Dark Is the Sky

WC: 235 OOC: First post to Liam then Leon and after a few rounds, a leader.

IC: She and Liam had gotten up at a fairly decent time Monday so they could get to Anathema sooner. She personally would have preferred if she could stay in his arms all day but they needed to find a home. They could spend time together just lying around when they got settled in. So they got on Ahuli and ridden at a medium speed most of the day, stopping a few times to hunt. They had also spent the night under the stars but got up early to continue on.

They stopped a few yards away from the edge of Anathema. Ayasha gave Liam a grin as she got off from her horse to wait for the only person she knew in Anathema, Leon. She howled for Leon, announcing that she was here and wanted to join with her friend. Though he was way more than a friend to her.

She considered her future with Liam and in this pack. It would be different with the caves and the fact that she was in a new place than where she had been raised. She had the warnings of Matteo in her mid as she waited. She was still staying but knew what she had to be careful of. She hadn’t yet told Liam about Teo’s warnings but not because she was afraid to or didn’t want to but because she hadn’t gotten around to it.

It was interesting, riding double on the horse. He hadn't ridden far on one before, so the soreness of his thighs from riding all day was a surprise to him. The nights they had spent in each others arms, making love, were beautiful, and magic. He had managed, with supreme force of will, to subdue the butterflies eternal entwinement of lust and blood. With Ayasha, his beloved, it was more than lust. Despite his rocky past, he loved her. He believed she could whisper the butterflies, the darkness away.

He watched as she slid off the horse. He followed suit, patting the horse's nose gently, offering it a handful of grain. He scratched it's nose as it munched the grain. Once he was done pampering his beloved's horse, he stepped to her side, sliding an arm around her shoulder. He was a little nervous; he had meant to come up here and visit before joining, but hadn't made it. So here he was now, standing at his woman's side.

He glanced at her, his eyes traveling down the chain to the ring he'd given her, a solid symbol of their mateship. A small smile tugged at his lips as he leaned over and kissed her gently. "We will be fine here, Kiddo. Things will get better from here." The reassuring words were as much for her as for him.

derp, you called for a Leon Big Grin
387

A howl? A call for him from the borders? The Austral male frowned to himself as he continued on his way towards the stables. He was greeted by his loyal steed and rubbed a hand over her velvety muzzle. The mare nickered in response to her rider's unusual quiet and mouthed at his ear bringing a playful grin from him. Fetching her tack and saddle the man kitted her up for a ride which they hadn't done together in a while and led her from the stables out through the maze of paddocks before mounting her and settling back into the molded tan leather. The black beast of a mare kicked up sparks as she galloped over the stoney ground, her long mane flowing behind her like a midnight flame, sometimes mingling with that of her rider and friend.

Coming from the inner sanctuary of Anathema they would be a long time arriving and he threw his head back to warn of this, his arrival while made with haste would not be swift due to circumstance but still he was on his way and that was all that mattered. The metal clinked and jingled almost merrily as Faith had to slow her speed over the hilly and rocky terrain lest she slip on treacherous ground. It had only taken one fall to kill Liliana. It did indeed take a large chunk of time for the two to finally appear from between the trees but within sight of the two not yet recognized people. It was Faith who first realised the small white form as Ayasha and she hurried forwards eager to greet the kindly young woman. He himself was not long in recognition as well and an easy smile slid onto his face.

Faith stuck her head forwards to huff in Ayasha's face and nibble on her long hair. He hadn't seen her since the war that had torn all of them apart. She had watched him kill another without regret or remorse, with a vengeful fury. Witnessing such things could change much about a person's feelings towards another.

"Ayasha. So good to see you again." His greeting was as warm as it had ever been though. The boy at her side did not escape notice and Leon struck her with a questioning gaze, why were they here?

IC: As Ayasha and Liam waited for Leon to come, Liam came and reassured her. She leaned into his kiss and gently kissed him back. ”I know, loverboy. How are you doing?” She had noticed his discomfort and silently promised to give him a massage, or at least as well as she could. She figured that he would be glad for the attention. She grinned as she saw Liam pampering her horse.

