Adelle was growing quickly. Already she was larger than most full grown coyotes, and as large as a small wolf. Yet to reach her full height, Adelle's body had grown way beyond her. She was constantly hungry, always eating as the growth shot around her. The thick fur disguised how thin she had grown, unable to keep any fat on as she continued to stretch, muscles lining underneath. Everyday the pup was running around, fighting and playing and exploring. It wouldn't be long before she would be old enough to shift, and the thought filled her with excitement.

There was one very important thing that needed to happen first though. Adelle wanted to be a warrior, and while she might not be able to fight on two legs like Grandpa just yet, she could fight on four. In the courtyard Adelle viciously attacked a pile of precariously stacked items. The emptied supplies, yet to be sorted through for storage, had become an opponent worthy of respect, items occasionally hurtling down to strike her. Growling Adelle threw herself into it, managing to knock it down before bouncing out of the way of the falling stuff, barking with triumph.

Fritz had his conversation with Selene on his mind. Well, it was more like he had her on his mind. He knew that she still liked Hadley but that didn’t stop him from caring for her. Fritz was torn between wanting her to be back with Hadley so she wouldn’t be hurt and being single so he had a chance with her. Of course, the biggest thing that he wanted was for her to be happy, no matter who she was with.

He had been in his room a lot but was starting to get extremely restless. So he went outside to get some fresh air and to stretch his long legs. Maybe he could find someone to spar with. It would help keep his mind off of her, at least for a while. He was pretty sure that he wouldn’t be able to but right now, as far as he knew, she was a taken female. She and Hadley weren’t mates but she still loved him.

As soon as was outside and in the courtyard, he heard a crash and he went to find the source. It was Adelle playing, or rather attacking, a bunch of hopefully empty supplies. Of course nothing had fallen on her nor was she hurt. So he stood back and watched her play fight with a rather amused smile on his face.

The adversary had fallen! Adelle bounded back forward from where she'd scurried to dodge the falling pile, stepping back amongst the empty supplies. Her tail curled up, brightly held high. She had won! Proudly she weaved her way through, knocking the occasional item out of the way as she reached the center. Standing over it all Adelle surveyed the land that she had reclaimed in the name of her pack, ready to take on any who would challenge her.

Her gaze reached a set of paws, bringing a pause from the pup. Her gaze lifted up, noting the splotches of black on the right fur. He was tall. Her eyes finally settled on a green pair, tail wagging. It was the dog she'd played with! He'd helped her do tackling. That was fun. Barking she bounded over to him, leaping up and pawing at him. Hi! Tackle! Adelle spun around, darting back to the fallen supplies. See?
