a complete halt. Face turned to a nearby stone, partly hidden away by growth far beyond control. The banished Prince’s knowledge of the humans and their ways was minimal at best, though he did understand the significance of the standing stones. But what use was there to remember the dead. The dead should be left and forgotten forever. No tomb had been raised for his grandfather, so how and why had he resurfaced? Perhaps a final resting place was what was missing. Perhaps the tombstones served as prison for deceased souls.

But his focus was forced to return, for the invisible woman had materialized on the path before him, peering at her stalker only momentarily before she looked down and continued to walk. Pale audits turned to lean against tinted gold as the man made a shallow effort to interpret what expression might have been worn her distant eyes. The hybrid seldom reached out for the world beyond his own, but there were no rules that could not be broken. Perhaps he was intrigued by the hard fact that she had merely offered him a glance before moving on. The stereotype canine he had conjured within his mind did not match this dismissive behaviour.

Without a word, he continued to follow her, his pace outmatching hers, though only slightly. Old ladies shouldn’t have to walk home all on their own in a place like this. Something bad could happen.

Sorry for the delay libri! If this isn’t okay, let me know and I’ll fix it. And Éloise is going in a mausoleum haha ^^
sosu: 230

He was behind her now, and catching up quickly. Éloise knew she should say something, something to get him away from her, but the energy to do so just couldn’t be found. Her paws quickened with his own, mostly because she had no idea what she would want to say to him if he caught up with her. But of course he would, he was far more agile and he was definitely a lot more youthful and strong. She snorted in irritation as she continued to hear his steps behind her and feel his blood colored eyes on her. He was creepy, but oddly enough she didn’t seem to care at the moment.

A large … house, or something, appeared in front of her eventually, though it was in ruins. It was half broken but the most important part was that its insides were still untouched. Curious, the older woman made her way over to it. It was very confusing and she didn’t really have any idea what the purpose of this building was, though the stained glass was pretty. The sun shone through it and poured bright hues onto the floor and her ashy coat. Without turning around to see if he had followed her, Él simply asked “What do you think this is?” to the wind, Caribbean blue eyes focused on the small altar before her.

Sorry for stupid wait and stupid post <3 ;_;

Had she stopped and waited, he most likely would have moved past her and been on his way. But when she eventually did stop in her tracks, it was before an old, strange building very different to the usual sightings in towns and more crowded cities. Itachi, too, stopped because the woman had spoken to him, offered a simple question that he couldn’t successfully answer. Although he didn’t wish to guess about her age, it would be natural for him to guess that she should be the one with answers. But he didn’t know if it was he that she was speaking to, or it was a thought simply breathed out loud by a thoughtful mind.

Sunset eyes did focus on the strange building she was bedazzled by, but he had never been especially interested in the abandoned kingdom of a long-lost species. None had been around to arouse his curiosity either, and he was still on his own. He didn’t doubt that a certain fleeting creature could have found beauty and intrigue with this construction. But she wasn’t here. Having no answer and no proof that she acknowledged his presence, the Lykoi remained quiet unresponsive to her voice. He didn’t know the significance of this place, though if he had, he could have guessed the purpose of the structure before the two.
