You were right, we never really gave a damn
We spent our lives, running through the wasteland

Word Count → 442 :: Their camp is located on the end of Halifax, near ara' Revenge :3

The feel of heated metal against her back was uncomfortable, but the midnight girl neither had the motivation or intention to move from the roof of the car, instead she settled for rolling onto her right side, running her palm across the rusty relic of human civilization. A few paces away should could see Hael diligently attempting to cook some rabbits he had managed to catch, attempt being the key word for the male was just as clueless as her in the art of cooking and food preparation and more often then not what was served as dinner was undercooked, over seasoned and just plain nasty. Not that she'd complain, for she'd rather the brindle hybrid do the tedious task then have to try her hand at herself. Swinging her legs over the edge, she cradled her left arm on her lap and placed her right behind her to keep herself propped up. “Haaaelll. How long till it's cooked, ya trying to starve me or something?” she moaned, her stomach growling towards the end of the sentence to conveniently emphasise her point.

In return to her petty complain, she got a sigh and an eye roll for the hybrid, getting treated like the pup she was behaving like. Grumbling under her breath about men and their incapacity to do anything aside from impregnate girls and look good, she swung her legs slightly, bashing them against the car door beneath her. Hopping out from the interior of the car, Omi clambered upon onto the cars roof, meowing a string of complaints in perfect imitation of her owners typical behaviour before jumping free of the car and going about the task of intertwining herself around Hael's legs. Again her stomach rumbled, but instead of complaining again she settled for falling back against the car roof, once more careful of her broken arm.

ooc: I'm just establishing where she is now. By the next post she'll wander in

What began as one defined territory soon melded into an endless road stretching from the confines of the Wentworth to the more human-remnant lands of the dilapidated civilization. As the perused the grounds, standing rarely upon her two defined legs, she came to notice the lingering metal structures more prominently. Literally the tips of her paws curled with each step and the further she strode away from the lush ground the more chilling the icy touch of disease became.

She hadn’t noticed til she was too deep to turn back the path she had taken, or where it led. What mattered was the exploration, to take back some useful knowledge of the terrain to share with the small family left in the woodland. But surely they would not find these grounds appealing! They were littered with human-like remains! How could one find peace in a land of decay, staring upon what lingered of the ill fated sentiments before them? But she was too deep within the unknown terrain to turn back without seeing an end to its road. What she could recall of this like path before was of a burdening exchange upon the heart of the she-wolf and the little form of bliss she had had for too short a time. It would not have surprised her if her length of time upon these cursed grounds brought her nothing more than dismay.

A fool she was for not watching her steps.

Perhaps she could forgo her personal desire and turn back while there was still an opportunity… There was still enough natural ground to lure her back and place this venture on paused. But her Nomad heart was easily swayed by the urge to know what she did not. When her nose first smelled only the greens of the earth and the decay of metal, she came across the scent of meat and was baffled by the unusual taint to it. It was not unappealing to her nose… but more appetizing with an aroma that made her maw salivate on reflex. She had not noticed her own hunger until her stomach began to growl, ordering that she investigate and find what made such a delectable scent.

Word Count → 390 :: They are still messing around by the car/fire camp of theirs

“Hael. Hael. Haaaeeel. Food” she groaned, projecting her voice louder then before but not really expecting a response from a male; heck, she was surprised that he'd bothered to retaliate to her complaints with a loud sigh this time. Mimicking his sigh she relaxed onto the dented metal roof of the human relic, not really trusting it to support her wait considering how rusted and a wreck it was, but overall she couldn't bring herself to care about such trivial details for more then a moment, vibrant green hue eyes stared idly up into the sky, watching it spin in a almost hypnotic manner, the clouds moving and re-shaping themselves. To kill time she tried picturing shapes within the clouds, in an abstract manner she quickly picked out a tree, a flower and a horse's hoof. Moving onto her next shape she was debating whether it was more of a horse's bottom or a three leafed clover gone wrong, not that it remotely looked as such to others, but within the girls mind she often viewed things strangely from her own artistic view.

“Right, ya can stop the stomach growling now. I think it's cooked” Hael's words called out, pulling her away from her cloud mind art. Easing herself up into a seated position, she jumped off the roof making sure to fall free from the car and it's surrounding rubble, practically running the few steps over to the fire and throwing herself onto the ground, folding her legs neatly to the side of her she looked up to Hael expectantly who handed her a funny coloured fish on one of the carved sticks the hound had prepared for them. Not that the fish had initially been strangely coloured, no, the dark black-brown colour scheme was new and a direct result of the brindle hybrids cooking. Hesitantly she brought the fish up her mouth and gave it an experimental sniff before reluctantly tearing a small bit off it off; promptly spitting it back out and looking over to Hael, who's face was full of pain as the hybrid forced himself to eat his own cooking, unwilling to admit to his failure.

Throwing the fish on the fire, she flopped down onto her back upon the dirt, “Shoulda had it raw, you're cooking is something else. Something else I tell ya.”

ooc:

Creeping was unbecoming of one of her stature, but she found herself doing it effortlessly as she followed the delicious aroma to its source. A whining voice drew her ears forward and strangely did not detour her from her prowl, it only compelled her further. The woman's curiosity was peaked, eager to assess whom and what made this scent that made her stomach growl and maw salivate. She had become not an articulate and polished wolf, but a hungry beast in an instant... and a shameless one at that.

Forgoing her own prior discomfort toward the remnants of the dead culture, she proceeded onward, ignoring the awful tinge of rust in her flared nostrils to favor the aroma that hung pleasantly in the air. And as it grew stronger and the comical voice of a female ahead became more pronounced, the she-wolf announced herself with a low growl, seeking admittance to this private engagement...
