They had been planning this for over the cast of the past moon and now it seemed that they'd finally been able to bring their plans into play. Firefly turned to the packmates to the left and right and quietly studied them as she moved softly through the darkness towards the border of the clan's lands. The strong scent of their anger and cruel ways seemed to penatrate her senses and cause the strong willed female to bare her fangs. She'd never believed that coyotes in themselves were dangerous or cruel, but the power of the clan was based off hate and fury towards the wolves, bred into their very being from the start the whole mass of members was like an ant's nest. Take out the heart and the swarm would turn into a army of chaos, nothing to lead them and nowhere to go. Her emerald eyes sparkled darkly as she stretched out her long legs as they slowed down near the outskirts of the clan's claim.

Her eyes worked on as they quit moving, taking in each of the members of their scouting party as she felt a small chill flicker down her spine. Here today they would either prove something or go down fighting yet with the clan not knowing that they were on their way to crash the party she felt that they had the ace. Her tail softly laced back and forth across her hindlegs as she watched the excitement begin to show on some of the other members, the leader of the raid though seemed dark and collected, the way he always was before the madness seemed to rain down. The knowledge she held of the male made her want him more, knowing what was going to happen once hell broke lose and what would await her upon their return to Dahlia de Mai.

OOC: *bats her customers away with brooms so she can FINALLY post something*

[html]
She stood amongst her packmates at the ready. No light shone to illuminate the border of the Inferni clan as the members of Dahlia de Mai gathered. Kol was young, but the Stormbringer understood the ways of war well enough. Her movements were swift and silent as she stalked with the pack in her secui form, still retaining the overall agility and grace her body posessed, while adding a bit more power than her lupine form granted. The ebony shewolf flexed her left shoulder, the scars finally past the stage of reopening, and she silently thanked the Packmother that there was no stiffness nor pain this night. Kol would need all of her strength and skill for the skirmish ahead.

The girl's left ear flicked suddenly as something snapped in the brush near the group, her head swinging around to lock her violet eyes on whatever had caused the upset, but she turned her head away again when she took note of the fox scampering away. As she turned to face their target again, Kol's gaze caught the emerald of Firefly's, and she nodded determinedly at her. Wars couldn't go on forever, and the one between the coyotes of Inferni and the Dahlian wolves needed to end before anymore lives were affected. Kol could be as violent as anyone when the need arose, and had the darkness in her that allowed her to take pleasure in the blood letting, but that didn't mean she agreed with the senselessness of violence just for the hell of it. That was exactly how it appeared this conflict had arisen, with the irritatingly pointless attack on a pregnant member of Dahlia, resulting in the loss of her children. The hatred and violence had spiraled from there, Kol had learned, and someone needed to put an end to it. That someone was the entire group gathered here tonight; too small for an all-out battle, they were nevertheless just large enough to carry out a shadowy infiltration. The Stormbringer could only hope things went as planned.

She'd been here before. Not at this particular place, but the state of mind. She'd joined the scouting party of numerous reasons. Her brother, for one; she'd prove to him once and for all that she was not nearly as pathetic as he seemed to think she was. Her eyes landed on the oh so "glorious" miss that he adored so much. Looked like a wild child, to Mew, eager to throw herself into battle, most likely not really understanding properly. What did the people in this party know of war? Mew herself had not participated in a war per se, but she'd been on many a raid, many a planned group attack. She'd fought so many times before, but clearly not everyone in this party had.
The young black one seemed nervous. What was this? A bunch of kids to come and raid Inferni? She'd thought her brother knew better. He would understand soon enough that she was not a weakling, and perhaps.. just perhaps, she might run into Asphyxia. The damned bitch would regret her own birth, and she'd understand who was superior in this world. Coyotes were filth, and Mew would make them understand that once and for all. The thought of it made her being churn and boil, and that same rage rose within her. The rage she had worked so hard to suppress ever since the incident, might run out of control once she laid eyes on any person of their mentally challenged species. Tonight she might turn into chaos.