They luckily didn’t have to wait too long for a figure on a horse to come towards them. She could tell it was Faith and Leon but neither seemed to recognize her at first. Though at the distance it was a bit hard to see. Faith soon recognized her and came forward, reaching her head to Ayasha’s and messing with her hair. ”Hey, silly. It took me all of ten minutes to care for my hair. Don’t go messing it up.” She was of course probably going to be ignored but whatever.

Leon gave her a warm smile and she grinned back at him. ”Hi Leon. This is my boyfriend, Liam. We wanted to join Anathema.” She knew that Leon would ask about why and if her mother knew that she was here. She wouldn’t lie but she needed to figure out how to let Leon know about why they couldn’t stay other places without him worrying too much.

His ears went back slightly as the male on the horse approached. Even though Ayasha's voice had soothed his concerns, her was still anxious about meeting this uncle of hers, of joining this pack. As the uncle in question spoke, Ayasha answered. Liam's jealous nature raised it's head and he spoke up shortly after Ayasha. "I'm her mate, Liam. And she's right, we do want to join." His golden eyes darted between Ayasha and Leon as he reached for her hand.

The butterflies were whispering, dark things, jealous things. She wore his ring, she'd made a promise. Was she ashamed to introduce him as her mate now? "She had best not be," a dark voice said in the back of his mind. He glanced at her again with just his eyes, his head unmoving. He returned his gaze to the male, his posture neutral.

The dark voices didn't stop, though. They kept whispering things, dark and cruel things. Things about the tunnels, about the bone fragment he kept in his jeans wrapped in a piece of the tattered curtain from Sky's room the one time they had shared a real conversation, the one time he'd almost liked her. And then she had told him about Tameri, the shadow wolf in the guise of a pup. He alone had seen that what was supposedly a young wolf was actually a shadow, bent on destroying his family. And yet, when he'd defeated the shadow wolf, he'd been punished and banished, beaten nearly to death. He refused to return to the D'arte pack. From what he heard there was a price on his head in those lands anyways.

He kept his steady gaze on his mate's uncle, taking the male's measure. Yes, Ayasha had spoken highly of him. Would this male forbid her to see him like her mother had? He wouldn't be able to bear it. Ayasha was his now, his beloved mate, and he wouldn't let anyone stand in the way of that. Not now, and not ever. Anyone who tried would be in for a world of hurt. Even the butterflies, who had disdained the pure wolfess at first, had grudgingly allowed her to be near him. Telling him no would only make him want it that much more.

Apologies for the wait

The earth and chocolate male was proud and tall upon his steed of black and neither of them displayed the dominance they very well could have over the two now loners. Finding discussing and conversing with the two to be tiresome from the back of a horse the Austral male swiftly dismounted. Faith, now satisfied she had ruined Ayasha's hair enough backed away with a mischievous glint in her brown eyes and instead turned her attention to the stallion that had presumably carried them from AniWaya, giving no thought to the discussion she couldn't understand. León however blinked in surprise at the request. Join Anathema?

"What of Aniwaya?" He imagined Ralla would be pretty upset if Ayasha was moving all the way up here. And he didn't really see the white fire master agreeing to it. There didn't seem to be anything wrong about the brown toned boy stood next to Ayasha that so brazenly took her hand. But he knew all too well just how very deceiving looks could be and so it was a hard expression that crossed his face as he returned the measuring gaze to Liam. At the end of the day however, Ayasha was not his daughter to dictate to and boss about, if it had been Analise well then it would have been different.

"Eet's not my decision whether or not you can join. One of the leaders must accept you." He shrugged. He didn't really know why she had called for him for he had no power here.
#7
Ayasha gave Faith a mock glare at the mischievous look the mare gave her. But then she gave a snort at the look she was giving Ahuli, who was vaguely interested in the female of his kind. At Liam saying mate, as opposed to her boyfriend, she gave Liam an apologetic look. ”Yeah, Liam is my mate as of a few days ago. I’m just not used to calling him anything but boyfriend.” She reached up and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Yet Leon’s question about AniWaya, she sighed. ”I left there. Mom wouldn’t let Liam join AniWaya because…of his past.” She looked at Liam, letting him say what he had done. ”Mom forced me to leave without her blessing. We had been fighting about being with him and moving.” She leaned against Liam for strength with all this.

