Oh, why'd you have to be so cute?

Naniko hadn't thought that it would be hard to keep up their end of the deal with Inferni, but she still worried about it. One false move could ruin everything that she and Conri had both worked for, the peaceful land that the Vale members cherished. She personally didn't have a problem with staying away from Inferni...now that she was back to her normal self she was busy doing things around the territory. Working on clearing walkways that would be safe for the younger pack members to traverse, repainting bedrooms and hallways.

But she couldn't vouch for the others. She wanted to make sure that everyone knew what was going on, where their pack stood among the others. This was about their safety, keeping them all in once piece. Glory was a fairy tale told to encourage young wolves off to their doom...and heroes were nothing but a myth any more. In real war, lives were lost. Wolves killed. It couldn't be Twilight Vale. It wouldn't be Twilight Vale.

The luperci sat down on the front steps of the porch, lifting her head to call for her packmates to gather.

Khaden knew enough about the war of the Inferni and Dahlia de Mai from Conri and didn't really know how to fit himself into the equation - in fact, he didn't quite know how the whole Twilight Vale pack fit into that equation. He knew of one Dahlia de Mai packmember, and although he couldn't base a whole pack on one sole member, he knew immediately that if Ember Phoenix represented just a fraction of that pack, he was siding with the wolves on this one. However, Khaden refused to pick sides until he knew the whole story - and at the moment he didn't. So, he continued on with his day as normal, picking along the various walkways he knew his sister-in-law had to have placed for the new flux of members.

But, coincidence would have it, the ebony wolf heard the call. Ears pricked and eyes traveling the way the sounds came from, the Aatte boy knew exactly who it was and had an immediate hypothesis of what the calling could be about and in an instant his feet pushed off against the floor. He ran, as he was so good at doing, heading straight for Haven Manor, where the boy was sure this little gathering was going to be. His form already shifted to his favorite halfling pose, it took him little time to see the silhouette of the mansion, as well as his sister-in-law perched well on the porch. Head dipped in polite gestures he bowed to his leader before getting up and pulling himself on his hind legs to embrace her. "Hello Nani." He grinned happily before settling aside the porch in anticipation to the next events.

The wolf's onyx form darted through the light woods of the pack territory. Her ears were pricked forward, jade eyes focused, tail being used as a rudder to help in tight maneuvers. The girl was hunting, chasing some prey, a hare to be exact. A particularly fast hare. Admittedly it had been a while since Savina had hunted on her own, however the fact that she had yet to catch this rabbit was vexing. Closer, she was getting closer and closer. Muzzle opened in preparation for a snatch, revealing razor sharp fangs. Then just as she was about to pounce the creature dodged to the left and retreated down a hole. The femme's emerald eyes burned in anger as she turned toward the burrow. Charcoal lips lifted in a snarl, her ivory canines a vast contrast to the rest of her being. A deep growl came from her throat as she stared at the rabbit's escape rout.

But then a howl pierced the air, and the Pyxis' slender head swiveled to look in the direction of the mansion. Naniko. It must be a pack meeting. The Italian lady turned to give one last distasteful look at the burrow. She snorted as she turned to run for the house, muttering under her breath. "Next time..."

It didn't take long for the ebony female to reach the large structure that the majority of the pack slept in. Her green orbs spied the white form of Naniko, and another wolf that had her own coloring on the porch. Rolling her ears back gently, Savina trotted up the steps, a smile on her face. "Greetings! I hope I find you both well today." The wolfess went to sit down next to her Andromeda, nuzzling her neck in the usual affectionate manner of their greetings.
OOC:// Word count: 1020 words(I'm sorry I got carried away XD)

