OOC goes here for all your OOC needs

Hadley couldn't deny the powerful attraction he felt for the female that had swept into his life. It seemed dangerous, having divided him from the one that he loved with all his heart, but here he was, living each moment wrapped around her. He spent almost every waking moment making love to her, assuring her that his love was not false, even if it really was. Unfortunately, Isa could not keep up with him. The halls were thick with his scent now, a patrolled border keeping Isa safe from other males that might decide to check in on her. Meals were grabbed as well, usually from storage but the occasional fresh meal was brought in as well.

Isa was dead asleep, as neither had gotten any sleep last night. The poor guy was still wired though, so he decided to head out and do some work on the house that Isa loved so much. He was sure she'd appreciate that. He'd show it to her afterwards. He gathered his tools up, a hammer, nails, a hatchet, even a small saw that he'd managed to locate. That would be enough. Making sure that Isa was comfortable, leaving a snack and a small note explaining where he had gone Hadley headed out.

It wasn't long before the house came into view. He surveyed it carefully, noting the work that would have to be done. A busted window he'd broken in through, stair railings would need to be replaced, Hadley would double check the steps. The door had a rough replacement, but Hadley would need to go over that as well. Moving through Hadley gently tested each piece of wood. Rotten pieces were torn out, leaving gaps that he couldn't forget about. It took time, leaving sections of the house with large holes in it.

He didn't stop there. Hadley moved up to the room that had been destroyed. Wooden pieces that had survived Isa's tantrum were selected. Carefully he smoothed the edges with a small blade, fitting each one. Moving down he patched the walls back up, smoothing it over and using the nails that he had brought with him to fasten it together. It was tedious work, moving through and making sure each piece fit in properly. Hadley quickly ran out of the wood that he'd been using, forced to switch over and start gathering from the other buildings that were nearby.

The scarred male took a break after that. He might have lots of stamina, but even he had to slow down after that. Sitting outside he looked it over. The house looked better than it had before. That was good. Curling up he fell asleep, catching up on his energy. His dreams were full of sawdust, spinning through the house. Isa's joy at seeing it captured him, as well as the tears that wrecked his heart. How could he choose? Waking up Hadley looked back over at the house. It was dark now, but the hybrid still had a ways to go before he would be finished, and the dream had him motivated to pick up the pace, use the work to push everything away.

Moving through the town Hadley searched for a door. Some were in good condition, but several were broken down. He discarded several before settling down on a plain wooden door. Detaching it from the building it came from Hadley carried it back over to the house. It took him some time to figure out how the hinges worked, fiddling around and having a couple missteps. The door was up though, giving her privacy for when she was inside. Whistling softly Hadley walked around the house, clearing out the broken glass that was there and throwing it away.

One window frame had to be completely refitted, a project in itself. Hadley regretted breaking that now. It hadn't been a very good idea. At least he knew how to do this part. It was simple to make the frame, fitting it together. Another brief break was taken, Hadley running out into the woods to get some food. A rabbit was caught and quickly scarfed down before his return. It was beginning to look better and better. Would Isa still recognize it? Would she be angry that he had changed it?

He couldn't stop now. Moving through the house Hadley worked on the stair railing. This was a difficult slow piece to do. Each pole was carefully fitted to the best of his ability. It was a bit uneven at parts, but he managed to join the poles into the stairs. A small series of nailed wooden pieces formed the bannister, if crooked in nature. Hadley leaned against it, testing to make sure that it would support his weight. Good. It wasn't pretty, but at least it would support those that used it.

His last piece of work was perhaps the most simple. Hadley simply moved through the house, clearing out all the broken pieces of furniture. Broken chairs were chucked out, as well as anything that fell under the category of useless. A lamp was examined, and deciding that he liked the design Hadley stepped out, mimicking the design on the lamp. A large carving formed, swirls and twists revealing themselves. At times the work was bumpy, showing his inexperience, but his hand always steadied, returning to it's work.

Climbing back up to the room Hadley sighed with exhaustion. Much had been moved around and thrown out. A bed had been found in there, and he'd moved it back into the room, by the window he'd repaired. The blankets had been rotted, but he'd found a couple that were still good in a closet. Climbing under the bed Hadley closed his eyes and fell into a deep dreamless sleep. The house was complete. More could be added, but the actual repairs were covered. A small smile rested on his lips as he drifted off.