Alexey felt like a hypocrite. A few days earlier, she had reprimanded Adelaida for picking a fight with a coyote from Esper Hollow. And now, here she was, waging war against a whole clan. Did she even have a choice? The two-year-old had responsibilities now that she was a Dahlian, and one of them was to protect her friends from danger. The Filix remained furthest behind, warm honey-colored eyes surveilling the two youngsters in front of her. In a way, she admired them. They walked with pride, heads held high with confidence and devout loyalty. Fighting definitely wasn't her forte, but she felt responsible for their safety; especially Kol's. She had grown beyond attached to the Stormbringer femme, thus taking it upon herself to keep her from harm's way.

The troop eventually stopped moving forward and Lexey swallowed hard, as if suddenly understanding what was about to happen. This would be her first time fighting in a war and she hoped to be worthy enough. The Kiois female had made a promise to Haku that day, and she was planning to keep that promise regardless of this fight's outcome. She would defend Dahlia de Mai's honor with all her might. Smiling as confidently as she could, Alexey took one more step forward. There was no doubt about it: tonight they would make a name for themselves. Inferni was going to bleed.

It seemed the whole group seemed to be studying eachother, watching and waiting for their cue. Firefly ignored the cool eyes of the other as she turned away from watching her packmates. She wasn't for certain how things between Haku and her even stood anymore, but she pushed those thoughts away as a prickle of doubt seemed to try and edge in under her skin. She didn't have the time or the energy to even be bothered by her own personal issues at the moment, she was here on a mission with the other scouts from their pack.

The scent of Haku kept drifting over her as she turned her emerald orbs to stare at the two coyotes who were sulking along their borders. It was more thna obvious that the two wanted nothing more to do with their time than to play games and bicker back and forth, having no knowledge of the ambush that waited just outside their borders for them to come a little closer to the edge. She bared her fangs slightly as her eyes danced with excitement, she tried not to let it show but it was obvious that she was more than ready for the clash that would take place.

Her wounds had healed over the past few days and she was feeling more herself than ever, except for slight memories of the fight that Haku and her had got into after he'd picked up her battered and bruised body from the shores near her mother's homelands. She closed her eyes for a moment, still angry at the second in command for snapping at her for the things she'd done when she knew well enough that he had been less than faithful, atleast the scents that clung to his pelt from time to time made her believe that, right or wrong she didn't care. How was she suppose to know what their relationship was exactly when no one ever had actually spoke. She couldn't read his mind. She gave up and opened her eyes again with a soft snarl as she heard the soft words issued.

With a sudden launch of strength she pulled away from the group, moving swift and low through the brush as she headed towards the two patroling their lands. She burst from between a small pair of stunned bushes as she lunged for the larger of the two. Barreling into the male she knocked his feet out from under him and her fangs snapped at his exposed throat. He was barely able to recover into time to save his life, though her fangs still drove in deep, scraping along his collarbone as blood welled into her maw. The excitement of the hunt flowed through her body as the raid began.

No need to edit your post! Big Grin Anyways, I assume the two coyotes are npcs?
edit; crap.. this is haku.

He was empty. The wolves by his side had chosen to participate. They wanted war, they would have war. This was it, after this he would turn out and get whipped by the invisible force that he had given himself into. They all deserved to die. The chocolate coated male was in his 'travel form'. Faster than both official forms and stronger than plain form. Ideal for such trips such as these. The Lilium could feel his heart pound against his chest. Excitement danced in every drop of blood that inhabited him. His sky-blue eyes were fogged with a storm.

The brute had enough frustration to lash out against the world, and today he would let it go. The group of Dahlia de Mai wolves stood there a few seconds more in silence, watching two patrols by the borders. Haku barked. The signal had been given, and he raced alongside Firefly. The female had been on her feet almost before he had given the final go. Even though merely the sight of her made him boil, he loved the passion and death that resided in the young body.