IC://
The ebony lady was gleeful, more than gleeful, she was overjoyed, the tall slender fae had been rummaging around in one of the disused rooms early this morning, before the sun had even made an attempt to peek over the horizon, and had come across several cardboard boxes, filled to the brim with heavy, dusty books. Since that early discovery Soran had spent much of the rest of the morning dragging the boxes into her own room, in order to sort out the dusty tomes, see which were water damaged beyond repair and clean the others, with the intention of keeping some for herself and moving the rest down into one of the communal rooms, a library of sorts. This had been a delightful task for the dark lady, who had spent most of her time in the old packlands with a book in her hand and several dozen stashed away in her room at the Syemv house. So to be able to go through all the old texts, to be able to hold a book once again after so many months of living wild and without literature, was a blissful experience, even if she was having to go through them and try and create some sort of order amongst the chaotic system with which they had been tossed into boxes.
About halfway through this task, Soran had come across Alice in Wonderland, an old favourite of hers, a pang of sorrow raced across her chest as she thought of how she had once read her old version of it to Conri when he had been nothing more than a babe, the guilt she felt for having never done that for Khaden and Dhalia was immense. Since discovering that she was once again a mother to two boys who were close to her, she felt it was her duty to make amends, for a moment she wondered if Khaden knew how to read and write, Phasma had taught the jade eyed femme to write one sunny afternoon, she wondered if she had done the same for Khaden and Dhalia when they were in her care. Another pang of pain had shot across her chest at the thought of Phasma, the faithful old friend who had never judged the similarly hued lady, and had even gone as far as to care for the young children that Soran had abandoned, and now she was gone, the jade eyed fae would never get the opportunity to thank her dear friend.
Musing over these thoughts, Khaden, Conri and Phasma, the slender fae had slipped out of the house, the leather bound copy of Alice in wonderland still clutched in her hand. The ebony fae had made her way through the packlands, wandering through the forests, wondering if she would ever find the chance to prove to Khaden that she could, and would be a mother to him, she would care for him the way that she never had done when he had needed her most. The dark lady doubted he would ever need her now, he was grown, so big now, he had gone past the stage where mummy was needed to teach him about the world and kiss the scrapes and bruises better, she had missed her chance. Soran moved to sit against the sturdy trunk of a tall tree, burying herself in her book, immersing herself in something that was familiar, something she knew she could cope with, unlike her present situation, which was still raw and painful to her, she was still unsure about her children's feelings towards her being home, and she had no idea if half of her dear friends were still alive, they could have perished in the fire.
And so Soran sat under the tree, reading rapidly, absorbing every word as fast as possible, behaving as a starving man would with food, devouring it as quickly as she could. Glad to have her old pastime back she had settled herself quite comfortably beside this tree, with the intention of staying there until the light dimmed so much that reading the words scribed on the page became an impossible task. This plan was changed though when she heard the echoing howl of a familiar voice coming from the heart of the packlands. It seemed like a call to a meeting, slowly the fae rose, plucking a leaf from the tree she had been sitting beneath and placing it into the open book, closing the red leather clad tome carefully, using the leaf to keep her page. She left the tree with more haste than she had arrived at it, her casual saunter becoming a near march as she padded the short distance back to the house.
She spotted the source of the voice quickly, and despite all that she had heard of Naniko, despite the fae having hurt Conri so, Soran was still pleased to see her alive and well and living within the lands, she still considered the young lady to be a daughter to her. As she saw them she quickened her pace, stopping only when she was within reaching distance of the group. Unable to control herself she threw her arms around Naniko, embracing her tightly, giving her an affectionate peck on the cheek.
"It's so good to see you Naniko." She smiled, before remembering her position in the pack and releasing the pale lady, dipping her head out of respect. She then turned to the pair with Nani, the pair that looked so like her, both with black pelts and jade eyes, she smiled at the female, dipping her head slightly, again in respect, "Good day," she uttered, before turning to Khaden, still unsure of how to behave around her youngest son, her arms twitched, wanting to embrace him, ruffle his ears, anything, but cowardice and insecurity got the best of her and she simply choked out, "It's also good to see you again Khaden."
Once she had done with her greetings, the dark fae moved to sit down, crossing her legs, placing the book into her lap, awaiting the arrival of the others.
Jazper's dark figure jolted awake from his slumber as he head a howl and released a low groan. 'What time is it?' He thought to himself as he rubbed his head and brushed his bangs to the side. He looked around and fell back on his pillow letting out a louder groan. How long had he been asleep? As his mind started to clear he remembered the events of the night before.

He had gone out for a midnight stroll and started to chase a deer he had spotted in the distance. Next thing he knew a lone wolf had pushed him aside. The deer had gotten away and the older Grey wolf had turned and blamed him. He must have wandered out of the territory because the next thing he knew the male had attacked him, shocked Jazper had to be shaken up a bit before he managed to fight back. He had been in his wolf form luckily, he had never used his Luperci form to hurt anything yet. The rest was a blur, he must have won because the mystery Grey wolf ran off part way through leaving Jazz sore, wounded and limping all the way back home where he went directly to bed after shifting in attempts to see the injuries.

