Jacinto was surprised to find that he had woken up in the Mansion. Just a day prior the sorrel hybrid had talked to Myrika and Ezekiel about finding Helotes and making Inferni his permanent home. So now here Jacinto was: sleeping inside the manor a new resident of the coyote pack. Ezekiel's question still ran through his mind. Of course he would fight for his family and all of Inferni on call. A quiet yawn escaped the man's maw as he pulled on the baggy pants and leather vest. Today Jacinto thought it would be great to try to locate a horse that he could use sometime for work. He had noticed how grand the Mansion was; with skilled carpenters it still looked very good after who knew how many years. The masculine made sure to take the old acoustic guitar that he treasured with him, if Jacinto failed to find a horse then he could play it for a while. He whistled as he exited the mansion, clearly in a pleasant mood. Where was his brother? So much things needed to be told to him. About his mother and Illusion.

Helotes' scent was close and rather fresh, it went to the place the horses were tethered safely so they wouldn't wander about. Jacinto knew that to improve his rank he must work. Tan hands set to work at once, making sure that the creatures had enough water to stay strong. The winter chilly weather was coming fast, the coyote hybrid could feel it. The snow would be very soon. Joining Inferni was a good idea, there were many relatives, Lykoi or not they were family. Jacinto respected the leaders for what they did. They kept the pack in order and kept everyone strong. Someday the call of war would be upon them, but Inferni would be prepared. No one would bring them down. After the couple of chores were done, he sat down on a large rock. So much to think about and do. Jacinto didn't play his guitar just yet. The man looked at his new surroundings, so different than camping around the borders. His mind was on many things, where was Columbine and Illusion? Would they also find Inferni as he had? What if Columbine was already in the packlands? Jacinto had a slight distrust in his eldest brother after he had been attacked, it was so unexpected that he didnt know how stable Columbine really was. Orange eyes closed as the world carried on, as other creatures and people continued on with their own lives.

I’m backdating this to the 24th for my own timeline. Hover over Spanish for translation

Helotes had been riding Yegua today, but she was being extremely fussy so before long the Lykoi found himself turning her around to head back to the stables. She nearly skipped the whole way there and Helotes grumbled, speaking angry Spanish words to her. Soon though the stables came into sight and Helotes noticed a figure sitting on a nearby rock with a guitar. He slowed, the guitar catching his attention, and as he neared he couldn’t believe his eyes. It was Jacinto! His brother!

Helotes nearly fell of Yegua who whinnied at him and trotted off to the stables as soon as she was free of his weight. He ran towards Jacinto, nearly tripping over himself as he went and scooped up the smaller man in his arms, giving him a crushing hug. He couldn’t believe it! It had been months since he had seen his younger brother. ¿Es realmente mi hermano delante de mí? ¿Dónde está nuestra madre? ¿Dónde está Ilusion y Colombina están aquí también?

Helotes was beside himself as he looked his brother over. He looked a little worse for wear, and seemed to be injured. Helotes gave him a concerned look, ¿Qué pasó? Suddenly worry really set over him. Jacinto must have just arrived, for Helotes had heard nothing of it, and if this was the truth where was the rest of his family? They surely would continue to stick together until they were settled in. Helotes had a bad feeling.

Yeah It's okay. I didn't know when to backdate or foredate it...I am having trouble with the translations but that's fine, I just quoted the post and it was fine. My phone won't let me view it. Sorry for the length, this is really bad. I have to catch up on a few posts and my mind is just blank.

Fiery eyes flew open as the male was lifted into the air. As soon as he realized who it was. It was his brother Helotes! Joyous laughter followed and the smaller hybrid's eyes sparkled with joy. As he was set back down to the earth, the male looked his older brother over. It really was him! "It's me brother, it's been such a long time!" Jacinto couldn't help but smile, it really had been so long. A small frown crossed the chocolate male's palette as Helotes asked him where everyone was. A hand came up to scratch the end of his orange-striped muzzle in recollection. "Well...I think that Illusion chased Columbine off. He attacked me." The man looked to the bushes to see if anyone else was nearby. "Ma died. She was too sick." Jacinto looked away for a second, he had tried his absolute hardest to keep her alive and failed in the end. "I can't believe it's really you!" Had Helotes been so tall? Even though Jacinto had always been smaller than most, separation had caused him to not remember as much. Eyes glanced to the horse that his brother had seemed to have ridden in on. Someday he hopefully would have his own. Illusion had one, it couldn't be too hard to claim one for yourself.

