A Kiss to Build a Dream On

[html]Silvano and Giselle are to reply first, and then after a second post from Anu this thread will be open for one reply from any players that wish their characters to be witnesses to their mateship. Playing as if everyone is already gathered.

Despite the bite of the wind, and that the air was crisp with the scent of snow lingered on the north blowing gusts. Despite the scars that remained, the pains and the memories that they all held... The Sun could be felt on her back, warming her shoulders and reminding her that no matter the changes of the world, the family that formed and made this their home here would prosper. Beside the lake and with Haven Manor standing in the distance, on a late fall day with dried leaves to line the aisle and a humble lapping of the lake's current to play a song of prelude, the Dreamers gathered.

Her heart felt filled to the brim, almost bursting at the seams. The elder Dreamer stood before the two wolves, the pair that would confess their intentions and proclaim their love in front of the witnesses that had gathered. All of them had come to support the couple, to show the love that they had for them as individuals and now as a union.

Eyes like water look over the crowd, a soft smile on her lips. Her chest was a flutter, the words that she wished to say bubbling beneath the surface. A breath was taken, the excitement flowing out with her exhale. And leaving her words to come with a steady and even tone. Silvano and Giselle. You wish to form a bond that will rest on a foundation of love, loyalty and honesty. Before your pack you stand, and make these promises... You may speak them now."

Anu looked to the male, eyes soft and smile encouraging.

Giselle had wanted this. She had wanted it to be something magical. He was afraid she would not think it was just like the fairy tale wedding she had envisioned. But he was trying hard to make her dream come true, and make this a day that the two of them could remember for a long time. They had met together before Anu, whom they had asked to guide the ceremony. As much as Silvano wanted to have his mother do it, he felt she needed a moment to be the watcher and take time to relax and enjoy. He wanted her to be proud of him, and be happy for him. Anu smiled at the two of them, and Silvano felt his heart hammering in his throat. He could feel the pack members gather, the ones who wanted to see the ceremony. It made him nervous. But he had nothing to fear from them; Giselle had accepted before and he had no worry that someone would come to steal her from him.

When everyone was gathered, Silvano faced Anu as she spoke, feeling his heart race and blood pulse in every limb. It was brief, but then her crystal eyes, warm and encouraging, lighted onto him. She encouraged him to speak, and he felt his nerves almost shatter. Silvano did not like public speaking much, but he would do his best. Swallowing lightly, he turned, and held onto Giselle's dainty white hands. They looked small and pale against his mottled ones. Dark fingers gently squeezed the white fingers as he smiled at Giselle. She looked pretty, there was no denying that.

He cleared his voice, emerald eyes stuck to her sapphire hues so he could focus his thoughts. All that quiet mumbling, quiet rehearsals flew out the window. "Gisele.," he began, risking a glance to the audience, "I knew from the moment you fell out of that apple tree with all the grace of a princess that I had to stay with you. Both to make sure you didn't fall out of a window, just in case, and because you are so special." Then, he nodded at her, wishing he could get down on his knees, but they had to stand tall together. "I promise to love you forever, be true to you forever, and to always protect you."

WC: 671. God, I'm so sorry for being late, guys x_x; Things have been crazy for me lately.

The days passed by were a swirl of emotions for the ivory princess, and that morning had been no different. Each sound seemed elevated, and any natural chorus through her open windows seemed to be just for her. As Giselle stirred, she arose with a jump, her heart beating fast in recognition of the day. "Oh Tux, today is the day! Isn't it just wonderful?" Powder blue eyes glanced down briefly at her sleeping friend, before rushing to greet the day and the new life ahead of her. Giselle had her dress prepared for months, altering pieces and adding new cloths that she could find in Halifax. The outfit was simple, and with a tune on her lips the white woman gathered all of her hair behind her head, pinned with satin ribbons and pale blue flowers to adorn her dark head of hair. Then, as flighty as a hummingbird, Giselle picked up her dress with the stoat swimming around her scurrying feet.