Seemingly he was running at the same coyote as Firefly, but as his pack member jumped one of them, Haku instantly changed his direction and collided into the remaining canine. Their jaws met in the crash, but gravity was in his favor, and the wolf's claws dug into the coyote's flash as it was slammed against the ground with Haku all over it, fangs snapping after flesh, claws tearing as good as they could.

I don't know who all is joining, so I'll PM Firefly or Haku's account when we are ready.

indent It had been a quiet evening; Gabriel and Anselm had been relaxing and discussing the strange, coyote led pack to their south. Two of their newer members had taken up the borders, leaving the leaders to spend one night off, for the first time in what felt like forever. That was right up until Abraxas came bursting into the cave, eyes wide and hair all on end. Wolves! Five of them—led by a brown male, at the southeast border. Instantly, the two cousins were on their feet. Anselm barked an order at the fox and Gabriel hurriedly made the change to his secui form. Over four feet tall, like a small bear, Gabriel was a beast consumed.
indent He moved with holy purpose, hair rising in a red-black flame all along his back. The speed was remarkable, but Anselm never left his side. Blood overwhelmed his senses and he realized that they had struck first. Wonderful. This would leave no questions about who had started this idiotic skirmish. Like thunder over the plains, Gabriel rushed forward, a whirlwind of muscle and fur, and slammed into Haku. His fangs were flashing as he struck, aiming for the face, the chest, anything. He’d kill the demon where he stood if that was what it took.

YAY 100th post fo' me. (=

You are the weapon I choose.

Asphyxia was there walking the borders like usual and as everything started, Gabriel hitting Haku, she was furious. All these thoughts about not fighting anymore and talking to Skoll and Laurel. Laurel was right of course, there was never going to ever be peace in their life time. Rage and everything overcame her, this was it and she was going to go full force into any fight she had tonight. They were going to make Daliah de Mai weep and wish they never attacked, running back under their rocks with more than just scrapes and bruises, only more or so limbs missing and eyes gouged out.

Looking around before she got into the scuffle, she spotted one familiar white wolf, one that she had taken children from and this time she was planning on taking her life as well. Full force, she rammed right into Mew, teeth sinking into wherever she could get them, claws striking where ever she could get them. This time she didn't want Mew to get away, it was the last thing she wanted. She wanted Haku to wish he never did what he did to Asphyxia.

Of course, that night she had been just as restless as the other nights. Without Stygian at her side, slept had lost its appeal, and all she wanted was to curl up with her black tipped lover, head buried so tightly into his fur that she couldn't see anything else. Call her crazy, but the children were welcome to curl up to her, but not him. He belonged to her, and her alone. She had left the babies sleeping, knowing they wouldn't wake until she woke them the next morning, and took a walk across the lands, thinking of visiting Gabriel. What she discovered on her way though, changed her plans immediately.

Oh, those stupid stupid beasts! Gabriel already had one he was mauling, and another female had already taken one as her plaything. Ahemait didn't know who exactly to pick, and rather took a few precious moments while she was still far enough away from the scuffle to not be known yet to shift. Looking more and more like Kaena in this form, her fur had shifted to a slightly grey color, rather than the brilliant gold of normal, her hair came in dark and long, as Kaena's had been. If any of those wolves had ever seen her mother, the chances they would mistake the two was great. Only thing that was missing was Kaena's myriad of scars.

Now shifted, it was evident that her body was well toned, giving her almost an Amazonian quality. She had a brilliant madness to her, and as she launched herself into the fray, intent on taking down the one who had been farthest behind, no doubt scared and only doing it to fufuill some promise she had given her clan. Maybe she was the smart one, to not want to be here. Not that it mattered to Ahemait one bit, she came in with claws baring, the intent to hurt had ebbed away. She wanted to kill.