He lay there currently naked as he literally rolled out of bed, not having the will to lift himself up yet. As he hit the floor with a bang he let out his own howl, this one of pain. He swore under his breath and clenched his teeth. Slowly, he lifted himself up off the ground and threw on his beige knee length shorts. He examined himself in the mirror, he was obviously beaten up a bit. He chuckled thinking of what the other guy must look like. He walked out of his room with a slight limp, his left leg had a good bite mark in it and his right arm had been torn up when the wolf had tried to bite at his face, only to receive a mouth full of arm hair. He walked as quick as possible to wash out the teeth marks and the gashes in his arm and leg wincing as he did so. Finally he started down the stairs and opened the door.

There in front of him was the white she wolf, Naniko. He walked around her and whispered, "Sorry, had a long night." He wished that he could have the wounds tended to now but the meeting was first priority. He lowered himself down onto the bottom step of the porch hoping she didn't mind him sitting, due to the circumstances. He looked around hoping to see Lucifer, he wasn't there yet. He looked around him and blinked, was he seeing triple? Three black wolves with emerald eyes were before him. He noted one was Savina and nodded with a smile in her direction. The other two he had not met as of yet. He would have to introduce himself to them later.

Only a few short moments after the call had been sent, Conri emerged from the bedroom, hesitant steps leading him toward the door. He heard the door open and close on more than one occasion, which told him that they were gathering quickly and he needed to get out there. Finally, reaching the front door, he opened it slowly and slipped outside, only to find that quite a few of them had already gathered. A smile laced his features almost immediately, robotic like, and he moved away from the door and toward the edge of the porch, where they were gathered.

Jade eyes were locked on his mother as he moved up beside Naniko, taking a moment to brace himself on the banister in an attempt to seat himself without trouble. Finally, having seating himself at his mate's side, he turned his head just long enough to flash a very faint smile at her. The pain was still there, the thought of what had happened lingering on the edge of his mind, but things were slowly getting better. "Hello everyone." He said then, turning his head back to cast his gaze across all of them, immediately noting that Lucifer had yet to arrive.

The black male hadn't been feeling well for some time now, between his normal border check the leader was in his den resting, he knew his age wasn't pulling him down that much. The male must have had something that would have made him ill. His sleepy eyes batted at the sounds of Naniko's call. He didn't want to go he shut his eyes and nuzzled his muzzle under the pile of fur. The male wanted to sleep, like always. The howl echoed though his room, it was running though his coat, getting under his skin. The male groaned with a cough and sat up, with a sleepy yawn the male stretched. Looking around, it was dark...just how he kept his room. Ever since Deuce left him and left the room, the male really hadn't found a reason why to keep it looking just so, he had offered up a rather nice and larger sized room to Colibri, for her to rest. He made the choice not to sleep in the same room as her, out of respect. Sitting up the male stubbed down the stairs, to the door the sleepy male walked slowly. Coming outside the male seen what seemed like the whole pack just sitting there, but sadly enough no Deuce, nor no Jasper. Deuce hurt because she had raped the one male he had gathered feelings for, and then Jasper hurt because he knew that because he fraught with the idea that he could love another male, like he did a female. Jasper moved on. Looking around the male laid down on one of the steps, with a yawn he put his head down upon his paws.

He sat in the room that he and Sirius had shared before his brother had decided to mosey over to Shadowed Sun. Drapings were pulled across the windows preventing much light from entering, though the white pup still clearly stood out against the dark wooden floors. He sighed when he heard Naniko’s voice, only because he didn’t particularly feel like going to wherever she was. It sounded close, but that didn’t make Apollo any less apathetic towards it.

When the pup finally descended down the stairs and out on the front steps, he found most of Twilight Vale’s wolves gathered around. Instead of offering a greeting, the pup moved away from the front door and reclined onto his bottom on the top step. He looked down the steps to the others, waiting to hear what Naniko had brought them together to say.