His saying that it was not his place caused her to nod. ”I know that. But I also wanted to tell you before I joined.” Her reasoning was odd but that was all right. ”Can you call for a leader to accept us?” She figured that they might need to explain Liam’s past to a leader. She just hoped that Anathema would accept the two of them and that Teo’s warnings were unfounded.
#8
He watched as Leon took his measure, a hard look on his face. If they were cats they would be circling and growling; but as it was, the males were just sizing each other up. He felt mollified as she corrected herself, squeezing her hand gently as she kissed his cheek. As she vaguely explained why they hadn't stayed in Aniwaya, his eyes glittered with a hard light. "I'll explain once we have a leader present."

While he felt no guilt over what he had done, he also remembered it very differently from how Ayasha had been told. He still felt he had committed no crime, and yet the world insisted that he was a danger, that he was too troubled to belong anywhere. Maybe they were right. He felt trepidation over joining, but not because of his supposed crimes. He was afraid that he wouldn't fit in, that the minor skills he possessed wouldn't be useful to the pack.

He squeezed his mate's hand again, his face not betraying his inner turmoil. His gaze had left the other male's face. It wouldn't do to be accused of challenging anyone before even being accepted into the pack. The amber gaze had fallen on the horses. He wondered if there was a way he could get his own horse. His time in D'Arte's stables had made him develop a fondness for the equine species. His favorite had been the mare he often rode, a communal mare. If he'd been in his right mind after destroying the shadow wolf, he would have taken the mare with him.

Perhaps here, he could figure out a way to barter or earn his own horse. His free hand reached out to pet the mare that had been messing with Ayasha's mane. The slight smile on his lips betrayed his fondness for horses, something that would have come as a surprise from the wolves of D'Arte. When Ayasha leaned against him, he let go of her hand, but put his arm around her. His golden gaze returned to her uncle as she asked him to call a leader. "Please," was all he had to add to her plea.

I'm so numb, Can't you hear me?
Here I am, There is something inside me
That still wants to feel
Word Count :: 742 Butting in with Alaki now ^^ Crows woulda arrived well before him and Alexander; both males still mounted; Hibiki is a blue sabino whilst Rain is an appaloosa

Weeks had passed and with them his injuries had begun to close and heal; the smaller more shallow ones were completely healed whilst the deeper ones were now well on their way to healing. Where the bears claws had deeply cut into him he knew he would have scars, his face and left shoulder were gonna be littered with reminders of the attack and the incident where his and Naniko's children had come very close to foolishly getting themselves killed. His blindness was still new and strange, but with each passing day he grew used to having a blind spot, his balance and ability to judge distances was slowly returning back to normal. The only bandages that remained were the ones on his left forearm and shoulder and once more the young samurai stalked through the howling caverns in his usual attire; black trousers and as many weapons attached to him as he could, his Katana threaded through a tattered leather belt hung to his right side, a welcomed and comforting presence.

Padding along to his left whilst humming was Alex; the Rakeeb was sure the male hummed so that he knew he was there, always being over protective and pointlessly over considerate. Maybe it was the pale males fault that he was so paranoid about his newly acquired blind spot... pondering the idea of blaming the male for making him self-conscious of something he shouldn't be the two proceeded outside of the caves, without speaking or looking at each other, settling into what was becoming their usual companionable silence. Upon emerging above ground the pair were greeted by three of the pack's crows; Chiya, Beyaz, and Kurayami. As beady red eyes of the albino male fell upon his master, Beyaz hoped from where he was perched and skilfully glided down to land upon the males left side; another nuisance right where he couldn't see.

