He was welcomed back into the pack, it was a change, he was back to the warmth of other, and he could officially be able to be a member of the pack. The month long punishment was hard for him but it did teach him something. The lesson was very important and would carry with him though the rest of his life. This whole process made him stronger. The silver male wasn’t sure if that black male wanted him to toughen up and forget about the family that he had left behind, or if it was just to be taken as it was. A punishment for being in another pack lands that he wasn’t a part of. Either way it was over now, and the male would rather not see anyone from the pack…it was a cold, cold place.

The male walked over to a bone that had been left on the den floor picking it up as he walked outside of the den laying down with it between his foot and his stub, as he turned his head to the side and started to chew upon the bone. He was a part of the pack now and he knew that he would never think twice about going back to see any one from the pack, right down to Jace…she stood there and watched the punishment. She was supposed to be his sister. No sister stood there and watched her brother get treated that way.

She had wandered away from D'Arte, away from the promise she'd made to Orin. She'd return there, if only to unmask Taliesin's cruelty. She still wore the clothing Soul had purchased at the festival, though she was without the silver collar the succubus woman had wanted. She had managed to keep the raven feather, her token from Odadio, and had even grown fond of the piercings, though they made shifting awkward, so she had ceased shifting to lupus or secui, and exclusively used her optime. Besides, optime form made carrying her ever present pouches easier.

She had heard of a different kind of pack further north, one that emphasized the 'natural' order of life, and it had her curious. They'd have no use for an assassin, though. Few packs honestly would, though she'd heard of some that might have use for someone of her nature. However, her counterpart made it hard to gauge things. After all, an assassin was useful; a succubus wasn't so useful, but perhaps a succubus assassin? That had possibilities.

She found the border easily. She walked along it, not stepping over just yet. Instead, she let her head fall back as a slow song fell from her lips, a call for someone to come and greet her, to introduce themselves to a lonely young woman on her own. She tossed auburn curls over her shoulder, her blue-green eyes scanning the area. She was a haughty woman, regardless of the name she called herself that day, but she was beautiful, and she was strong.

His belly was full of mink, a wonderful delicacy, as he made his way slowly back to the den site. His mind however was not as content as his stomach, and it roiled as he thought over the happenings of the previous day. Terra was still back at the den, recovering under Deuce’s hand and Shadowfangs watch. He had decided she would only stay as long as it would take for her to move on her own, then Shadow would escort her back to the Court and tell them of what had happened. Zalen was glad her life had been spared, but at what cost? She had been slandering New Dawn’s name, as he had learned from Adonia the day before. He didn’t like it, but what could he do now? He would not put the healing coyote out in the cold.

Just as he exited the forest to come upon the den site, a call rang out in the distance. He stopped, regal head turning to listen to it. Then he turned back to the mouth of the den, outside of which the newly accepted Noah lay chewing a bone. Zalen looked at him for a moment, the tip of his tail just twitching in a wag. He knew he had hurt Noah, and was unsure of how to build the relationship between them again, but he knew he had to do something.

Walking up to the gray male he greeting him with a soft bump of his muzzle to Noah’s, Would you like to accompany me to the borders to see who calls? He asked, his tail wagging with a little more fervor. It would be nice to have the male accompany him, it would give them a chance to talk, or just be together, on friendlier terms.

Sorry for the pp on Zalen Nat. I can change it if it's not okay.

Was the silver male supposed to forgive every one of the crimes that they had done upon his heart and soul? The last moons time was hard on him, but it had taught him something very important. The lesson was to trust no one but your-self, believe in no one but your-self.

The male lifted his head hearing the call at the border, he snorted. Borders were not a welcomed task by him. Border meant that some one that shouldn’t be in the lands was there and they always wanted something. He rolled his good ear back as he looked up to the now towering shadow over him. The black male leader, the very same male that not that long ago pulled him though the pack and pushed his face into the mud and stood upon his head. Noah’s head jolted back and away from the touch, he just looked at the black leader with a blank look. ”Don’t….please” The male spoke about being touched, he was changed and touching was not something that he wanted. Frankly he didn’t want anyone right down to Soran touching him.

He knew better then to be demanding, it was more of a passive statement, maybe a hint of a request. He was not about to anger the black male once again. He served his time from the last crime he had committed, he didn’t want another month of exile from the pack.

The male rolled to his three feet as he shook off some of the dead grass that was on his silver pelt. ”If you wish.” Noah spoke truthfully. Frankly he didn’t want to be near the black leader. He was no longer the Omega and no longer the jester of the pack. He wasn’t that much higher, but he was no longer the one member that the pack could laugh at, play with, or snap at when they were in a foul mood.

The male took a step back allowing the black male lead the way to his borders. He was assuming this trip was a lesson upon how he wanted the borders handed.

Coming up to the border he stood back letting the male step up, though his blue Sawtooth eyes lay upon the female at the borders…it was like a ghost from his past. He snorted and shook his head. It must have been a head game that someone was playing on him.

