aw, though preferably for people I've never rp'd with before.

sharksHe'd forgotten already whatever plans he had had for his grand return. It was not so grand, and it was not really a return if he had never been there before. He was a faceless thing, a phantom in the night that left behind no trace of anything. In some sense, it had always been that way. Extensive and large as his family had been, he had never really felt an overarching feeling of closeness or a very tight bond. Indeed, he wasn't sure why it had taken him so long to realize that a significant number, if not most, of his relatives were just... crazy. The "conclusion" still bothered him though, because he questioned where his own morals had come from. If morals were innate, why did none of the others seem to have them. And if they were taught, then who had given him his? Who was there to define sanity, and how could he say he wasn't the same as them? It ran in his blood.

sharksArkham sat at the edge of the forest, facing the distant sea. The cloak that had previously obscured almost his entire head had been lessened somewhat so that only the upper portion of his head was covered, but his muzzle was free to breathe deeply the ocean breeze. Red eyes peered out through a gap in the cloth and similarly, his large ears were allowed to sit upright. The rest of his body was still covered though, and the scent of fresh mint still hung heavily in the air, now mixed with sand and salt. It was very lonely to sit on the beach alone, but it was something he had gotten used to long ago. He was likely sitting in a warzone now though, with Inferni to the east and a wolf pack to the west. Maybe that was something else he would need to get used to.

Asanotohl skipped along the beach, carefully picking up all the pretty stones and seashells she saw and cradling them gently within her arms. Her attitude for the past few days had been nothing but jubilant, despite a few painful memories coming back to her; she was learning things (all over again, apparently) and to be quite honest, she felt quite happy to be doing so. She bent down to pick something else up, her eyes drifting out unto the sea, a wistful sigh escaping her. She shifted her armful of treasure and straightened up, using her free hand to toss her ponytail back over her shoulder and readjust the lime-green bandanna with white polka-dots around her neck.

She looked around briefly, a dark figure against the forest edge attracting her eyes. Out of pure curiosity, and slight lack of anything personal of her own to do, she slowly approached, a tender smile upon her soft face and bi-colored eyes gleaming in vague interest; besides, he looked lonely. Hey… how’re you? she asked carefully once she was near enough. Asa grinned slightly towards his invisible façade (aside from his glowering, red eyes), and shifted her goods with a small rattle.

Hello. Smile

sharksThe skipping footsteps could have been heard for at least a few minutes before the girl decided to approach him, and for those few minutes, he wondered what she would say, how she would act towards him, and if he would be able to learn anything from her. The sea breeze was against him, but he figured she would be a wolf. For some reason, he figured a coyote would have been less hesitant and more direct in approaching him. He turned when she finally spoke, taking in her appearance and her scent for the first time. An arm full of seashells and a slight smile -- she didn't seem like she wanted trouble. Arkham smiled; it was good to reaffirm that wolves weren't all out to get them.

sharksI'm alright, he answered, Just admiring the ocean, contemplating life, the usual nonsense. And it was true, mostly, though the phrase "contemplating life" didn't seem nearly as complicated as the act actually was. As was "the usual nonsense." Even "admiring the ocean" had connotations that a stranger couldn't understand without delving at least a little bit into his past. What about you? Do you want a bag for those? He shifted a little and reached under his cloak to pull out a small burlap sack.

Asa merely grinned nonchalantly at his reply, suddenly regretting not slowly down to simply contemplate things such as her own life. But there was not much to contemplate due to her amnesia, and she was simply too high-strung when alone to do anything except go treasure-hunting, dive into another book or dance around in ballroom style. Her unmarked ear twitched slightly as the shrouded male spoke again, and she beamed enthusiastically. I’m just as good as you are, I’d suppose; and you’re so sweet, thank you! she said, her smile turning rather sheepish as she maneuvered slightly to free up one of her hands and graciously take the brown sack for his outstretched hand. She deposited today’s finding into the bag and turned slightly to sit beside the stranger, setting the lumpy bag at her feet.

She fiddled with her bandanna a moment, staring downwards rather nervously. She was a very open and trusting soul, yet sometimes found conversation difficult due to lack of things to say. I’m Asa, by the way, she said quietly, glancing towards his shadowy face before turning her bi-colored eyes towards the rather gloomy sky above.

sharksShe reminded him somewhat of Faolin in her infinite cheer, though his brother's mate had been quite a bit more talkative. He missed her, but he also wondered whether or not she knew what had really happened that night, or perhaps, if she had been in one it somehow. It was undoubtedly something he would have to ask her someday, just as he would have to ask Gabriel. Kharma, he said of his name, not thinking much this time about the fact that it was a lie. Curious red eyes peered at her from between the cloth covering his face, Do you live around here?

sharksThe coyote shifted his gaze back to the ocean. I just got here a few days ago, he continued, It seems the coyotes to the west are having a war of some sort. Do you know what's going on?