Sighing he ignored the white bird and quickly signalled for the other two to fly ahead of him and Alex, making sure that no unknowns approached; after the bear attack he was much more cautious within his own home lands, especially since he was still injured and adjusting to being half blind. To his side he heard the humming stop and twisted his head so that he now looked upon the pale and overly pierced male, “What?” he asked, taking in the peculiar look upon Alex's face and then felt himself go dead cold when the other grinned. Cautiously he took a step back, but it was too late; Alex hooked his arm around his and began to drag the Rakeeb over in the general direction of the stables. “I've decided, i'm taking you out for a date” the ghostly male announced spontaneously, earning a groan of complaint from the young samurai.

Reaching the stable the pair mounted up and were soon riding along the borders, every now and then starting a mini race of which Hibiki one; the blue mare easily out matching Alex's stallion Rian. Pausing by the river he relaxed his reigns and allowed for Hibiki to drink, his head titling up to the skies as he heard a crows cries; Chiya flew down lower, circled once and then headed off indicating for him to follow; the two crows would arrive at the destination well before their master and would circle it or wait until he arrived as trained. “Got a situation it seems” he shouted over to Alex, picking his reigns up he pushed Hibiki into a light canter and could hear Alex following shortly behind him. It took the pair awhile but eventually they arrived to find Leon speaking with two strangers.

Almost in sync the Rakeeb and Zepar brought their horses to a halt just behind the Anzu, the grey Rakeeb whistled to the crows and the pair flew back into the territory resuming their duties... or so he hoped. The crows had a tendency to be unpredictable at times and would slack every now and then. With the crows dismissed he turned his attention back to the group gather, Beyaz's claws dug into his shoulder slightly, the albino crow uncertain with the presence of strangers. “Leon.” he spoke the male's name in welcome, his voice a controlled neutral; Alex peered over to the brown male and looked the stranger over quickly before turning his attention back to the others. “What's going on here?” he asked, getting straight to the point.

The smaller girl was given a caring smile for her excitement, she seemed so happy to have her new mate. His eyes were once again dragged to the brown and grey male and his expression turned to considering. Her next words though caused alarm to trickle through him, his past? What was he hiding then behind the fur and skin. His concern only grew although the Austral male kept it inside, buried under layers of practise with such things. If he expressed this concern now she might turn away and leave and then be alone with this boy, this man who she leaned against. Then he couldn't watch over her and keep her somewhat safe. Keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

So he didn't reach forwards and snatch her away from Liam, he didn't bare his teeth and chase him away, snapping at his heels as he did. He didn't raise even a single hackle or pull back either of his earthen ears. His claws remained relaxed and the sword at his waist was kept sheathed. Instead he smiled at her, a friendly gesture for the wish to let him know she was here,

"That ees very thoughtful of you. Anathema is a maze, eet could have been weeks before we are finding each other." Their request to call the leader was met with a nod and a complacent smile. His head twisted however as a crow suddenly fluttered into a tree branch nearby and squawked. Seconds later another joined it, this one pure white in appearance. He turned back to the two with an odd look,

"I have no need to call, he is already coming." He turned so that he was facing slightly away from the two of them and looked into the gloom for the sounds of the arrival that he knew was approaching. Sure enough as the day turned to night he came from the shadows riding his devil horse, Hibiki. He was not alone, however his companion was known to the Spaniard, the one that had tried to help out during the bear attack, Alexander. The formal greeting was returned to Alaki along with a respectful nod of his head,

"Rakeeb. Alexander. They wish to join Anathema." It was kind of obvious why they were here but he answered the question anyway.

Ayasha stared at the two men as they sized each other up and gave a mental sigh. She knew that they both meant well but being men, they would both show which one loved her more. Though Leon was her uncle and so had a very different love for her than Liam, or at least she hoped. She loved Leon but only as an uncle and friend, not like she loved Liam.

But at least Leon seemed happy for her to be here, even with Liam. She hoped they would be nice to each other but the two of them simply stared each other down, causing Ayasha to slight shake her head at their trying to be more manly than the other. But she wouldn’t stop them unless they went at each other, but that seemed unlikely.