Days off always made him uneasy, and this whole event was bound to make him avoid future vacations all together. Go figure--every time they let new comers handle the borders, they wound up dead. This time, though, things were a little different. This wasn't some chance encounter of one wolf going berserk on an innocent mother and her kid--this was a full out assault. He quickly told Abraxas to stay clear, but to go find other recruits.
For most of their mad dash Anselm remained un-shifted, saving his energy, but as they moved his body began to swell in size, especially as they approached their destination. He practised these transformations regularly for this reason alone--score one more point for paranoia. By the time he could see them ahead, he completed the shift completely. He continued on four legs, however--hunched over and full of fury. Gabriel had gotten ahead of him at this last leg, and he watched as his cousin collided with the only male in the group.
In frenzies like these, he singled out nobody and went for everybody. While Gabriel was busy distracting Haku, he saw his opportunity for a cheap shot and took a swipe at the fucker's side with his claws. Before he even had a chance to see whether or not any damage had been done, he kept running. Turning about quickly, he then trained himself on whoever exactly smelled like blood: whoever was obviously guilty. Firefly. Barrelling towards her, he shouldered anybody who was in his way and leapt at her, teeth flashing and autopilot fully activated.

The road had led him north, and up along the trail that led towards Inferni. Ahren’s weeks of absence had gone unnoticed, and he had intended to head back to the Dampwoods as if nothing had happened. He had a run-down army back on his back and newly-acquired cargo shorts. With the eye patch hiding his bad eye, his night sight was improved immensely. As he drew closer to the clan, the sound of battle reached his ears. Everything fell down into a quiet resonance, and he slipped into the cold, calculating killer he had become.
Ahren moved with remarkable speed, and soon scaled a nearby tree. He looped the bag onto a nearby branch, then quickly set the crossbow up. From here, he had a clear shot. The blonde took several moments to aim, and then gave the trigger the one ounce of pressure it would need to strike—he had taken aim at the lighter, as of yet unengaged tan wolf.

She had been tuned into it all, the moment the first coyote seemed to come over the stretch and crashed into their party she raised her emerald eyes up from the wounded beast she'd first rushed upon. Her fangs were bared as she watched for a split second as the others from their scouting seemed to fling themselves upon the not so innocent coyotes of the bloodthirsty clan. She ripped her fangs back into the beast she'd already wounded, leaping out of the way of his fangs and scoring her claws down his side as they crashed and came apart.

The sting of his fangs in her fur she barely felt as they grazed her, yet it was nothing but a scratch. She was about to run the weakening male down as she heard the yelps and snarls of motion through the ranks as a dark mass came crashing towards her. She knew she'd been singled out, now not when she had first blood upon her lips. Skirting around the injured male she kept the beast between her and the barreling beast. Her eyes afire as she lunged at the pathedic soul, letting the creature of the night watch as his clanmate died by her fangs. She knew he'd be upon her, but atleast his fury had actual reason for it. Inferni had always hated the outsiders, now there was reason to.

Went for Kol since she appeared to be the only one not being attacked, harr.

He followed the summons, but arrived late. What an inopportune time to attack; he was late, late for a fight, and missing all the action. He ran, shifting into his Secui form as he moved, cursing loudly as pain shot through his legs and back. He probably should have stopped and waited before shifting. He probably should have paused to catch his breath. But he couldn't stop- he felt so alive, the surge of blood in his veins, and the prickle where he landed awkwardly, causing one of his bones to break his skin before moving into its new position. He could feel himself breathing, living, running.

And he would use this to to kill them. Break the wolves and tear them apart.

He didn't stop when he saw the chaos; he simply kept running, throwing himself right into the centre of the action. He heard the sound of an arrow zip through the air, chuckling quietly. He dodged around the already engaged wolves and coyotes, aiming for a dark, black wolf with violet eyes the colour of innocence. He would rip them out and devour them, savouring the meal as she screamed.

He attacked from the side, using the bodies of another wolf and coyote as cover, turning sharply and then launching himself at the female. He attacked from the side, propelling himself forward using the momentum he had built up from running, aiming to grasp her neck between his teeth and her eyes and back with his claws.