Happiness radiated from the female as she stepped out into the early morning sunlight, feeling as if she were walking on clouds as the earth rose up to meet her steps. Wisps of curly hair still hung to the sides of her face as she carried herself at a modest pace, as if afraid the ceremony would begin without her. She was thankful to Silvano for seeking Anu's assistance in their wedding, one dream after another coming true before the female's eyes. It was everything she could have hoped for, as she stepped onto the scene, her eyes shimmering like the surface of the frosting lake behind all in attendance. The mahogany haired female felt unprepared in those moments, though Giselle knew what she would be facing, but as her eyes settled upon the soft emerald gaze of her knight, the woman knew that no other could protect her heart as well as he.

As the ceremony began, the female's eyes settled upon Anu. It had occurred to the pale woman that she had never truly spoken with the elder Dreamer, and silently made a promise to do so in the next coming days. Her face remained soft, as if a veil lay there awaiting to be broken by tears, as Elle listened to Anu speak, hardly breathing as if she might miss the elder one's words. As the male, her true love, turned to Giselle and took her hands, the dark haired girl felt her emotions begin to peak. Her impossibly wide smile could only grow larger upon hearing Silvano's words, and chanced a small giggle upon his initial statement. That soon disappeared, however, when his next words rang as true as the love she felt for the tall mottled knight.

It took Giselle a few moments of silence after he finished to gather herself, though the tears began to form at the corners of her eyes, but the ivory female dared not break their link if they fell onto her cheeks. She needed not practice any words for true love, for they were something that the woman had lived by her entire life. For a moment, however, as she glanced out to the audience, she wished nothing more than for her papa to witness the unity of her heart with another. A gust of wind reassured her, however, and she closed her eyes and tilted her head upwards to let it blow through her. "Silvano," she began quietly, her eyes opening once again with a new clarity. "All of my life I've read about true love, and I had believed I knew what to look for. But you, my shining knight, have shown me what true love really is, and it isn't something found in books." Soft blue eyes swam in their depths, betraying her emotions as they began to fall like gentle rain. Small, dainty hands gaze the male's a gentle squeeze, never removing her gaze from his. "Now we can write our own enchanting tale together. I love you, my prince, now and forever."

[html]The pack is free to post from here, hope many of you will join Smile

The words were spoke from the heart, the elder Dreamer could see that clearly. Silvano's were strong, his masculine voice showing the pillars that will support their relationship. Then Giselle's light words reminded them that love was fragile, and yet heartwarming and beautiful. She nodded when all they were left with was the stillness of the gathered family, her smile widening. May you keep these promises, and stay true to each other. She looked to the crowd, her heart over joyed by the union that their words and the love they shared created. She let her nose tip towards the sky, soft voice calling lightly in a primal sign of rejoice.

The male had almost been late to the summonings. He had been examining a potential den near the lake when he had gained wind of the gathering. It had been a swift trip on lithe paws that had brought him to the party right at the last moment. He sat along the edge of the pack, the only members he knew oddly enough were the leaders. His brilliant eyes watched the story unfold before him as he would bare witness to the mateship of these two figures. His heart was torn though, for this was unlike any mateship ritual he had witnessed before and the primitive primal beast wasn't sure if he was ready for this sort of thing.

He turned his eyes back to the mated two though as he let a smile lull on his lips. He wouldn't spoil their day because of turmoil in his own heart. He had left home because he wasn't sure if he believed in their own beliefs anymore but yet faced with tradition that was different from what he knew he found himself in a fork in the road, not sure which turn to take.

Just the same though, when Anu raised her voice to the sky Thoirni was among one of the first to follow suit. His deeper tones blending and dipping with her own as he welcomed the newly minted couple into the pack as one. It was a long moment before he lowered his maw to watch those around him celebrating.

She didn't know Giselle. She did not know her, and because of that, she was worried about what was going to happen. What if she was only pretending to be nice? Artemis was happy for her brother, but she was bothered by the fact that she hardly knew the female that was about to be her brother's mate. It was sort of her fault, since she had never made the effort to be friends with her, but she hadn't been paying enough attention to their budding relationship, apparently. Now, Silvano and Giselle were going to become mates and Artemis hardly knew her!