She ran her fingers through her auburn curls, waiting. She debated the wisdom of howling again, but settled instead for taking a seat. The ground was cold and hard, yet her wait soon proved fruitful. She lifted her eyes to the approaching wolves, then let them ease down before her startled gaze jumped to the grey furred male. She studied him, her hand lifting to toy with the raven feather braided into her mane. She could tell by posture that one was much higher in rank than the other, and it was to the higher ranked wolf she directed her gaze and somewhat flirtatious smile.

"Hello, there. I am Willow. I was nearby, and wanted to stop and enquire about the lands I had heard of." Again, the flirty smile as if Soul were trying to escape the confines of the shared mind. Inwardly, Willow hissed at Soul to back down, that now was not the time to be a flirt. Surprisingly, the succubus backed down from the assassin. Willow studied the two males. Having dismissed the grey male as less important, her gaze was mostly on the black furred male. Though the flirtatiousness had fallen from her smile, the smile had not yet fallen from her lips. She was a good actress in either persona, and it made her next action easier to do.

Willow dipped her head, offering her neck in a modified show of submission. Her hands rested in her lap, thereby concealing the pouches which hid her daggers. She submitted, but she was willing to fight if he took the token gesture too far.

Zalen nearly jumped when Noah shied away from his touch, for a split second believing the once Omega was going to lash out of him. But then the male’s timid voice asked that Zalen not touch him, and the Alpha’s ears laid down pathetically against his dark head. Noah’s words struck him across the heart with a knife, and while Zalen still knew that his decision to punish the male were just and founded, he still could not help but feel a semblance of shame for the mental suffering of his pack-mate.

With a sigh Zalen nodded when Noah stood; the male didn’t seem to want to come along, but Zalen would have him come regardless; there could not be such tension between them, and the Alpha knew the more time they spent together the better the healing process would become. But he knew that it would be some time yet before the gray male trusted him again.

The trek to the borders was done in silence, not so much because of what had been said but because Zalen did not know what else to say. Instead, he trotted next to his companion at a respectful distance and pace; the male’s gait was lopsided due to his missing a leg, and therefore Zalen had to slow down somewhat to accommodate him.

Soon, the figure who had called them arrived in their vision; it was a Luperci female, and a stunning one at that with her golden brown fur. Zalen’s stance changed from a relaxed one to dominance like the flip of a switch; it was only after doing so that he noticed the hitch in Noah’s pace. He glanced over at his pack-mate and saw the look of recognition in his eyes; he then turned to the female; if there was an recognition there, she hid it well.

The female bowed subtly and smiled at Zalen in a way that made his fur stand on end; it was the smile of a vixen, a succubus. Zalen knew that some females were this way, and that perhaps this one was soon to start her cycle, so he thought nothing of it. Besides, he had a beautiful mate waiting for him back at the den, and her beauty was beyond compare.

She introduced herself as Willow, and that she had come to fulfill her curiosity about New Dawn. This was the norm as of late with newcomers at the borders, and she did not smell of any other pack, so Zalen was not bothered by her inquiry, Well met Willow, I am Zalen Damaichu, Alpha of New Dawn upon who’s borders you stand. And this is Noah, my pack-mate. What questions do you seek answer? His exchange in words was polite, for he had yet to learn why exactly it was that this femme was standing at the cusp of his territory.

The voice that had come from the female’s mouth sent a chill though the silver male, not only did she look like the sister that he lost in the Unwritten lands, but the voice was a hunting memory of that sister. The male had assumed that the sister was dead. He had traveled though the lands trying to find her, he was even willing to make a trade with the black devil him-self that ruled the pack.

The silver male face was stone; he did not show any feelings, nor any emotions. The male really had nothing to say. The black male seemed to have everything covered with what he said. Noah truthfully did not want to be around the black male, however he stood there out of respect for the rank, respect of the rank and respect his youthful mate that Noah called friend.

"Well met Willow, I am Zalen Damaichu, Alpha of New Dawn upon who’s borders you stand. And this is Noah, my pack-mate. What questions do you seek answer?" Her blood ran cold as her gaze returned to the grey tripod again. Noah. Shadowy emotions ran amok in her eyes, ranging from joy to anger, from hurt to excitement, and every undefinable emotion in between. Finally, a cold expression settled on her face as she stared at the grey furred male with the eyes of his father.

"First, Noah can explain why he and his brother Taliesin abandoned me so long ago. I wasn't even a year old yet." She stood, not out of a want to show some kind of dominance, but from a need born of her sudden anger. She was furious, and she wanted to lash out at her half brother, to punish him for abandoning her. After a moment, she stopped her sudden pacing, biting her lip.

"I'm sorry, such an outburst was... indecent. Forgive me, sir." She looked at the alpha through lowered eyes, a calculated move that made her appear shy and demure. "What I wanted to know was what sort of wolves inhabited this packland. See, I'm looking for a place far different from Catalyst, a place where the wolves do not feed off each others insanity. A place where the innocent are not raised to be assassins." "Whoops. We did it now. Oh well."

