Nov 15th after pack thread

He waited patiently for everyone to finish their food and slowly the pack meeting began to break up with people leaving as they grew bored of the proceedings. He noticed with some alarm that his sister left with some curly haired doggish looking hybrid, he made a mental note to grill her about the boy later and also to perhaps corner the boy as well and make sure he wasn't going to be trying any funny business with Fia. The boy hardly even noticed that he was staring at the pair of them leaving with a scowl on his face, a quiet growl coming from his throat.

He was waiting somewhat patiently for Jazper to finish conversing with the last stragglers. He understood that now that he was the leader of a pack he would have less time to spend with them as father and children and he was okay with it really. He was almost grown up now and had his own interests and hobbies separate from his family or even the pack as a whole. He thought of the block of wood he was trying to carve and the wooden flute that was hidden under the bed in his room, he wasn't ready to show anyone that yet at least not without a lot of persuasion.

The boy was still in his secui form as he waited for his father.

Leaving the pack, and Anann, to their own will the warrior spotted his son sitting patiently with a healthy scowl towards Fia and Gunnar. Although the father wanted to join him in shooting a warning glance at the curly haired boy he found himself unable to. It would be poor manners on his part to show such personal feelings in front of the pack and besides the kid wasn’t too bad. It didn’t seem that long ago that his own parents were warning him against his first love and the Knight would not allow himself to hurt his daughter the way his own parent’s criticism had hurt him.

Finally making his way out from the crowd of Cavalierites the Sole stood proud beside his son. Lorenzo had always been the most sensitive of his sons but at the same time the boy reminded Jazper a lot of himself in his early life. There was softness to Lorenzo that the coal father had held throughout his own life. It was a good quality, the wolf believed. Too much strength with too little empathy for feelings never did anyone any good.

Nudging him gently he motioned for the brown hued to leave well enough alone and follow along. “She’s fine.” He sighed, soft accent reassuring his son, “Maybe you aught to find yourself someone to help you get your mind off of things.” It was quite the hint for a father to give his son, about as far into the matter as he was wiling to go. Lucifer had been much better with ‘the talk’ than Jazper would ever be. As far as the coal wolf was concerned his children could do as they pleased, as long as he didn’t hear about it. Yellow eyes turned to Lorenzo,”So, where is this fishin’ spot you found?”

Concerned with his growl and glaring as he was, although trying to be somewhat discreet about it, he didn't notice his father coming towards him from the quickly dispersing pack. He grunted as Jazper nudged him and turned to follow the black male with an ill mannered snort. He was still unhappy with the situation. This was followed up with an almost bark of a laugh at his old man's next words, him find somebody? Yeah right, there was more chance of meat raining down upon them from the heavens above. He snorted again with disbelief.

"Ahh eere. Ah don't ned anyone. Lest of ahl a gurrll." He sulked to the more than likely amusement of his father. Larg paws pushed against the ground with more force that was necessary as he stalked away next to his rapidly becoming smaller than him paternal figure. He shrugged his shoulders to the question and stayed quiet for a few seconds before answering.

"Uhp towards tha north. Near tha ocean." He wasn't much of a navigator so that was really all he could say about it. He had found it by accident after all and hadn't been really paying attention to where he had been heading all that much but he believe he could find it again given a little visual prompting from the surroundings to help him remember. He sent a sly glance towards his father who was now newly single after splitting from his mother, did that mean he was going to start dating other women? The idea of it sat sourly in his stomach at the idea, but then Enzo's idea of normal would be his parents back together again, he wanted to see them happy again like they had been when he was young and child like, everything had be so much easier back then.

His son followed fast enough leading them further and further from the meeting place of the pack. It had been nice to see everyone together for a change. The new pack members were mostly loners and he strongly believed that if they were to grow into a single working unit he would have to bring them together more times then a normal pack in order to force them all into taking notice of the other members. Besides, it was good for both himself and Anann to see the group before them anyway. As leaders they both needed to know who was part of the pack, even the newer faces. It would be a challenge, as they grew bigger in numbers, but Jazper was okay with that, he enjoyed the company of others as well as asking questions.

At the brown giant’s words the older male couldn’t help but let out his own scoff and light laugh. “Don’t need anyone huh?” He repeated the words back emphasizing the stupidity of them. Enzo knew better than to say such things around his father, as Jazper was a big believer in the ways of teamwork at the moment. “Come on now son, we both know that everyone needs others but specifically someone else.” Maybe he had been setting a poor example for his son lately. He could often be found in a grumpy mood thanks to his mind being set around Ghita. “I know that your mother’s and my break up has effected you but be warned that a life without a special someone to challenge you and love you is not very fun.” Pausing he added, “Once you’re in love you’ll do anything to keep her by your side Enzo.” He followed the tan boy as a comfortable pace, unsure of what else to say.

The giant boy shook his head rapidly for several seconds, and blinked, something had flown into his eye. His mane that flowed down his back swayed with the movements looking almost like grass in the wind. Since he couldn't very well wipe his eye whilst running in a four legged form and stopping would only slow the pair down he contented himself with shaking his head, it would be obvious to Jazper that Lorenzo wasn't shaking his head in disagreement. He glanced at his father with a sharp movement of his neck at the laugh, he hated being laughed at, Jazper should know this and not try to make Enzo upset with it. But as his own words were repeated at him in a sarcastic tone he did realise how dumb they sounded and looked back onto where he was going again, heat suffusing his cheeks underneath the coat of dusty brown, he hated being embarrassed as well, the feeling of idiocy that hovered over him enough to sour his mood further.

He didn't respond to anything else that Jazper said about finding somebody to love, truly Lorenzo didn't think he would find anyone despite his father's gentle urgings so he kept his thoughts to himself, trying to argue with his father on a point such as this that he believed he was right on was damn nearly impossible and Enzo couldn't drag up the mental energy to pursue such a debate. The feeling of depression settled over the boy with the heaviness of a shaggy winter coat soaked in water and his eyes stayed fixed upon the large rocks he could see in the distance, beyond them would be a narrow trail through a copse of trees several hundred meters in length and then wind down into the swampy marshland that the fishing spot he had found resided within.

The rocks grew larger in size until they would tower over both men in their optime forms, the air grew heavy with misty moisture that settled onto their fur in the same manner as fog. A quiet ominousness prevailed throughout the entire area and Enzo felt his ears flattening against his head as they had done the first time he had come through here as well. He increased his pace from a fast jog to a moderately fast run hearing Jazper speed up behind him as well with a worried look on his face, it seemed his father disliked this place as much as he did. They passed on through it fast enough though and were soon trying to navigate the twisting and turning tangle of trees. Their large size was a hindrance and several times Enzo felt the drag of sharp branches down his back and sides,

"Ahh we'll ave to beat bachk the trees." Finally they came from the small impromptu forest onto the marsh like land with the river he had named Anoxi flowing gently into the tree waterfall pools. Within them a multitude of fish were visible swimming around.

"Ahh neemed them tha Crying Souls."