"So. How have you been?" Other than his few injuries, Jacinto was fine. He would be okay for a long time. This moment was so special. Finally reunited with his brother. The coyote hybrid respected Helotes, he had never been aggressive towards him, and seemed to have good things happening in his own life. A broad smile came across the masculine's face, so far he had found Helotes. Soon enough all of the family would be together. "I did miss you, it was a long time." His tail waved at his words, missing his family was hard. His father being so detached and his mother dying, it was even hard on Illusion who he thought virtually unbreakable. All of them had suffered some hardship. Who knew where Columbine was, Illusion had tried to drive him off for a while. Safe in Inferni, Jacinto knew that nothing would harm him now. Not being able to keep the family brought heavy self-disappointment to the Lykoi.

OOC goes here.

Jacinto, as pleasant as ever, was more than glad to see Helotes. He didn’t answer him in Spanish, which somewhat puzzled the dark Lykoi, but he wrote it off as discomfort on the part of his brother; he probably would have refrained from their personal tongue had he just shown up at a new place as well. Neverminding this, Helotes stood beside his shorter brother, tail wagging enthusiastically, waiting to hear what Jacinto had to say; the words that followed made Helotes world crash down around him.

Jacinto spilled forth that Columbine had attacked them, and that their stubborn sister had gone after him, most likely in a fit of rage as she was prone to have. But then Jacinto spoke, like nails into Helotes heart that their mother Leticia had died; succumbed to sickness. Helotes stance frayed and he fell down to the rock that Jacinto had been sitting on, trembling. Dead? It could not be.

But Helotes had not even a chance to react before Jacinto continued, carrying on the conversation like there was not a care for the weight of what he just put on his brother. Helotes looked up at him wide eyed, confused and completely numb. Why was his brother, his brother that had received the most love from their mother, speaking of her death like it was nothing? Was he still in shock? Had the gravity of this truth not hit him yet? Helotes struggled with what to say when Jacinto asked how he had been fairing; his brother, either in shock or having decided to bury the pain of their mother’s death, was obviously putting up a front and Helotes could do nothing but do the same.

He gathered himself up, closing up his heart for now, and with thick words answered, I am well. I have missed you too, when did you arrive?

Jacinto had tried to be strong, But seeing the devasted look on his brother's face, the man almost broke down. He trembled and The same day that his mother had died, Jacinto didn't know what to think. After, it felt as if it never happened. But seeing Helotes who had always been strong look so shocked, he wanted to be near Leticia once again. Press close to her in a hug like he had when he was young. A tan hand reached up to rest itself on his older sibling's shoulder. "I miss her." It was hard to stand beside her, to have to hear her shallow breathing, even harder to hear it stop. Orange eyes looked to the soil beneath him, he hadn't a clue that Helotes would be this devastated. It was always Jacinto who received most of Leticia's love and caring. Of course she loved them all, but it was him the most. His voice came choked at the next words that slipped from his maw. "It's good to see you again. I just wish our family stayed together better."

A sigh came from the dark hybrid, he had tried and the family wasn't together like they were supposed to be. He did wonder how Helotes was feeling, probably not to good. I arrived around a week ago." He couldn't speak, somehow Jacinto wouldn't want to accept that his favorite person was deceased. It was too hard to bear. The man was quiet, thinking of his mother and how she had died. It wasn't pleasant, even though he had wanted to find his brother, his mother's death still hurt.

OOC goes here.

A week ago? Had he heard him correctly? Perhaps he meant that he had arrived in the territory a week ago because there was no way Helotes would have gone a week without having heard of his brother’s arrival at Inferni. Then again, he had been outside of the borders multiple times and somewhat distracted by Zana’s being attack, so he supposed it was not an impossibility. Still, Helotes suddenly felt guilty for not having been there when Jacinto had arrived; he had pictured something much more grandiose for the arrival of his family. But now, there didn’t even seem to be a family, with their mother dead and his other brother and sister God knows where.

Helotes gave Jacinto a weak smile before standing and putting his arm around his younger brother’s shoulders, I am glad you have come, I have missed you. I will have to introduce you to our grandmother soon. He grinned. Ah Kaena would be thrilled to meet another grandchild though he was certain she was beginning to lose track of all of them. But luckily for them, or unluckily, whichever the case, Helotes and his siblings were the product of Kaena’s first true mate, their grandfather Zulifer, who they knew little about, save his name. Kaena had been quite shocked when Helotes had first arrived, having been unaware that her son Kerberos had fathered pups.

Helotes sat himself back down on the rock and grabbed Jacinto’s guitar; it was an old them, having been given to him by their mother, but it was one of Jacinto’s prized possessions; he handed it to his dusty brother, Please, play for me would you? It’s been so long… His entire family had loved listening to Jacinto sing and play, he had talent that they others did not possess and this was not lost on them.