She saw the two crows and at Leon’s words figured that they somehow belonged to a leader. Her suspicions about a leader coming were confirmed by the approach of someone with power. Her ears lowered and she passively became submissive. She didn’t say anything until this “Rakeeb” asked her a question directly. She greeted enough joiners and been part of a pack long enough to know how to act when joining.
#12
Leon spoke, and Liam looked away, watching as the two males on horseback appeared. He left his arm around his mate, but lowered his ears appropriately, his tail lowered to a submissive position. This was a pack led by males, it seemed. (Or so he thought, at least.) And they seemed to know how to handle themselves in battle as judging by their appearances.

He let his gaze drift up, taking in the appearance of the leader, the Rakeeb, and his companion. Amber eyes then turned their scrutiny onto the crows, then glanced at Ayasha, then decided to follow her lead. He would be submissive, he would let the leader ask the questions of them. When asked, he would confess his supposed crime, and then explain how he saw it happen. He wasn’t going to mouth off, as long as the leaders showed they were worthy of his obedience. Skye never did, not really. There was the one time, shortly after he began shifting, but she didn’t even have the guts to try to kill him, she sicced Shawchert on him.

But this leader seemed like he was one who would command respect, and earn it. Like Gabriel had when Liam had met him. He’d had a commanding presence, a strong personality, and a dominating aura. Liam had instantly respected him.

He glanced at Leon again, wondering what it was the other mud hued male was thinking, if he was inspecting Liam for flaws, for weaknesses, for imperfections in his armor. Liam’s only weakness (besides the penchant for listening to the black butterflies) was Ayasha. And she wasn’t so much a weakness as she was a strength. When he needed her, she was there. When he needed someone to talk to him until the butterflies stopped whispering, she was able to do it. No one had ever understood him like she did. No one ever would.

Yet he still wanted to join the pack, to be at her side. He needed her as much as she needed him, and they knew it. As long as his past didn’t interfere with them joining. He hoped it wouldn’t. He didn’t know of any other packs that would take him with his history, unless he told his mate to lie about it with him. He might have insanity in his mental make up, but lying was not something he did. He couldn’t bring himself to do it. Honest to a fault, that was him, and he knew it.

I'm so numb, Can't you hear me?
Here I am, There is something inside me
That still wants to feel
Word Count :: 397 :3

The scarred samurai simply looked upon each potential member for a moment, considering and calculating each ones potential skills and uses, his scent indicated one was a loner; possibly, he wasn't too sure with the male, but the female definitely carried the scent of AniWaya with her still. Aside from the small welcome from Leon the other two said nothing, their body language coming across submissive and polite as some seeking to join chose to hold themselves; although he could rationally understand why it was polite to show submission when joining, yet at the same time the grey Rakeeb couldn't phantom ever submitting to anyone simply to join a pack... for most of his life he'd been within Anathema and he had no intention to leave and so he hoped to never be stuck in the position of having to submit to join another pack.

And so it goes without saying submission and respect he cared little for from his pack members and potential members; hell, most of the pack members often conveniently forgot he was their Rakeeb and treated him like the simple warrior he once was, although much had changed since then it seemed that many members opinions of him were fixed, not that such things mattered much. All he cared was that members were loyal to himself and the Angela and obeyed the laws with no exception.... those that defied him or Naniko soon would soon learn why he had gained his rank within the pack and it had nothing to do with him being a charming guy.

Carefully he dismounted Hibiki, the mare stepping around abit before she settled down again. Running a hand lightly down her neck he pulled her reigns over her head, not trusting the mare to behave herself if left alone. Following suit Alexander dismounted, but unlike the Rakeeb Alex did not hold onto the stallions reigns; his horse Rian complacently sat there, content not to move or do anything. As if by habit Alex moved to stand to the Rakeeb's left side to protect the Rakeeb's blind spot, the young samurai mentally rolled his eyes and sighed before addressing the two strangers. “Names, your reasons for wanting to join Anathema and what skills you can offer mine and the Angela's pack” he asked all the questions at once to get things over and done with as quickly as possible.