She stayed near the borders, even though she was pack now. She was waiting for Deuce to visit her two boys. But the call rang out, and Nella made her way to the meeting place. The house. An interesting enough place. better than sleeping in a tree. But further from the borders. She'd have to weigh her options.

She eyed the pack nervously. It was a rather large pack, it seemed. She hadn't been part of such a large group since the night they'd burned her mother's body. So many years ago. And yet, here she was, waiting to meet everyone. She gave a tentaitve smile, moving quickly to sit near Lucifer, the only one she knew of the group.

Her irish peasant skirt rustled with her movements. Her top was simple nd homespun, a comfortable affair. It was all good. She enojyed her clothng, honestly. She knew most didn't wear clothes, thought it was strange. but she, who had come from Ireland so long ago, didn't find it strange at all. Bi-colored eyes studied the surrounding pack cautiously, nervously.

Kansas had been lying complacently in his room, his four legs stretched to their extremes. He was thinking about what he wanted to do with the room - what colors he wanted for the walls, things like that. The Sadira child had already settled in, he just had yet to paint. Perhaps this was a bit backwards, but he'd figure it out. Besides, thinking about meager things such as room decoration distracted him from the guilt he was experiencing so strongly these days. The... accident?... among he, Lucifer, and Naniko was still fresh in his mind. At least, as fresh as it could be considering he'd been very drunk at the time.

Naniko's voice roused him. He sighed and stood up, wandering out the door and down toward the porch. Conri was seated beside his pretty mate; Kansas swallowed the lump in his throat before slipping into the crowd. The youngster Apollo, Pilot's son, intimidated the cream-coated youth the least. He sat nearest to this boy, still a comfortable distance away, and nodded toward his leaders. As further means to distract himself by, he took to wondering about what was on their minds today.

ooc: Yayyy.

Don't make me change my mind.

She was glad to see Khaden again. The dark wolf looked almost exactly like her father Roman. Naniko had long forgiven the way that her father had left her as a pup, so now all that she tried to remember was the fond memories. She could remember a few things, like playing in the horse barns in Chimera and her mother taking her out and playing hide-and-seek with her, but most of the rest of it was lost. "Hey there, Khaden."

Savina was next to come, and the unshifted wolf gave her a friendly nuzzle in return. She knew that she could count on Savina to come to any and all pack activities; the girl was a bright light amongst the darkness of the war. When Soran came Naniko grinned, nudging her mother in law affectionately. "I'm glad you came"

Then Jazper and Conri. She looked up at him, sitting on the banister, then out toward the group that had gathered. Lucifer came, and then Apollo, going down the stairs between she and Savina to take a spot on the ground. She'd seen Nella around, and gave the dark wolf a smile. There was a mixture of colors present, but black seemed to dominate a little, she noticed. She wasn't sure how they'd ended up with so many darkly colored wolves...Savina, Khaden, Soran, Jazper, Lucifer, and Nella. When she saw Kansas she gave him a grim sort of smile, then continued to look back around at the others. She didn't want to make it seem like she wasn't paying attention to Kansas, but didn't want to focus on him for too long.

"Well...I think everyone who's going to arrive is here. We should start with names, I think, because some of us might not know the others. I hope you all know me, but if you don't...I'm Naniko D'angelo. After the introductions we'll get along to more serious matters."

After he settled down, they seemed to all come by, one by one, until the porch was filled with wolves. First came a black femme, one which Khaden assumed was a great addition to the pack as Naniko greeted her. Soran came next, and Khaden gave her a gentle nod of recognition, still unsure how to treat the relationship this early on. Next another black wolf, this one male and youthful, much like himself.

His brother poked his head out of the house and settled amongst the ranks as well before yet another black male wolf seemed to grace the meeting. Cocking his head just slightly, Khaden watched the four other ebon hued wolves gathered and saw out of the corner of his eyes a starkingly white puppy descend out of the manor. Two more emerged, one black, one white, and Khaden couldn't help but study this phenomenon, knowing that he was definitely one that attributed it.

Nonetheless, he intently listened to Naniko as she spoke, her speech short and clipped and softly demanding the packwide introductions. He shrugged and sat a bit straighter as he awkwardly called the attention on himself. "I'm, uh, Khaden." It was different, yes, but at least this way he can officially know everyone's name and place in the pack.

