OOC here: Table & Coding © Zero; Prompt: Snowshoe hares have donned their winter pelt. If you're after white fur, now is the time to hunt. Keep in mind that these hares are crepuscular, and most active during dawn and dusk; 323 words

Symera wandered away to the north of the mansion rather than traveling out past the borders. But then again she had been spending the dark hours of the morning training with Halo and had recently finished up. While her body was tired from the exertion her mind was still active and wouldn't allow for rest. Because of that she had chosen to go for a walk at a time that the sky finally decided to start to lighten. She headed out to the open fields of the moors where snow had collected upon the ground. Everything felt to be quiet and peaceful out here before the rest of the world decided to wake up.

At least she had thought nothing was awake until a lump of snow had decided to move. this caused the girl to blink and train her gaze upon where she could have sworn she had seen movement. Were her eyes playing tricks upon her? She had never seen snow move around like that before. It made her uncertain if she had really seen something or not. Maybe she was a bit more tired than she had figured that she was.

But no, there it was again. There was a shift in the snow. The girls held her breath and remained still as she watched the spectacle. How was the snow moving? Why was it even moving? These were questions that she couldn't answer herself. And well, she didn't spot any around to ask them either. All she could do was stand and stare with bated breath, waiting for the phenomenon to reveal itself and its secrets. Or if not that then to wait until someone else happened to wake up and wander along that could explain it. This was one of the few times where Symera's age shown through and that she hadn't been in this world an entire year yet to experience everything that happened throughout each season.
Wraith awoke in her cave at the same time she did everyday, just after the sun rose. She made her way north, taking a different route than usual. Most days she spent her time trying to get to know other Inferni members. This was a difficult time for her since she still wasn't sure what she wanted to do in the clan. She wanted to honour her father and become a warrior, but she wasn't sure if she would be any good at it. Although hunting had been fun, she also wasn't sure if she liked it that much. So, she decided to give this some thought. She still hadn't talked to any of the upper-ranked members because, to be quite frank, they intimidated her. Although they weren't necessarily crabby like Hybrid or mean like Halo, just knowing how important they were was somewhat scary.

She headed to the mansion in the hope that someone was awake. Maybe she could try talking to someone about what they did. She could smell Halo was up already, so she distanced herself from that scent. She noticed another coyote, the younger one from the hunt, had headed north. Knowing that the coyote was likely closer in age to Wraith, Wraith decided to follow the scent. If she got lucky maybe she could ask her about what she did.

After twenty minutes, she found the other coyote standing still and staring at the snow. Wraith froze. Was she hunting? Wraith moved closer, quietly and cautiously stepping on the packed snow. When she got closer, she stood next to the other coyote and wagged her tail. She tilted her head in curiosity, following the other coyote's gaze. Something was moving in the snow! But what? She glanced back at the coyote again, hoping to catch her gaze and silently ask her what she was doing.