OOC: Jace gave me permission to skip her.

IC: She smiled at Liam’s submission. She knew that he was mostly doing it for her since he had some authority issues. So she was grateful that he was trying to do things the right way for her. She would have to reward him for that later. Internally, her grin turned a little evil and her thoughts wandered into what she could do to reward him once they were alone.

But Alaki asked her and Liam very valid questions and yet she was a bit hesitant about telling what he had done. But she would just let Liam explain. ”I’m Ayasha from AniWaya and I want to join to be with my mate here, Liam. I was a scout at AniWaya and can hunt and do some fighting.” She wondered if that would mean anything to him. But she was honest with him, at least with her story. Liam’s side was his to tell.

She then let Liam tell his story, giving his hand a gentle squeeze of encouragement and support. She would be by his side no matter what. Even if they were turned away from Anathema, she would still be with Liam all the way. All the way to the end, no matter where that would lead her.
#15
He watched, and he listened. When it was his turn, he spoke, his chin lifting slightly, his shoulders squaring as if daring anyone to condemn his words. "I am Liam, and I am a loner. We come to join because Aniwaya would not have me. When I was a member of D'Arte, I had several run ins with shadow wolves, the same creatures that killed my mother and sister. Not like you, sir, but black wolves with evil hearts. Some would call them demons. One day, I killed one. I remember destroying a shadow wolf, though they claim it was nothing but the pup my... Taliesin and Sky adopted. I think it was the shadow wolf, but Ayasha says that the artisians beat me severely, leaving me for dead in Ethereal Eclipse." His eyes were watching the grey toned male now, watching his reactions.

"I bring with me my hunting skills, my fighting prowess, my strength. I also can read and write, and I can do some carving. I am well versed with mucking out stables and caring for livestock, and I am a quick learner of skills. All I wish is to stay with my mate." His eyes darted to Leon, then back to the Rakeeb, unconsciously giving his mate's shoulder a gentle squeeze.

He wondered if his past would be something that would interfere with their joining; after all, it had been a hindrance for him to joining Aniwaya. He would have been content living life as two mated loners, but his mate, his love, had her heart set on being a member of a pack. He had toyed with the idea of suggesting that they create their own pack, but he wasn't sure she was ready for that idea just yet. And besides, he'd want it somewhere far away from the others, where they could protect against shadow wolves.

In the end, it all came down to making Ayasha happy. That was all he wanted to do. He wanted to see her happy. If telling his story at the border and acting submissive did it, so be it. If his being a bottom ranked wolf instead of a free loner made her happy, so be it. He would give anything at all to make her happy.

UNTIL THE DAY I DIE
Should I bite my tongue until blood soaks my shirt?
Never fall apart, so tell me why this hurts so much
My hands are at your throat and I think I hate you
Word Count :: 611Mauris sagittis sodales egestas

The female was sound; he had no reason to reject her and he was sure she'd be of some use to the pack one way or another... but the male was another matter. A frown slowly touched the grey male's face, his eyes staring and assessing as he began to slowly pick apart what the male had said and processed the information. Naniko had set up Anathema to give others a second chance, to not judge, to accept anyone from any background and welcome those regardless of their past; but that was Naniko, not him. Maybe it was the recent bear attack or the simple fact that he was a father had finally struck him, but the simply thought of accepting a killer into their ranks caused him to pause. Rationally thinking he knew that there were many killers already within the pack whom had proven themselves and assisted the growth and continuation of the pack one way or another, their were eccentric canines and some hands down wack jobs. Like him, at times.