The darkly hued female watched attentively as the rest of the pack gathered on the porch of the great mansion they all shared. Many of them she had yet to meet properly, so this would be a good opportunity to connect names with faces. At least after this when she saw them in passing she'd be able to say "Hello so and so" instead of just a greeting to a complete stranger. She nodded her head at the female that looked much like an older version of herself, offering a smile in return for hers. The pack scent was light on her fur, yet it was obvious she and Naniko were close friends. Anyone who was friends with the ivory leader was good in her book. Next to join was Jazper, the young male she had seen around the lands, looking a bit worse for the wear.

A red wolf then immerged from the house and seated himself next to Naniko. That must be Conri. It was the first time she had laid eyes on the alpha male. He hid it well, but there was a pained air about him. A pang hit her heart, for she knew at least a couple of the reasons why. The next to join she recognized. The Italian girl had met him on the borders when she helped greet that newcomer. A smile broke across her slender muzzle as Apollo plodded down the stairs, giving the pup a friendly wink. Another jet colored luperci joined, and finally a cream pelted male. Quite the group, she had to admit, and couldn't help but laugh inside her head at the amount of wolves with her coloring present.

Head turned to Naniko as she began to start the meeting, introducing herself and saying they should all do the same. Savina grinned at the young male who said his name next. It was an awkward way to introduce one's self, but it was endearing. Then the sable girl realized it was her turn. "Greetings all. I'm Savina Marino. Honored to make your acquaintance." Her Italian toned voice was warm and light. The femme dipped her head and smiled at all present.

He watched as more wolves appeared: Conri, his father, brother and two wolves he had never seen before. How is it that someone can live in a pack since it was created and yet not know everyone? The thought clung to his mind until he white leader spoke, "Well...I think everyone who's going to arrive is here. We should start with names, I think, because some of us might not know the others. I hope you all know me, but if you don't...I'm Naniko D'angelo. After the introductions we'll get along to more serious matters." He listened turning at watching as two black wolves introduced themselves. The first wolf seemed awkward around the group as he quickly introduced himself. "I'm, uh, Khaden." ' Well that was graceful" He thought to himself almost feeling sorry for the apparently shyer male.

As the silence after the introduction took place he lifted his aching body and moved over towards his father taking a seat beside him. His amber eyes watched him, he seemed to be feeling ill. The black male lifted his good arm and placed his hand on his shoulder wishing he could speak to him. After Khaden, Savina introduced herself. As she spoke Jazper shifted awkwardly. She seemed to sure of herself. Suddenly he realized, it was his turn. He looked around, removed his good arm form his father's shoulder and flashed a friendly and open smile, "I'm Jazper Rhiannon. It's good to meet you all." By 'you all' he meant those he had not previously met. He happened to know at least half the pack members present and wondered who was missing. He thought about what the other Twilight Valer's thought of him with one arm obviously freshly bitten open and just barely starting to heal around the edges, with the opposite leg scratched up and still bloody. He refused to stop smiling still, keeping a calm and happy aura around him, even though he wished he could curse.

The male lifted his head looking over at the last few that was the trickling in. There was Apollo the white boy, that he loved just like one of his own, well Deuce and him had taken him and his brother in after there mother hasty leave during the fire. Then there was the black lady, a family member of Deuce. She was a sweet girl maybe to sweet to last in these lands, there was a shadow coming over the lands, and where would be a test, would she make it? Would he even make it? Only time would really say now wouldn't it?

The male stretched out on the stairs, it was clear that there was going to be room for him to stretch out. His eye shifted around watching Conri, hording over his prized mate. She didn't seemed to mind either, who but why should she? Time after time he made it clear to her, that his life was nothing as long as she was happy. Oh how nice it would be to have that storybook love. Then there was the other one...that was involved in that nights actions. The male started to chew on his inner lip as he looked around, thinking about things, just thinking. Then she spoke...the black male head peaked up looking at her, she spoke her name then it was like a touch had been passed, the black male spoke next, one of Soran's childern. Son of Hollow Nothing, whom was killed by Conri. Then there was Savina, ahh such a sweet little girl. In hopes she would find some one, and they would grow a nice little family in these lands, and the male would make sure that she would remain safe. Then...there was Jazper, his son. He was the pride of the older male, he was growing up quite well. Though it didn't seem like that long ago when he joined the family. Then it was him, all eyes where on him. He smiled as he spoke up, washing away any worry that he would or could have. Washing away any though but happiness to see the pack together.:Hello. As most if not all of you know I'm Lucifer. Nice to see you all here."