The princess of the Dreamers was excited, though, as she stood with the pack to watch the ceremony. Though she loved the feeling of running in her lupus form, the Marino girl had taken her optime form for the occasion. When Anu raised her aging muzzle in a call of celebration for the new couple, Artemis joined in happily, her heart warm for her brother's happiness.

The sable Censor had been in her room a great deal recently, she had been waiting for her injured leg to heal, it seemed to be making nice progress now, so it seemed that it was a suitable time to begin walking the lands more frequently once again. And this occasion was something that she was not going to miss, it was a wonderful thing for the pack when two wolves fell in love and decided to be mated, Soran was overjoyed for the pair. The truth was that she did not know them well, she had simply seen them around the lands in passing, but they were in her pack and therefore were as good as family to the ebony pelted lady. In fact Silvano was related to Savina and threfore to Cambria and that made him one of the Censor's in-laws, even if it was a distant relation; still te sable female wanted to be there with the pair to enjoy their special day and to celebrate with them. She had not been to a mateship ceremony before, she and Deuce had not bothered with such things, simply falling back into the routine that they had had so long ago, but for others Soran could see why it might be a wonderful thing and so she had attended today. Her mane was braided down her back, two coloured feathers tucked into the leather strand at the bottom of it, but that was the only adornment she had today, save for her two necklaces which she never took off.

The lady smiled as she listened to the pair exchange their vows, a sable hand reaching up to touch the silver pentagram that hung at her throat, it had been given to her by her own mate almost six years ago and had been as constant as her love for the pale female. Watching the pair, a pair that were so obviously in love was truly heart warming for the dark female. As it was all concluded and Anu raised her head in a loud call of cheer, Soran tilted her own dark head towards the sky, opening her maw in a call of joy for the newest mated pair of the dreamers.

ooc goes here

She wouldn't stray far from her mate while her mate was in need of a gentle touch. In fact, her own ribs were still painful. She was knitting up alright, but she wasn't one hundred percent better yet. Still, Soran had wanted to go to the mateship ceremony. Deuce could refuse her mate nothing, not after all the hell they'd been through to reunite. She squeezed the black furred womans hand gently. She wore a loose fit white gauze dress and her hoops, her white blond mane pulled back into a simple braid. They'd never really traded official vows. They'd fallen into old habits. Deuce and Soran shared a room, a bed. Deuce's room had become storage for the couple, the room where Deuce dried her herbs. The white woman wondered if her mate waned something like that.

Seeing Soran touch the ancient pentagram, Deuce smiled. There was no regret in the smile, only love. As the the leader led the assembled Dreamers in a howl, she lifted her voice alongside her mate and pack mates. Life was good, life was wonderful. The war was over, the pack at peace. Perhaps now the former Shaman could relax into a simple life, working on establishing herself once more as a healer. As her voice drifted off, she gave Soran a tender kiss. Her heart would forever belong to the sable woman.

Erin is late to the party, Savi muse has been loooooow DX

This even seemed almost surreal to the dark Consul. It wasn't that none of her children had taken a mate yet, Cambria had, but that had been a quiet thing that only slowly came to light as her chocolate daughter and Mati had become confident with one another and that the pack would not react poorly. Her own mateship had start similarly, an agreement between she and Kansas with no others around to bear witness. Though she hadn't experienced a ceremony herself, the woman could certainly see the appeal of such a thing. Still, it was so strange to be standing here among the pack, watching as her younger son pledged his life to the pale beauty.

They had chosen Anu to lead their ceremony and Savina was perfectly happy with that arrangement. Today, she just wanted to be a mother, not a leader. A large smile splayed across her muzzle as Silvano and Giselle exchanged their promises and vows of love. Her own heart was full to bursting and she squeezed Kansas' hand as tears of joy welled up in her emerald eyes. Anu then took up the howl and the Marino quickly joined in, her voice full of happiness and pride.