Turning his head slightly he looked to Alex and noticed the pierced male had a peculiar look upon his face.. or well, the male was concealing his emotions which was strange for the ghostly coloured older wolf. Turning back he continued to look at the pair for a moment and then sighed. As much as he detested the idea of allowing a pup murder into his home, by rejecting the male he'd be acting against the Angela's will and defying what Anathema stood for; the latter he cared little about, but for the most part he tried to stay in Naniko's good graces in fear of the white females wrath on the odd chance he did something to …. displease her. Pulling himself up to his full height he held himself in a dominant posture to make sure that his following words were taken seriously. “I'm Alaki, the Rakeeb of this pack. Second to the Angela” he introduced himself to the pair, noting that Alex didn't introduce himself and remained quite with his poker face in place. “I'll make this perfectly clear before anything else is said, if I allow you into my home you will damn well swear not to lay a finger on any of the pups; whether they are some 'shadow wolf' or not I do not care. Anathema is one family, bound by blood and I will not tolerate any harm coming to any of the pups or members unless there is proof or a damn good reason for them to be harmed” he spoke slowly, not raising his voice but making sure both the female, Ayasha as she had introduced herself and her mate understood that murder, regardless of some of the violent tendencies of many members, was not acceptable.

“With that said. Welcome to Anathema I guess” he nodded slightly and reached behind himself and pulled a small dagger out from the sheath at his back. Although his Katana was his weapon of choice, the blade was too big to do the joining ritual Agares. “To join Anathema you must go through Agares; sharing of blood to make you family. It's just a small cut upon each of your hands and one across mine, pressing the wounds together so that you are bound to the pack through blood” he explained to them, “So, do you still wish to join or does a little cut scare you two off” he asked, a grin settling upon his face. So far no one had been put off by the ritual, but he still asked regardless; it amused him to ask for some strange reason.

OOC: Jace has given me permission to skip her again.

IC: Ayasha watched Alaki as Liam explained what he had done. She knew that many packs would not even think twice about turning him away because of his past. Yet the fact that he paused gave Ayasha some hope that they both would be accepted. He didn’t seem to have any problem with her since she simply was leaving one pack to join another. Granted the reason why she was leaving AniWaya might cause some people to think twice about her sanity.

Alaki finally introduced himself to the two of them and explained that they were to not harm any pups and Ayasha knew that that was more directed at Liam than her. She glanced at her mate to see what his reaction would be but she nodded nonetheless. ”I’d never hurt any pups for any reason.” Yet she didn’t speak for Liam. She only hoped that he would promise to not hurt any pups, and mean it.

The second in command of Anathema reached behind him and grabbed a knife. When she first saw the knife she gave him a curious look but let him explain about the knife. He said that before they could be accepted, they both needed to share blood with him. He then asked if they were going to chicken out because of the small cut and he got a funny look on his face. Ayasha wasn’t sure what was so funny about that comment but she wouldn’t remark on it. ”I’ll still join. I’m afraid of a little blood.” And she wasn’t. She had hunted and participated in battle before. A little cut wouldn’t faze her in the least.

((Sorry about the shortness. Its late, and I'm exhausted.))

He listened to the male's words, feeling the butterflies seething. "It wasn't a pup, it was a shadow wolf." The words were in his mind, but not on his lips. He felt angry that this demand would be made of him, but he nodded. "Very well. I swear I will not harm any member of the pack." His face was unreadable, his voice flat and emotionless.

The male pulled a dagger out and spoke of sharing of blood. Liam arched an eyebrow, but listened. After a moment he held his hand out, palm up. His facial expression spoke clearly. 'Cut me, then.' He knew Ayasha and himself would do anything to stay together, even if it meant going through some inane ceremony for approval.

His gaze didn't waver from the male's face, even though the male had revealed he wasn't the main leader, but a second in command. Still, it would be interesting to be part of a pack with strong male leadership. He needed someone he could respect, not someone who was weak and bent easily. He was sure Ayasha felt the same. Maybe.

UNTIL THE DAY I DIE
Should I bite my tongue until blood soaks my shirt?
Never fall apart, so tell me why this hurts so much
My hands are at your throat and I think I hate you
Word Count :: 668Welcome to Anathema! Lemme know via PM what room you wish to claim (Either in the village or in the caves) if you so wish to claim one. Also, there's the member directory and livestock; if you wish to be added or have animals to be added to either table pm the information to either me or James.