Sorry this is short/crappy. Posting from my Sidekick. No table either.

Apollo looked disinterestedly over to the cream colored pup whom had sat down near him on the top step of the front stairs. He looked down the concrete steps to the gathering of wolves, catching the smile that Savina flashed in his direction and he returned it. She had been helping him in sharpening his Italian - the one foreign language the youth had taken a liking to.

When the group began going around and introducing themselves, Apollo only half payed attention. He let his gaze drift away and the names floated into one ear and out the other without so much as a second thought. When there was silence and he could feel eye upon him, Apollo looked back to the group to discover it was his turn. "Oh. Apollo Haddon." He glanced towards Kansas again, studying the boy's matching blue eyes in comparison to his own blue and yellow split eye, before turning away and staring off into space once more.

((Sorry! Don't skip me yet!))

Nella fidgited uncertainly as each wolf intorduced themselves. Then it was her turn. Being the daughter of a famous baird, she was no stranger to gatherings. but it had been two years since she was with this many wolves. She brushed a stand of hair out of her eyes, and smiled. In a quiet voice, but one that carried well, she spoke. "My name's Nella Fantasia. I come from Ireland."

Not that her accent didn;t give that away the moment she spoke. Sweet and lilting, the lands of Eire had never left her voice, and never would.

Naniko didn't look at him, and he hadn't expected her too. Besides, he didn't know what he'd do if she did turn her gaze his way for very long. She invited everyone to introduce themselves: First, a dark youth he'd seen a few times before told them his name was Khaden. The beautiful gir who next spoke her name caught his attention - she had such a sweet voice. He shook his head a little - she had finished, and he politely listened as the other wolves gave their names. When Lucifer spoke, he watched like he had everyone else, but Kansas felt a little more unsettled.

Apollo had glanced his way - The Sadira nearly missed it. He wondered if the child would be as much of a character as was his father. Apollo had inherited Pilot's snowy coat, and they looked very similar save for the eyes. Kansas had never seen anything like them. He turned away, again not wanting to be distracted. At last, after a lovely young female with a lilted voice introduced herself as Nella, the creamy male offered his own name. I'm Kansas Sadira. It's... great to meet everyone

Tongue Let's just go with one more post, and then we'll be done?

She wanted to make sure that they all knew of the threat and how to react if a coyote did come to the territory. They would need to tell Naniko, Lucifer, or Conri and let them handle it. The female would probably go out and remind the coyote of their treaty with Inferni, that none of the clan was to be around or near the Twilight Vale borders, and then go and tell Gabriel about it. It was tattle-tailing, maybe, but Twilight Vale would survive in the end...they'd get through this stupid war.

"Now that we all know each other...I wanted to make something clear to everyone. Twilight Vale has made a treaty, of sorts, with Inferni. None of you are to get involved in this war that they've got going on with Dahlia de Mai. It doesn't involve us, whoever's right and whoever's wrong...and none of us should go off and risk our lives because of Haku. He started this himself, brought it onto his pack himself...but he's not going to bring it to this pack. If you see an Inferni member near our borders, do not attack it. They shouldn't even be here...but this is just in case. If you find one, come and get either me, Conri, or Lucifer...and we'll take care of it." She did want to hear opinions on the topic...but at the same time, she wanted to make sure that they knew that this decision had already been made. "This is for the safety of the pack. I expect each and every one of you to follow it...to keep you all safe."

Names came and went, and as much as he wanted to memorize each and every one of those names, it was a little bit more difficult than he truly anticipated. Between faces that he knew, and faces that he did not (which seemed to be the majority), Khaden watched as each wolf around their circle deemed their presence. It seemed shortly after Kansas made his introduction that Naniko launched into what was well expected - the war.

Khaden had personally seen what the war did - seeing Ember with her shoulder tore up - and didn't quite know the story behind it. All he knew was that Naniko seemed to be patching up anyone and anything that was the result of it. She talked about the dire consequences of it, about what to do when encountering an Inferni. He nodded his understanding to Naniko, to Lucifer, to Conri, showing his obedience to pack matters and the whatnot.