Zalen's olive eyes did not miss any of the emotions that ran through the stranger, Willow’s face. He was adept at reading the emotions of others’, it was a skill he had acquired from a young age, after his mother had died. He hoped, that her mental roulette wheel would settle on a fairer, happy emotion; but it was not to be so.

The face that had been sweet and flirtatious a moment before then twisted into a look of dark disapproval rooted in memories. The female rose then, and spat out venomous words at Noah, followed quickly by a sugar coated apology. She then said that she wished to learn more about these lands, and let on to where she had come from, a place where assassins were born.

Zalen’s ears sat high and forward on his head and he stared the woman down, even though she stood above him, The wolves here respect each other and do not take kindly to outsiders speaking as you have to my brother, He licked his black lips then, letting white teeth show momentarily, I don’t know of this Catalyst of which you speak, but if the young there are bred to be assassins, and it spawns such wolves as yourself, then I assure you, yes it is much different from New Dawn. His normally green eyes turned icy then, and his hackles raised, though he did not make any outward threat besides this.

The quick change in her voice might have thrown the once tender hearted grey male for a loop, but that was in a place that was dead and gone. Noah was just as cold and distance as what the Soul female could be if she was in the mood. The male looked at her, she was the grown image of the pup that was stolen from him and his brother in the pack war. Though the midnight colored male was quick to bring the female down to the level that she belong to, the silver male snorted and gave a soft chuckle. ”Abandoned?” So that the lie that she was spoon feed from that black monster that she lived under. Noah was willing to do whatever it took in order to bring all the prisoners back after that war. ”I meet Odiado once. Just as dark as Lucifer.” The Sawtooth male wasn’t sure if she knew anything about the father who had held him captive for his youth. ”You must have been a useless pawn to him. Since he had no clue who you where little sister.” The male stood behind the black leader’s choice to show the female a bit of aggravation with the raise of the hackles. ”Now if your looking for a real pack, tuck your tail and lower your head to him.” The silver male swung his head toward the direction of the black male. ”And if you promise to play nice he just might let you join.” Noah wanted her to come back so that Deuce would not hold the fact that he alone had lost her, after all he was willing to trade his freedom for every member that the black monster and his mindless follows had taken away their freedom from. Though the black male claimed they were able to go up their own free will.

The black male snapped at her, and she gracefully slipped back to her knees, casting her eyes to the ground. The males words made her stiffen, ready to defend Odadio. She didn't speak. Well, she didn't speak until Noah put in his two cents. She lifted her head, her eyes glittering as she stared at the gimp. "Odadio was my mentor, the male who raised me. He gave me knowledge far beyond what that beast, Lucifer had. Lucifer locked me up, tried to come between Mother and myself. Lucifer gave you and Taliesin the cruel streak that led to Taliesin murdering his own daughter. Odadio wouldn't give me up because I was too valuable to his pack."

Her voice had risen as she spoke. She looked at the black leader. "This pack harbors liars, if Noah believes his words are the truth. I know what happened, and still he lies. I apologize for wasting your time, sir." The auburn haired temptress cast a scathing glance at the grey Sawtooth male, then stood, brushing the dirt off of her skirt. She was seething with impotent anger, though she would not start a physical fight. She would yell and scream, but she wouldn't attack.

Zalen didn’t speak when Noah did, though the gray man’s words were harsh and not what Zalen had hoped his pack mate to say. He had hoped instead that the male would have taken the higher road of grace, but it seemed whatever past there was between he, this girl who was his sister, and his mother and father, was too deep and painful for there to be peace now. The girl retorted with her own venom, though she made sure to show physical respect to Zalen.

The Alpha turned his eyes back to the girl, Truth is difficult to define. Like the morning dove it slinks away into the mist. Do not put blame upon Noah for his beliefs, his life is very much different from your own. He as well should not believe you a liar, for your past may dictate a different truth.

Zalen’s posture relaxed then; he knew that all of their actions now were based on pure emotion; there was no reason when it came to the transgressions of the past. He let out a sigh; it seemed that the members of this family could not forgive, or that it took them a very long time to. Zalen wasn’t even sure if Noah and his mother had made up after the fight he had broken up between them. Willow, though rough around the edges, would have made an excellent addition to New Dawn, but Zalen could not rightfully lend her entry if it was to cause such a commotion between his current pack mates.

Zalen shifted on large black paws, I am sorry our first meeting had to be this way, but I cannot speak with you any longer as long as my pack brother is so upset, and you the same way. Take some time to consider what to do now that you know your brother is here, and then seek me out again. In the meantime, Zalen glanced over at his Subordinate, Noah should consider how he feels about your appearance, and discuss it with his mother. I do not know all the details of what has happened in your family, but surely all transgressions can be forgiven, if all parties would just choose to do so.

Then with a flick of his tail the dark male turned, Fair thee well, Willow.