OOC: Sonia, I hope the powerplay is alright? I was dead set on attacking Ahemait before Tammi set her beast on me. XDDDD If you want it changed love, just let me know! And Tammi...what is it with our characters fighting at their first encounters? *snickers* And AGAIN it looks like you're giving my girl permanent facial scars. WTF MATE? >=D

[html]
It was chaos. The entire scene erupted in short order as one after the other the Inferni clan came speeding toward them. It wasn't the entirety of the group, Kol noted, but it was enough that each Dahlian had someone to occupy them. Each Dahlian, that was, except for Kol herself. Scanning each of the canids as they raced toward the fray, the Stormbringer locked her sights on a shifted female headed straight for Lexey. Kol's friend was more than likely the most vulnerable of the entire assembly, and the black female let out a battlecry as she plowed toward the attacking bitch, aiming to cut her off from the grey girl and refocus her attention on someone more her size. Her muscled body slammed full force into the coyote femme, and she slashed her claws out as she tumbled to the ground, regaining her feet quickly as she flashed her fangs toward her opponent.

Fate, however, had other plans. As she readied her next move, a flicker of movement caught the corner of her left eye, and Kol had only enough time to brace herself as a scruffy male collided with her. She snarled loudly as his fangs sank into the thick skin of her neck, his claws raking down her back and the left side of her face, missing gouging out her eye by a hairsbreadth as one claw split her eyelid as she shut it tight. Blood coated her enemy's claws as she twisted sideways, fangs snapping viciously as she went for any part of the canine she could reach. Her left claws came around the front of her to try and grab the male in an attempt to fling him off her, and she forced herself not to worry about Alexey as she fought her own battle, her hackles prickling as she focused on the fight, her mind empty of all but bloodlust and heat.

344 words

Green emeralds spotted the older, black form of Asphyxia long before she had teeth in her white fur. She let the smaller form crash into her, after all; once she had seen that she was here, the ivory femme wanted to fight none but her. Who cared about the original goal of coming here? As their two forms met she felt herself smiling; the mouse had come to eat the cheese. Teeth stung at her, but Mew did not release her smile. Revenge was so close she felt as if she could almost reach out and touch it.

The last time they had fought, Mew had been weak and large, but the filthy coyote knew nothing of the strength the wolfess really possessed. She let Asphyxia bite at her, in a way; using her muscles to make sure she didn't get a good hold anywhere. It would seem as if she was as clumsy as she was last time. In reality she was much stronger, and now driven by hate as well. Nothing would stop her. To taunt her, she spoke softly at one point when her mouth was level with the other's ear. "How'd you like my brother, Asphyxia? I heard he had a rather enjoyable time over at Inferni..." Hopefully it'd have an effect. A being out of control is a being that will lose.

The white-furred female had played this game so many times before. It had used to be her favorite trick when it had come to fighting before, when she'd traveled around. At one point she'd received training from an experienced fighter, and the result was a cold control over anything that happened in the fight. Asphyxia would believe she was an easy prey, partly because of her size, but Mew's agility was something you couldn't spot with an eye. Carefully she let the black female have "control", whilst making sure that she didn't get hold of her properly. She would "fight back", but in reality she was waiting for the right moment to enter the fight for real.

This post sucks, sorry. :| Long day @ work.

Coyotes emerged from everywhere, fired up and ready for battle. Where the hell had they all come from? Dahlia de Mai's little ambush quickly became a bloodbath, a nightmare filled with gore. There was no turning back now. Alexey was about to help one of her pack mates when the fight took an unexpected turn: a coyote femme was headed her way, ready to pounce. For a moment, she stood there frozen in fear. Her lack of reaction could have been fatal if only Kol hadn't been there to bail her out of trouble. That was the wake up call she needed to get her ass in gear.

Lexey was all over her assailant in a flash, giving Kol enough time to stand up and regain her bearings. Perhaps size would give her an advantage in this fight. She was small and unshifted, battling a woman in Optime form. It was obvious that her opponent needed to somehow bend over in order to land a hit on her. The tawny wolfess snapped her jaws viciously, aiming for the other femme's most vulnerable point at the time, the legs. If she got a few good bites in, then perhaps the bitch would be temporarily crippled.