The female was first to swear no harm to the young, the male following suit. Watching the pair his grin slipped away; humour of the moment quickly passing and was replaced by the sullen expression that the young Rakeeb usually displayed. “And you best stick to you're words, for if you harm anyone under my protection” he pinned his eyes onto the male, directing this comment solely at the murderer, “For. Any. Reason. Then you won't live ta' tell the tale.” he flashed his teeth in a twisted smile before settling back into his sullen neutrality. Swearing of words meant little to him in truth; but Naniko strongly believed in giving everyone a second chance and he didn't want the white leader on his back and so he'd give the pair a chance. Just that, one chance. If they wished for his approval, acceptance and for his trust and loyalty they'd have to prove themselves and earn it.

Stepping forward he titled the dagger in his hand so that the blades edge was angled to cut, as he closed the distance between himself and the pain he ran the blade across his palm; the cut itched for a second but the pain was familiar and easily ignored. Dropping his left hand back by his side he could feel the dampness of blood seeping from the wound but cared little; taking his time he made a shallow cut first upon the female's hand and pressed his cut hand again her allowing a moment for the blood to merge before he pulled his hand away and stepped over to the male and repeated the process. Pulling his hand away he stepped back to create space between himself and the others, tilting his head to the side slightly in a way of showing that the ritual was done.

“With that you are now members of Anathema. You'll start of as Zepars; the lowest of the pack and until you raise within our ranks I suggest you remember you're place” he explained to the pair “Many of our members reside within the underground caves known as the howling caverns, where you may claim a chamber for yourselves; this is where you'll find both myself and Naniko if you need myself or the queen for anything” he referred to the white leader as 'queen' which was apparently a nickname that seemed to be sticking, for Naniko was their ice cold Angela and worthy of such a title. “If living underground is not for you, then there's the Thankary Village, located in the souther part of Musquodoboit Valley, although many of the houses there are in grave need of repair. Up to you guys where you live” he shrugged his shoulders to emphasise his point; unlike many packs Anathema wasn't all to strict upon rules, there were only a few things members could do to earn the wrath of the leaders.

With the tightening of claws upon his shoulder he remembered Beyaz, the bird settled comfortable within his blind spot. “Hrmm, guess I better mention the crows as well. For awhile the crows of Anathema will screech at ya; ain't anything personal. They run a form of alert system; create a right ruckus when they see someone they don't recognise, takes them roughly a week before they stop. Although if you hear crows screeching or a crow approaches you and indicates you should follow, then do so; generally tends to me intruder or a threat of sorts” he tried to explain the crows best he could, but explaining wasn't his strong point; the members would grow accustomed to the crow's presence and eventually understand for themselves the role the many crows played.

“They ain't pets, they ain't food so please leave them alone” and with that he had covered everything he could think of. “So where do you plan to stay? I can have a crow direct you to any destination or if Leon's free he can show you around?” he asked the pair.

Last post for me, can we oocily assume that Leon shows them around AT?
241

He watched the entire proceedings as though looking through the mind of somebody else, it was almost surreal. He remained in silence as Alaki questioned the two of them as he was apt to do but while he appeared to be motionless his mind was whirling at many times the normal speed it usually did. He was extraordinarily appalled at Ayasha's decision to take this murderer for a mate and struggled not to show it, hence his attempt at detaching himself from the reality of the moment. He could deal with it all when he was alone and free to voice an opinion to the air, his thoughts turned to poor Ralla who now had the knowledge that her daughter was far away and in danger.

The ceremony was concluded with the exchanging of blood and he could clearly remember his own when he had come frantic and looking for his daughter. He only returned fully back to the situation as Alaki mentioned him by name, he nodded his head slowly and spoke for the first time since Alaki's arrival,

"Ahh have time for a quick tour. But tha stables and livestock need tending." He then turned to the white pair,

"Eff you are consenting, I can show you around more things and places later in today?" His trip into his own mind had brought back the thickness of his spanish accent and the reminder that his english wasn't really that great either.