She was doing good, at least she thought so, until an arrow zipped by her. It missed her by a inch or so, coming close enough to send shivers up her spine. Fuckers. Not only did they have the whole shifting advantage, but they were using weapons too? Alexey's attention was still focused on her adversary, but she already knew the next few arrows coming her way were going to hurt like hell.

This was short because I really didn't have anything to reply to.

indent The hybrid kept moving, and he and the chocolate male traded blows. Gabriel became something else, working with the mechanical focus of a war machine. His attention was focused on Haku alone, tunnel vision, ignorant of the bodies around him and the blood in the air. Ducking low as the blue-eyed monster lashed out, Gabriel rushed forward and threw his shoulder into the other man’s chest, head snapping around and bringing his teeth towards the throat.

Asphyxia was furious when Mew spoke into her ear, but instead of going out of control, it calmed her and set everything aside. She snapped at Mew, her jaw making a clicking sound as she tried to reach for Mew's neck. Asphyxia backed off, leaving space between the two, circling in. This was what she was taught to do, she had spent her first years learning to fight like a beast, being able to take down even the bigger opponents. "Your brother... oh he was okay. Maybe he could teach you some things too." she laughed even though really she was even hurting herself saying this stuff, but she didn't show it at all, her armor wasn't going to get cracked. Asphyxia jumped in for another attack.

Be sure everyone minds powerplaying, or at the very least contacts the parties involved before hand.

Ahemait's body connected with another figure rather than her intended target, and as the two crumbled to the ground she slashed out with her legs, having landed directly on her back. For an instant, she felt her lungs contract, begging for the oxygen back that had been stolen from them, but she ignored that burn as best as she could. The dark figure tried to get her bearings again, and another - her target - was on her in a flash, and a sick grin spread wide amongst her face. "What are you doing here little wolf, playing amongst the giants?" Unshifted in a battle against weres? Foolish! Ahemait's jaws snapped towards the flesh closest to her as the thing held her back - giving the black whore a chance to escape. Long arms and limbs never stopped moving, her desired affect would be to continue kicking and hitting the golden hued beast until she couldn't move anymore. Ahemait was still on her back, but managed to roll over to her side to give one good, strong, hard kick to buy herself a few seconds to get back on her feat. Thankfully, the arrow lent her a hand, and she took a few steps away from the fray to grin again. "Such an idiot, you really think you'll win fighting us?"

She charged. Ahemait brought her hands together, slamming her fists down with everything she had, hoping to land a good blow to the girl's back - sure, her legs were sore from getting bitten a couple times, but a good blow to the spine was more than enough to put the gold girl out of commission.

And, I'm expecting you guys will get to my turn before I'm back from Alaska. Mel, would you mind just NPC'ing Ahemait in one of your turns so I don't hold things back please?

powerplay let me know if you want it changed.. wasn't sure how many more rounds we'd be having but figured I'd start working on the whole hostage thing.

He had to admit he was slightly surprised by her youth--she wasn't much older than Talitha, and yet she seemed positively delighted to kill the coyote while he advanced. Snarling, he jumped toward her, hoping to knock her to the ground and get a few slashes. He then danced away, hoping to lure her further and further away from the rest of the commotion.
He had a plan for this one, and that plan did not involve death. For all of the chaos, he could still see through clearly to what was really important--Talitha. Always a fan of the "eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" methodology, he decided that he would take her. He would try to knock her unconscious, and then he would drag her off and stow her away. He wasn't sure what would happen then, but he knew she wouldn't see the light of day until he saw his niece's face.
Something in his tactics changed then. He used his claws and teeth less and attempted to land more hits with his fist. If he could clout her in the back of the head, maybe he'd have a chance. If nobody else noticed, maybe he'd be able to get away. Grinning like a madman, he moved forward again, taunting her, daring her to come in close.
